    Team Green/Pink/Blue: having a boy

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I never know.

Upcoming appointments: 24 week appointment on Thursday!

How are you feeling?: Physically ok but I'm definitely fatiguing earlier. On my days at home, I can keep up with my toddler until about noon then I'm ready to lay down. Contrastively, I can put in a full work day at the hospital before crashing at home.

Rants/Raves: Youtube yoga prenatal videos have been helping so much! I'm doing them daily now and have been holding up well, even though I haven't seen my Chiro in weeks (she had a covid exposure and now cases are too high in my area for my comfort).

    Questions: none this week

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )?

Goals for next year (keeping the bars low)

    - birth this baby
    - potty train my toddler
    - go on a real date, with just my husband, at an (outdoor) restaurant
    - finally make a damn photo book
    - increase charitable giving 1.5x

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 4/15, somewhere in the 25 week range

    Team Green/Pink/Blue: pink

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: her foot is the size of a AAA battery

    Upcoming appointments: 1/27

How are you feeling?: Pretty good overall. My back hurts constantly and makes it super uncomfortable to lay on either side to sleep, but this is way better than it was with DS.

Rants/Raves: My asthma has been awful since the leaves started to fall and I’m so tired of it. I miss vacation, that kind of major change is the thing that’s helped my body recover in the past. I could have allergy problems for 3 months but a week trip home to the east coast and it would let my body recover without needing meds when I came back. Now I’ve been on allergy meds and an inhaler almost my entire pregnancy.

Questions: I feel like she’s so low! Like, when I walk up the stairs I feel like lifting my leg to take a step up crams into her. Is that a anterior placenta thing or is she just nice and low and cozy?

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? I totally forgot this year. Usually I try to think of something and don’t, so it’s not weird for me not to have one. I generally just hope for a happy, healthier year, more patient year.

  • @forevertired, I think it's an anterior placenta thing. This one is super low, too, and DS1 was anterior fundal, and I swear he lived on my cervix and sciatic nerve. Also... With these two, SO MUCH BLADDER PRESSURE
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: April 29/23+5

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I think a coconut? I don't remember.

Upcoming appointments: Had one yesterday, so 2/3 with my glucose test in the couple of weeks before that.

How are you feeling?: So grumpy and extremely insecure. Heartburn and gas pain in my chest.

Rants/Raves: So glad the holidays are over and work is back to normal!

Questions: Does anyone else feel crazy about their body image right now? I feel guilty for being upset about how I look because I know many women would kill to be pregnant, but I can't stop obsessively looking at my body and analyzing it from every angle and looking at pictures of other pregnant women and comparing myself to them. It doesn't help that strangers are starting to make comments, which tells me I really am huge because they feel so sure I'm pregnant and not just fat. It freaks me out to be this large at 5 months. I'm terrified of what I'll look like at 9 months.

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )?

No, just excited to get back to running once baby is born. It would be nice to pick up a personal training client or two but I'm not holding my breath.

  • @riff323 I definitely google "xx weeks pregnant" and compare my belly to other ranom women's bellies, for no good reason.  People are being real nice to me in public so I assume it's quite obvious I'm pregnant at this point.

@rexnie I do a prenatal yoga video almost every day too.  And potty training is on my list for this year as well.  We are planning to give it a shot MLK day weekend, which is so soon!  It's the only holiday weekend we'll have for a while though and I would like to have some time between potty training and having a newborn.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: eggplant

Upcoming appointments: I have one today at 10am!

How are you feeling?: Overall pretty good.  I get tired more easiliy but I haven't been having any serious aches or pains and actually have noticed a reduction in heartburn.

Rants/Raves: I think I am seriously nesting and it feels so good to clear out this house in preparation for the baby.  Last night I organized the laundry room.  It had gotten so bad that we couldn't even walk through it and it's looking a lot better -- though there is still so much crap in there that we should get rid of.  This was mostly a condensing/organizing rather than a purge.  We just agreed to renew our lease so now I am confident we'll be here long enough to want a nursery, so I am all over my buy nothing group and FB marketplace looking for stuff to convert our guest room.  So far I've gotten a glider/rocker and bought a slipcover for it.  We still need a crib and dresser.  We could move my son (2) to a toddler bed and use his crib, but he hasn't climbed out yet and I am reluctant to mess with his sleep.  I never got to set up a nursery for him until he was 6 months old because we were in a one bedroom, and at that point I was so exhausted I did not enjoy it.  It will feel good to have this one set up ahead of time and all the clothes/stuff in the right spot.

