Re: Weekly Check-In 8/17

  • @PinkKathryn12 - I went out a bought a day planner to keep track of everything in.  Usually it looks something like (**Random #s, my book is in the car, lol):

    IIII/   III
    F - 6:07 84 mg/dL
    B - 6:48 PB toast
          9:06 92 mg/dL
    S - 9:20 Tomato, Cottage Cheese
    L - 12:15 Taco Salad, Bell Peppers
          2:24 89 mg/dL
    S - 2:40 Grapes, Almonds
    D - 6:47 Chicken Power Bowl, Beans, 1/2 Rice
          8:58 98 mg/dL
    F/V - R, G, O, Y, P

The dietitian only cares about my #s, the rest of it is just for my own records.  Some days I'm laxer than others.  I usually do my C of beverages with hash marks at the top, and color of my fruits/veggies with letters down at the bottom (my midwife recommended a wide variety of color). But if I want to know how certain foods affect my #s, the "food journal" part lets me go back and check what they were like after specific meals. It also lets me make any notes related to my numbers, like if I was late with a reading, or if I ate something out of the norm due to a special occasion, etc. so I can be sure to relay that information to the dietitian.

  • @szwill86 thanks! I think my husband and 2 boys have it but they just have bad cold symptoms. I have tested negative twice now! It’s so weird I’m not able to quarantine away so that is surprising. I’m assuming my body is just so amazing it fought it off lol!
