I began having intense pain in my left hip and buttock area. I go to the chiropractor and plan on getting in there soon, it definitely doesn't feel like sciatic pain at all. I just wanted to see if anyone else is having this kind of pain? All my pregnancies (this is my 5th pregnancy) have caused some hip pains here and there..but not like this. I didn't do anything to injur and I've been babying it for days now. I think I'm going on the 4th day tomorrow without improvement...
I have an appointment next Wednesday and will talk with the Dr about it too...the pain is a really severe ache and it hurts to walk at times during the day and I have to ice and stretch to get it to ease up enough to function. It's pretty miserable. I think I came here for peace of mind or to see if I'm overreacting to it or if I should just message the Dr now? Thoughts?? I appreciate it.
@bkinn26 I have that sharp pain in my lower back/hip area too! It’s only after I get up from sitting or laying down funny on the couch though. Once I’m up moving around it goes away and stays away.

@bkinn26 I have been having that pain too! I have been attributing it to having injured my back before, but maybe not if others are having it too. Mine is really noticeable when I first wake up in the morning, but it also makes it difficult to lie on my left side for long at night. So far, it goes away once I get moving, but it makes me nervous about what will happen later when I get really big! Definitely ask your dr about it, since it seems yours is more severe, but you are not alone!
@dobiemom11 have you tried tums for the heartburn? My dr. Said pepcid is safe if the tums don't cut it. Personally, I have to do 2 tums and a glass of milk before bed every night or the heartburn wakes me up at night.
@babymakes9. I have been doing Tums and I think smaller meals might help. I am just so excited to be feeling better that I have been eating more. I am waiting on my grocery order for more milk. Yesterday I went for a slurpee though and that helped! Thanks for the info!
I can feel my hip joints cracking/falling into/out of place with almost every move. It doesn’t necessarily hurt, but just feels super awkward and I hope it’s not a sign of something worse to come 😳

@bearmomma1 I have this too! It started earlier this pregnancy for me too. With DD it just continued the whole pregnancy but didn’t get worse. Hopefully it will not get worse for you!
The worst for me is when my knee just goes out randomly. It’s like all my joints have turned into jello- but just randomly, when they feel like it!
I’ve been very emotional this past week from being anxious and overwhelmed (because of covid you legit can’t get anything in Canada/Ontario right now baby related like 90% of cribs are “out of stock” or won’t ship until the new year” and then crying at silly shows like say yes to the dress lol I feel like a hot mess and I am usually as cool as a cucumber! Still waiting for that glowing, energized, beautiful phase of second trimester everyone keeps talking about lol
@tryingktogku I feel your pain. I’m totally emotional and can’t stop fighting with my husband. I’m not in Canada and for now can get most things but haven’t really started Shopping for baby stuff. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if I have the same problem when I’m actually Getting the baby room set up
I’m at 20 weeks now and definitely not feeling that glowing happy energy. Nope. Just freaked out, irritable and emotional. It doesn’t help that our Air conditioner is broken and we’re having a heatwave.
Peeing all. the. time. I don't remember it being nearly as bad with DD, but it's so distracting when I'm trying to work. Fingers crossed that it's just how this baby is sitting and not an early sign of GD
I feel so full all the time, unless I’m hungry. There’s no in between of just being content...stuffed or starving is all I get

I thought I was lucky during my first trimester and skipping all the regular morning sickness symptoms. Now apparently my my body is making up for it emotionally.
Why didn’t anyone tell me I was going to be a sad emotional hurricane my whole pregnancy?(ok ok I’m pretty sure I heard that) but this is next level.
Isn’t trimester 2 supposed to be all happy and glowing not blubbering ball of frustration ?
So my right hip socket has been painful/achey since last night. It’s a strange feeling. Almost like I need to stretch & like it’s been overworked like after a workout. The only thing that makes it feel better is elevating my right leg. It was feeling better when I got up this morning but after making breakfast, emptying the dishwasher & taking out the trash it’s already hurting again. I have been moving around and bending over more than normal this week because we’ve been cleaning out two bedrooms and are moving things to storage. I think this is just a sign of doing too much all at once & my body can’t move like it used to anymore. I didn’t sleep well though because it hurt so bad!
@shelmcclel I had the same about a week and a half ago. It hurt to bear weight on mine, but it was the left hip. I iced multiple times a day on and off with a bag of peas for 5 days. I know it can hurt, and don't overdo it but be sure to go on a walk each day and look up stretches for your hip. And last, I would recommend a chiropractor. I have hip pains when I'm not pregnant and they're just worse with pregnancy, and getting an adjustment with my chiro is the greatest relief!
