I am dealing with back pain as well and did early on for my first pregnancy too. It made me really nervous too, but at my first ultrasound with my last one I found out I have a tilted uterus and it pushes on the nerves in my back. Apparently it's pretty common! It went away after 10-12 weeks I think...once the baby gets big enough and the uterus changes position (something like that...I don't remember the technical terms 😂). Anyways, its common to have back pain at this point from my experience so 🤞 it's the same for you!
How’d you find out? It was a bit of a roller coaster, decided to test 4 days bmp and got a faint positive so I went in for a blood test but it came back negative (must have been super dehydrated 😅) Decided to take a fire assignment since I wasn’t pregnant ( I live in OR and every is on fire) Then period never came so took another test and got a positive so took 5 more and another blood test and finally got my for sure BFP! Had to make some quick arrangements to get off the fireline 🤗
Other children/pets? No kids, 2 cats and one dog
Job? Wildlife Biologist
Things you like to do? Spend time outdoors, visiting wineries with my friends (not anymore 😭)
Spouse/partner? Together since 2014, married since 2019 ❤️
First appointment? October 12th
Symptoms? Nausea, headache, cramping, exhaustion and sore boobs
@spartan4life I also have a tilted uterus and have been having lower back pain - it didn’t occur to me that they could be related, but that totally makes sense. Thanks for the info!
I am joining here very very tentatively. My period is two weeks late and nowhere in sight. We took a cheapo HPT that came back positive but had a lot of reviews for false positives. We’d take another but we are on vacation in Greece with no access to one!
Due date? May 23rd...I think.
How’d you find out? See above! We took a cheap pregnancy test with us on holiday and I took it our first morning here in Greece. I was sitting on our balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea!
Other children/pets? A 2 year old dog 🐶
Job? Healthcare Assistant
Things you like to do? Oh gosh, so many things!
Spouse/partner? Married May 2018
First appointment? After taking another test when we get home to double confirm, we will call the midwife.
Any symptoms? Sore boobs which I’ve never had before! And I guess a little fatigued but not too bad.
@mrosek91 hi!! I’m not feeling too bad. It’s a “surprise” but very much a wanted pregnancy. How long was I on BOTB for, 2 years? 🙈 This is the first I’m talking about it besides with DH so it feels weird and doesn’t feel real yet lol
I knew this was going to happen. My period was two and a half weeks late and I waited a few days after getting that BFP just in case before posting here but I’ve now gotten it. It was either a false positive or it was a CP. So less than 24 hours later, I’m off. Sorry ladies, best of luck. H&H pregnancies for you all ❤️
How’d you find out? My dog would not stop following my every move. Followed by peeing 5 times in one night. Finally took a test when my period was 2 days late.
Other children/pets? My ten year old dog who predicts pregnancy 😂 and two year old son, August 2018.
Job? Clothing Designer
Things you like to do? Sew, mend ripped jeans and sweaters with holes in them (dang moths!), watch TV once 2yo is asleep.
Spouse/partner? Today is out 4 year wedding anniversary ❤️
First appointment? Will be oct 5
Any symptoms? Beyond exhausted, nausea, food aversions, so thirsty, peeing a lot at night... and major lower back pain. But saw the tilted uterus comment and I too have a tilted uterus!
High risk / concerns? Had an early MC in May, so just anxious. Also worried about having gestational diabetes as I’ve gained a noticeable amount of weight since my last pregnancy.
How’d you find out? Frozen embryo transfer, HPT 4dpt, confirmed by blood test 5 days later.
Other children/pets? 2 year old son (May 2018), 3 cats, and a dog
Job? Software engineer
Things you like to do? Walk, bike, assemble furniture 😅
Spouse/partner? Married in 2016
First appointment? Oct 12, ultrasound to confirm that all looks good before graduating from RE to regular OB 🤞🏼
Any symptoms? Food aversions. Slight cramping. Shortness of breath.
High risk / concerns? Hoping yo have a smooth sailing. I had slight pre-eclampsia with first pregnancy (but nothing too dangerous), and I’m 37.

