Thank you for sharing your experience, and I really hope things start getting better quickly for you. Eating without tasting does sound strange! I was very curious on what medications are ok while pregnant. Hopefully I can continue to avoid it, but the numbers are going up where I'm at and I work with a lot of people. There's really only so much we can control.
@treebagel So sorry to hear your going through this! I just can't imagine.... Glad to hear your getting an opportunity to rest. Sending positive thoughts for a speedy recovery. Also- if you want to quit, do it! I had a hugely stressful job (social worker in child welfare) and finally made the decision to quit once I was on an extended maternity leave....I literally had a breakdown thinking about returning to that work environment. It was so hard because I had worked for that County for almost 10 yrs, had great benefits, a retirement plan, etc. etc. But it was literally the best decision I ever made. You do you, boo. ❤️
Just thinking about how you ladies have to make the decision between being employed in a high risk job vs. prioritizing the health and safety of you and your baby kinda breaks my heart. I’ve recently been exempt from work because my work environment was deemed hazardous for pregnant women and they couldn’t give me a teleworking or minimal contact option. I get paid my full salary and can still have a job upon my return. This is a also a government initiative classifying all pregnant women as vulnerable. It just seems like the most sensible thing to do.
