First I want to send lots of hugs and love to all the mamas on this thread. For those of you who have lost, I send my heart to you! For those of you who are worried and anxious, regardless of the reason, know we are all here for you. The love and support of this community brings tears to my eyes.
I’m almost 11 weeks and had a healthy ultrasound on Monday. Tuesday night I started experiencing brown spotting. I saw my doctor Wednesday am and he said everything looked fine after getting another ultrasound. The spotting gets lighter at night and heavier in the morning. I only have minor twinges in my stomach which I’ve experienced most of the pregnancy. I can’t help but worry and think the worst and am dreading going to the bathroom. Any advice or similar experiences?
I had full on almost period-like bleeding on 8/1 and I've had 2 ultrasounds since and everything is still good. It's possible you scraped or bruised your cervix (nookie) or had a small subchorionic hematoma.
@gb207 I had brown/light pink spotting for a few days about two weeks ago. The same thing happened to me with my previous pregnancy as well. I don’t think brown spotting is anything to worry much about but I know that’s easier said then done!
I had light light pink and brown discharge (one wipe only, once or twice a day) off and on for the past 2 weeks but just chalked it up to spotting and tried to hold out until my first OB appt on the 20th. Today I felt cramps and checked and had bright red discharge (two wipes worth) but nothing on my panty liner and have had red bleeding spots every wipe for the last few hours. Not a lot but continuous light bleeding. I freaked and called my OB's office to see what I should be doing. They are squeezing me in tomorrow morning to check and make sure everything is okay, but I've been useless all day trying to not think about it so of course I'm obsessing about it. Hoping for the best tomorrow but super scared it's ectopic.
Hi all, I’m back... I posted about a month ago about a miscarriage. Well here I am 4 weeks later, I never got my period after the miscarriage so I tested and got another positive pregnancy test yesterday. A strong line too! I assume it’s a second pregnancy but I’m also wondering if they were possibly wrong about the miscarriage?! The ER doc diagnosed it and my OB had me take a home test the next day which came out negative so he said my HCG has dropped so it must be a miscarriage. He never had me come in to confirm with blood test. So BFP yesterday but I woke up this morning AGAIN with very light bleeding. Pretty much the exact timing of my bleeding last month at 4w... I’m so afraid to go through all this all over again! He doesn’t have me coming in until Wednesday. Praying the bleeding stops this time. Much luck and love to all of you!
Such a rollercoaster! We said we were going to take month off from TTC to grieve the miscarriage and weren’t really trying. It’s possible that I got pregnant again but I would think it is unlikely... I was pretty depressed after the loss and there wasn’t much baby making “activity.” I also drank my sorrows away a couple times completely under the impression I was no longer pregnant. Wish my OB was bringing me in sooner so I could get some answers! I expect he will do an Ultrasound on Wednesday - I will definitely request one. Thanks for listening! I have so many emotions right now I needed to put them somewhere!! Thankfully no more bleeding so far 🤞🏼
@jen622-2 Oh my gosh that’s so wild! I’m surprised they never had you go in for an official u/s when you were having the MC. Some women do continue to bleed throughout their pregnancy every month as if they are having a period so you just never know.
Update: cervix is closed and doc doesn't think the bleeding is enough for miscarriage. But the ultrasound only showed a possible 5wk sac, no heartbeat. Either my dates are off (I thought I was 8wk3d) or the baby stopped developing. Got blood taken today and will do again on Monday to see if levels are increasing. The waiting is so hard...
@jenn622-2 thinking about you during this time! I went through a roller coaster like this back in 2018. I had a MC, had a period, got pregnant the next month, miscarried again, then was pregnant before i even had another period. Now I have a healthy baby boy from all of this. It's so sad that these things happen, and definitely make us gun shy about any other pregnancies. We are all here for you!
No! My doctors office called this morning and said they need to reschedule until tomorrow! I’m going crazy wondering what’s going on but at least I’m feeling healthy (and pregnant) with no more bleeding so I’m just very grateful for that.
Well, I'm done ladies. The bleeding got worse and today's scan showed no more sac and my HCG levels have plummetted. I wish you all the best with your babies!
I had my appointment with ultrasound and they confirmed I am about 5 weeks pregnant so this would be a NEW pregnancy after my loss in July. They saw a sac this time so hopefully this pregnancy will remain healthy and viable 🤞🏼 I will probably bounce over to the April baby group since you are all further along than me. I hope nobody else in this group experiences a loss but if you do I hope you find a little comfort in the fact that your rainbow baby could be only a few weeks away. ❤️
Having some random spotting today and it’s really stressing me out! I never had spotting this late into my pregnancy with my DD. It’s also more of a pink/red then a brown which makes me more nervous. I hope it’s just a fluke and it stops soon. 😭
@kloe818 Sadly I can’t blame it on that! I haven’t even worked out the past few days. So I really have no idea what’s causing it. It hasn’t gotten heavier or anything though so I hope it’s just one of those weird things.
@manillabar The spotting unfortunately got worse and turned into more of a bleed so I am going in for an US later today. Thankfully it has returned to only a light spotting at this point and I don't have any cramping or anything but they want me to come in.
