Weekly Symptoms week of 11/8

Re: Weekly Symptoms week of 11/8

  • @ruemcclanahan I have painful gas too. And sometimes when I have it I think, “yay, I need to poop!” Nope, just gas! It’s awful on top of the terrible constipation,

my constipation is already bad. I think partially because zofran causes constipation plus the hormones.

Apparently I found the secret to a good nights sleep too. Insomnia had me up at 2:30 yesterday morning and I never went back to sleep and then I worked until 10 last night, slept through the night, until 5:30, and feel much more rested.

  • Jealous of your good night sleep! I’m up twice a night to pee.
  • I feel like garbage that then got run over by a garbage truck. 😩😩

  • @ruemcclanahan yupppp!!! Such painful gas pains and cramps. It’s awful and painful and scary 😔
  • @ruemcclanahan I've had that only a few times now here and there. Its like this painful trapped gas and it makes my whole stomache bloated and hurt bad. Super uncomfortable.
  • I am somewhere in week 8.

Like most of you, I’m exhausted and sick. I did actually throw up a bunch this week. I’ve never thrown up with my previous pregnancies. I am completely desperate to start feeling better. I want to clean my house and do things with the kids.

    anyone else hyper salivating?

saliva makes me more nauseated but I can’t spit all the time. It’s so gross.

I’m still nauseated like 90% of the time ☹️
  • Anyone else breaking out in pimples/acne everywhere? My skin has never been this bad before. I feel like im 13 lol

  • @mindyb2019 Yes! It just started happening this week. With DD I ended up breaking out all over my upper back too. I hope that doesn't happen this time too!
  • @mindyb2019 yes! And keep getting like the really bad “undergrounders” as I call them. That are super big and deep and can’t be popped. And I usually never get those.
  • @Omie_Wise all I want to do is clean my house but I feel too sick and tired. I get pregnancy rage at the dirt in my house 😂 like why does everything get dusty so damn fast? Nesting set in super early with ds2 so I'm hoping this isn't it- by 5 months with him I was even dusting the top of my fridge 2x/week. I think I've done that like 2x in the ~4 years since I've had him

@mindyb2019 yes!! I'm breaking out horribly, and my face is way more oily than normal.  I don't recall being this bad when I was pregnant with DS.

Anyone's symptoms kind of leveling off? They are definitely still there and constant,  but don't seem to be quite as debilitating as they were.  Trying not to worry,  I know the placenta can start taking over at this point,  so I'm trying not to jinx it 😅. I'm eager for my ultrasound next Tuesday though.

Edit: I jinxed it lol. I just threw up, and had been doing really well with not actually throwing up.  Maybe I'm just getting used to feeling like crap 😆
  • I had enough energy to fold laundry when I came upstairs at 8:30! This is the second night in a row where I haven't been so tried I just want to drop. Hoping this is a good sign that the placenta is taking over and the initial flood of hormones is winding down. 🤞

Glad we get to check in on little bean at my appointment Monday morning!

  • @artsiefartsie I’m leveling off mostly I think.

The acne has been a real struggle though. I ordered some norwex body cloths. They’re supposed to clear up acne with just water so super safe for pregnancy. Here’s hoping they arrive soon and work well.
  • Is anyone else really really bloated and constipated? 😟
  • @mindyb2019 yes! I am taking one colace a day plus started drinking Metamucil. The other day I lost almost two pounds after going to the bathroom. Sometimes I’ll look at my belly and think wow, so big overnight, and then realize I just haven’t gone to the bathroom in days.
  • @mindyb2019 when i was pregnant with DS I had terrible constipation (it’s been more manageable this time around). I allowed myself 1 cup of black tea or coffee each morning and took Metamucil every day. That seemed to help. Colace did nothing for me.

My hormonal headaches are becoming totally unmanageable. I’m 8+1 so I think the hormone levels are peaking. I’m taking Tylenol and drinking hot lemon water (recommendation from my acupuncturist) but I’ll take any advice. Ouchie.

  • @laurad75 I feel you. My headaches have been horrible. I find Tylenol and a little coffee when I wake has been helping a bit. When they get bad I use a cold eye mask and lay down for an hour.  Wish I had more advice, just solidarity.
I’m also prone to Migraines and usually take a preventative medication nightly to stop them since I have headaches about 20 days a month usually and a debilitating migraine 1-2 but not being able to take anything except Tylenol is torture right now.
  • @mindyb2019 I'm super bloated and gassy. Thankfully, the magnesium citrate my dr recommended for my headaches has the added bonus of keeping me very regular.
  • @klj0228 @laurad75 I was thinking about taking Metamucil too. Do you really find it helps alot?? I heard you have to drink alot of water along with taking Metamucil otherwise it can make things worse? I've never taken colace. Is it just a daily pill you take or?
  • My hips have already started to ache at night.

