@tamalahoops I’m between either letting my dogs tear apart a custom dog toy that will have either pink or blue stuffing or letting my husband kick a “gender reveal soccer ball” that has the smoke bomb stuff inside. I’m going to have a friend get the gender results and hubby and I going are to find out alongside our immediate family
@tamalahoops we are going to just do a cupcake for me and H and then hopefully a (small regular black) balloon filled with paint that someone hits with a dart for family. We’ll put a drop cloth underneath and then just roll it up and throw it out. That’s my hope. Idk if that will actually happen but we’ll see
With my daughter, MIL came to anatomy scan and put together a reveal for us and our friends on my birthday and I loved it. We were so shocked and it was fun to find out with everyone else. With this LO I would love to get the NIPT to know sooner, but DH wants to do the same thing we did for our daughter. It's just so hard for me to wait! 😆
MH leaves for work on Sunday so unless we get the results tomorrow ((it could happen but it’s not likely)), I’ll find out without him next week. I kind of want a fun way to reveal to just him but I haven’t decided what is even possible. We keep it a secret between just us until we confirm everything at the anatomy scan.
As of now we are team green. We didn’t find out with my daughter and I was CONVINCED I was having a boy. My husband & I were arguing over boy names during my delivery lol then the dr announced “it’s a girl” and our jaws dropped. It was honestly the best moment ever so I think I want another like it. I opted out of the NIPT gender results but we’ll see by the anatomy scan how we feel lol I do think it would be nice to know for my daughter to envision what’s to come.
Update! I was undecided (my husband thought it would be silly to ask them to with hold information from us), but today I met with the genetic counselor and had blood drawn for NIPT. She said the results will automatically load to MyChart, and there is no way to keep the sex out of the mychart results, so I would need to avoid that and wait for her phone call if I didn’t want to know. I’m much too impatient for that, and I figure it is unlikely that I will be able to avoid seeing the results for the remainder of the pregnancy so we decided we will go ahead and find out! Should know in 1-2 weeks!
I ended up finding out today! We did genetic screening through counsyl and theres just a little button that reveals the gender that was just too tempting. Husb still wants to be team green but he knows I know. Now I just have to keep the secret. I'm going to put the gender in the spoiler in the off chance he stumbles across this
We're having a girl! I am over the freaking moon! I got husb a tshirt that says girl dad and a matching onesie that says daddy's girl so when he's ready to find out I'll have that gift for him to unwrap. He's going to be so excited!

@manditchka24 omg we use MyChart too and knowing that the results are there and that I can casually check it if I wanted to will be sooo hard to not do until February! I’m going to stay strong, though. Can’t wait to hear what you’re having!!
We will be finding out when NIPT comes back (hopefully Monday). Do they still make silly string? I'm thinking about spraying him with silly string as a reveal.
I was convinced it was gonna be a boy for some reason but we’re having a girl! So excited! I gave the NIPT results envelope to my friends so they could assemble our gender reveal. We wound up filling a gender reveal soccer ball that I bought on Amazon with the revealing powder. We kicked it in our backyard with our parents to find out. Greatly satisfying pink “cloud” after the kick and easy clean up. So excited!
Not an overwhelming desire. I think that’s just how we did it in my last board... but also this board is a lot quieter so I don’t think it will be a problem to combine threads.
100% just realized I never actually posted our results here. Pregnancy Brain!
We are having another boy!! I am so excited. I really wanted another boy. I feel a little bad bc my H wanted a girl and we are most likely done after this one (keeping the option open for number three welllll down the road, probably through adoption). I was CONVINCED my DS was a girl and I thought this one was too ... I have bad intuition lol
Definitely want to find out! It's been hard enough keeping quiet about being pregnant from family and friends (only bc we want to tell my mom and fil in person and haven't seen both yet). My oldest wants a girl, my youngest wants a boy. We have 2 girls and hubby is pretty convinced we'll have 3.
We are team blue! My daughter has been talking about "baby brother" the entire time but my husband and I were convinced it was another girl. I'm a little creeped out that she was correct
@Cats*in*space congrats! And same thing here. My DD is 4.5 and she was *insisting* it was a "baby brother." She was right! I'm happy because she was really excited and with the 5 year age gap, I want more than anything for my kids to be close... closer than I was with my brother growing up at least.
Rainbow Baby? {2.1.21} MC at 8 weeks {EDD 9.2.20} Rainbow Girl! {2.28.16} Baby boy, lost at 16 weeks {EDD 6.10.15}
Currently my stepdaughter (21) insists it's a boy. My stepson (17) and their half sister (8) are currently arguing and having a competition to see who can pray the most to for it to be a boy or a girl, respectively. It's pretty amusing.
Love seeing everyone’s responses if they are finding out! Remember to update the spreadsheet that’s stickied at the top of the forum with your results (if finding out).
Just for fun- has anyone looked at this gender predictor chart and (for those who found out) has it been right? It was right for my son and BOTH my sisters’ two kids- so 5/5 correct predictions. If you’re not sure on conception month bc you weren’t tracking, chances are it happened in May.
It’s correct for both of mine but what I’d be interested to know is how many of us are having girls because if you’re 30-33 we’re all having girls apparently. 34-36 you’re having boys!
@szwill86 I don’t know if I was 34 or 35 when I conceived but both say I should have a boy and I am having a girl. I also did the predictor on two different websites before I knew the sex...one said boy and one said girl, both with the same info inputted!!
It was wrong with my first. I can’t wait to find out if it’s right this time. I’m jealous of everyone finding out already haha 3.5 weeks to go until my anatomy scan!
@WildMagelet people are really up in your business about boy or girl when it’s your first. MH and I gave out Scotch “hints” with our first. Completely made up and just whatever bottle he was in the mood for that night. 🤣
