Re: July Randoms

  • @crizz13 I cannot believe it is July either. This year has been wild but has also been flying by for me!
  • I was just whining about July this morning. It’s the most summery of months, no sign of spring or fall anywhere. Just heat.
  • I have no idea how we got here. But I really dont want to go back to March because March felt like 10 years.
  • @bserena woohoo!!!! Congratulations!!!!!
  • @bserena Congrats! I'm sure that's such a weight off your shoulders!
  • @bserena yayyy that is seriously awesome! Allll the good luck house vibes with the inspection! We just did that and the seller's just gave us money to fix the repairs when we wanted to, so it worked out great!  Also yay for haircuts! I just got my hair done last week and felt like a new person!
  • @jaclyn0405 oh that is awesome!! Hopefully the inspection will go well and the sellers are open to that as well. I am happy for you guys, it is so exciting to buy a home (and stressful too)!

And yes, I am definitely needing to feel refreshed haha. My poor hair has the worst dead ends. I told my husband I was excited to get a haircut and he goes... "oh good, they will make it even".... I am like wait what?!?!?  :D
  • @wychets oh no! I hope you are able to adjust and it doesn't feel so tiring soon! I know it was definitely rough when I came back to the office and I was still in first tri.
  • @bserena congratulations on the house!!! We just went through all that in April for our first house! So soooo exciting but also terrifying! DH now keeps an ever updating count of “how much of our house we own” 😂
also! I’m getting my haircut tomorrow! I haven’t had it cut since last June and mine is nearly down to my butt as well! I’ll likely take of 3-4 inches! I unfortunately cannot do too short since my head is so big/face is oblong 😂
What did you end up doing with yours, @bserena?

  • @lovelee3 I'm here at the salon now, lol, sitting under the dryer. Getting some highlights! I'm not taking much off, I love my long hair and would feel weird with it short. Probably 4 inches or so and then getting some layers/face framing pieces added in! Its been so long that all of my hair is the same length and I want it to have more movement
  • @bserena amazing news!!! I hope the process is as smooth and painless as possible!

@wychets I feel you!! I worked up until the day before I gave birth with my daughter and I don’t remember being this tired lol. Adjusting back to working every day is rough! I hope it gets easier for you soon!!
  • @windywoman and @lurvleybunchococonuts there's still time for the crazies....  ;)

  • @windywoman that is suuuuper creeptastic  :# I've heard so many horror stories like that.  People are so bizarre, just... WHY?
I totally agree with you that a little crazy here and there makes life interesting and keeps it from getting too boring and we're pretty boring so far here :D;)

My "drama" would be that my little brother whom I haven't spoken to since Easter (I have his # blocked and he's been deleted from my social media) just moved about 10 minutes away from where I live.  I am dreading potentially running into him as I have 0 plans to reconnect with him anytime in the future.

  • @windywoman Ugh that is super frustrating for your company seems as though they don't care.  If she's able to work from home, it makes no sense for her to be in the office potentially exposing others.

Family stuff does suck.  Maybe I can pull a quickly turn around and walk the other direction if I run into him :D:D

  • I feel you guys on the Covid scare. I6don't go out too much, just the store and whatnot, but 2 of my daycare parents work in healthcare. If I'm going to pick it up anywhere, it will probably be from one of them.

@wychets and @laurenmicheley that is super creepy! It makes no sense why they would lie. Especially to go as far as making up entire stories about giving birth!

  • @windywoman People are wacky.
  • My cat has been diagnosed with tooth resorption with one tooth. He's only 9 years old and otherwise healthy, but it apparently requires a bit of surgery for treatment. :(
  • @warmwinter oh no!!! I am so sorry to hear that :( It is never fun when our fur babies are in pain/need meds/surgery/etc. Wishing him and you a quick recovery and hopefully you can get it fixed without paying an arm and a leg!
  • @warmwinter aw I'm sorry you're poor kitty needs surgery! I always get so stressed when something is going on with my poor kitties because they obviously cant communicate how they are feeling.
  • @bserena CONGRATS on the house -- I'm sorry I'm so late!

@babywiik, @lurvleybunchococonuts, @windywoman, @crizz13 - y'all I am anxiously anticipating the crazies. It is an ANOMALY that we haven't had any yet. We had some real whack-o's in my S14 lol. Third tri is definitely their time to shine, but even after we have these kids they'll probably keep coming out of the wood works for a few months.

Sorry about your brother too Windy. I have family I actively avoid also, I moved far away with great intention of avoiding them. So if I ever run into them I will freak right tf out.

@wychets & @laurenmicheley super creepy. People are weird af. Also, hope things are well at the office Wychets.

@warmwinter so sorry about your kitten (animals are just always babies, even when a dog is 15 I'm like PUUUUPPPPY). Hopefully he has a speedy recovery!

  • I think my favorite S14 drama was like a month after we had our babies a rando we'd never heard from before popped in to survey the group about feeding HER ONE MONTH OLD BABY OREOS. AND THEN clutched her pearls when we were like "wtf....." so the on going joke is now we'll "oreo" someone out of something real fast.