  • @mindyb2019 yes, I think Metamucil helps. I don’t drink a particularly large amount of water with it. Colace is just a pill you take once a day to soften stool. It didn’t do much for me.

  • @laurad75 ask your acupuncturist if she can give you some acupressure points to help with the headache.  my acupuncturist also told me about a tack (not sure how else to describe it and can't remember exactly what it was called) that you leave in your ear all week that is supposed to help that she could give me, maybe yours offers that?  I'm guessing it goes into a similar spot as the ear piercings you see people with chronic migraines get.
  • @mindyb2019 I think Metamucil helps and I don’t think I’ve increased my fluid intake with it. I’m likely going to stop the colace in the next week or so because I don’t see that it’s really helping.
  • Thanks @ellieemc26.  I know the ear tacks and I bet that would help.  I think I see her on Wednesday and hoping she has ideas.

  • @mindyb2019 add me to the bloated and constipated group. This is going to be tmi but I looked at my schedule and realized it’s been 4 days since I’ve last gone.
  • Guys, I'm absolutely F*#cking miserable over here!!! 😥 Im soooo damn constipated. I need this to end or somehow clear up. TMI but I haven't gone in many days and when I do get to go its the tiniest amount that I have to push and push for and nothing comes out. I feel like im birthing a whale and I think I pushed so hard the other day that I pulled my groin/vagina lol It hurt. I've taking everything you can think of and nothing is helping. Ive tried drinking tons of water, drinking warm liquids. I could chug a jug of prune juice and it does jack shit!!! I started taking metamucil yesterday so not sure how long that takes to work?? If at all. Last night I was sobbing/crying on the toilet because I wanted to poop so badly and couldn't and I feel so frustrated and desperate 😭😭 My stomache is sooo bloated and huge and tight and full feeling and its making me uncomfortable. I feel nauseous alot and all night like I want to vomit cause nothing is coming out the other end. At this rate I dont even want to eat for 2-3 days cause i don't want to keep packing it in if nothing is coming out. I have anxiety now every time I eat or feel like I have to use the bathroom. Im going to start eating laxatives like candy at this rate!!
  • @mindyb2019 I'm so sorry, being that constipated is miserable! Ask your Dr about magnesium citrate. I take about 250 mg at night and by morning things are moving.  It is what they give before a colonoscopy to clear you out (mind you for that it is a much higher dose 250 mg is a tiny fraction of that dose). For me it doesn't have a big huge laxative effect,  just makes everything move so much smoother. And you can just take it as needed.  I hope you get relief soon! ❤❤
  • @artsiefartsie thanks. Ok ill ask my Dr today at our appt about that stuff and see what he says.. this is horrible 😥
  • @mindyb2019 fx you get some relief!! That's such a terrible feeling. No advice about taking anything but I hope your Dr can help!
  • Oh gosh @mindyb2019 that sounds awful. I hope your Dr has some remedies for you.
  • Oh @mindyb2019 you poor thing!!! That was me last week! It's horrible horrible 😭 the other day I literally had to use my finger to get it out and I was traumatized

  • @mindyb2019 I'm really sorry.  I have been there and it's awful.

Maybe ask your doctor if they would approve smooth move tea.  Senna (a natural laxative) is the main ingredient which can cause diarrhea but it will solve your problem...that being said, it is safe in small doses while pregnant but shouldn't be used regularly so it says its unsafe for pregnancy.  If you specifically ask your doctor about using the tea or something similar they can let you know for sure if using it once is okay.

  • @mindyb2019 glad to hear you’re finally getting relief! Sometimes we just need that extra boost to get things going haha
  • Yay @mindyb2019!! Glad to hear you are having relief.
  • The constipation is awful. The other night I drank so much prune juice and ate buttery popcorn. It did get things moving but I still feel constipated.

  • Yes to the constipation! I am so over it. I did wake up at 1:30 the other morning and felt like I had to go. I got up and went! It was glorious, aside from the fact that it took me 20 minutes and using my toddlers potty to get my knees higher.
  • @klj0228 😆 I know the effort all too well of trying to get my knees higher LOL
  • @klj0228 Squatty Potty 😆 I have one in every bathroom and a travel one for trips. It’s the besttttt!
