If you are a contributing member who has been active here for a full 3 months with a BFP this week, CONGRATULATIONS! Please share your success with us here.
How do you know if you're a contributing member?
1. Ask your heart if you have contributed positively here. 2. Do these people know you? Will they be happy about your pregnancy? 3. Have you offered support to others or have you just blasted your own info out there? 4. We ask that you only post here if you have been participating meaningfully here for at least three months.Sometimes the silence is kindest. Those of us who lurk BMBs will see your intro and PM/comment/love tit. 5. Again, take a moment and step away from your excitement and ask your heart if posting would be potentially hurtful. ----------------------------------------------------------- This thread has mild restrictions - thread is primarily BFP announcements but doesn't allow for direct questions or lengthy/personalized congrats in the comments. Use the "Love It" button or "congrats!", "H&H 9 months!", "I was hoping this was your month!" and other short & sweet notes.
Regular board rules apply-- this is not the place to ask if you are pregnant based off your symptoms or for second opinions on your tests. We do invite you to contribute in the daily TWW and WTO threads and discussions. This community gives back tenfold what you put into it! When you see somebody who has possibly violated a guideline of this thread, please quote the section of these guidelines and include a callout to the poster, but keep snark to a minimum. CD/DPO of first BFP?
How many months/cycles had you been TTC?
How long have you been an active participant on the TTGP board? (minimum: 3 full months)
What did your chart look like?
What were you doing TGKU?
How was your timing? What symptoms did you have, if any? (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)
How long have you been an active participant on the TTGP board? (minimum: 3 full months) 9 months
What did your chart look like? No chart
What were you doing TGKU? frozen embryo transfer after egg retrieval in July
How was your timing? What symptoms did you have, if any? (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)
Timing was good I guess (in terms of progesterone)! On 1-3 dpt I had prickly sensations on the left side of my lower abdomen, and the night of 3 dpt I felt a sharp pain really low on both sides when I sneezed (round ligament pain?) Then 4dpt I had what felt like regular period cramps and I was convinced I was out and was going to be the oddball who bleeds through estrogen and progesterone. Then yesterday (5dpt) I woke up early with this really weird energy and had no cramps at all and was really put off by my mom's pastrami sandwich and just had a strong sense I was pregnant. So I decided to test earlier than I had planned to and got a light but clearly visible positive on a Wondfo so I tried a digital just to see and it said positive too.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? I was in the bathroom and called out "hey I think I am going to take a test" (even though I had previously told him I would wait until today) and I thought he heard me so then I came out all emotional and gave him a thumbs up but he had NOT heard me so he had no idea what I was doing and I had to be like "hey, hug me, I am pregnant." He refuses to be at all excited until my beta on Friday though, and probably really won't be until we get to viability.
Anything else to add? I have been dreaming of posting here for so long and now have no idea what to say! This year has been the hardest year of my life struggling with secondary infertility on top of everything else horrible going on in the world, and you ladies have been one of the few beacons of light during an incredibly dark time so I just really want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. And especially to the IF ladies, I have been so humbled by all of your strength and perseverance and am a better person having known you and having heard your stories. My one piece of advice for those of you just starting treatments or debating whether to is just to always listen to your gut, my RE gave me the option of canceling my stims cycle due to poor initial response and then gave me the option of canceling my transfer due to thin lining, and both times I just really felt like I was supposed to move forward, and I am so grateful I trusted my body and hoped for the best in those moments of uncertainty. I hope ALL of you continue the recent mass exodus and make your way to BMBs soon, I will be stalking all of you from June.

How many months/cycles had you been TTC? 18 months
How long have you been an active participant on the TTGP board? (minimum: 3 full months) March 2020 - now, although I was much less active in August and September as we waited for IF test results to come back.
What did your chart look like?
What were you doing TGKU? We just finished testing for RPL and were planning an IUI cycle next month. My Dr suggested taking baby aspirin as my cardiolipins came back high, signifying a blood clotting disorder (apparently very common with RPL, and can cause implantation difficulties). Literally started taking baby aspirin the day she told me to, which happened to be O-1. 8 days later BFP.
How was your timing? What symptoms did you have, if any? (CS & CD breakdowns welcome) Timing was -2, -1. I really think the baby aspirin made the difference, and I am all over the place with my feelings about that. I was SS this week and mentioned it in the TWW thread- mostly cramping that felt like gas pain instead of period cramps. I was very thirsty Wednesday/Thursday, but had two super crappy runs (my pace was way off) on Tuesday/Wednesday and figured I was dehydrated. I was tempted to test yesterday morning just to get the urge out of my system, but figured it was way too early. Yesterday during the day I felt like garbage and then cried over a commercial at dinner last night so I tested, figuring if it was positive I could call and cancel the Follistim and ovidral that were supposed to be delivered today. Used a wondfo first and got a super squinter but thought I might just have line eyes so dipped a digital which was positive as well.
How are you going to/did you tell your partner? I just came out of the bathroom and showed him the tests. Honestly I was so shocked and had such mixed emotions. I was happy and also a mix of frustrated/angry that I wasn't tested for the blood clotting earlier. Taking baby aspirin is so easy, and if that's what made the difference it could've saved me months of heartbreak, plus two losses. MH keeps reminding me that we don't know if that's what did it or the reasons for the losses but it's such a big coincidence.
Anything else to add? I'm very nervous to post this because it makes it "real". I was ok last night but PGAL brain set in pretty early and woke me up at 3 am to the point I couldn't go back to sleep. I went to my RE's office for a beta blood draw this morning- they'll monitor me due to my RPL history even though this is a "natural" pregnancy. Haven't heard back yet from my nurse but am anticipating a low number since it's so early.
I'm so grateful for this space. I've learned so much from you all over the past 7 months and words can't express how much I appreciate each of you sharing your story. Without this space I don't know if I would've been brave enough to start talking to my Dr about an IF workup, which I think made all the difference. Thank you ♥️
I will keep checking in here and am crossing everything that this wave of graduates continues. Time to start the July hype!!!
@_orchid_ OMGGGG!!! congrats and i am so happy that this was your cycle. hard not to be frustrated by something that seems like such a simple fix, but for now just enjoy that it happened! wishing you the best and healthiest 9mos!
@_orchid_ 🎊CONGRATULATIONS!🎊 I hope this is your sticky happy 🌈 rainbow🌈 babe! Your mixed emotions make sense 100%. Still, I’m so glad you found a reason & a treatment. Today you are pregnant, and that deserves to be celebrated. Wishing you a happy & very smooth 9 months!

How many months/cycles had you been TTC? 18 months
How long have you been an active participant on the TTGP board? (minimum: 3 full months)
March 2020 - now, although I was much less active in August and September as we waited for IF test results to come back.
(CS & CD breakdowns welcome)
Timing was -2, -1.
I know it's hard to celebrate with PGAL brain but today you are pregnant
