Holy fuck y'all. I had a little toothache yesterday and its turned into full on cellulitis. My cheeks are over my teeth and the outside is rock solid. It hurts so bad I can't even describe the pain. Went to urgent care last night they gave me antibiotics but it's grown about 4x since then so I'm headed to the emergency dentist and then if they can't figure it out heading to the emergency department for some IV antibiotics. Please keep me and my little bean in your thoughts tlday
@ruemcclanahan omg you poor thing. I've had cellulitis twice and it is no laughing matter. It horrible and the pain is not fun. I've had it once in my leg which was soo bad I had to go to the ER to get a needle to release the swelling and pressure and pain. They said if I had left it I would have lost my leg. I also had it another time in my ear somehow and my ears hurt really bad. I had to take antibiotics too. Did they give you Cephalexin? I Know its safe in pregnancy to use. I hope you feel better soon girl. I will be thinking about you and your little bean today 💕
Sorry I have vanished this week. Work is getting to the busy time, culminating the week of Halloween, and I am barely powering through with the nausea and exhaustion. I am lurking and I will be back on as things calm down at work!

Well, I had my Appt today with my OB to check my cervix to see how I’m healing after the LEEP surgery. So some good news and bad news that I’m kinda worried about. So good news first, she checked my cervix and she said it looks gorgeous and beautiful and it’s healed nicely and filled in and is a beautiful pink colour that it should be 😁 Yay so that’s good. She said my hcg numbers look fantastic and she's really pleased with that and it means the pregnancy is progressing as normal.
Now for the worrisome news. She said that there is some residual abnormal cells left in my cervical Canal so she will have to monitor those in case those now will turn into cervix cancer. Shes said its prob the same as the other ones she took out which was CIN 3 cervical dysplasia. If it gets worse or doesn't go away then I'll more then likely have to have a 2nd Leep surgery after the baby is born 😢 I really dont want to have 2 leeps done. Ill probably never have babies after this if this baby doesn't make it. She also said I have a cyst on my cervix too thats about 8mm. She said she will monitor it as well. It could pop and go away on its own or grow bigger and bigger and cause problems or make my cervix grow weird. I sure hope it goes away. FX. Also, she mentioned that she worries that my cervix will be too short because of having the LEEP surgery and becoming pregnant so quickly afterwards. If its below 2.5 cm then its too short and ill have to get a stitch into my cervix to keep the baby in for the pregnancy. Ill have a bunch of u/s done between 12-15 weeks along to measure my cervix to see what it's at. I pray it's a normal length and I dont need a stitch. I feel sad and defeated and worried about the bad cells again and the cyst and cervix 😭 I can't focus on anything but all the negative she spewed out. I have been crying from all this and my pregnancy hormones arnt helping. I literally feel hopeless about the future and this baby to be honest. If I had any excitement and happiness before, well thats just been killed. I'm sorry for being such a Debbie downer I just feel so overwhelmed today.. Anyone offer any positive hopeful thoughts?
@mindyb2019 That is a lot to process on a good emotional day, and being pregnant, there is even more emotions. Take a deep breath. You’ve got this! And it sounds like she was super positive about all the pregnancy stuff, so try to focus on that and let the rest pass until they need to be dealt with. Doctors tell us all the info, because they have to inform us, but that doesn’t mean any of it will happen. Hang in there, take some time for some extra TLC, and think of what’s best for your lo right now.
@ramzlau thanks friend. Yes it is alot to process, especially being pregnant makes it worse. Im trying to take a deep breathe but im worried and scared now. Do u know if cysts inside are something to be worried about? Can they go away on their own? I've never had one on my cervix before and it wasn't there before so im wondering why now?
@mindyb2019 that is a lot to take in. You’re not being a Debbie Downer, your feelings are all completely valid and understandable. No need to apologize for feeling your feelings, especially when you are processing worrisome news. Hugs.
But the good news from your doctor is good news! That you’ve recovered well from the LEEP and that your hcg levels are fantastic! I agree with @ramzlau that, as much as possible, hang onto the positives (easier said than done, I know) since the other is out of your control for now. But it sounds like your doctor is being cautious and has a solid plan in place. So let her manage that and you take care of you! ❤️ Thinking of you and sending lots of positive vibes across the country.
@mandyb2019 that is a lot to take in and process, especially while being pregnant. The good news is great! Try to focus on that! Sending positive thoughts your way!
@mindyb2019 I have had them on my ovaries, they put me on birth control and they shrunk (birth control was just to speed the process up, but they gave me the option to do nothing and let them resolve). I haven’t heard anything of them being on the cervix before, but it sounds to me like your doctor expects it to resolve on its own like they normally would on ovaries.
@mindyb2019 I don't have anything to add since I'd just be echoing everyone else's words, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything stays towards the positive and you get your THB. Feel your feels when you need to. Remember that you are pregnant today ❤️❤️

@mindyb2019 I'm so sorry, that is more than an overwhelming amount of information. Like others have said, let yourself feel those emotions and don't be too hard on yourself. Doctors have to tell you the worst case scenario no matter how likely or unlikely it is. Your numbers are fantastic and your cervix looks great right now, so try to just take it one day at a time. Sending you all the love and good cervix vibes!
As for me I have my first ultrasound today and I'm very nervous. I just really have no idea what to expect, I seem to be stuck in this mindset of hope for the best, expect the worst. I hope this goes away soon so I can start enjoying this, maybe once I graduate from my RE to the OB it will start to seem more normal!
Thanks everyone. It took all day to get my results back last time but I went earlier in the day today so I’m hoping that helps. We’ll see. I POAS once I got home and it’s still positive but I don’t think it’s getting any darker. Nervous right along with everyone else.
@ellieemc26 FX for your ultrasound! I hope you see the cutest little fetal pole! I always keep my expectations super low too, but it definitely doesn’t leave much room for excitement. Idk much about RE’s but I hope you get to graduate and settle into feeling all the good feels!
@hillbillywife FWIW, I think FR has been having issues with some of their tests lately. I had a box of 3 that all showed up with a similar shade to my test line that I took over 3 days. If I wasn't actually pregnant I think these would have shown up with an evap line. Crossing fingers for your results!
@ellieemc26 FX for a good US. You went through IVF right? It's a very weird experience to see a sac in there instead of nothing!

Just got a call from the doctors office. My betas rose appropriately for a viable pregnancy, so I go in Monday to get my iud out (hopefully with an ultrasound attached). I’d like to know what the actual numbers are but they didn’t hit the patient portal yet.
@artsiefartsie thank you! You’d think it’d just be enough to know everything is ok. If for whatever reason I can’t see the results I’m def going to ask about them at my appointment
I had another beta draw today and I got my results back already. Went from 4100 to 7344 yay!! All smiles over here 🙂 Makes me happy things are still rising.
My ultrasound went great! Baby measured 6w4d and I was 6w5d, heartbeat was 124! I'll have to see if I can figure out how to post the pic in the new thread that got started.
My SO said it looked like a little astronaut with a big helmet on and the cord tethering it back to the ship, he's be big scifi fan so of course he would go that route, but I thought it was pretty cute he was looking that intensely at the screen! They also ok'd me to graduate to my regular OB since I already had an appointment scheduled in 2 weeks, I'm relieved to get things going on a more normal track and get out of the IVF mindset. And I get to start weening off the meds in another 2 weeks too, that will be great to get to finally stop these dang progesterone shots! My butt is sore....lol.
