@Omie_Wise I’m looking for a new car too. I liked the Subaru 😂 Now I feel attacked. I’m looking at the Volvo suvs too. I used to have an Escalade and LOVED everything about it. Wish it weren’t so pricey though. I’m also looking at the Tahoe, Expedition, and Navigator. I’m looking for something big cause I’m hoping for a #3 down the road and I can barely get my 1 babe in and out of my current car.
@ramzlau Just got taxi (DH requested a yellow), already had lagoon (which I love!) Hoping we like the yellow and the colors together. If not, I guess I'll be doing a preorder for a new cover color or trying to find a trade...
I really want a nugget and now seeing a few of you talk about them I want to get one for Christmas this year. I think between our current toddler and then this baby we would get tons of use out of one.
@mc0303 I would be ecstatic with a Subaru! My husband is just an overly opinionated grump sometimes, pay no mind to him.
We have two nuggets (lagoon and it’s red, I don’t remember the name). I’ve been thinking about a 3rd but I’ve ordered some furniture for the playroom that I need to get in to see how the space works.
I had never heard of the nugget until I read about it here and now I'm ready to get on the list for 2021. So fun!

@kristah2 Oh definitely. I was active there all of 2016/2017. It's so great to see so many familiar names.

@JournoGrl23 I'm so sorry you're dealing with HG too. I had it with both of my previous pregnancies and it's set in already this time around as well. Hang in there!! I hope you find a med combo that works for you! @AKuzReve So happy to see you here! Happy anniversary!! How did telling YH go?! @kristah2 Unless you lurked other popular baby sites as well you probably don't know me lol. I just joined TB with this username in November of last year when I joined TTGP this time around. Yay for a long weekend!! I hope you enjoy it! @mrsrundmc Hopefully you find a new job soon! How did your ultrasound go?
My mom told me I was showing. I told her it was just fat and wanted to bop her. She responded even worse and said “well you used to be so flat”. Thanks mom.
@kristah2 sorry! Did you reply, you were flat before you had kids too? One of my good friends told me the other day I was showing...no I just haven’t peed in 5 hours and need to poop.
Please don’t tell a woman she is showing - no matter how well you know her - until she says she feels like she is showing. Even then it is a dangerous game to play. Even when I start to show I would rather you say that I look great and no mention of the bump.
@kristah2 *boo* *hiss*! I’m sorry she said that to you. I totally agree @klj0228 just stick with you look great or you’re glowing! I personally find commenting on bump size is just a minefield that should be avoided at all costs. Because comments like “wow, you’re so tiny!” can be incredibly hurtful or anxiety inducing. And comments like “are you sure there aren’t twins in there?” are just obnoxious. I have a whole rant about this, but I’ll leave it at that. 😂
Rants/Raves: I have a terrible cough right now and it would be great if it would stop.
Questions: None at the moment!
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We actually met online, but as soon as we “met” we realized we had a good mutual friend. A few weeks later we went to dinner and the rest is history!

Rants/Raves: DD really needs to fall asleep, she is so cranky. I think that her teeth are bothering her, it looks like her molars and canines are coming in.

GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We went to high school together but didn’t start dating until we were 23/24
@mc0303 I’m sorry your MIL had a bad reaction to the news
@legallykate I feel like DD can sense something is up. She gives me very concerned looks in the morning when I’m dry heaving
@pickle-chips I get really bad migraines too. The last one I had was during my last period and I ended up throwing up in the trash at work but I was wearing a mask so a bunch of puke got down my shirt and had to go home (so embarrassing)
@notawhoops I keep eating ice cream too and blaming it on pregnancy 😆 I’m going to have some after I finish my mashed potatoes. Super healthy dinner over here 🤦♀️
@halfanewt I spent so so many hours today registering for the nugget lotto. I don’t have one yet, I couldn’t get one on the last drop.
@JournoGrl23 oh no, I’m sorry that you had to go to the ER, hopefully the meds will work. So cute about engraving that on YH’s wedding band
Any other mommas plan on keeping their due date close to their chest? With my 1st, she came 5 days "early" and I was like, "Alright! This is how we do this!" and then #2 came 8 days "late" and #3 came 10 days "late". I am a former certified doula (out of practice due to life and work schedules) and after my 2nd birth and with professional experience I don't trust/believe in due dates. With my 3rd I told everyone "mid-February" and with this one I think I will say "late June". Of course, some people don't take the hint and want AN EXACT DATE, so with my 3rd I gave a date and said "I expect she'll be late, though". It is so annoying to be under the microscope and have a ton of texts asking if the baby came yet. After my MIL texted me for the 3rd or 4th time in a day I once said "If I birth a human, I promise I will tell you". LOL sorry for the little rant, didn't mean for it to be so long!

