@DoubleUp8 - Both my girls have had choroid plexus cysts at their anatomy scan. I had different OBs with each of them and it was interested how they reacted. My first OB was super worried and sent me to have two separate scans at an MFM. The cysts had resolved by 30 weeks. My second OB told me he sees it on almost 10% of anatomy scans and that he wasn't worried at all about it.
@marebear15 Thanks! That helps me feel better. We are trying not to worry about the choroid plexus cyst. With the genetic testing all low risk, it seems there is very little to worry about. One article I read said it is more stressful and emotional for the mother than it is anything for the baby. I'm trying to look at the positive and say, hey, we get an extra peek at the baby at 28 weeks!
I also found out this practice does a 36 week growth check, so I get to see baby again. We were near a different city when DS was born, so I was with a different practice and didn't have an ultrasound after the a/s.

@DoubleUp8 fx the cyst clears up on it's own!! Thank goodness you did all the genetic work already so that you have that peace of mind. Hopefully it'ss cleared up by 28 weeks so you can just go in and enjoy seeing baby squirm all around!!
@sgrn18 I am sorry you are on bed rest. I hope the time flies by for you!
I had my anatomy scan on Monday and everything looked good. They were unable to get a profile shot and a couple pictures of the heart because baby wasn’t cooperating but doctor wasn’t concerned.
I have my anatomy scan coming up in 3 days on Monday and my PGAL brain is going haywire through the roof and im sooo nervous. Im trying to stay positive but I just had this bad feeling in my stomache that im going to hear some bad news and and i can't shake it. I've made so far this time and I dont want my pregnancy to end with bad news. Ugh. I hate PGAL!! 😫 I'm going to be a hot mess come Monday. I sure hope baby looks ok.
@mindyb2019 Sending you lots of hugs. I'm sorry your brain is going every which way. Hopefully, this baby will look great on Monday. Hang in there mama!

@mindyb2019 Thinking of you, and totally understand the anxiety. On Wednesday when she started the scan the sonographer, was all chipper and, "ok, cute baby!" and I just demanded "IS SHE ALIVE???" since at that point I hadn't seen any movement or the heartbeat yet. Baby responded by moving her head, so I calmed down, but before then I was a mess.
I have my AS next Friday afternoon. Can I just say, I can't stand afternoon appointments. I do nothing but sit and think about it all day long!!!!! I'm having a lot of anxiety about this appointment and would really just like to see the baby move and hear the heartbeat. At our last ultrasound, everything looked great so I just keep telling myself that everything should be fine!
Good luck to everyone with appointments coming up!!

