Re: Weekly Symptoms 1/3

  • @ashkel215 yes 9 week nausea hit me soo hard! I made it to my car today after work and 2 minutes down the road had to pull over! Blah!

Yes hungry very suddenly. Empty feeling stomach creates more nausea. Constantly munching in saltines and cheerios. Craving all kinds of fruit. Not much into hot foods.

Belly already puffing out a bit and Im not ready! Haha plus I feel people will guess before I have a chance to say!

Ginger candies and gum help. Small meals but I need to constantly replenish which can be tricky at work!

  • I need more desk snacks for sure! Something with protein (instead of just my Hostess snack cakes and jolly ranchers). Sometimes nothing sounds good and I don’t eat, then the empty stomach makes me nauseous.

  • @emmylou78 salt and vinegar almonds are my go-to desk snack with protein.
  • I am soooo tired. Yesterday and today, it's like a constant drowsiness and fatigue. This didn't happen last time, so it's a weird feeling.
  • Just coming here to complain. For weeks I've had pregnancy eczema. Never had exzema before and got it like two seconds after becoming pregnant. I've been able to heal it on my arms but not on my face and it's killing me. It's so damn itchy. Thankfully it's not that visible. Second, I've know had three visual auras precede a migraine. I've had migraines for 20+ years but auras are new. It's so freaky! I feel like I'm tripping. And of course I can't take any of my meds, just Tylenol. Bah! I'm like 3 days into a headache right now and I'm sick of it. Just venting. Hope you all are feeling somewhat better today.

  • @claireloSC ugh I’m sorry! The eczema sounds terrible. I also suffer from migraines and pregnancy is rough when you can’t take any of your normal migraine relief. The only thing that I have found has worked even a little bit is taking Tylenol and drinking a small amount of caffeine. And using a cold compress on my head and the base of my neck.

I hope you get some relief soon! From both the itching and your 3 day marathon headache.
  • Thank you @pickle-chips! Agree with those methods, also use a rice pillow I made, heated up in microwave, and that gives me enough relief especially in middle of the night that I can fall back asleep.

  • @claireloSC I have eczema, especially bad in the winter.  Eucerin lotion multiple times a day and aquaphor at night (it will probably make your face breakout 😣).  That’s my usual routine.  Sometimes I also take allergy medication as well.  Also look out for symptoms of PUPPP.
    Hope it heals quickly!!
  • @claireloSC migraines suck! I'm really sorry you are dealing with that. I had a two months towards the end of my pregnancy that I had one or two a week last time. I really hope they subside for you.
If they become frequent could you try an ice hat? It sucks that Tylenol doesn't do much for them.

As for the eczema, there is a company in Canada that sells a coco-oat soak that is AMAZING. It's So Luxury. Maybe there is something similar in the US?
  • @claireloSC I get silent migraines, which is the aura without any pain. I'm not complaining at all, but just to say I know what you mean about how trippy it is. I had one yesterday and I just had to wait it out.
  • @shoogapoff It's so weird! It usually happens when I'm looking at screens so I was feeling like that in the middle of a video meeting the other day. I'm sure I looked like a weirdo.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I am using a RX cream from my doc and cetaphil pro-derm products. They help it's just slowwwww. The Rx worked better on my arms than my face for some reason though.

  • @claireloSC ugh lady that sounds awful. No advice but hoping the eczema and the migraines go away soon. Most likely related to hormones right? Hopefully the second tri when hormones stabilize a bit brings you some relief. In the meantime hang in there.
  • @surrenderdorothy Yeah I'm sure. And thankfully they aren't as bad as my normal migraines either. Finally started feeling better yesterday afternoon but had to grind through many hours of homework in the meantime. Got it all done though and feeling good today!
