And I keep having such weird and vivid dreams! Last night I was trying to escape some sort of weird cult on a deserted island and Zac Efron had to sacrificed himself so I could get off if it, and his parting words were "make sure to tell the world about my cheese."
I would would like to nap all day still. 🤣 Nausea is starting a bit more, but is still tolerable. The worst right now is how thirsty I am 24/7. I could drink 80-100 oz and still wake up sooo thirsty. Good thing water is good for you.

I am 8 weeks today. My 1st appointment is on Wednesday, finally! I'm so happy I dont have morning sickness however I get nausea here and there nothing severe but no vomiting. I feel so fatigued though and when I get hungry, I GET HUNGRY!!! I've been craving fruits and spicy salsa which is so not me. I've been cooking at home more than when I wasn't pregnant. Weird. This weekend we'll be telling the grandparents we're expecting. I'm so nervous because in the past, they've really not been too happy with my past 2 pregnancies 🙄
7 weeks over here. All the nausea and fatigue. And I don't throw up, just dry heave and feel crummy pretty often. The nausea is so much easier to manage at home than it is in the office, despite my pretty huge snack drawer. @madiirosee I'm super cranky too, I apologized to DH yesterday for being snippy because I was just so tired.
8+2 today. The nausea is much milder with the B6+Unisom but it’s still pretty constant. But it makes me throw up way less, only once a day usually, so that’s better.
Pasta is always appealing, meat is always disgusting. Also strawberries, oranges and blueberries are my jam right now. It sucks because I feel SO HUNGRY but any time I eat a normal amount I throw up, so I have to eat just a little more frequently, but I’m starving!
I had to stop drinking coffee like a week and a half ago. I realized that was what was triggering a lot of nausea. I’ve switched to black tea/lemonade and it’s so yummy.
And reading! When I read books to my kids it makes me so sick. What the heck?? I haven’t been doing any personal reading either and I usually get up everyday at 5am to read. I’m going to fall so behind on my 2021 reading goal 😂
I have upper rib cage pain. I kept trying to think of what I did to it, but I didn’t do anything! It’s like i got hit by something in the ribs and it’s that next day soreness feeling but it’s been 2+ days now.
And exhausted. So exhausted. Still going to bed at 7:45 most nights and sleeping until my kids wake up around 6:45.
Does anyone have increased cramping at night? I haven’t been well hydrated today, I know that, but it seems like every night, I have increased cramping and it’s starting to get to me.

@chindimples04 I did last week! Like three nights in a row only when I laid down in bed. And I never had it with my first so it totally freaked me out.
I SWEAR I found baby’s heartbeat on my home Doppler today at 6w2d (according to my LMP). I know that’s crazy early but I know what it sounds like. I used it a lot with my son. Took me about 15 minutes to find but I did. Has anyone else ever found it that early?! I have an appointment in the morning and am excited to get an ultrasound and see what the baby is measuring.