@disgruntled_pelican Yeah, I really like the idea of a "general due date period" DS came on his due date but by the time I was 37+ weeks I was miserable and wished people would stop asking me anything.
I also don't tell people much anyway. We didn't tell anyone our name options and didn't even tell anyone when we were in labor. The last part wasn't necessarily on purpose, but we had a lot of people mad that they didn't get to come to the hospital and wait 🙄 "Sorry, guys, I was a little preoccupied"
@artsiefartsie same with us. We didn't tell names, mainly because we didn't have a girl name chosen (team Green last time) and my family would have just accused me of not letting them know it was a boy. 🙄 Also, I was in labor for 29 hours and not one person knew, except one friend that took our dog. Then we waited hours after the birth to tell people but that was because he decided to arrive at 2:45 am and I was not calling anyone in the middle of the night.
@disgruntled_pelican totally agree with the general time period. Or, it will arrive when the baby chooses. I'll call you when that happens.
@disgruntled_pelican I think due dates tend to be pretty fluid anyway. My babies seem to start off small and even though I’m 100% sure on conception date my DD tends to get pushes back an extra week or so. This time will be a repeat section so I’m telling people end of May since my due date is June 2 but I’ll likely have baby a week early but I don’t know my exact date yet.
Both previous sections the only people that knew we were going in to have a baby were grandparents. I didn’t want 100 people there after I came around after surgery. This time will be the same. We will have the birth date, my mom will likely take my 2 the night before and switch off with my dad and step mom at some point and they are the only ones who will know until we come home basically.
How all you STM keep up with this thread is beyond me! I'm not able to go back and tag everyone that metioned my COVID "vacation" but I'm back at work, none of us are sick, and I'm planning my Target shopping trip to celebrate!
@disgruntled_pelican I plan on saying "late June" as well, but if all goes like the last two times, I'll probably be induced 5 days before my brother's wedding that I'm a bridesmaid in. So the exact due date is slightly important 😬
@disgruntled_pelican We will likely say late June too but I assume this will be a RCS so we will know the exact date. That being said I don't want to hear any opinions on if we have a CS so I may not share that either.
We definitely won't share any name decisions - at least not with anyone I know IRL. I told one person last time and she made a weird face. I was so annoyed and then I told H and he got annoyed with me for sharing.

@disgruntled_pelican We will definitely be saying, “late June”, the people who push for a date are obnoxious. Last time I just repeated myself.
@artsiefartsie Honestly the second best part about being team green is there’s almost no pressure to disclose names. We never ever ever share names ahead of time. DH’s cousin disclosed her first’s name and her grandmother wrote her a letter telling her how horrible a name it was
@disgruntled_pelican I plan on saying early June even though I’ll have a repeat csection before that lol so I’ll know the exact date well before then. I still won’t tell people the exact date even of the csection.
I have a lot of family drama on my side of the family that I won’t allow even after the birth. My DS I didn’t tell people he was born until probably 12 hours later. This time may be a bit different since my in laws will likely be watching DS. With current restrictions the only people allowed in will be spouses and siblings (the siblings is newly allowed again).
@artsiefartsie same about names! I didn’t want to hear any crap about my name choice at all. My grandpa loved a name that is associated with someone I’m not quite a fan of. People kept trying to “help” me come up with names. My mother caught on that I may have already had a name and said she (big eye roll here) deserved to know.
I am due 6/25 but will probably tell work "mid June" to avoid what happened with my last pregnancy when I was induced at 37+1 on the day I had two major filings and had to just tell the partners I was working for to finish them up themselves (not ideal!)
I am also still traumatized by how poorly my MIL reacted to us telling her DD's name when I was 7 mos pregnant - we named DD after my FIL's mother, and apparently unbeknownst to me MIL HATED HER So we will either not share this time or share super early before we are attached to a name, lol.
*TTC History*

