Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A cherry
Upcoming appointments: Boutique U/S this coming Saturday. Meeting my new OBGYN on 3/2.
How are you feeling?: I wrote in the symptoms thread but last night I began to feel feverish and achy - today it’s mysteriously gone. I’m getting a Covid test today to be extra safe. Also feeling very fatigued today.
Rants/Raves: We went to my dads mountain house in upstate NY for the weekend. Nice change of scene but stressful weekend all around. Not relaxing in the slightest. We’re driving home now and the only thing calming DD is the stupid iPad. She spent the first 90 mins of our drive shrieking and inconsolable, while my bulldog sends himself into respiratory distress because he doesn’t like cars. I gave him a sedative for car rides this morning but it did not work. He’s still currently losing it in the back seat and I’m just over here trying to drown out all the noise. I could really use a cocktail today!!!!!
Questions: None!
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I don’t really binge watch things DH got me into Wandavision recently and it’s been fun to watch every Friday night.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a jack
Upcoming appointments: March 5, NT scan & standard blood screenings (no NIPT)
How are you feeling?: Just more of the same, still feeling a little nauseous even with the unisom/b6, but it's bearable. Still tired, still constipated.
Rants/Raves: My son just turned 6, and we told him about the baby on Friday! He was really confused and I don't think he knew how to take the news at first. Then the next day, he started talking more excitedly about the baby, and has been all about giving my belly kisses and hugs. It's very sweet.
Questions:
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? The Office always and forever
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Lego person
Upcoming appointments: I'm supposed to call my family doctor this week to set up my genetic screening appointment. Still waiting to hear from my OB.
How are you feeling?: Mostly exhausted. Not very motivated because of the exhaustion.
Rants/Raves: I'm finding it really hard to keep up with my toddler. Waiting for the weather to get nicer and my exhaustion to ease up so we can start playing outside again. Being cooped up in the house has been tough, I find he does better when we can change the scenery but I absolutely hate the cold and we haven't gotten much for snow this year.
Questions:
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I Just finished watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'll probably start rewatching Angel next.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: cherry..I think
Upcoming appointments: tomorrow - finally!
How are you feeling?: okay...I've actually started feeling nauseous this last week and it's pretty awful in the evening/all night. It's making me think this baby must be a girl since I never felt anything with my boys.
Rants/Raves: It's been a long weekend - temps in the negative all weekend, gross snow, and no sun and DH worked all weekend, so being stuck inside with the boys was bleh.
Questions: nothing right now
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I'm currently finally watching Schitts Creek!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Olive
Upcoming appointments: 3/2 intake, 3/16 first in person
How are you feeling?: So tired. Less nauseous with the b6/unisom but it all seems to hit around 4pm. Last night I went to bed at 6p 😬
@deziraywatt just having a rough time keeping up with the kids while feeling like dirt. They have so much energy. I’ve been putting them outside daily if I can and trying to do some activity daily. We made a snow volcano the other day but it was super lame and only held their attention 5 minutes
Questions: natm
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Probably Bridgerton. I haven’t really had the time/energy to binge watch anything but I watch a lot of different shows slowly! I’m way behind on this but I finally watched the Greatest Showman and would definitely watch it again
@r@runningonindie that sounds like a horrible car ride, hopefully you guys are home soon
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a strawberry
Upcoming appointments: Intake appointment March 3.
How are you feeling?: Food aversion is in full swing. Almost all food seems disgusting to me and I don't want to eat anything. Something will sound delicious one minute, then it turns my stomach the next. I'm also exhausted. I was in bed by 9 last night and fighting the urge to vomit. I'm glad that I feel worst at night because I am home and can just lay down if I need to.
Rants/Raves: I'm on break from work this week and I'm SO excited to just relax and take care of myself.
Questions: Nope.
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Currently bingeing "How I Met Your Mother". I think I last binge-watched "Downton Abbey" for like the millionth time.