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )?

I don't have any specific resolutions but I have some goals/things I'd like to happen this year:

get back to going to the gym regularly (once gyms are open and I'm not pregnant)
either finish or nearly finish my dissertation (I need to be done by May 2022)
find a job (again, by May 2022)
go on a vacation with kids
go on a vacation without kids

How are you feeling?: Overall pretty good. I started incorporating spinning back into my routine, and doing some prenatal strength and core classes. I'm eating cleaner foods, which I think is helping my reflux (yay!). This sciatica is for the birds though *grumpy*.

Rants/Raves: I get to work from home starting in 2 weeks! I'll be at home for either 4-8 weeks, which is great.

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? DH and I do a "state of the union" every New Years and we make some goals for ourselves and our relationship. Our goals this year focused on a healthy birth, prioritizing our health more, complete/make progress on getting our estate planning done, make a plan for maintenance household chores that are done on a weekly basis (cleaning fans, baseboards, shampooing upholstery, etc).

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is: As tall as a container of Lysol wipes?

Upcoming appointments: 1/27 for glucose test/checkup

How are you feeling?: Generally pretty good, just tired. Baby is bopping around a lot more so it's nice to have the reassurance of feeling them move around!

Rants/Raves: Rant - There is so much clutter now around my house after the holiday and I don't have the energy to do anything about it but also it's annoying the crap out of me! I know it's within my power to put things away, but UGH!

Questions: Daycare vs. Nanny? We have some part time care from my mom but we need 2 days worth of care per week.

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )?: I'm trying to exercise in the morning so that I can get it out of the way! And trying to read more books (as many as I can before I have no time with baby lol). Otherwise, it's 1. have a healthy baby and 2. Keep said baby alive and happy lol.

@aisukurimsarang I also feel bitchy all the time right now! I hope it's a hormonal thing. Everything my husband does pisses me off for no reason and my job is driving me crazy - I feel like I have NO fuse left. I'm definitely with you!

@riff323 I feel you so hard on this. I don't feel like my bump LOOKS that big yet, but I feel gigantic and I'm constantly stepping on the scale and cursing myself. I know I shouldn't base so much on numbers, but when I see the charts saying "you should only gain this much" and I'm 5 pounds over that and growing, it makes me nervous and very self conscious. I'm simultaneously less concerned about what I'm eating than I normally am and more concerned about my weight gain, which seems to be constant and unceasing. It's really a struggle. Also terrified of how much bigger I'm going to get and what the final number on the scale will be - I'm really dreading it honestly...

@rexnie I love your charitable giving resolution! That's wonderful!

  • @bbrahmbhatt Last week I mentioned an "appointment" to a friend and she was like oh, an ob appointment for the baby? And I was like no, another really fun aspect of preparing for a first child - meeting with lawyer for estate planning in case we die!!!! haha  :D Glad to be getting that out of the way though!

Now DH and I just have to decide who we will designate as a guardian if we both were to die - anyone else feel like they wouldn't want anyone to take care of their child? Haha. Like literally can't think of a single family member I'd 100% be okay with raising my child and it feels like way too big of an ask for a friend.
  • @theblondebump this estate planning has been an interesting process so far. We are debating between doing TODs and designating beneficiaries vs a trust. It's a lot to figure out. We were able to pick a guardian pretty easily, thankfully, and we put them down as beneficiaries on all of our accounts in the event that we both die. Such fun things to think about, but very necessary lol.

    Questions: none

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? I don't normally make any serious resolutions, but I always have some health/fitness goals each year. This year, my goal is to continue exercising through third trimester. I ran and worked out through 2nd tri with my son but he was born in August and it was too hot to do much outside so I gave up on anything other than walking. Now that I have this Mirror, I am going to try to continue doing *something* at least 3x/week through the remainder of my pregnancy.

@anarmillay92918 daycare for the win, if you can find one that will take your babe part time. The socialization that my kids get at daycare is invaluable. They learn so much from the other kids!