TTC #2 January 2020: AMA, dx with DOR in May 2020
IVF July 2020: 16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 12 fertilized, 3 blasts, 2 PGT-A normal
FET 10/7/20: BFP on 10/12/20!!! (EDD 6/25/21); First beta 10/16/20 (9dpt): 148; Second beta 10/19/20 (12dpt): 621; Third beta 10/26/20 (19dpt): 4732; Fourth (and final!) beta 11/2/20 (26 dpt): 22,000+
+1 for a RCS here! For DS2 we only settled on the RCS date two weeks prior, so I just said early January. This time I'll just say late June. I'm hoping for 6/25 bc I have a weird thing with numbers and that date fits well with the rest of our family's birth dates.
We don't share names either until birth. We thought we had a name picked out for DS1 - and then he was born and we saw him and I couldn't give him the name we picked out. We had a list for both sexes that we went in with and then picked names from those once we see baby.
@Omie_Wise holy sh!t at DH's cousins gma!! That's terrible!!
@marebear15 wow that is close! Did you tell your brother and his FI yet?
@marebear15 I have childcare on Thursdays. I'm supposed to be working on my book and jobhunting but I'm on the bump instead.
@Omie_Wise I'm sure it's not funny but I laughed out loud thinking about that letter. That's really awful.
@legallykate That sounds traumatizing. I'm sorry that happened. That being said if in 30 years DS names his first born after my MIL I'll die. I'll try not to say anything but my heart will die.

I feel you all on the names!! We kept ours super secret but it didn’t stop everyone from trying to guess...which was awful bc ppl don’t hold back their opinions 😟 We wanted to name our first baby Jacob and my mom totally shit on the name...so much that it ruined it for us. We’re thinking of giving a decoy name just so they can leave us alone.
I’m also saying ‘mid June’ when I’m actually late June/ maybe even July 1st. I was almost 36 weeks when I gave birth last time and it was so traumatizing with ppl up in my business.
I’ll also say late June. I’ll have a RCS as well but I think I won’t find out the date until May/early June in reality.
Ugh names. Names are so hard. I’m gonna start the name thread tomorrow if no one else does. We shared DS’ name and everyone loved it (because it’s an awesome name!) but we won’t this time as we are struggling with finding another boy name we like at all. We said can we do [DS’ name] 2?! 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
We just tell everyone that we aren't deciding on a name until they are earthside. Which technically is the truth but we always have it narrowed down to a few options. Doesn't stop people from giving me suggestions but then I just smile and nod.
@AKuzReve We are in the same boat for boy names. It took us forever to think of two options we liked for DS and then decided to do first and middle with both names once he was born, so now we are screwed if this one is a boy too 😄
@legallykate I had the hardest time naming my DD. I asked my BFF (who wasn’t married or pregnant at the time) what her list of girls names were just so I could hear someone else’s ideas. But she wouldn’t tell me because they wanted to keep names a secret until they’re born. So out of spite I decided not to tell anyone and I ended up picking her very favorite girl name. We ended up not telling people our 3rd’s name as well. Too stressful.
Funny anecdote. I ended up guessing BOTH of said bff’s baby names even though she kept them secret. I’m a wizard 😂😂
