on AS, so she just confirmed that we had done the NIPT. She was confident that with that test and no soft markers that an amniocentesis was not necessary. So basically I did what you planned. I feel
confident with my decision.

@AKuzReve Hopefully you'll be able to get some things figured out with your son's doctor! Allergies can be really scary. That's exciting that you'll be able to sort through stuff from your mom soon too! I'm way behind on baby prep.
@laurad75 Did you get your cheez-its? I need to know these things. Hooray for potty training milestones!!
@sgrn18 Nights seem to be the most active time for my LO as well and I'm loving it too! One of my favorite parts of pregnancy. Hang in there with the bedrest! I took up crocheting last time. Got about halfway through a blanket. I hope to finish it before this LO arrives.
@DoubleUp8 I hope you have a good weekend this weekend. Take it easy on yourselves. Grief isn't an easy process. I'm glad your DS has been so helpful.
@akoros I definitely don't see a reason based on your previous testing and ultrasounds for this pregnancy that you should need to schedule a CVS or amnio. Invasive testing like that can potentially lead to other complications like PPROM and preterm labor and those risks can definitely outweigh the benefits if everything else looks good. I also agree with getting the doctor's opinion and talking it through with them as well as the genetic counselor to fully inform your choice either way. ALSO with the nose thing, it could be pregnancy rhinitis. I've been dealing with the same thing lately. Super annoying.
@ramzlau That's awesome about the settlement, but I don't blame you for putting baby shopping on hold. Hopefully the settlement gets figured out soon!
@angelz429 Did the progesterone shots make your nausea worse? I just started them this week but my HG hadn't fully gone away to begin with. Really hoping it doesn't start to get worse again. I'm glad YH is out of the hospital and doing better!
@mindyb2019 I hope you have an amazing appointment Monday! Yay for baby movements!! I'm glad you've been feeling good! the itchy chest could potentially be from your skin stretching. At around this point in pregnancy breasts may start to change shape and grow. Like ramzlau said, if a rash develops definitely mention it to your OB.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A pint of ice cream (mmm.... ice cream...)
Upcoming appointments: None until 2/22
How are you feeling?: Doing okay. This week is a big trauma processing week. Taking it day by day. Still getting sick every day but it's getting better.
Rants/Raves: I officially started my Makena injections and holy WOW the progesterone burns. Baby girl has been moving a lot more recently which helps me feel a lot more at ease, especially with such long stretches between appointments. Lots of awesome stuff happening with professional development (conferences to attend, possibly to present at, working on some research to submit to publish- really fun things). I just need to work past my trauma brain to actually DO anything, including my grad school work which has been a STRUGGLE.
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What's for dinner? Maybe burgers, maybe stuffed peppers, maybe pizza. Depends on how motivated we're feeling.

@disgruntled_pelican I made a goal this year to do 21 minutes of exercise 20 days a month, and just thinking I only have to do 21 minutes gets me started. Some days I struggle and stop there, but most of the time by 10 minutes I'm feeling good and keep going. Today was a struggle to start but I ended up running/walking 45 minutes. I walk and run outside in layers (the high today was 28) and like it bc otherwise I wouldn't be outside at all. I also do weights/yoga videos on YouTube.
@Omie_Wise ds2 (4) has been waking up early all week too 😭 he went back to preschool on Monday, and they nap there (he doesn't at home) so it's thrown off his whole schedule. No advice bc I'm dying too. His thing is he gets bored in bed so he just goes back and forth to the bathroom, pees the first trip and then waits until he gets a drop out on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th trip. Slams the bathroom and bedroom doors each time. Just keep reminding myself it's a sucky phase that will pass. I get cold in the evenings too and sometimes take a quick hot shower/rinse to help warm up.