@Aerialmrs that's so cute about your DS. I hope he stays excited!
@deziraywatt I hear you about just wanting to get out. It's too cold to take a walk but I really want some fresh air.
@chewie5990 yup...evening sickness here, too. I'm glad I'm not dealing with bad nausea at work, but it still sucks.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast I can sympathize about the snow volcano fail. I feel like my students are never as excited about our science experiments as I am!
@whatabout2ndbreakfast @runningonindie & @deziraywatt I am with you on the amazing amount of energy my kiddo has and the complete inability to send her outside because of the never ending rain and cold that seems to have taken over. It's killing me! Hoping for a reprieve for all of us soon.
@chewie5990 FX for a wonderful appointment for you tomorrow! I'll be sending good vibes your way!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby has graduated from embryo to fetus!
Upcoming appointments: I had an AWESOME appointment today! They told me I wouldn't get an ultrasound and only a doppler, but then at the appointment they decided to use the portable ultrasound machine anyway to catch the heartbeat since it can be easier than the doppler. DH and I were thrilled to see baby again since we didn't think we would get the chance until the anatomy scan.
How are you feeling?: Since they are cutting down on OB appointments in person, they decided to do the gestational diabetes test early with me so I got that done today. It was as God Awful as I remember it being last time. I had to count down the minutes until they could do the blood draw so I could vomit. Compared to that feeling, everything is roses I guess.
Questions: Considering how much they are cutting back on all the good appointments and ultrasounds, I am seriously considering a boutique US. Anyone have thoughts on these? Worth it or nah?
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Station 19. I'm stupidly addicted to anything Shondaland.
@Aerialmrs I had an NT scan with DS but this time around I think we are going to do the NITP blood work. I had a cousin have a baby with Downs since then and the nurse at my intake appointment was kind of pushing me to do the NITP over the NT this time but I like having the extra u/s of the NT scan.
@deziraywatt keeping up with the toddler has been awful. We haven't been able to go outside for almost two weeks. I got him Kinetic Sand for valentines day and he has been super into that.
@chewie5990 I didn't have any nausea with DS but this pregnancy it has been every day for weeks now so we shall see if the wives tale has any validity!
@whatabout2ndbreakfast I saw people posting that snow volcano and immediately thought it would only hold DS's attention for 5 minutes. We had some success with bringing buckets of snow inside and letting him paint them or spray them with food coloring and water.
@emeraldduchess the evenings are the worst! I almost wish I was more sick in the morning when DS is at daycare than at night when we are trying to do dinner, playtime, and bedtime.
@JustAnotherUsername16 what kind of drink did you choose? I always heard the the lemon lime was better than the orange. I didn't mind it too much last time.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 9+2
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: southern pecan
Upcoming appointments: just had my intake last Friday and she said they would call me to schedule my 12 wk and NITP but they haven't so I might need to call them.
How are you feeling?: I just want to poop! I am so backed up! Evenings are terrible. Dinner is always a struggle.
Rants/Raves: like everyone else it's freezing here and we haven't been able to get outside at all. Maybe by Wednesday we can. This weekend is supposed to be in the 30's so I'm excited to get out with DS, maybe we will go sledding.

How are you feeling?: the nausea has kicked in! 😢Carbs are my only friend.
Rants/Raves: We've had SO MUCH SNOW this year and I am 1000000% over it. It's going to be hanging around until June at this point because I don't remember the last day that was over freezing Temps so this garbage is just not melting.
I miss taking my baby out for walks and doing fun outdoor photoshoots with her
Questions: Nah
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Ghost Adventures is pretty much always on my TV so I guess that.

Questions: natm
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? DH and I are currently binging Yellowstone, it's really good but annoyingly slow moving...
@deziraywatt I can’t even imagine having to keep up with a toddler right now!
@chewie5990 my nausea is always worse at night...it’s so annoying
@JustAnotherUsername16 yay for a bonus u/s!
