Welcome to May 2021 Bump Board! Let's get to know each other!

Job? CPA
Things you like to do? Spending time with our 2 year old
Spouse/partner? Married in 2013
First appointment? September 14
Any symptoms? SO very tired! And headaches from the caffeine withdrawal
High risk / concerns? None at the moment. Low progesterone so I have started the wonderful prog suppositories, but I had to do that last time so not surprised.
How’d you find out? I got a super-de-duper early line! I was having some CRAZY dreams, which is a tell for me, so I tested!
Other children/pets? Two sons, 5 and 20 months. July15 and Dec18 bump groups, even though the first was late and he's an August baby and the second was early and he's a November baby! We also have two dogs, Sade - a 9 year old Aussie mix and Maximus - a 9 month old Rottweiler.
Job? I.T. Specialist for a Forensic Engineering Company
Things you like to do? Hanging out with the family (2 and 4 legged), hiking, and reading!
Spouse/partner? Married since 2011
First appointment? I haven't made it yet
Any symptoms? Dreams dreams dreams! And peeing sooo much.
High risk / concerns? I've had two births and two losses, so I am a bit nervous that this isn't going to be straightforward. Also, I had a very traumatic birth the second time around; I'm suppressing the feelings about it for now, but I know I'll have to face them eventually.
How’d you find out? We had been trying for 9 months. I was actually supposed to pick up my first round of fertility meds the day I found out! I woke up with a killer headache and I try to be mindful of what I take during the TWW so I used up my last test so I could know for sure whether I could take Advil. I was so sure we were out that cycle so I was shocked. I actually ended up getting an error on the first test and made my husband stop at the store to get more.
Other children/pets? One daughter born in January 2018, 2 cats, and 2 dogs.
Job? Contracts Manager for a software company
Things you like to do? Sleeping I also like doing house projects and putting together charcuterie boards
Spouse/partner? Married in 2012

Any symptoms? Just super exhausted and maybe the faintest twinge of morning sickness starting? TBD but I hope not.
High risk / concerns? My thyroid is elevated so I've started medication for that but I'm not concerned about it at this point.
@texas_t yes! I started getting into them at the end of last year. Of course now I can’t eat most of the good stuff that goes on one so not sure how many I’ll be putting together the next 9 months unless someone else needs one hahaha.
Due date? May 4th but I'll have repeat c-sect so this will actually be an April baby lol.
How’d you find out? I tested the day before period was due and got a squinter on a cheapo. Used a FRER the next day and had a super obvious line. Been doing betas because of my pervious losses and they've way more than doubled🎉
Other children/pets? One son Oct13 and one daughter Oct17.
Job? Store Manager for Kohl's
Things you like to do? Read and my husband and I watch an embarrassing amount of tv😂 Currently rewatching The Office for the 100th time.
Spouse/partner? Married in 2011 together for 15 years next month.
First appointment? September 11th, ultrasound at 6+3
Any symptoms? So tired😭
High risk / concerns? I've had 4 losses between 5.5 and 8 weeks so just keeping my fingers crossed this is a sticky baby.
Due date? Should be 5/8 as long as they take Into account my late ovulation, not LMP.
How’d you find out? I had a miscarriage in July, the pregnancy was a bit of a surprise because it was my first ovulation after my daughter (2) and I assumed I’d need fertility help again to ovulate. It ended at about 8 weeks and I began tracking my cycle right away. Luckily I ovulated again and got pregnant the very next cycle. I’ve been testing since like 8 dpo and got a verrry faint + at 10dpo. Have been in for multiple blood draws but not getting too excited until I see an ultrasound
Other children/pets? Daughter - July 2018, cat, dog
Job? I worked in corporate retail for about 10 years and was just laid off. However the time at home with my daughter has been amazing, and I planned to take a year or two off when we had another baby. So I’m in a bit of a weird spot right now.
Things you like to do? Yoga when I can!
Spouse/partner? Husband of 5 years
First appointment? Have had blood draws every week.
Any symptoms? Some cramping, extra peeing, verrry tired and actually some mild nausea which is reassuring for me
High risk / concerns? No issues with my last pregnancy so hoping it stays that way. Concerned about covid restrictions for birth and women’s health in general.
@ckmb_1250 I had a MC in July as well, it was early but lasted forever😭 What did you do in corporate retail? I'm store side but dream of switching to corporate sometimes haha.
Due date? TBD but 5/11 based on ovulation or 5/9 based on LMP.
How’d you find out? We were trying in August so I was ready to test a couple times this week. I got a BFP with an EPT on Monday (8/31, 12 DPO) and I have a 26 day cycle so I would have been due for my period today.

@nbcarlson I’m sorry, glad we are both here! Mine seemed to last forever too, was still testing positive with hcg a full 2 weeks after! I was in sourcing and product development, I’m in Ohio so there are a lot of corporate retailers here. Definitely has it’s pros and cons 😂

First appointment? September 30th I have to attend this group meeting for expectant parents and my first appt/ultrasound isn’t until 10/13
Any symptoms? Hungry! Started getting shortness of breath and fatigue today.
High risk / concerns? My main worry is getting the NT scan. My last pregnancy showed risk factors during the NT scan. It was a very stressful and emotional time. I got an amnio done and everything. I ended up having a perfectly healthy girl but that “false positive” was a lot on us. I’m not sure if I want to do it again 😕
@julianne0 welcome! My OB during my last pregnancy didn’t even do NTs because she said they were outdated. She just did the genetic test around the same time (maybe AFP? I forget them all). So maybe that’s an option?
@ckmb_1250 interesting! At the time of my first ultrasound I’ll be around 11 weeks and no appt with an ob or midwife before that. So it makes it tough with making the decision without meeting before the ultrasound. I just assumed they would do the NT at that point but maybe not? Ugh
@julianne0 Maybe see if you can schedule a consultation in the next week or two just to discuss your options so you don't fee like you have to make a split second decision