@denise89_ good luck this weekend telling the grandparents. I’ve told my side but DH hasn’t told his. I’m 9+3 today. It’s kind of a strained relationship right now and he says it’s not on his priority list. I’m dreading when they find out cause I’m sure they’ll be unhappy we decided on one more baby. Like it really matters to them anyway. Not like they take care of our kids or be around for them. Lol
9 weeks - it's all-day sickness, exhaustion, and now round ligament pain has made its appearance. There are times when I am SO hungry that it seems nothing will fill me up. THEN we get to after I have eaten - immediate regrets. My hormones turn traitor on me in a heartbeat. It's so frustrating because it seemed like that food was going to work so well!
@denise89_ and @steph-ann I hope your family members will surprise you with kind responses but even if they don’t that’s their problem- don’t let them put a damper on your happiness- babies are a blessing and should always be celebrated! People need to keep their unsupportive opinions to themselves.
So far I’m trying to make myself laugh at the comments we are getting from some people... (we will have three kiddos 3 and under.... but this comes after 3 losses and a long adoption journey with our oldest son so honestly if people want to judge us I have no tolerance for that, we are happy and thankful and just want our baby to make it here safe to join our yes busy, but wonderful family). I just feel like I need to start my announcements off with “yes we have and will continue to have our hands full, no we are not crazy (most of the time lol) and yes we are happy about this so please don’t look at us like we just announced horrible news ” 🤦🏻♀️
I'm at 7 weeks... vomiting has hit me - I vomit at least 2-3 times a day. I'm thankful I'm still functional. The waves of nausea is enough to make me throw up but it's also fleeting in that I can still work normally.
I am a big coffee lover and this morning (6w4d) I ground my coffee, smelled it, and almost threw up. As funny as it is, this symptom is actually what is making this whole pregnancy thing *real* for me...because it’s so strange! I love the smell of coffee!
Otherwise, nauseous off and on all day, get really tired starting in the late afternoon, and have been irritable - two bouts of random crying in the past few days.
Definitely felt like I flipped a switch at 6w. Really can’t wait for the end of the first trimester! First scan next Tuesday.
Anyone else getting really dizzy? I didn't have this with DS and it's really getting to me. Doesn't help that with my job I'm at a computer for the majority of the day. Taking breaks and turning off my screen for a bit, but woof!
@noprobalo I think so. Way better than last week at least. Maybe I need to start doing some Body Armour too just to add it to my water intake. Sorry you got vertigo Sunday, that is the WORST!
@gingermama46 I got this way at one point with my pregnancy with my son and found out I was anemic- started iron and it got way better! Might wanna ask your OB if they’d wanna check that!
6w6d: I went to the ER yesterday because I was so weak and dizzy I couldn’t stand. I have a asymptotic UTI and finally got officially diagnosed with HG.
They wrote me for some antibiotics and was given IV meds and fluids. I was able to keep down a little tomato soup and a few saltines last night. This morning I woke up feeling the same and need to call my OB in a bit to make a follow-up appointment. I’m just thankful to have gotten fluids and now need to advocate for getting treatment that works.
Last night I dreamed that I was so exhausted, I fell asleep at my desk at work and got in trouble with the head of the organization. I guess I'm at the point now where I'm SO tired, that I'm dreaming about being tired.
@gingermama46 yes, I've been getting dizzy as well. Are you still breastfeeding at all? Because I am, and I'm starting to wonder if the dizziness is a sign that it's all too much for my body. I'm planning on talking to my doctor about it when I next see her, at least.
@mac-n-cheese prayers you and your doctors can find a way to manage your HG!! I’m glad they gave you fluids and acknowledged that’s what you have. Hang in there!!
@pizzaplz no he self weaned in October. I was wondering if my cheap glasses (Zenni) may be causing it? But then I wore contacts yesterday and had the same issues. I don't notice it as often at home but I imagine it's because I am chasing around DS vs at work I'm just in front of my monitors most of the day. ETA do you wear Rx lenses too? I know it's a common symptom, but just curious. Did you have it with DD?
I saw my OB as f/u to the ER this morning and baby is ok: measuring spot on and HR went from 128 at 6 weeks to 163 today. I have eaten 3oz of applesauce and a few inches of a 2L of 7-up in two days so they referred me to Optum home health care for a Zofran pump and a home nurse. In the ER again right now because I can’t keep down the UTI meds, any fluids and I’ve lost 4 lbs in 3 days. I literally wanted to punch the nurse who walked me out to the car and asked “have you tried ginger.?” 🤭
@mac-n-cheese I’m so sorry you are dealing with this but glad you are advocating for yourself! Prayers you get the help you need! Should you be able to get setup with the home nurse quickly so you don’t have to keep going back to the ER? Does the zofran help you keep a little more down?
I feel so bad for you bc my sickness is pretty rough but I atleast get a window each day I can keep a small meal and drink down but I’m still struggling mentally with it. It’s not easy. Hang in there and I’ll pray that this time it won’t last your whole pregnancy!
@galentine thank you for the kind words! @momofmiracles31889 it sounds like yours is pretty bad too. I totally understand how just that one meal and some fluids can make such a difference. I’m sorry that you are having such a rough time too. I agree the mental aspect of this is really hard. So I went to the ER yesterday @ 12pm after my OB appt and I got admitted to the hospital. They’ve been giving me a ton of meds, vitamins, and fluids. I’ve had at least 6 2L bags. I think I’ll be staying when night again since I still can’t eat. I’ve never wanted just to eat so bad.
I’ve got a great nurse and admitting doctor so I’m very thankful just to be here and taken care of. Thank you again for all the support and well wishes. Even if I can’t really write often it helps just reading our BMB and feeling the connection to all the women on this board!!
@chindimples04 I’m not a violent person at all but the thought of violence crossed my mind 😉 She was the one who wrote up the referral for home health and the Zofran pump too! She was helping me walk to the car because they were worried I was going to collapse!
So far just super fatigued. Worse in the evenings, I could fall asleep by 6pm! Also I’ve been having weird chest palpitations.... not pain, but I can feel my heart fluttering. It happens daily, intermittently. I thought maybe stress but sometimes it happens just laying in bed at night. Anyone else have anything like this?
@mac-n-cheese have you been able to leave the hospital?? So sorry you’ve been so sick
@k_rn21 I have an issue with my heart where I sometimes get a fast heart rate and it happens more in pregnancy. I’m also on Bonjesta which adds to it. I would suggest checking with your doctor and see if they’d want to check to make sure everything is ok! I see a cardiologist when I’m pregnant just to be thorough
@momofmiracles31889 I finally left he hospital yesterday afternoon at 2pm. Thank you for remembering me! I got home and was able to take a shower before home arrived. I now have a temp IV for 4 days to give myself IVF and a Zofran pump set up to give me medicine 24 hours a day go as long as I need it. So thankful to be home and see my SO and DD 🥰 ETA Spoiler Alert may be ***TW.***Medical device connected by SubQ catheter shown.