@krash_ I am 100% with you on not being able to poop. It’s TERRIBLE!
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 10+2
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a petit four
Upcoming appointments: tomorrow is my phone intake for my OB, which is funny because I’ve already been there twice
How are you feeling?: okay so nausea is starting (starting) to decrease, which would be nice IF everything I ate didn’t give me heartburn. I had like 4 ravioli at lunch and I’m still paying for it even after taking tums. Ice cream gave me reflux twice this week! Other than that, I’m just so tired all the time! Oh and ridiculously emotional. I had a complete crying/anger breakdown at DH for literally nothing last night. So that didn’t make me feel great haha
Rants/Raves: It was a long weekend and DH and I got to meet our new nephew!! He is so so so cute.
Questions: Nope!
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Bridgerton, and now I’m currently binging Gilmore Girls.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: size of a golf ball/spoonful of peanut butter
Upcoming appointments: U/S Wed (finally!) 12 appt Friday
How are you feeling?: biggest thing is I'm exhausted. Neausa is on and off. Also I stopped estrogen and progesterone injection last week from doing IVF so my face broke out and now I look like I'm a teenager.
Rants/Raves: we are going to Great Wolf this weekend for DD's bday instead of doing a big party. It will be nice to get a little one on one family time before life gets crazy this fall
Questions: nope
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Working my way through Modern Family
@j@JustAnotherUsername16 I just scheduled with a boutique u/s place for 15 weeks. This way DD can go. The reduced in person appointments is also a big reason I got a home doppler this time.
@Aerialmrs thats so cute! My oldest son seems to somewhat understand although he keeps saying its a baby girl and gets really upset if I say well it could be another baby boy
@krash_ I was so constipated the last few days and finally got relief yesterday. I ate a ton of bean salad maybe that was the trick lol!
@Centralmnmom i also just binged modern family not long ago. I had seen most of it but never finished the last few seasons. Its great though!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: cherry
Upcoming appointments: standard bloodwork tomorrow. In person appointment on 3/9
How are you feeling?: the same- nauseous and tired. My skin is getting weird- I have like little red bumps all over my back and shoulders which I’ve never had in previous pregnancies.
Rants/Raves: schools were closed today because of the cold so I had all three kids home and they fought ALL DAY LONG! I’m exhausted.
Questions: none
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Currently binging Army Wives and bawling at practically ever episode! Why am I doing this to myself 😭
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: date
Upcoming appointments: this Thursday
How are you feeling?: I don’t have any MS at all anymore. I may have a random mild wave of nausea but nothing that would make me want to lay down.
Rants/Raves: I’m sick of ordering grocery pickups. I never get everything I want and last time they didn’t notify me of the substitutions and they gave me things I won’t use. It’s just annoying. Plus they tend to give things that expire the very next day. The grocery store near me sprays their carts down with a nasty spray. It’s thick, smells disgusting, and stays on my hands even after I wash them several times. I feel like I’m just slowly feeding myself cancer every time I go in and touch their carts. I really feel bad for the people spraying it for their entire shift.
Questions:
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I’m currently binge watching The Handmaids tale.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a postage stamp
Upcoming appointments: Next Tuesday!
How are you feeling?: still exhausted all the time. Pregnancy rhinitis in full force. Bought some nasal strips to wear overnight and they've been helping. Constant nausea has eased up a bit, though the food aversions haven't really.
Rants/Raves: Not really.
Questions: Nah.
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I just finished The Runaways, and started on season 10 of Shameless last night.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Lego man
Upcoming appointments: No appointments until my 12 week ultrasound on 3/5 (which I'll be 13+2 and I wish I was doing it sooner). I'll also do the NIPT at the same appointment.
How are you feeling?: Exhausted but I'm finally feeling positive about the progression of my pregnancy
Rants/Raves: None

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: 🫒
Upcoming appointments: 2/19 for US and NIPT, 3/1 for NT scan
How are you feeling?: Feeling better with the nausea but still having aversions to all vegetables and heavy foods. Tired a lot and very moody.