@bbrahmbhatt I love the "state of the union" idea! I want to steal that for DH and I. Being cooped up together in our house for 9 months straight has been taxing on our relationship, so that sounds like a nice way to get into a better space for 2021.

Upcoming appointments: January 11 for checkup and one hour glucose test

How are you feeling?: I can’t complain really! Just tired. Still having nerve pain in my leg and back, and the occasional dizzy spell.

Rants/Raves: I wish it would snow! My girls really want to see snow, and so do I. There’s a slight chance on Friday but I’m trying to not get my hopes up. Typically in NC, winter means cold rain and that’s about it. Super fun. 🙄😂

    Questions: not today!

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )?

Rather than making resolutions, I like the idea of picking a word to focus on for the new year. I think my word this year is peace. Not just for myself necessarily, but I feel such a need for peace in our current world that I hope to somehow bring comfort and peace to others that are struggling. ❤️ As far as health wise, I’d love to get back to regular exercise once the baby is here but we’ll see how that goes, haha!

  • @juliebird6 thanks! We started it about 3 years ago, and we've found it really helpful. We usually talk about what we felt went well and what didn't go as planned for the year, any areas of concern we have and then set some goals. I've found it helps us stay connected and feel closer to each other. We even started jotting down things that we talk about in a google doc to look at periodically throughout the year. It's not "sexy" lol, but we have found it valuable.

@bbrahmbhatt Ugh we so need to go through and add beneficiaries to our accounts.  We each have life insurance policies but I think the only person listed on each of ours is the other person.  At one point I made a list of all our accounts and gave it to my brother so at least he knows where we have money, but he is not listed as a beneficiary.  Partially we are torn about who to ask to be guardians in the event of our deaths so we are putting off making anything official.  My brother and my husband's sister would both be in good positions to do it and we'd be happy with either of their families taking in our kids, so i figured maybe they could work it out if it came to that.  But that is probably not the best plan (or lack of a plan really).  Also, you shampoo upholstery weekly?  :o

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @kadeephd yes, we read an article about how, depending on the state, who becomes guardian in the event of both parents dying without named guardians can be difficult, particularly if there is contention. I think at this point we covered all our accounts; for most it was pretty easy and done online, but for our checking/savings we had to physically go into the bank. No, we definitely don't shampoo upholstery every week. We generally hate doing those random tasks that arent done a a weekly or even monthly basis, so we decided to spread them out over the year and just made a schedule essentially. That way we're each only spending 15-30 minutes per month doing an undesirable chore.
  • @juliebird6 ohhh, how do you like the mirror??? I've been thinking about a valentine's day present for DH and was considering the mirror, though I know he'd also love a peloton and selfishly, I know that I also would use a Peloton so I'm leaning towards that lol. But I don't know anyone personally who has the mirror - would love to hear what you think of it!
  • @theblondebump so far, I’m loving it! There are a lot of categories to choose from (barre, yoga, strength training, HIIT, boxing, dance, etc.) which is really cool. I was pleased to see that that prenatal strength training sessions I’ve done so far are actually led by a pregnant woman, and they’ve been pretty challenging! I haven’t had a chance to explore much beyond that yet, but there are live classes, a community to connect with, buddy workouts and personal training so lots left for me to figure out. I imagine it’s fairly similar to peloton, but I don’t spin and have zero interest in that so this is a better fit for us. We have various home gym pieces already and so far, I haven’t felt like I need to run out and buy anything new in order to complete the workouts I’ve seen.
  • @juliebird6 oh thats very interesting! I thought it was mostly HIIT/strength training focused, that's cool that it has lots of different categories - sounds like some categories I would use too, haha. (It really is a gift for DH because he works out way more than I do, but I'd like to also be able to use the gift once in a while)
  • @anarmillay92918 I think daycare vs nanny depends on your situation. I can work from home and our small apartment was not conducive to a nanny. We tried a nanny share during covid at someone else's house and it didn't work out (the other mom and the nanny both didn't end up wanting to proceed). You can sometimes end up with gaps in coverage and managing them as an employee can be a lot but the convenience of them coming to your house is great. I, personally, don't feel like daycare is important for socialization until 18 months to 2 years but it's what we did for my girls (although my second only 2.5 months before the shut down). I'm not planning to get a nanny but hoping that my MIL can help watch this baby. But once I go back to work after maternity leave, I'll absolutely be putting my two older kids in daycare (hoping that vaccines are rolled out pretty substantially at that point). All that to say, I have no interest in a nanny b/c my personality is not suited to it. If MIL can't help us enough, we will either do full time or part time daycare for the baby but hopefully at least not until January.

