@becca07024411 Chances are very very low. The whole room went quiet at that ultrasound (there were a few docs and nurses) and my husband then goes “oh shit” 🤣. It was our first natural pregnancy in 1.5 years of trying, so we will never know if our baby was conceived through IVF or naturally- not that it matters. Fx for baby girl to be sticky and healthy!

@halfanewt FX you have good results today at your follicle and lining check.
@somewhereinnyc our embryos are not PGS tested, nor do we know the gender.

@halfanewt I'm hanging in there.... No positives yet which makes me doubt this cycle, **TW** I had a positive by now with my last FET 2 years ago that resulted in our daughter. So I start comparing, and the mind gets rolling. I've also had some spotting so just not sure what to think quite yet. I know it's still early as I'm 6dp5dt, but I was hoping to see something by now. Still hopeful and trying to keep a positive mindset.

@sfield21 - Following your progress closely because I am right behind you! Just did my frozen transfer this morning, my first time so that was quite an experience. I'm going to try not to test but we will see how bored/anxious I get in the next few days. We did not test our embryos either so crossing my fingers that all is health and I'm doing my own PIO shots as well. Husband is deathly afraid of needles...no wonder they leave this baby stuff to the strong women. Sending positive baby thoughts your way!!

@somewhereinnyc that is a great second beta! Tentatively a week from Monday, so the 22nd if everything looks good at my lining check on Tuesday. If we get the go ahead I will have to get Covid tested next Friday

AFM ... I think I’m out this month, 10dp5dt and still negative Tests, Beta is on Tuesday. **TW** I’m just not sure what to think or what our next steps will be. We didn’t do a fresh transfer and our very first FET resulted in our daughter. **. I had really high beta numbers, and a healthy almost perfect pregnancy... so of course we kind of hoped TTC #2 would be easy. So I don’t know what our next steps will be... more testing of some sort or just trying again next month with another FET? We have 11 embryos left with fairly good ratings but they are not PGS tested.

@sfield21 sorry to hear you are getting negatives. I'm surprised your beta is so long after transfer.

If you did the same protocol as your successful transfer that worked I am guessing they will have you do the same thing again.

Our first FET was a BFN (with a non tested embryo) and they did everything the same except they added what they call a "failed transfer protocol" that included an endo scratch, pepcid, and claritin in addition to the standard estradiol, PIO, prednisone, and doxycycline. I think for someone who is like <30ish with no egg quality issues the expected PGS normal embryos is like 65%ish, so as much as it sucks, it is likely it could have just been an abnormal embryo and the next one will most likely work. The second non tested embryo resulted in my son. Our 2nd retrieval yielded 9 or 10 day 5/6 embryos and only 50% were normal, so less than what would be expected for a 28 year old with male factor being the reason for ivf. If we didnt tests ours then statistically speaking, every other transfer would have been a BFN solely based on embryo quality. Not sure if that is helpful information or not.

@sfield21 I’m sorry about this cycle. seconding the previous post. They would probably just try another transfer.. likely an isolated issue with that embryo (which is good). The upside is you can go into another cycle fairly quickly if that’s the scenario.

Thank you ladies for the responses. It gives me hope moving forward. I feel like our TTC journey will be flipped upside down, but hopeful we can move forward with another transfer next month.

Lining check went well this morning with thickness being at a 9.8. If blood work comes back good I should be getting the call to come back Friday for my covid test and transfer on Monday. For my successful transfer my lining was at an 11, but I am trying not to read into it too much. Did everyone else have to get tested for corona before your transfer? They won't let me do it locally so I will have to drive 2 hours for the twenty second swab, bummer. They are still not allowing spouses in the surgery center to be there for transfer, but I pretty much already knew that would be the case.

@becca07024411 Fx for good blood work results for you! Just wanted to chime in about the corona testing. My clinic is not requiring it, but they are screening people (taking temperatures, doing a questionnaire about possible symptoms), and I think if there's any red flags from the screening, then you have to test for it. Also, spouses are also not allowed at any appointments or procedures at my clinic either!

I guess our doctor was very relaxed about the Corona virus. We didn't have to do any testing and my husband was allowed in the transfer Room.

No covid testing required by my clinic but they did screen for symptoms and temperature. No visitors were allowed at appts or the transfer.. crazy they won’t let you get the test done closer to you!

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful well wishes. Beta was negative as we expected. The Dr thinks it was an issue with the embryo and that it stopped developing after the transfer. We are going ahead with another transfer this month, which is exciting. I stopped meds yesterday and just waiting on my cycle and I think it’s starting tonight.

