I just saw an article this morning that said Nabisco is coming out with a gluten free Oreo to be released in January 2021 and it's a permanent offering! This makes me so happy 😭

@kiki047 I have had a few GF brand's "Oreo" cookies but they're not really the same. They seem more like they are trying to be the vanilla creme cookies that look like this with the wholes in the cookie part:

Grandmas Sandwich Cookies Vanilla Creme Minis 212 Ounce Pack of 60 Amazoncom Grocery Gourmet Food

They tend to have a thicker cookie and that's just not at all like an Oreo. Plus vanilla creme cookies tend to have a much sweeter cream compared to what Oreos have.

Completely unrelated, my cat is snoring like an old man across the room from me and I can hear her loud and clear haha.

@krash_ with the limited lurking I've been doing I also noticed it's been really slow. I think for me, like @keikilove, I've also just been really consumed with personal stuff and work, trying to keep my head above water and not think about how bad things are "out there" with lots of areas returning to complete lockdowns.

@krash_ I think part is also the weather. It's back to being cold and now we're all bleh about it lol. We had super light flurries here the other day that didn't go very long but I was like oh no! Not this!

My work is in a virtual tradeshow this entire week and my coworker and I are basically alternating every other hour attending to the virtual booth with the other departments. It's hard to feel motivated and really get stuff done. And like everyone else.... there's the personal stuff.

@inthewoods23 yeah, we had our first below-freezing day here yesterday. I like sweaters and blankets, but I like them because I hate being cold so this weather blows for me lol.

Personally, I'm heading into probably my busiest month of the year IRL between finals coming up and Christmas (I work in retail). Which can be good because it keeps me out of my own head somewhat.

+1 for being busy with life and just generally spending my mind space analyzing what to do about seeing family, going to clients, etc. I kind of feel like posting my stress about all of this would be like I’m trying to revive last weeks UO thread/start a disagreement so I’ve just been keeping to the dailies.

@bows22 I respect everyone’s position on the precautions they are taking with the virus. My UO was just that, a UO and it was appropriate for me to post my opinions there. I certainly don’t push my opinions about it on anyone. So don’t feel like you can’t post what’s on your mind.

Waaaaaaa... we cancelled our Christmas trip to @keikilove's beautiful island because Alaska Airlines changed our direct flight to have a stop-over each way, and we're just not comfortable hanging out in airports in present situation. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I'm feeling very pouty right now because I realized this evening that, assuming AF does come, she'll arrive just in time for me to be smack in the middle of it on Black Friday weekend. I work in retail. That would suck so hard.

@acleverusername Nooooooo!! I’m sorry, that’s terrible that the airline did that. Southwest just started flying here direct out of Oakland—maybe that could work for you?

FWIW: Two months ago I booked a family member’s travel from NYC directly home for Xmas on Dec. 9th, we got an excellent fare for booking so early. Well, Hawaiian Airlines recently cancelled the flight and that daily direct route, not starting it again until Dec. 17 and flying it only once a week. They tried to tell us that we have no change fee but have to pay the new $2000!!! fare to travel on the 17th. I put up a fight & got my family member rebooked on that direct flight on the 17th for free. These airlines be trippin.🙄

@acleverusername ohhh nooo I'm so sorry to hear about your trip. We've been talking about how much we just wish we were back in the islands. So disappointing.
@keikilove whoa, you go girl, good for you for getting that flight rebooked. I can't believe they were trying to upcharge you the new price, WTF?! No way. I get that they're probably hemorrhaging money but that's not the way to recoup costs.

I have a stupid question... I need to make a popcorn string to use as a prop for a Christmas thing I'm doing and I've legit never made one before lol. Anyone have any tips? Is it easier if it's several shorter strings or does it matter?

If you also string fresh cranberries on there, do they make a mess? Do they dry nicely or do they go moldy?

@kiki047 Ooooooh, the nostalgia your post just brought back!🎄 I haven’t done either of those holiday crafts since I was a kid. From what I remember, the cranberries stay red as they dry, no mess. The popcorn stays fresh-looking as it goes stale. One long chain is all we ever did, just like making a long lei. Easy. Maybe all the crafters can help as well.

I just drove through McDonald’s for lunch (my AF arrival treat) and I pulled into the drive through and started looking at my phone (doesn’t everyone do that? Honest question).

Apparently someone was trying to back out (the line was long and into the parking lot) and I didn’t notice. He backed out once I moved past, then drove up to my window and yelled “pay attention, you asshole” all I got out was “why wouldn’t you just beep your horn?” As he was driving away. I really want to find the guy and have words now 😂. Seriously though, a simple beep would have gotten my attention and I would have moved out of his way. Sorry not sorry that I was too engrossed in TB to notice him 💁🏼‍♀️

@bows22 no one, under any circumstances, should be expected to pay attention to anything other than the car in front of them moving forward in a long drive through line. I'm sorry that is my time. If you made the mistake of entering a long line when you don't have the time then it is your problem to find a way out. A polite honk is fine but anything more than that is out of line, especially going up to your window to scold you. I would have flipped him off.

@chindimples04 I was trying to find an appropriate gif on my last post in IF thread for "Surprise! Mate with us!" I wasn't really liking any of the gifs I was getting when using "surprise gif" keyword. So, I tried "sperm surprise gif" hoping to get some sort of fun animated sperms swimming. Alas... not what I got. 😳

@bows22 I only start looking at my phone in drive through if MH isn't with me! He hates when I touch my phone at all when at the wheel. But yeah, sounds like that was a total dick move and even though it'll make you feel better, that a**hole cannot be reformed.

Do any of you avoid HIO during the TWW? Why? I have been avoiding it while TTC because I was afraid it was going to cause disruptions. I know there is no logic behind this, but I’m just curious.