Rants/Raves: I made an effort the last week to work out - I did 4 workouts the past week - two of them were 50 minute kickboxing sessions. I’m pretty much dead after those workouts though
Questions: Anyone else just feeling fat? This will be baby #3 and I haven’t popped but I’m just thicker. Sigh
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Bridgerton over Christmas but currently watching Your Honor. So good but I can only do one episode a night since I’m usually falling asleep by 9.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: strawberry
Upcoming appointments: feb 24 in person midwife appt
How are you feeling?: the nausea is starting to decrease thank goodness! I feel a bit more like myself each day. But my whole family has colds right now so we all feel pretty crappy in general
Rants/Raves: echoing @nasalot188 that we are just coming out of lockdown and I just can’t wait to be able to go ANYWHERE again!
Questions: none
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Hmmm I haven’t been watching a lot of TV lately. H is enjoying Superstore so I’ve probably seen that the most while I work on my jigsaw puzzle next to him

@krash_ yes we are going to Great Wolf at MOA. No you don't wear the mask while your in the waterpark. I'm to the point it is what it is. We aren't doing a large party for her this year (mainly to avoid the excess toys) but wanted to do something fun since I feel like 5 is a big birthday. We also went to Metropolis Water Park this summer for a small get away.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 9/19 / 9+2
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a canape
Upcoming appointments: Official nurse intake via phone this Friday, and a follow up with my new endocrinologist that morning too to go over bloodwork she had me get today. (fun fact, the endo that my primary set me up with is actually one of my neighbors/her son is one my son’s besties in the neighborhood)
How are you feeling?: Starting to feel less nauseated all the time. Still hits in the afternoon/evenings, but last night I didn’t really notice until I was about to go to bed.
Rants/Raves: We told our son, and my dad and his wife this weekend. Both experiences were amazing, and we’ll absolutely remember them forever. I’ll probably post the details in ‘randoms’ but don’t want to get too long-winded here. Other than that we stayed away from technology over the long weekend and just hung out as a family. It was really nice. – oh also, whoever had mentioned “its not the stork”, kudos to you! My son had a lot of questions after we told him and this answered about 98% of them.
Questions: natm
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? I binged A Discovery of Witches most recently and am all caught up through the current episode. I also just realized the other day that I haven’t seen the last two seasons of Brooklyn 99, so I’m catching up on those right now.And now for all the tags since I hid from the internet this long weekend ...
@runningonindie Sorry you had a rough night, hope your test goes well!
@Aerialmrs Your son’s post-news reactions are so sweet! It sounds like he just needed a little time to digest the news and wrap his head around it.
@deziraywatt Yes, Buffy and Angel for life!! I was sad to hear some of the information coming to light about Joss Whedon, I’ve loved so much of his work but now I’ll always have that in the back of my mind whenever I re-watch his content.
@chewie5990 The no sun has got to be the worst. I can handle a day or tow of gross, but when the sun never appears its like it brings the entire world’s vibe down a few too many notches.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast The Greatest Showman is constantly on in my house. It’s the main song on my sons ‘hockey pump up’ that he plays before each game, and he spends hours just trying to teach himself the dances from the movie. It is SUCH a good movie … my husband hasn’t even gotten sick of it yet, which is saying something lol
@emeraldduchess I feel like once I finally lay down for the day that’s when the nausea decides to turn the amps up to 11. I just lay there going ‘don’t puke/fall asleep’ over an over until finally I do manage to sleep and the nausea abates … or I run to the bathroom thinking I’ll puke but never actually do, then I repeat the cycle.
@JustAnotherUsername16 A bonus ultrasound, how exciting! Sorry you had to struggle through the glucose test early on though. I can’t imagine that was at all pleasant when there’s already first tri nausea happening.