@juliebird6 I didn't realize they had that many workout options on the mirror, either. A mom in my May 19 BMB has it and has loved it so far. It's also super space efficient. I just looked at it and saw boxing but can't tell if it's shadow boxing or real boxing. DH has boxed off and on and we just bought everything to set up a boxing space in the basement. My Peloton arrives on Friday but I just opened the app a week ago and was surprised by all of the options so this does sound similar. They have prenatal yoga but just added some prenatal strength and spin classes.

I'm not trying to stick a garlic clove anywhere like I've seen suggested but I've started taking a probiotic to try to prevent being positive again but would love any thoughts on this from anyone who has been before or anecdotally anyone who has had it and whether you had it in subsequent pregnancies.

Hoping to get into working out (veryyyy gentle workouts like yoga, easy spin, etc.). I fell off the wagon with how horrible I was hit with morning sickness and then was so swamped with packing and moving and unpacking and then the holidays. I'd been on a good clip for quite a while before I hit 5-6 weeks pregnant and would love to get back into what I can. I wasn't allowed to run at all with my last pregnancy (SCH) and I had to stop running at 28-30 weeks b/c braxton hicks contractions made it impossible.
I also want to decrease screen time for the 3yo. Since she's home while we're working, some days she can watch 6 hours but now that we have a playroom and lots of new toys, I feel like we need to wean her off of it and maybe even take some time to do some more structured crafts and a letter to focus on every few weeks. I did the Busy Toddler preschool program at the beginning of covid shut down when we thought it was going to be short I probably did 12 or so weeks of it which was great. I fell of the wagon but then she went back to daycare part time until we moved starting in July so I stopped.

How are you feeling?: just pregnant but good!! Thank God my horrible sciatica has subsided for now.

Rants/Raves: our nightly clean up routine has been going so well... makes our evenings so much more enjoyable! Rant is my almost 3 year old had a diarrhea accident tonight during dinner 😭😭 awful...

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? I made a list of 21 goals for 2021. Some more challenging, some simple, some ongoing. A lot have to do with being more wise with my time. So far its off to a good start at least.

  • @rexnie @kadeephd good luck!!! Potty training is not my favorite at all. Actually it's probably my least favorite parenting task so far. Highly recommend the naked method though!! Hope it goes well for both of you!
  • @kvh22 + anyone else who has a peloton - did you get the bike or the bike+? Looking into ordering for my husband for valentine's day and since we're not an apple watch fam, it seems like the only difference is really the swivel screen. The price difference isn't huge, but the bike+ is going to take like twice as long to arrive, so I was thinking of maybe just ordering the original. Curious which one everyone else has and if the + is worth it!
  • @runsoncoffee hahaha omg I just LOL'd at the diarrhea accident - hope all is fine! sounds like an unfortunate time to have that kind of accident.
  • @riff323 I feel very similar. I keep catching glimpses of my stomach or my arms and am just not happy with what I see. I was in such good shape before this kid so I can’t help but worry I won’t get back to that. Plus a few friends have been like “wow you popped over the holidays” and I know they don’t mean to hurt my feelings, but it still just sucks. And my weight gain seems like a lot right now so I’m struggling. It is so hard because I have a lot of guilt feeling this way. I know I need to be grateful and thankful but I don’t like being big. You aren’t alone!

@rexnie and @kadeephd  I need to get on the potty training bus too but am dreading it. My 2 year old is yelling at us daily about wanting her Minnie Mouse underwear. I may try to do it over spring break.

@theblondebump i need to go through and update all of that. Good for you for getting it done! I haven’t looked at our life insurance beneficiaries in forever and I’m pretty sure no one knows where all of our money is. Not very responsible over here. We struggle with who to name though because four children is so much to take on. I am an only child and my husband’s siblings all have a bunch of kids. It would be so hard on them. However our parents would be too old. I’m terrified the children would be separated.

