Hey everyone! I'm so excited to be here even though it's early and I'm still a bit nervous.
Due date? I'm estimating May 21st right now
How’d you find out? I was craving pizza hut pizza a few days ago (pretty much all I ate when I was pregnant with my son) so DH said I was probably pregnant. I knew at that point I was two days late but my periods were still regulating from coming off BC. We agreed if my period still didn't start by this morning I would test and sure enough...BFP! We are really excited 😊
Other children/pets? One son who is a Oct 2018 bump baby
Job? Clinical Laboratory Director
Things you like to do? I love to cook and bake. Also take our son to the park when the weather is nice and then go for ice cream.
Spouse/partner? Married in 2012, together since 2008
First appointment? I will call Monday to schedule it.
Any symptoms? Sore nipples but other than that mostly just really tired for now.
High risk / concerns? Like most of you, just nervous about being pregnant during the pandemic and what that will mean for doctor appointments, etc. Thankfully my last pregnancy was uneventful so I am hoping for the same this time around.
How’d you find out? Late period, high BBT and early spotting which is typical to me being pregnant so tested and got a BFP!
Other children/pets? No living children, and a 3 year old beagle named Oliver
Job? Marketing
Things you like to do? Spending time with my dog, volleyball, pottery, training.
Spouse/partner? Met in 2013, engaged since 2019
First appointment? TBD
Any symptoms? A bit of tiredness and maybe just had some nausea.
High risk / concerns? I am considered a high risk pregnancy. This is my 4th pregnancy in just over a year. 2 of them were early losses (chemical pregnancy and blighted ovum) and the 3rd one was a devastating 20 week loss of our first little boy after my water broke prematurely. We don't know the cause, so I will be monitored closely with progesterone starting in the 2nd trimester and frequent cervical lengths measurements. So yes, lots of concerns, but we are hopeful and are taking it one day at a time, only 35 weeks and 4 days to go 😅.
How’d you find out? We’ve been trying since March or April and I took a test once my period was late.
Other children/pets? We have two boys. The oldest is 8 and the youngest is 3.
Job? Stay at home mom but I’m putting my teaching degree to use this year and started homeschooling my oldest.
Things you like to do? I enjoy spending time with my family. I also like reading but I don’t take the time to do it.
Spouse/partner? My husband and I have been married since 2008.
First appointment? I don’t have a first appointment scheduled yet. I should have that scheduled this coming week.
Any symptoms? Random cramps, occasional gaggy feeling, random tingles in my boobs, and overall stomach not feeling settled.
High risk / concerns? I’m 36 so I will be considered “advanced maternal age”. It made me happy to hear my doctor tell me at my yearly checkup that he has many moms upwards of 40 having babies and he doesn’t even bat an eye at it anymore.
I did end up with a c-section with my youngest. As much as I would love a VBAC, I think our plan will be a repeat c-section and I will get my tubes tied.
TW...
Between my two boys, I had a missed miscarriage (16 weeks) and two chemical pregnancies (both around 6-7 weeks). It was a rough few years.
To top it off, both of our boys inherited benign infantile seizures from me so the first year hasn’t been a pleasant one for us in the past. Thankfully, both boys are healthy now and have outgrown the seizures just like I did.
While I’m absolutely ready for one more baby, I’m still nervous.
How’d you find out? Tested after my period was late
Other children/pets? 3 boys (Mar16, Oct17, Aug19)
Job? It Auditor
Things you like to do? Bake, read, crochet
Spouse/partner? Married in 2015
First appointment? Need to call on Monday
Any symptoms? Crying at the drop of a hat
High risk / concerns? My labors have been approximately halving in length with each pregnancy, so I'm worried about making it to the hospital in time, but I have a while before I really need to worry about that.
How’d you find out? Late period. Tested this morning and got a BFP (after two negative tests last week).
Other children/pets? 2 boys (ages 6 & 3), a dog and a cat
Job? Financial Planner & Health Coach
Things you like to do? Reading, yoga, walking/being outside, serving at our church and in our community.
Spouse/partner? Married since 2011
First appointment? September 17 (existing well woman exam lol
Any symptoms? Nasal congestion, tired, cramping, linea nigra (I suspected it was pregnant when my line was back)