@krash_ I’m so sorry you’re fighting the internal backup struggle, its so uncomfortable
@babybelugaco carbs are pretty much my only friend too. I’ve been able to stomach a few other things in the mornings over the past few days, but honestly with the nausea all I want is a plain bagel the end. If it’s not plain I fear my stomach will revolt lol
@nasalot188 That 2.5hr nap sounds amazing!
@runningoncookies I think we’re intake buddies. I already been in the office twice and had two ultrasounds, but I get my phone intake this Friday. It seems so odd to me.
@Centralmnmom We were thinking abut doing a GWL for our sons birthday. We’ve never been so we’re not sure it’s worth it. We’d probably spend most of his time in the arcade and do the magic-based game that they have vs doing the water park. I’m not fully sure I’m loving the cost but I also think the escape would be appreciated all around.
@emjeve I’m sorry you’re dealing with wonky skin things. Are the bumps itchy/uncomfortable or just strange?
@emeraldcity1214 I feel you on the grocery pickups/delivery. The only one I find that gets it right is Whole Foods, but I am not looking to pay Whole Foods prices for the majority of my groceries so instead I constantly struggle with incorrect items. If I send my husband on his way home from work then I still wind up with incorrect items half the time lol
@CanadianGamerMom Uhg the rhinitis! I feel you! I forgot it was a thing until my post-nasal started a few weeks ago. I get tonsil stones, and I am not looking forward to them increasing with all of this extra drip
@feelingjovani Glad you’re starting to feel positive about how things are going!
@Jcrewgirl85 I am absolutely just feeling fat. I looked in the mirror the other day and just ‘blah’. I know a bunch of it is because I basically only eat carbs right now, and I’ve completely stopped working out (took two weeks off bc of spotting, may start easing back in this week). I started this pregnancy close to the same shape I was in with my first, and my stomach is definitely out there sooner this time but it doesn’t have that nice bump-like shape. I’m hoping once my uterus starts to raise out of my pelvis all the ‘extra’ will just move to where I’m happy with. But right now I’m just living life in my stretchiest pants and trying to void my mother who will either go ‘you’re fat’ or ‘you’re pregnant’.
@muggsd I’m sorry your whole family’s not feeling great at the moment. That must be rough.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a prune
Upcoming appointments: Had an appointment with my GP today and got to hear the heart beat on the Doppler (after a lot of warning me that he may not be able to find it). Next one is the first trimester screening on the 25th
How are you feeling?: I am starting to feel way more like myself. I'm still tired but the exhaustion seems to be gone. Still having some aversions and I get a little queasy at times, but the symptoms have definitely decreased
Rants/Raves: My first maternity clothes showed up today! I got myself some maternity leggings and bras and underwear. I immediately changed into one of my maternity bras and the comfort level is amazing. I had to rely on my super old, extra stretch bras to be able to get everything in there, but now I have bras that fit again!
Questions: It might be early to worry about this, but does anyone have experience introducing cats to babies? I've googled a bit, just want to see if anyone has techniques that have worked for them
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Does a limited series count? If so, I binged Crime Scene: Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel over the weekend...
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: EDD 9/20, 9w 1 d
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: cherry
Upcoming appointments: u/s today! I feel so relieved I can finally make sure everything is OK in there
How are you feeling?: last week the nausea got terrible, then disappeared. Now it's back with a vengeance. Still exhausted too.
Rants/Raves: Rave: We finally had a real snow here so got to have a proper winter experience (ex snowmen, sledding, building a fort) condensed into 2 days. Rant: I'm having ongoing boundary issues with an inlaw who likely has borderline personality disorder. It's frustrating that I have to deal with them on a daily basis and didn't even realize that what's been happening isn't "normal", for over a year and a half since we lived with them. I have a hard time feeling supported from DH's family or DH himself as they tend to be oblivious about the boundaries being crossed.
Questions: anyone else feeling annoyed or grumpy with DH or kiddos?
GTKY: What was the last TV show you binge-watched? Superstore
