6w ovulation-based age, measuring 6+3 with a 124 hr ♥ I think they will move up my EDD based on lmp to 10/14 Eta: I also found out this one is from my left ovary which seems like a fun fact lol
@5yearstrying size accuracy can be pretty off early on. 3 days is not a huge difference at all! My DDs size varied a week either way throughout the whole pregnancy. I’m excited to hear you got to see the heartbeat at your 6+1 ultrasound. I’ll be 6+2 at my first and was a bit worried about what I’d be able to see and not see

@demimondaine I also found out at my u/s yesterday that it was my left ovary too! I don't remember them ever mentioning anything about it last time, but this time I guess there's a small cyst on the left ovary which means that was the one that released an egg and was still closing when hormones started surging or something? Anyway the body is so weird/cool!
This was yesterday at 6weeks, measuring 6 weeks exactly with a heart rate of 120!
@5yearstrying I’ll echo others who say that a few days difference is totally fine as it’s so hard to get an accurate guess at this stage. My first 3 kids were ivf babies and I always measured either ahead or behind by a few days in the beginning. My ob just stuck with the due date my RE gave as that would be the most accurate since you know your exact dates. Congrats!!
Ultrasound today went great thank God! 6 + 5 based on period and baby measured 6 + 3 and had heart rate of 130! NP said everything looks great. So relieved since with 2 of our losses we never got to a heartbeat and with one we saw a problem with the placenta forming at this week. So making it through today definitely feels like a big victory 🙌🏻
Little one is measuring 6w3d (I had estimated 6w5d based on ovulation). I got to see the HB but I don’t know what it is or if the tech could calculate it at this point. ETA: will find out the details at my OB appt tomorrow!
So I had my intake appt with my OB and they did another US. Heard the HB for the first time, it was 128. They also moved my due date from 10/15 to 10/19 because yesterday and today baby was measuring for that date.
8+1 measuring at 8+3 with a beautiful, strong heartbeat. DH lost cell reception during my appointment so he had to settle for a video instead of FaceTime. Bit of a bummer, but now I have a video to watch whenever I want.
@aztecash So cute! I’m happy for you. I was able to take a video yesterday too and it was exciting to show my girls the baby moving it’s arms and legs and the flicker of the heartbeat.
6w 3d according to my LMP but measuring 6w 1d. Heart rate was 105.
I didn’t meet with the doctor yet but the tech scheduled me for another ultrasound for Monday. This doctor is different than my last who retired. Anyone else get scheduled for another one so soon? I assume if something was off they would have told me. 🤷🏻♀️

@ReadyForaB I had an US last Wednesday at the hospital for some bleeding. My original scan was scheduled for yesterday at the OB and they cancelled it cause they said ins won’t cover two scans so close together. She did do a bedside one at the apt tho. I would assume if something was off they would have said as well. I’d call the nurse to ask why, but just out of curiosity. They scheduled my next scan for March 31.
@ReadyForaB congrats on a healthy scan! so I get scans every week weeks 5-9 because I’m high risk, my regular OB doesn’t even do scans before 8/9 weeks. So I’m guessing since yours did one so early they just want to do another to make sure everything keeps progressing well? Are you at a regular OB? Doesn’t hurt to call the nurses and ask though just for reassurance but everything you shared sounds normal from my knowledge!
@steph-ann@momofmiracles31889 thanks for your responses! I ended up calling and asking why. I had an ultrasound at 4w4d bc of spotting so this one was technically the follow up to that one to make sure it was progressing. It is. Now they want to do another one in a week to make sure the heart rate goes up. She said they normally don’t do the first one until 8-10 weeks. So Basically because I got such an early one they now have to keep following up on them a week or two later.

Had my first ultrasound today and baby is measuring at 6w3d which is what they expected. FHR is 105.63 BPM, and my HCG is over 58K, so I’ve been released from my RE to my OB/GYN. So excited!
@cait32 thanks! My husband also has LQT3 (long qt syndrome type 3). I didn't realize until I started googling about a lower heart rate (I know I know don't google haha) that this could be an indication that this baby might have it. Or it could be completely normal. Although, it is an autosomal dominant trait, so each child we have has a 50% chance of inheriting it. Our 4 year old does not have the gene so I am just hoping we get lucky again but we shall see. OHHH the worry that comes with pregnancy!

Saw a perfect little jelly bean and yolk sac. Measuring right in track, 6 weeks 2 days with a little ticker of 122 bpm. She said if we had come in one day sooner, we wouldn’t have seen anything yet! 🥰🥰🥰

This was our ultrasound at 8w3days. Measured 8w4d. Heart rate was 164. We had one at 7w1d and HR was 138. We got released to our regular OB! So excited for everybody! We have been trying for 3.5 years. Had 2 failed rounds of IVF.
Got to see my little gummy bear (all I could think of when I saw it today) measuring around 8w5days but they are keeping my due date to 10/15 so 8w3days based on my period. Everything looked good baby’s heart rate was at 143 🤗
8wk1 day ultrasound, measuring right on schedule! 151 bpm. My husband was able to come and see it with me. He thinks it looks like a little baby Cerberus 🙄. Due Oct 15
99w+ 4 days today. Baby is measuring normal. I did see the heart beat but because my OB used a vaginal wand I assume it wouldn't say what the HR was. The baby was moving so much the OB was having a hard time getting a pic. This is a milestone for us because we didn't get to see a heartbeat with our first pregnancy and our second only got to 6 weeks.
@jtayl962 I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks using a transvaginal wand and they got a heartbeat, I bet because the baby was moving so much it was hard to capture the heartbeat.
@tari_sara I have one tomorrow too, I did not need a full bladder at my 6 weeks US and they didn't ask me to drink water for my 9 week appointment either. I would drink some water or something, in case they ask you to pee in a cup. That being said, later on you definitely will be asked to do it. I think I had to drink 24 ounces an hour before my appointment, in my last pregnancy.
@tari_sara The only appointment that I've needed a full bladder for is the anatomy scan. Every normal OB appointment starts with peeing in a cup, so my bladder is always empty for any U/S at those. I believe the full bladder is to limit the movement of the baby, so they can get all the shots/angles they need to analyze the heart, lungs, kidneys, etc. This U/S should be more focused on growth and heartbeat.
Re: *Ultrasound thread*
I think they will move up my EDD based on lmp to 10/14
Eta: I also found out this one is from my left ovary which seems like a fun fact lol
Today my scan (pictured) at 8w1d the baby's size and heart rate (145) measured at 7w5d. Anyone else here do ivf and measure behind early on?