Hi everyone! Due date May27 How'd we found out? Took test 3 days before period Other children. 4yr old daughter and 2 year old son Job: SAHM things I like: crocheting and reading First appt: Nov2 High risk: none
How’d you find out? I was apple picking with my 4 yo and he was talking about how he wanted brothers and sisters (he also calls his friends who have graduated preK his brothers and sisters...). He even stopped another kid to complain about it in the orchard and his mom just laughed. I got home and looked at my charting app and thought, hey I'll just take a test. My husband and I have been casually trying for a year for a second and more seriously trying for the last few months. Sure enough... It was a faint, faint positive.
Other children/pets? One son, 4 yo born September 2016
Job? High school biology teacher
Things you like to do? Avoid the plague at home, spend time with family and outside
Spouse/partner? Met 2008, Married in 2012
First appointment? October 7
Any symptoms? Tired and occasional waves of nausea
High risk / concerns? I had preeclampsia last pregnancy starting at 30 weeks, hoping to avoid that this time around.
How’d you find out? Super impatient and had been trying for 7 months. So I took early detection tests and then another test to confirm the pregnancy when I actually missed my period.
Other children/pets? Nope, my first. I have dogs.
Job? University Library Technician
Things you like to do? Watch TV, sit by a fire, walks.
Spouse/partner? Married in 2018
First appointment? October 13
Any symptoms? Sore boobs, very little appetite, nausea...more like all day sickness and not just morning sickness, tired ! Luckily I have only actually thrown up once in 8 days.
High risk / concerns? Umm concerned about my back pain, already have issues with my back and not sure how it will be once the baby grows.
@firstpodlowskibaby I know everyone is different but if it makes you feel better, I have chronic back problems and I was terrified that pregnancy would jack that shit up, but when I was carrying my daughter everything was fine.
How’d you find out? Missed period, then felt completely nauseous for several days, took a test and thought it was very feint line, but possible. A few days later got a clear positive.
Other children/pets? No children, just hubby and the cat.
Job? Lawyer
Things you like to do? Baking, hiking, sewing
Spouse/partner? Married
First appointment? Had GP appointment last week, OB still to be confirmed.
Any symptoms? Want to throw up 24/7
High risk / concerns? Previous losses so very nervous.
How’d you find out? 2nd FET after the 1st one didn't take in March. Managed to hold out POAS until 10dp5dt, confirmed by blood betas 9/22 and 9/24 with #s doubling nicely so I'm a little late to the party but overjoyed to be joining y'all here after almost 3 long years of TTC with both female and male factor IF.
Other children/pets? First human baby, 2 cats and a part-time dog (lol we share custody of the dog with MH's ex-wife... I'm sure you'll hear more on that later )
Job? Financial Advisor
Things you like to do? Golf, garden, travel (wahh), cook/eat - we're big foodies.
Spouse/partner? Married in 2019, trying since Dec 2017.
First appointment? Follow-up betas this week, then U/S to check for HB around 7-8wks. Hoping we'll have a little more monitoring because we're IVF patients.
Any symptoms? All.the.things. Bloating, cramping, leg cramps, uncomfortably sore/swollen boobs, gassy, hot flashes... Still on a ton of hormones from the FET and expect to continue estrace and PIO through to 12wks so I would attribute most of my symptoms to that, but the sore boobalas are like next-level since we found out. I got the hiccups around 8-9dpt, couple times a day, only for a minute at a time, which was what made me start to think it might've actually worked. I still randomly have like 2-3 hiccups a few times a day, like a reverse burp they're annoying and hilarious and also mildly embarrassing.
High risk / concerns? FTM here so of course worried about every little thing. But we go for 2 more follow-up betas this week, and just praying that MH will be allowed to come to our first U/S. He's been waiting a loooooong time to be a dad and has been through hell and back dealing with IF for so long. I hate that covid may further rob him of some of the joys of this experience.
ETA: My RE told me that as an IVF patient I'm considered high-risk until I'm not, so we'll go with that.

@kiki047 So, I've been bored and lurking TB today and actually saw your thread in TTGP and thought, wow, this person is really well liked, they are sure going to miss her in the that group. Then it dawned on me, hey, she might be in May! And here you are! Big congratulations, as it looks like this has been a long time coming! Looking forward to getting to know you
@texas_t aww you are so sweet, that made me tear up. Thank you! I'm SO excited to be here and to get to know all of you! Slightly overwhelmed at the moment trying to wrap my head around the idea that after 3 years we're finally pregnant, but hoping to jump in to some of the threads soon once I get my bearings.

Any symptoms? SOOOO TIRED! And oh my gosh, my boobs are so sore.
High risk / concerns? I dont know if this is considered high risk, but I have a thin cervix due to a LEEP procedure 11 years ago, so I had very frequent ultrasounds with my first pregnancy to make sure my cervix was thick enough.
I know that I am not due until June, but I hopped on here because there is not a June board yet.
@bs_otw_0201 welcome!! I have a June due date too. Came here for the same reason. Also, I like being at the end of a BMB so I can hear what others are experiencing before I get there.
@bs_otw_0201 welcome! I had LEEP done about a year ago (had abnormal PAP and then biopsy after first baby), but didn’t think much about it 😬 I’ll definitely need to talk to my OB about any potential risks associated with it.

First appointment? 10/8 for confirmation by blood test
First appointment? Today !
Any symptoms? Sore boobs, moody ,waves of nausea, indigestion
High risk / concerns? Just hoping this one is healthy preg. Had a MC a few months ago.
After lurking for a week decided to finally post 😉