@sfield21 I'm sorry for the news although it was expected. Even though when getting negatives at home you know your beta will be negative, it is hard not to have just a tiny bit of hope remaining that you were wrong and it will come back positive. I think it took a couple days for CD1 after stopping meds for my first FET that was negative (and I cant remember if you have had a medicated cycle not work out before, but in my experience the cycle is usually heavier than normal, just FYI). Hopefully the time for your next transfer flies by, but I know those days usually feel like weeks and weeks feel like months

Just got the call to be at the office at 9:30 on Monday for a transfer! Woo! I was kinda hoping it would be a little later so we could have a relaxing morning at the house before traveling a couple hours away to the clinic, but oh well! Originally we were going go bring LO with us and get breakfast as a family beforehand, but since he usually doesn't wake up until 7:30 we will probably just leave him at home with the nanny.

My beta is first thing Monday morning. I haven't tested yet but I have a preg. test lurking under the bathroom sink taunting me to give it a try. I may cave in this weekend but I'm so close!

@becca07024411 - I might do it tomorrow. I'm hoping that I wouldn't need that pregnancy test after Monday anyway so might as well use it up. That's my illogical logic right now. Although I am pretty emotional right now so I might not be able to handle it if the test is negative tomorrow. I will let you guys know what happens. Oh the suspense.....

Just chiming in to say good luck to the ladies getting transfers and tests on Monday! Hoping for high betas @becca07024411 @dreamingofabump

yesterday I had an ultrasound and they saw the yolk sac (and I think fetal pole) at 5w2d. She said everything looks normal/ good. Next appointment w RE is a little after 7 weeks and if that goes well, she says I can move on to the OB.

I have had 2 prior transfers and each one was way more dramatic by this point.. with lots more tests and follow up etc. gonna be a long wait for the next ultrasound (which is when I should be able to hear the heartbeat)! My husband hasn’t been coming to these appts bc they ask for no visitors.. But I’m managing the emotional part ok I think..

@dreamingofabump I always test starting at like 5dp5dt. I mainly test at home so I can pick a time when I when I am mentally prepared to handle the news if it is negative instead of sitting on pins and needles all day waiting for a nurse to call. I guess it gives me at least little more control of something I have no control of, but 5dp may be a little early, lol!

@somewhereinnyc does you RE normally release patients at 7 weeks? For medicated cycles our RE keeps us until almost 12 weeks because the watch as they taper us off meds. Will your OB handle all that?

@becca07024411 Last time I was formally discharged at 8 weeks but saw her at 9 wks for peace of mind and then saw OB at 10 wks. I think most discharge by 10 but 7 did seem a little early. This is a natural cycle with nothing much to taper. Wonder if trying to minimize visits bc covid and all?

Although per the doctor, I am still two days early as this is day 12 after my transfer, they just called to say my test was positive! I am scheduled to go back in on Thursday to check HCG levels again. I believe she said I was at 510 HCG right now. Medication is staying the same so that makes me feel a little assured that everything is going good.

I will admit that I did cave and test on Saturday morning. It came back positive as well but I didn't want to get too excited too soon. It kind of still hasn't sunk in so still staying cautious for the next couple weeks until at least my Thursday check-up again.

My nurse called today and my transfer bloodwork from yesterday showed my progesterone to be 20, but they like to see it at 25, so they are having me my increase my PIO dosage from 1.5 to 2.0ml. Anyone else ever have to do this?

@becca07024411 I’ve heard of that for medicated cycles- I think that’s why they measure it.. Progesterone is the 1 hormone I’m on but it’s only 0.5ml.. they are checking it occasionally tho and would adjust if needed..

So *TW* but I’m pretty sure I’m out. Woke up to what I would probably call CD 1, but they said to keep taking the endometrium and come in for beta Friday anyway. Sigh.

Question - assuming Friday comes back negative, does CD 1 then count as today or as the day I stop progesterone?

I convinced myself it would be a good idea to take a test "so I could have a baseline negative test to compare against in a few days" and then there I was trying to hold it up to the light to see if I could see anything and googling if it was even possible to get a positive at 3dp5dt 🤦‍♀️🙈 I think I have officially reached an all time low. Lol. I know it is still early, but I am already feeling out. My first FET I had a suspicion it would be negative and it was. The second FET I just KNEW I was pg, like I had cramping different than I had every felt in my life I was so sure! This cycle I am feeling nothing just like the first

@becca07024411, please hang in there and think positive. Couple thoughts: an LH test ("opk") also picks up hCG, and for me, a 5dp5dt LH will be significantly darker than a day 4. I usually get a squinter on day 5, on a cheapie hCG test, but never before that.
I get a sharp pain in my lower abdomen 6 or 7 days after transfer, that lasts over a day. You got cramps a lot earlier? That's interesting.
