HI FRIENDS!!!!

*How long were you active on TTGP and when (minimum of 3 months)? Sept 2018-Sept 2020

*How far along are you? 5+2w

*Which birth month board/due date? June BMB, 6/2 but I'm sure that will get pushed back a few days with later ovulation

*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Team finding out!

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. DH and I have always loved Willow for a girl, so that's pretty set but we have no idea on a middle name to go with it, nor have we seriously talked about it at this point. We definitely want nature/tree/bird kind of first names. Pretty sure we're set on using DH's name as a boy middle name, but we are never going to agree on a first name. He's so dead set on the idea of naming a boy Timber. Call me crazy, but I both love it and hate it. I like the edginess, but on the other hand, I don't like using the short name Tim (Bear would be okay though) and I feel like the kid is going to get teased growing up. Feel free to weigh in on this name

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? WELL let's just say things were off to a anxious start because at 4 weeks my RE expects my beta to be 100 when it was only 15. The nurse that called with my results even mentioned the possibility of a chemical (not cool). So I spent 2 days telling myself that it was fine, but my test lines weren't getting any darker so I was just hoping for the best. Pretty sure something was wrong with that box of tests. But my number nearly tripled for the 2nd beta and things have been smooth sailing since. Now I'm just wasting the tests I have left because they'll all expire before we would even consider trying for a 2nd. Symptoms have been quite mild which has been great, and appreciated haha. Hope everyone else is doing well! Miss you all!

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. I've been playing around in Ovia's Name picker thingy but we haven't even talked about this. My family always always uses family names as middle names and MH's family just makes shit up so we've got some things to talk about. I can already hear my Mom's voice in my head urging me to use our middle name (for a girl) that her parents gave her, and she gave me... but that's not happening.

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? We told our parents this week, my parents were unusually reserved in their reactions, though my mom did admit that she bawled happy tears all the way home and hasn't really spoken to me since lol. My ILs were unusually animated and excited, which kind of bridged the gap so that felt good. I'm glad we told them second or I would've been extra disappointed by my parents' lack of reaction. I know they're beyond excited, it was just a little underwhelming.

Missing my TTGP friends and wishing everyone so much love and luck. Know that I'm only a lurk, tag or PM away. Our first viability US isn't until Oct 13th so until then we have no more betas and I'll just be over here chewing my fingernails and eating my hair.

Well I had a pretty uneventful scheduled CS due to the complications I mentioned last time. Recovery has been an adventure but I'm feeling better every day! (Although recovery probably would go a bit faster with more sleep 😆). And I can't seem to get enough snuggles from my little guy - he is a delightful addition to our lives.

This last update feels so bittersweet. As my last words to the TTGP family, I just want to say how much this community helped me on so many dark days. This is truly a fantastic corner of the internet full of amazing people. I will continue lurking and rooting for each and every one of you!! Let's keep the grads coming - I'm hoping I run out of celebratory gifs in the coming months (:

@bows22 thanks for asking, friend! Miss you. She has been very sweet, and always wants to be involved with everything. She is constantly trying to shove a paci in his mouth or put a blanket on him... this week we had to learn that we can't cover up babys' face with a blankie haha. So we're constantly on the lookout for her well-intentioned "help". 😛

@inthewoods23 I’m digging the name Timber. No pun intended 😆 I used to work with a guy at my old job and he has a son named cedar which I think is cool so why not Timber? It’s another tree. I say go for it.

I know I haven't reached my due date yet, but she's been measuring ahead for quite some time now (her BPD was in the 96th percentile and she was measuring at 4.5lbs already at my growth scan at 31 weeks), and I am just so ready to be done. I have never been so consistently uncomfortable in my whole life, and there are times where I wish I could just take the belly off for, like, a half hour so I can catch my breath and eat a normal meal. I know once she's born, I will miss this, but right now it's a struggle. I broke down in the shower yesterday because I had hit a wall mentally. It's not that I'm not feeling grateful or blessed, but I admit I was unprepared for the loss of body autonomy that comes with late third trimester. I have a checkup with my OB tomorrow and I plan to discuss induction options as I approach the 40-week mark. Since this is my first delivery and she's measuring so far ahead, I worry about being able to deliver vaginally if she's over 9-10lbs and that I'll have to go with a c-section if I go overdue. I'd rather induce at 39 weeks than risk a c-section at 40+, and I've discussed that with MH too so we're on the same page, as well.