@akoros@tilournextadventure thank you very much. It’s such a tough stressful appt. @akoros I always want to know if the baby is alive too first thing lol I’m the same. It’s like don’t tell me anything but that the baby is moving and still has a HB then you can continue.
@Maggie1202 I feel ya on the afternoon appointments. I hate them too and when I have one all I do is sit around and think about it all day and dwell on it. That’s why I try to have appointments as early as I can in the morning to get it over with lol. I’m sorry your having a lot of anxiety about your appt as well. I feel your pain there. I keep trying to tell myself too that everything will be fine cause last u/s I had looked great. I’m hoping that continues with this one.
@mindyb2019 I'm sending you lots of love. Because of my previous pregnancy trauma I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Unfortunately that's one of the reasons I haven't been as active here as I'd like. I just keep waiting for something to be wrong. I have my early anatomy scan Tuesday and am spending the whole weekend dreading it.
I’m sorry to all of you worrying about upcoming appointments. I can only imagine what it’s like leading up to each appointment when you’ve had past trauma. Sending everyone love as AS approach and they can provide so much information about our growing babies. @mindyb2019 maybe start the scan by telling them you have a lot of anxiety and would first appreciate knowing baby has a hb and is moving then they can move on to their measurements.
@klj0228 That's really good advice, and something I forgot to do this time. I have started mentioning that I've had losses at the outset (usually they blood and indicate they already knew), but it's a good point to specifically ask if they can quickly verify the heartbeat first, or at least indicate to you that they can tell the kiddo is still alive.
@ashaislurking I definitely feel ya there and your not alone. Cause of my past losses I have been waiting for something to be wrong too. Im dreading my AS on Monday too. I just want it over with so I can forward no matter what they may be good or bad. GL on tues for yours. Ill be thinking of you too.
@klj0228 thats a good idea. Thank you. Before the tech starts on Monday im just asking if she can tell me if there is still a HB and if the baby is moving then she can do what she needs to do. Helps me to calm down.
@ashaislurking@mindyb2019@Maggie1202 Sending well wishes and peaceful vibes for this weeks AS appointments! Hoping for lots of grace and compassions for those around you.
And I second @klj0228 advice. With DD I started out the anatomy scan telling the specialist that we were stressed and nervous because of family history. She responded with so much compassion and slowed down to explain everything, it made such a difference and once we knew DD was okay, we were able to relax and enjoy being able to see her.
Hi all looking for an update. Sorry I’ve been MIA!
Had my anatomy scan yesterday and baby boy looks fantastic! He’s healthy as an ox 😆🥰🥰 All his organs looked fantastic and normal all the way down to his lips and eyes and legs and arms. He has the perfect amount of fluid around him and my placenta and cervix look great at 3.8cm and sealed. Whew!! Man am I ever glad that is over. Another milestone down yesssss! 😁😁
Had my A/S monday with MFM and follow-up with my OB today. Everything looked great and no concerns were found on the scan! The MFM also said I did not need to come back to them for any further appointments which is great news.
In other news we've been on team green, but mh did a 180 while I was at the anatomy scan on Monday and suddenly decided he wanted to know what baby was. I called them today and got the update that we are having a boy, so excited!
congrats to everyone else for the good results from your anatomy scans!
Anatomy scan was perfect today ❤️ super happy and relieved. I have ultrasounds every 4 weeks from here on out to check on growth (because of GD) and just to make sure everything is going smoothly (history of MCs) I really appreciate my MFM and my OB being like test happy. I'm all for all the tests.
I had my 20 week appointment this morning, anatomy scan results were good! Everything looks normal, anterior placenta was confirmed(as I expected). She was measuring about a week ahead during the AS and today my belly is measuring 2 weeks ahead. 😬 I for sure won’t make it to my 39 week repeat csection date 😩
Also had my AS today. We asked for the results in an envelope so we could open as a family this evening. Oh my gosh, I am so excited to be having a girl!! It took a lot of patience to wait until DS was home but so worth it when he screamed he was so excited for a sister.
Appointment went great as she was moving around a lot and is measuring a few days behind but I'm short so DS also measured behind which is fine by me.
I'm so excited to hear everyone else is having great appointments. ❤️❤️
I love hearing about everyone's positive scans. Mine isn't for another 2.5 weeks and I'm getting really anxious.

I thought I was going in yesterday just for a fetal echo but they had me in for an early anatomy scan. I'll have another one in 4 weeks at my next monitoring appt at the MFM at 21.5 weeks. Everything looked good, and his heart looked perfect right now. She was excited bc he was fully stretched out when she started and she thought it would be quick, but as soon as she started poking he rolled up in a ball and started shaking a fist 😂 during the scan was the most I've felt him move bc he kept turning away from her. He's still measuring 1.5 weeks ahead 😳
Had our anatomy scan today, baby boy is healthy! The tech did ask if we were sure about the due date because he is measuring big, but so did DD. We are 100% sure about the due date. Glad to have that behind us. They did mention that we should go back to the perinatal specialist between 28-36 weeks to check again, anyone else have this?
I had an appointment with my ObGyn yesterday and we talked about plans for delivery and for birth control after this LO is born. I signed consent forms for my c-section and fallopian tube removal and we're scheduling my c-section for around 6/3!! It seems so far away but I know it's going to come up quickly. The office will be calling me with the official date once it's set with the hospital. I also got my AFP drawn and that came back within the normal range so I'm really thrilled about that. We were snowed in today so I'm hoping the office has my progesterone and I can get started on it tomorrow. I'll be calling first thing in the morning before I have to go to work.
20 week office visit went well ❤️ baby boy was moving all over, his heartbeat was strong, I'm measuring right where I should be I lost 7lbs in 4 weeks so keeping an eye on that but not too worried. Over all it was a great visit