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? I am trying to spend less money on non-necessities this year. I am horrible about buying a good deal from an influencer or amazon. It’s just too easy! We have a budget every month and I feel like we are almost always over budget and it is mainly due to us both just buying without thinking about things. I would really like to be better about that.

@rexnie My son turned 2 on Dec 4, so I guess it's a little earlier than most people would start nowadays.  I've been reading "Oh Crap" which I've heard good thing about though and she recommends starting between 20 and 30 months.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @theblondebump, I'm leaving everything to my 24yo with directions to create trusts for her younger siblings. This is mainly so my ex can't get his hands on DS1s money.

If something happens to just me, SO gets half by law. He'll use some to pay for my funeral, and the rest will go into trusts for DS2 and DD2. DD1 would get the other half. And set up a trust for DS1.

If somethings happens to BOTH of us, DD1 has the choice of becoming DD2 and DS2's godparents. She does not have to. My BFF is our second choice. We trust these two only to not trample on our parenting wishes. My mother was upset until I said I felt like she and my dad had done their time as parents, and I don't want that burden for them, especially as they enter their 70s. It's too much to take care of two small children. SOs mother hasn't been, and won't be, told.
  • @theblondebump re: bike vs. bike+ - I have the bike (got it before bike + was available) and still think I would have chosen the regular bike given my setup. I have it in my room with a tv, so the swivel screen isn't a necessity for me. I think there's another feature that lets you lock in to the recommended resistance? But I'm not sure, and it's just as easy to turn the knob...Anyways I didn't feel like it was worth the extra money to upgrade, and I use my bike every day!
  • @theblondebump I got my bike in 2017, so it was before the + was available. I think the only major difference is the swivel screen. I do use my bike screen for strength and stretching workouts, and I don't find the screen position to be that big of a deal. If I feel like I need to I just use the ipad or the TV for other classes like yoga, or my phone for meditation classes. If I had to choose now, I would probably still just get the basic bike, because I'm not sure the swivel screen would be worth the wait for the bike IMO. If YH is into bootcamp classes, and wants to be looking at the screen the whole time it might be worth it; but if you would have the bike in a room with a smart TV you could also be streaming the class on I would say that would work even better.  I think the regular bike is AMAZING by itself, and I LOVE my bike.
  • @theblondebump I asked friends who have the bike (although I don't know anyone with the bike+) and no one seemed to think the bike+ was worth the extra time and money. I got the regular bike. Our basement is kind of weird. It's all finished with two big areas to the left and right of the stairs and then two smaller rooms with cutout holes. So the peloton will go in the smaller room and eventually my barre bar. The other room will be more multi-purpose but set up with DH's boxing stuff. So in the bigger room, I want to set up a medium sized TV mounted on the wall that will either be a smart TV or have a fire stick to sync with more than just the peloton app. For now I can do the peloton app on my TV with the fire stick upstairs. I feel like that's a much better bang for my buck.

  • @kvh22 ah I miss doing barre! I was really getting in to it last spring/summer. I stopped when the pregnancy sickness started kicking my butt! I subscribed to a program and I think that subscription runs out in April. Ironic. 😂 I hope to subscribe again maybe next summer or fall, depending on how much sleep I’m getting with this little guy and then school for the girls and all that.

Rants/Raves: Rant: this darn puppy needs to sleep, someone in my house other than me needs to unload the dishwasher, and words cannot express my disdain for the fact that our outgoing president has made the decision to extend his ban on foreign visas through March 31st in one last, jerky move (of many) on the day before it expired, so now I won’t have childcare after January, and my kids’ foreign language progress that we worked so hard to make over the last two years will completely stall.

    Questions: nope

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? I don’t really do New Years resolutions, I think if you have a goal you want to achieve, set your goal and go. You don’t need a new year to make it happen. 🤷‍♀️  That said, in general, I have a goal of being more patient, kind and grateful, and then getting back in shape once the baby is here and I’m able to workout post c-section. It took me about 7 months to make that happen last time, so the patience I want to have will definitely need to be practiced. 😊

Late this week - will come back around with the @‘s!

