Re: June Symptoms

  • @name1109 definitely take it easy! I know us mamas don’t have time to lay around but you have to listen to your body. Rest.

  • @name1109 Yikes! I hope you are feeling better! Take it easy, mama; and rest up!
  • So not so much a symptom but an annoying pregnancy brain thing I’ve had with both my son  and this guy is that I get songs stuck in my head. And I’ll wake up with them at random hours of the night. And lately I’ve been listening to a lot of the Hamilton soundtrack. So it’ll be like 3am that I wake up and my brain is just like “uh oh! You made the wrong sucker a cuckold! So time to pay the price for the pants you unbuckled!” Such a bummer.
  • @surlyjaneausten That's annoying, but your post made me LOL.
  • The past day or two I have had this weird pain and I am wondering if it is BH contractions? I've noticed it happens a lot if I have a full bladder and pee, as soon as I stand up I get this cramping feeling in my uterus/pubic bone area and I feel like I need to just stand hunched over for a minute and then it goes away. Really not fun and I am not sure if it is BH or just pregnancy cramps or something I should ask my OB about
  • @bserena That sounds like the BH contractions that I have, except that mine are never painful or crampy. They happen when I have to pee or right after I pee (or have a BM or during sex/orgasm), or am active a lot, or am walking, or just randomly. If I touch my stomach I can feel my uterus tighten and I sometimes have to sort of pause what I'm doing while it passes. If it feels more crampy, you probably should check it through with your OB, and no matter what, you should check with your doc if you get several in an hour (different docs say 4 per hour or 6 per hour or various thresholds). Be sure too that you're doubling down on water intake!

  • @bserena I’d talk with your OB as @hedgepig mentioned. For me, I FAIL at drinking water. I almost had baby 3 super early because I wasn’t resting enough or drinking enough water. I’d pound water (normal amount for regular people...I just fail at it).

Sometimes my belly will suddenly feel super hard but I never thought about them being BH. Im a FTM so ive heard a about them but what exactly do they feel like? How long do they last? I just thought that my belly must be stretching to make room for baby😅 I also fail at drinking enough water so thanks for the reminders🙈
  • +1 for BH lately! I have tried to increase my water intake because I know sometimes that can cause them and I definitely had a couple days where I should have been drinking more water and was getting many Braxton Hicks contractions. They are definitely like an uncomfortable tightness/cramp and my lower abdomen feels rock hard when it happens.
