@1sttimemomma98 that definitely doesn't sound pleasant! I'll have to ask next scan what position he is in, it just really feels like he is pushing out the side of my belly sometimes when im laying on my left side. Super weird!
@mtengl lots of tears here last night as well, mostly centered around work stress and the increased pressure brought on by this COVID work from home situation and my maternity leave timeline which I/my team is not prepared for. I can fortunately bounce back quicker than in my postpartum depression days, but the swings are awful
@mtengl my anxiety has been really bad lately. I know part of it is leaving my job (I’ve been there for 7 years and I don’t like change), COVID, virtual school unknowns and some family stuff with MH’s family so I don’t know if I can entirely blame hormones...it’s like MH said this morning, there’s too much going on at the same time.
I will say I have had random bouts of unexpected overemotional meltdowns which is very much unlike me, I’m not generally and emotional person lol. That I do think I can blame on the hormones.
@bserena I get kicks all over the place depending on my position. I think baby girl likes to have her head down so if I lay on my left side, I'll feel lots of movement all over (turning around?) and then kicks on my right side and I'm 99% sure she's laying sideways😅 likewise, same thing happens when if i switch to my right side. Last time I was at my midwife she said that baby will still switch positions multiple times a day so not to worry if I think she's transverse or breech.
@babywiik okay thats good to hear that your midwife said its normal still! Its crazy how much movement there is now, especially when im laying down at night 😫😂
@bserena I’m feeling them a lot on the top right side and quite a few right in the cervix. I’m honestly not always sure what I’m feeling. It could be feet, hands, a head, who knows. I think he’s still flipping around quite a bit but sometimes it’s starting to feel like there’s a raccoon squirming around in there.
@surlyjaneausten yes!!! The squirming racoon is an accurate description🤣 @bserena at night an early morning=so much movement! But also during the day if I've been up and moving and then sit down😜 yesterday I got a hard jab and I jumped! It's startled me so much!😅
Have you all tried counting kicks yet? That's a joke! I've tried a few times but she moves too much to try and count them all 😆 maybe i just dont know how to do it but when they say there should be 10 kicks in an hr or 2...well, no worries there!
@bserena I was trying to figure out when she kicks at night to see if she matches that cycle when she’s born. Then the 2 yr old started having sleep issues...but yeah so much kicking. It seems like baby girl is up at 7 am and doesn’t like me sleeping on my right. She’s not head down yet so lots of head in the ribs happening over here. ***OUCH***
@babywiik It's 10 distinct movements in 2 hours. I never really do them since LO is active AF and is never not moving, kicking, and punching my insides.
@babywiik I was always advised by OB and again by MFM last week not to worry about doing kick counts if baby is active. But if they seem abnormally inactive when they normally would be going bonkers, that's when to do a kick count.

@babywiik my OB said basically the same as what @lurvleybunchococonuts said above! She said as long as I keep feeling movement as I have been, not to worry about kick counts. But if he starts moving less/I feel less movement then she said to eat a snack and lay down on my side and see how long it takes to get 10 movements. She said it should be under 2 hours.
@1sttimemomma98 I was feeling those intense cervix kicks for a long time too!! It literally will take your breath away! I think he may have finally turned though because now I am feeling kicks higher and also on the sides. @bserena I wouldn’t worry too much just yet about being transverse. Baby has room still so I think they tend to move from side to side and front to back until they start to run out of space.
@bserena the twins are so all over the place too and there's 2 of them in there! I think G is slightly more transverse/low than she was previously (breech right side) and D is transverse high. D is constantly allll over the place though and a lot of times the US tech has to relabel her positioning partway through scans 😂😂😂 it' so bizarre feeling them flipping and rolling and trying to stretch out your side or headbutt your ribs though!

I don't do kick counts - bc this baby moves all the time. I am not worried!
I am pretty sure baby is usually head down, likes to hang out with a bum or something picking out the left side, and feet in my right ribs. Sometimes I feel little tickles on the right side, so maybe hands or feet trying to get into the mouth? I know from ultrasounds the baby likes feet in the mouth (like folded in half). I do feel hiccups a lot on the left side low.
My Dr told me to start doing kick counts at 28 weeks. So far I swear they just give me more anxiety than anything. I've been doing them after supper, and the first couple days baby hit 10 kicks in less than 15 mins, but then of course the last two nights it's taken more than an hour. And while doing the kick count I seem to forget all about his soccer practice session earlier in the day...
When your babies flip around can you feel it? I feel a pretty intense pressure every so often and one side of my tummy gets tight. Then it’s followed by lots of movement. I assumed it’s her rolling and then coming feet out and going to town lol.
Thank goodness no noticeable kicks to the cervix or ribs. I find she likes to hang right around my belly button area. So strange...
@mama-buckets I feel this baby moving all the time! I feel lots of movement right after I roll over...i think she likes to be head down? But who knows! I wish I had a ultrasound machine so I could see what's going on in there on a more regular basis😅 do you ever feel baby poking out?
@mama-buckets yes, I'll get a big lump and pressure when one if them decide to roll. It's a fun game to play what position are the girls in before my scans. I've been right thw last two times lots of low low low kicks (Georgie is breech) and then high kicks to the side (Dottie is transverse). Also when I roll over at night they like to reshift their positions lol.

@lurvleybunchococonuts awww man! Headaches are the worst! It can be so hard to function. Do you get to take it easy today or do you have things you have to do?
@babywiik I can mostly relax thankfully. Also hooray DD is taking a rare 2nd nap today 🙌

Also I think that’s so fun to try and guess what positions the littles are in.
I felt my first “roll” of a limb yesterday lol. I was sitting in my husbands office chair and hand my hand on my tummy. Felt a little bop and then felt her roll whatever it was to the side. Soooo peculiar. I haven’t felt her poke out for any amount of time other than when she’s flipping around. I’m secretly so nervous of the day that happens haha.
My heartburn is really giving me all it’s got. I’m probably doing myself zero favors. Dinner has been rather late these past couple of nights and usually consist of something with some spice or some red sauce 😓. I have been having to sleep propped up (which feels mostly impossible) most nights to try and combat it. I know one thing, this baby better have some BEYONCÉ hair with the amount of heartburn I’ve had LOL
@mama-buckets@babywiik@teachingbp SAME! I poke at the babies to get them to move for me 😂 MH love *fighting* with DD during 3rd tri. She'd kick or poke and he'd poke her back and they'd go back and forth.
YUCK to heart burn. Mine has been awful lately too. Also due to not eating the smartest of dinners 🙈

@mama-buckets I so feel the same way when it seems the baby is flipping. +1 to baby hanging out at the belly button. I feel baby sticking out there and wonder if it is the leg, butt, hand, head... @lurvleybunchococonuts headaches are the worst!! I hope you feel better now.