High risk / concerns? Some. I’m older and my second pregnancy was physically more difficult than my first, so I worry about what my body is going to do. I’m older, and more tired. 😂 I also have EDS, so that’s a concern I have, too.
Due date: May 17th (day after my husbands 40th birthday!)
How did you find out: BFP 12 DPO. Been TTC for 2 years and was about to start IVF this next cycle, so was especially surprised (as was my fertility doc - they cancelled my treatment this cycle due to my body not responding to the meds the way they hoped, but I still got pregnant via intercourse).
Other children/pets: no
Job: e-commerce and digital marketing for a supplement and snack brand
Things you like to do: travel (at least used to!)
Spouse/partner: married in 2018, been together since 2010
First appointment: Oct 2 with OB - hoping my fertility clinic will see me sooner though!
Any symptoms: debilitatingly tired
High risk/concerns: TW....
... my first and only other pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks 3 months ago, and I’m insanely nervous of the same outcome. My initial blood test showed low HCG levels, but could be due to late ovulation. They exactly doubled when I tested 2 days later, which is a good sign, but they are still so low. Going back again after 4 days tomorrow, and I know I’ll be a wreck all day until we get the results back. All the fingers and toes crossed this one pulls through!
@meganwhit Good luck at the next appointment! I had depressingly low HCG levels with my first, they didn’t even quite double in 48 hrs but my two year old is happily playing right now so your numbers definitely aren’t anything to be too worried about.
How’d you find out? Very faint BFP at 9DPO on Sept 05. I've tested too many times since then in order to calm my PGAL brain.
Other children/pets? One daughter, August 2017 Bump Baby
Job? Project Manager/Engineer
Things you like to do? Hiking, running, being outdoors
Spouse/partner? Married in 2014
First appointment? Oct 13
Any symptoms? Very tired and sore boobs.
High risk / concerns? Had a blighted ovum at 8 weeks before my daughter, so pgal brain until I see something in the sac 😀. Also, being pregnant during a pandemic
How’d you find out? We started trying in June, so I tested on the first day of my missed period and got the ol’ double line this time.
Other children/pets? This is my first pregnancy, but we have three rude cats who are in for the surprise of their lives
Job? I’m a comedian / actor
Things you like to do? I love cooking, hosting dinner parties, reading, exercise, art, and live shows (missing those these days!)
Spouse/ partner? Married last summer
First appointment? Oct 1
Any symptoms? Some fatigue, sore boobs, and today the smell of raw chicken was SO strong to me I could’ve sworn it was rancid even though the expiration date was still days away. My husband said it smelled normal, so I’m glad I had his non-pregnancy-addled nose check it out before wasting a perfectly good chicken. Haha. Just had to light candles all over the house to recover. 😆
High risk/ concerns? I guess just not knowing what to expect, since it’s my first. Looking forward to hopefully feeling more solid after my first appt.
Hiii! I’m Chelsea. Just getting on the bump for the first time!
Due date? May 19th
How’d you find out? Fourth pregnancy for me, I knew I was feeling pregnant before I missed my period. Took one 2 days after I missed and got the positive.
Other children/pets? 12 yo daughter, 9 yo son, 4 yo daughter. One big crazy Rhodesian Ridgeback pupper.
Job? Owner of a marketing agency
Things you like to do? I work and am busy with the kids a lot but I like to get outside for hikes, decorate the house, and search for the next great Netflix/Amazon Prime binge.
Spouse/partner? Boyfriend, soon to be fiancé.
First appointment? Not scheduled yet.
Any symptoms? Exhaustion, super painful boobs, stretching/pulling type cramps, extremely emotional in a crazy way LOL
High risk / concerns? Being pregnant while being a busy mom to three kids and a business owner! Not looking forward to the morning sickness... was really awful with my last pregnancies and I’ve been hospitalized with each one for it.
Looking forward to knowing you all over the next 9 months!
Hi everyone! Feeling SO fortunate to be
here!! Looking forward to getting to know everyone
Due date? May 23rd
How’d you find out? Took a test yesterday afternoon (after
running out to get tests) because I suspiciously hadn’t gotten my period yet
and was starting to SS. tested again last night and this morning, ha!

