Re: All Due Date Checkin w/o 11/16

  • I had the same fears when I was pregnant with my second. Everything is changing and it kind of feels like chaos for a while after baby comes. I distinctly remember wondering why we had another when things had just gotten easier with my oldest. But then my second was the funniest little thing in the world and was a great sleeper. He was always happy and he loved his big sister something fierce. Watching the bond grow between two little humans is one of the greatest blessings I’ve experienced. They learn so much from each other. It makes you love your oldest in a totally different way. Just know those feelings are all normal but it gets better once baby arrives.

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: green

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: tomato?

Upcoming appointments: 20 week check Dec 2

How are you feeling?: Good! Maybe a little less tired?

Rants/Raves: I finally told my sister (who has severe mental illness) and it was only a little uncomfortable. Glad I got it over with.

Questions: So I just read that I am 5 months pregnant but thought this point was still 4? Confusing. I can see why we go by weeks.

GTKY: Favorite food to eat at Thanksgiving? I'm with @eahayes not a huge fan. I end up making roasted asparagus or brussels, stuffed squash, and eating that with rolls and pumpkin pie.

  • @eahayes I agree that the turkey is blah. It’s always so dry! DH is like well that’s why you load it up with gravy! But I don’t love gravy soooo 😂 I don’t dislike the turkey, it’s just not my favorite holiday main course dish. I loooove the Christmas ham we always have. This year my mom is actually fixing ham because we’re doing thanksgiving differently, so I’m excited about that!
  • @bblair24 yes, turkey is just bleh! I'm a sides person.
  • @Lexibizzel weeks are easier than months because a lot of the online counters only count 4 weeks per month instead of 4 and a little bit. 19 weeks would technically be about 4.5 months or so.

  • @eahayes 4th of July food is pretty good, in your defense...and the weather is, too.

@bblair24 We (and by we I mean me) are trying to cook our turkey in the sous vide this year to hopefully avoid the dry - I’ll let you know if it turns out. I am hopeful but I suckkk in the kitchen. 🤷‍♀️ Also I hate gravy. 🤭
  • @BuckeyeNut05 ooh good luck, I’ve heard promising things about sous vide! From my BFFs on the Food Network, that is. 😂 Good luck, I bet it’ll be great!
