@goldpolkadot I’ve had similar thoughts! I’ve had two girls and was super nauseous with them and craved sweet things. This time I’m less queasy and can’t stand sweets. It makes me wonder if it’s a boy, or if it’s just a different kind of girl pregnancy, haha! I had a gut feeling with both girls that they were girls. When I told them that I felt like our first was a girl, my FIL was all “NO, men in my family don’t have girls!“ Because they haven’t...until his son helped produce two of them. 😂 He believed me the second time when I said I felt as though it was another girl! MIL was certain it was a boy and he said nope, he was going to stick with me on that one. I’m leaning towards boy on this one but I don’t know if that’s intuition or just feeling like we have to have a boy at some point.
@goldpolkadot my experience with both girls' pregnancies was pretty identical in terms of symptoms (obviously I had some differences with other things). So far this feels the same but it's really early so idk. My thinking is just that this is how I feel pregnant. I never had a feeling one way or the other (and we were team green always). SIL is 8 weeks with her second and has morning sickness for the first time. Their first was a boy so I'm kind of convinced she's having a girl. But that's a no symptoms vs. normal morning sickness without vomiting (so what I have every time) comparison. My mom had morning sickness with all 3 of us kids but gained double the weight with my brother (who was her first so not an age thing).
@goldpolkadot well I only have boys lol. But my third pregnancy was very different from my first two (cravings were totally different, different levels of sickness, etc.) I'm so early right now I don't have many symptoms but we will see. But I'd be hesitant to believe a difference in symptoms would indicate b vs g for me, personally!
@goldpolkadot this one was a surprise so nope, we did not always know we wanted four! I was terrified and still am a little bit, but getting more excited now. Our house is a total zoo and most days I feel like I’ve lost all control by 5:30, but really what’s one more? It’s going to be zoo regardless and I know someone will take care of me when I’m old!
With both my girl pregnancies, I have craved lemon something fierce. My boy pregnancy was easier all around. I’m not quite 6 weeks yet though, so still so very early. We shall see if I have any similarities! I’m trying to decide if we should do team green again
How many kids do you already have? Ages? One son, 2 in November
How are your other kids doing this week? Sort of a grump but also loving, so typical!
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? Just taking it day by day right now!
GTKY: (no judgement) what is your current care/school situation for your kiddo(s)? He is in his in home daycare- I love it, as it's taught by a very special lady. She wears a mask all day, cleans for an hour at the end of the day, and they wash hands "a lot", so I think it's as safe as it can be, just crossing my fingers every time I drop him off!