Job? I manage a focus group facility (market research) and also
work in a restaurant on the weekends

Spouse/partner? Married since June 2014 First appointment? Calling today! Any symptoms? Normal cramping at 10DPO, and my boobs were sore
to the touch the past two days. Really hadn’t
thought about it until the other night when I realized I was at 12DPO which is a longer
LP than normal for me High risk / concerns? Just tiptoeing in with my PGAL brain on high alert.
How’d you find out? Ttc, tracking ovu, took pregnancy test 9dpo, 12dpo, and finally got bfp on 13dpo at 3w6d
Other children/pets? 3 kids(bonus daughter-18, son-7, son-4.5) 2 cats and 1 dog
Job? Preschool teacher
Things you like to do? Spending time with family and friends, reading, shopping
Spouse/partner? Married in 2012, dating since 2004
First appointment? Tbd
Any symptoms? Exhausted, moody, crampy, and backaches
High risk / concerns? Obese, Probable gestational diabetic as I had with both sons. Had postnatal hemorrhage with second son due to a tear through varicose vein. That will put me in high risk category.
@ckmb_1250 yes ..last shot at 36 weeks pregnant as 37 weeks full term and baby is healthy to arrive.. I hope your shots go okay! You get used to them after the first few ❤️
@babybou4 oh lord... i’m not sure how long I’ll be doing them, but I’ve done 4 or 5 now and I’m in so much pain for the next 24 hours & walk with a limp despite foam rolling, taking hot showers, and using a heating pad. I always wake up around 3 am after the shot and have to take Tylenol to get through the next day. This is specific to the right side and left side is slightly better 😩
How’d you find out? We were casually TTC. Not tracking, but not preventing. I felt weird and snapped at my husband about potatoes, so I tested because that's out of the ordinary for me. Got a very faint positive 3 days before my missed period!
Other children/pets? We have 6 year old twin boys who are complete opposites in every way, looks and personality wise. 3 cats - Archie, Felix, and Blu 1 dog - Great Dane named Nyx
Job? SAHM
Things you like to do?
Spouse/partner? We started dating in Dec 2005, married in 2011. He's amazing and so supportive and I love him so much ♥️
First appointment? October 2nd, I'll be estimated 6 weeks + 1
Any symptoms? Fatigue, SO MUCH FATIGUE AND EXHAUSTION. Hungry all the time, sore boobs, nausea, but no morning sickness yet.
High risk / concerns? Ugh, there are so many right now. I'm obese, but that's the least of my concerns. This is my first pregnancy that I was able to conceive on my own. My twins were conceived with the help of Clomid. I developed severe preeclampsia with my twins and had to be induced at 34 weeks.
So far, there's some pretty stark differences between this pregnancy and the last one. I remember having painful cramping with my twins, but not this time. It's more of a tugging/pulling sensation, very mild and not at all painful.

High risk / concerns? Last pregnancy I had pre-e, HELLP, and cholestasis and an emergency c-section at 35 weeks, so I'll be working with a high risk OB from the beginning. Hoping for VBAC but not confident that it will happen lol
Due date? May 28th to 30th sometime (not 100% clear)
How’d you find out? We were NTNP (sorta - I was jumping him around the time I thought I was ovulating but not sure). I just felt off the past few weeks, I swear my body smelled different, so on the day I expected my period I gave in and tested.

High risk / concerns? TW: Loss * * * * I'm very cautiously joining the group after some losses. One was a very difficult second trimester loss in July and have been very eager to be pregnant again after that. My betas are a bit low so there's some concern of ectopic since they weren't quite doubling but my last one yesterday looked good so I'm very cautiously optimistic.
First time posting after lurking the TTC boards for about a year. Extremely excited, but also soooo nervous.
Due date? May 16th
How’d you find out? Took a test on the day my period was supposed to come because I felt weird. Truly didn't think it was going to be +. Took two digital ones and made my husband open one with a knife so I could see the lines

High risk / concerns? I have Type 1 diabetes which means that I have to very very carefully manage my blood sugars. I worked very hard to get my sugars under control before conceiving, but now I am doubling down. Means a lot of adjusting with my insulin pump and counting my carbs. So lucky to be working with a great endocrinologist and nurse educator who check in every three days Other than that so incredibly anxious about the possibility of a miscarriage.