  • @bblair24 Oo what program? I've loved barre when I get into it. I think I do best cross training so I like lots of different options. DH weighs almost 100lbs more than me so his heavy bag for boxing will be a bit big but I enjoyed boxing with him, too so I'm hoping to mix it up btwn spin, barre, boxing, yoga, and some core work specific to postpartum (a program called restore your core). I did BBG in the past, too, and have the PDFs of that. As you can see, I'm all over the place but I love the variety.

  • @theblondebump I’ve had my bike since 2017 and don’t feel any need to upgrade. I bought a piece that attaches to the screen that allows mine to swivel. And depending on your style of riding, the auto adjust feature may not really be all that important. To me, it isn’t worth the extra money.

Upcoming appointments: 1/25 rhogam shot, 1/27 ob appt (apparently they have to be two different appts.. annoying when it’s an hours drive to their office!)

How are you feeling?: Better (: Totally with you @riff323, so happy the holidays are over! I had all the lights outside taken down on the 2nd and Christmas decor put away the day after! Lol. The holidays burn me out and honestly make me so blue, I’m glad to be feeling motivated and in better spirits with the new year. Besides the blues, not much to complain about other than heartburn sucks!

Rants/Raves: Hubby took me to Ross and Burlington after the appt today and I finally found some maternity leggings and a couple comfy tops. I think part of my mental battle has also been being so out of my skin with feeling down. I’m not uncomfortable with how I look or my body changing, but at the same time I get incredibly irritable as of lately picking out what to wear for the day since everything has become so tight or fits funny!

    Questions:

GTKY: Do you make new years resolutions? If you made one, what is it? If not, do you have any broader goals for 2021 (aside from a healthy baby )? I don’t really do an official resolution but definitely make goals! -birth this baby! -pay off remaining debt -eat healthier -exercise regularly after baby -be more patient and positive -spend more time with people that make the effort as well, cut the losses elsewhere.

  • @kadeephd you never know until you try - there seems to be such a wide range in readiness. :) We follow the same method.

@pelorunningmama asking for undies is a great sign!! My son still begs for a diaper every day. He's at least showing interest in READING his potty book, ha.
  • @kvh22, it's an app called Openfit! I do the Xtend Barre and Pilates programs on it (well, I did before!). There are also cardio, weight training, and HIIT classes on there, but after trying a couple HIIT I decided to stick with barre and pilates  :D
  • @pelorunningmama oo what is the attachment you bought to allow the swivel? Also (and this can be for any pelotoners), which classes are you taking? Have you done any of the prenatal spin ones Robin added? What type of modifications are you doing, if any? Even when I was running the first few weeks I had to slow it down so I know I'll need to adjust from my usual if I do a regular class.

@bluey101321 I did not have a maternity friendly wardrobe AT ALL when I was pregnant with my first. I have a lot of maternity clothes now and feel like mid-second tri is perfect for pulling them out (finally at the point where ruched sides are flattering, yay!). I lost all of the weight btwn babies 1 & 2 and still lived in my underbelly maternity leggings and sweat pants. They're just so comfortable! And I have some shirts now that aren't maternity but fit/look flattering. I bought a bunch of breastfeeding friendly stuff btwn 1& 2 as well and got so sick of it all so now I focus on things that can stay in my wardrobe and I like that aren't BF specific or maternity specific to supplement my wardrobe so I'm not just throwing money on temporary clothes. BUT I feel much better when the clothes fit well so it's worth it to me to invest in some key maternity pieces. Hopefully the new clothes help you feel comfortable!

@kvh22 I recently restarted spinning (I stopped when the heavy duty nausea started around week 9). I haven't done one of the prenatal rides (I think she only posted 2-3), but I've been mainly doing 20 minute rides and modifying as needed--I'm doing a lot of Robin and Cody 20 minute rides and I avoid going fast out of the saddle due to balance concerns.  I get winded SO SOON now, so I am definitely not going anywhere near as hard as pre-pregnancy, but it has felt good to get some good cardio in. I have done the prenatal strength and core classes that Robin has, and I like those and am doing them 3-4 times per week. I'm hoping she will put some more prenatal content up soon.
  • @bbrahmbhatt love it. That's super helpful. Thank you! Can't wait for it to arrive tmrw :)