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? After months of not being able to get the fetal echo images, they finally got them at my last appointment and everything looked great! So we were able to put to rest most of our fears that he could have the same heart defect MH was born with. Getting excited about approaching due date but simultaneously very anxious about finishing up all things in the house I want to complete before he arrives.

I am so overjoyed to seem some of you IF ladies graduating!!! And praying so hard for all my TTC ladies that they can make announcements soon too. ❤️

*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Team PINK x2!!! We did the NIPT, which is only able to tell you whether or not male fetal DNA is present, and I have none! MH and I had a moment about it - excitement that we're here and also processing that this is likely our only pregnancy so this is our complete family. And now we're deep in the throes of princess prep!

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We have two names we're living with right now, they're probably going to be it, but we're making sure. We're not going to share IRL, but once we feel pretty firm about it will share here. MH referred to one of the girls by name last night which was a whoa moment.

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? After a straight month of still having some bleeding, I am currently 6 days clear! If I make it to Day 7 tomorrow, I'm cleared to start light activity again, which is huge for me. I'm also deep in the throes of reorganizing my entire house to accommodate two new humans, which is just as overwhelming and exhausting as it sounds!

I am so beyond delighted that we've had an exodus from the IF thread lately, and I am still rooting for everyone to make their way out! I'm sending everyone here at TTGP so much

*How are you doing picking out a name? i have my lists but it is definitely too early to start discussing with DH. with him i may be best off waiting til we are on our way to the hospital, ha!

Anything else exciting to share? i had some spotting last week that brought me in for an US and we saw a heartbeat at 6w2d---not as strong as doc wouldve liked at 103, but i go back on Friday for a followup. spotting has continued on and off and i am trying my absolute best not to be a basket case. otherwise excited and doing well even though my symptoms are now progressing beyond just 'mild'

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? I turned 30 weeks on Friday and then turned 30 years old on Saturday - which felt pretty special! We had our socially distancing friendly baby shower yesterday and I'm just feeling so overwhelmed with love. I was sitting in her nursery this morning reading some of the books she got to her and I couldn't stop crying. For so long it felt like I would never get the chance to read to my baby and here I am. It makes my heart so happy to see so many people graduating from here lately and I pray the trend continues!

@asf0613 I've asked a couple other IF ladies (since those that go through treatment often have 6-8 week USs) about the heartbeats at early USs and sometimes you don't always get a heartbeat that early. It's normal for it not to be super strong yet since the heart is still in the process of developing. Hope everything looks good on Friday!

@asf0613 Agree that 6 weeks is really early, so I'd try not to worry. My OB wouldn't do an ultrasound before 7ish weeks because often you can't see anything yet and it just makes you worry. I had brown spotting at 6 weeks and they intentionally didn't bring me in until I hit 7 weeks for that reason (after I confirmed that it was extremely light, brown, and no other symptoms).

@asf0613 I had scans at 6w, 6w1d with both of my successful pregnancies and the HB was around 100 for both (105 and 117, I think). My Dr said at that point he was happy with anything over 100. Baby's heart just started beating so try not to worry!! (Easier said than done!!)

@kiki047 H was disappointed by my parents' initial reaction too! They're definitely excited and were right off the bat but they're a bit reserved. He graded people on their reactions and wanted everyone to be squealing the way my best girlfriends (and my brothers also haha) did.

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. Beverly Hope. For some reason I tend to tell people when they ask IRL, and people who are around my parents' age are always so delighted by this name choice haha.

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? We got married on Saturday 10/10, our 5th dating anniversary. It was a tiny pandemic ceremony but very sweet. I'm glad we did it! I didn't wear a wedding dress and actually ended up with my second choice maternity dress (had a minor meltdown the night before over this and also my hair which looked pretty much like the hair of someone who definitely has not been to a salon since even before Covid ) -- but ended up feeling good about wearing it! I won't post a picture here since all pictures of me are currently bump pics, but you can see the one I posted here!

Also, the recent exodus has made me extra-appreciate how special this board is. It's amazing how even while people here are going through something so painful, the feeling of being so excited and happy for someone else when she gets her BFP is real! Some of the long-time IF ladies who have graduated recently have been the biggest cheerleaders for people who are struggling while they were struggling themselves, and were always so happy about other people's grad announcements! It's so special to have a place where we can be open about our struggles but still feel genuinely overjoyed for people when they get their good news.
