Waiting to until baby arrives to find out? Answer the poll and let us know you’re team green!
Team green! I have one of each and found out with both of them. DH and I decided a LONG time ago that if we had a third, we would go team green. He’s now wavering, so I have to stay strong!
Team green here as well! DH and I agreed in adulthood there aren’t many good/fun surprises that come along, so why not let this one be a bit of a fun mystery.
It’s funny to see our families already starting to try and guess, but I’m grateful our gifts won’t be super gendered as a result of not knowing!
Team green here. We were last time as well, and loved waiting. It was hilarious to watch everyone guess before. Although, now everyone says girl because we have a boy.
@cyanope I could have written your post about myself verbatim. Even down to the fact that my husband is wavering. I'm staying strong, and since he can't go to the anatomy scan.. looks like he'll be staying strong too lol
I was open to team green but DH says hell no, and since I'm such a planner, we will find out! I'll get genetic testing done at my appt on Thursday and will check the box to find out the sex. We have one of each right now, and I have no preference as to what the 3rd will be. BUT I also don't want to lay in bed with insomnia and worry about what crib we will use and what kid we're going to change into the 3rd bedroom (that is currently our guest room).
Decided to find out so we can tell our daughter and help her prepare. Should be finding out sometime this week, had my NIPT last week. I'm guessing girl, DW says boy. We'll see!

We're Team Green. Doing IVF, there wasn't a lot of spontaneity or fun involved in conceiving this baby, so we wanted something to not feel "controlled". Also, I feel very strongly about not having overly-gendered clothing, and I know the only way people will stick to that is if they literally have no choice but to get us gender-neutral items. We did NIPT and got the results last week (all low risk, yay!). I didn't have a choice about them not running sex on the test, but when I viewed the results I could choose to see them with or without baby's sex.
We're definitely finding out, but I'm sort of tempted to not tell anyone else, is that awful? I couldn't stand not to know, but would also like to minimize gendered baby gifts.

Not awful at all! As long as you're both on board to not give it away to anyone
We are waiting until 12 weeks or NIPT results to find out. Since we did IVF all I would have to do is call and ask. NIPT isn't scheduled for another 2 weeks, so I will probably be calling to find out before we get the results. (:

@bard37 check out this post! You can answer the poll because numbers are fun! We’ve got a lot of team green, but @surrenderdorothy was our first team blue! 💙
Found out on Feb 1st that we are having a boy! This is my second baby/boy and my BF’s first at all. I didn’t mind either sex but excited that my son will have a little brother💙
Congrats everyone! Gender makes it feel *so* real. I am Team Green for one more day. We decided to call to find out at 12 weeks (IVF pregnancy). I am so nervous and excited.

Just found out we're having a girl! I'm so thrilled and it just kind of feels unreal.
Also, I was asking about this on another thread so in case anyone else is curious- I actually got my NIPT results back really fast, only six days after having taken the test (five days after the results reached the lab). Definitely was not expecting them when I woke up and checked my email this morning!
I could have SWORN this baby was a boy, even during my ultrasound I thought “that’s a boy”...but genetic counselor just called and we’re having a baby girl! I already cried about boy names I’m so excited to tell my SO
Just got my NIPT results in! We are having a boy!! My gut said boy but I thought I was wrong 😂😂 all my cute girl baby clothes from DD will have to wait for the next potential baby.
@halfconvert, my dad loves to tell the story that he had a wife, FOUR daughters, and two female cats. One of the cats got pregnant...and then had six kittens, which were, you guessed it, all girls! It wasn't until SIX years AFTER they were totally done having kids (and my dad had accepted the fact that he would be the only male in a house full of girls) that they had a surprise pregnancy. They didn't find out the sex, and on the day of delivery, my dad got the biggest shock of his life: it was a BOY!
Super jealous of all you finding out the sex of your baby! I tried to do the sneak peek but they couldn't use my sample because it took too long to get to them. Hopefully I can find out at the anatomy scan in April 😅
I had to wait till then last time, good news is they can definitely tell unless baby is in uncooperative position so you should be finding out pretty much for sure. Hang in there ladies!

Got the gender results back a week before I expected! I was so sure it was a boy but nope. This little tie breaker is a girl! DH is super disappointed but I’m just glad all the other results came back good. Now we have to start thinking about names... at least I don’t have to fight DH on the boy name he was set on using that I hated
With my first I didn’t do genetic screening and we just couldn’t wait till 20 wks so at 14-15ish wks we went to a 3/4D ultrasound place. It was a really neat experience and I think it was only $50ish. I’ve seen groupons for those places for cheaper than that too. Might be an option if you’re impatient and have the $$ to spare!
Re: Boy, Girl or Team Green?
I've also heard that its a great surprise. But I usually read the last chapter of a book first, so MH is really the steadfast one there.
