  • @BmcD2016 thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely ask them about Benadryl. I want to have a plan in case this happens again!

  • @JBcakes08 oh migraines are horrible. I'm so sorry your dealing with that and are in lots of pain. I hope it goes away soon and that you feel better.

Yes! I’m with @dobiemom11 - he’s doing it mostly so that he can play Call of Duty while having a few cocktails on his own without feeling bad since I’m not drinking. But he also wins some brownie points for putting in the effort, so I’m fine with it haha.
  • @shelmcclel. That made me laugh so much!  Our house it is rum and Cokes and World Of Warcraft!  Also by that point, I am overtired and crying.  I basically told him feel free to meet up with your buddies online any time.  I could probably use a nap whenever you are planning a group for.  They will be sad after this baby comes and he won't be able to play as much!
  • @shelmcclel @dobiemom11 For my H it’s whiskey and Madden! Haha he always thinks back fondly to the days he used to be able to play his game on the weekend mornings in his “man cave”.

  • @JBcakes08 migraines are awful! I’m so sorry you’re having one. I had one this last week and a cold washcloth on my forehead and the back of my neck always seems to help. I hope it’s gone now!

This week pregnancy insomnia started. I can’t fall asleep when I lay down because my mind just starts racing. This is one of my least favorite symptoms.

The nausea comes around at dinner time which means I haven’t cooked a lot. And I’m still exhausted. I had a multiple day migraine last week that was awful. I’m just not feeling great.
  • My bloody nose has really picked up...not that it's gushing blood, but my nose always feels congested and when I blow it's super bloody.
Also, last evening my heart palpitations were really bad and it was making me dizzy. While I was cooking dinner it really picked up, and during dinner. Right after I had to go lay on the couch with my feet up because I was feeling dizzy. After rest and chugging some water they went away. I really need to drink more water.

  • I hope this is just a fluke and maybe tied to my cold I’m getting over, but food aversions all of a sudden, wtf? I was really lucky as far as morning sickness goes, I still haven’t puked this time and overall very little queasiness compared to past pregnancies. Then yesterday and today I’ve had to spit out food that tasted funky to me. I opened the fridge to find something else and the smell hit me and I’ve decided I can’t eat right now. Wtf? 13.5 weeks and now the aversions are hitting?

@bearmomma1 that sounds so scary. Make sure to take plenty of breaks and sip that water while you’re at it!
  • @bearmomma1 I went through a week of especially awful palpitations a while back. It would happen when I laid down so I’d feel winded when I was trying to sleep. I got an EKG which was reassuring. They stink, I hope you feel better!

@BmcD2016 I also have a couple of random food aversions that are sticking around. I was grocery shopping the other day and saw some things that nearly set me off puking again! I thought that was supposed to be over 😩
  • The heart burn has seriously set in over here! And I sunburnt yesterday even though I was wearing spf 50! So weird for me I usually tan nice
  • @tryingktogku pregnancy makes your skin super sensitive to the sun. 🌞

  • @bearmomma1 I learnt that one the hard way!
  • Carpel tunnel has started. I have to dig out my braces.

Back pain...trying Tylenol but it's not working very well. It makes it uncomfortable to sleep on my back (cramps up), and it was already uncomfortable sleeping on my right side. Also stress dreams...last night I had a very graphic and vivid dream that I had a miscarriage

    Anyone felt the baby yet?
I thought I felt him today, a soft double tap inside my lower abdomen, but could be hallucinating.  I'm 14+4 and figured it would be a couple weeks still
  • @gh1219 I usually feel some flutters after I eat if I’m paying attention and sitting really still. I’m 14+2!
  • @gh1219 @laurenspdx same! 14+2 and deff feeling light flutters randomly when I’m very still paying attention!
  • @akoros have you tried a pregnancy pillow yet? It might be able to help you get into a comfy spot and stay their. I don't think we're supposed tobe sleeping on our backs after 13(?) Weeks anyhow.

  • Ive had the most killer headache since last night, which is making me nauseous. I’ve taken 2 naps today and have barely gotten off the couch.  I finally took some Tylenol. I hope it helps

  • @bearmomma1 I’ve been getting terrible headaches every few days too! Tylenol usually helps but I have to take the max the doctor suggested. I also keep finding it’s linked to hunger, I feel like I’m eating so much but clearly not 😩

Hope you feel better!! Get some rest!!

Y'all my boobs are starting to itch so bad 😭
  • Fri-Sat I had a 2-day long migraine level headache with nausea/vomiting. It’s definitely the worst I’ve felt for the longest period of time thus far. Woke up today feeling better - hoping it doesn’t come back!

Also I’m 13w5d and have also thought I felt a flutter or two but not entirely sure! It hasn’t been consistent enough.
  • I’ve had a lot more pressure early on than I did with DS. I wind up sitting and putting my feet up but does anyone else have pressure early? I don’t know if just from doing too much sometimes or more normal.
    DS born 2016
  • Anyone having really oddly specific aversions? For some reason there are these Brazilian cheese bites that my SO really likes and I just cannot handle them. Even the smell gets to me. He just made some and I threw up for the first time in weeks. They’re like the only thing that does that to me though. So weird...
  • @laurenspdx roasted corn pop corn from aldi's.  I can't stand the smell of it...

@laurenspdx The latest is crab, or maybe just pungent seafood/shellfish. At first I thought it was just my cat's food (which I usually find revolting anyway), but over the weekend I made crab cakes and could barely eat them. Husband's happy, means he gets to eat more crab cakes since I won't touch the leftovers. I made fish stew last night that went fine, though that mostly tasted of tomatoes (and lots of bread for dipping).

@babymakes9 No, not yet. I'm a bit paranoid/superstitious and refuse to order any maternity stuff until after my NIPT/NT scan results, so as long as I get past those I'll be ordering one this week. I know several have mentioned the Snoogle, but does anyone have thoughts on this one?: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5SMJQJ. Aside from the price, I like that the one side is removable, since that seems more versatile.
  • Oooh get a pregnancy pillow! It's so comfortable. I've been using mine for at least two weeks already and I'm sleeping so much better.
  • I second the pregnancy pillow. I have an L shaped one and I love it 🥰 I had bought a U shaped one, but it wasn’t comfortable for me. My husband actually tried it out and decided to keep it for himself 🤣 He has some joint issues from old sports injuries, so it’s helping him sleep better and with less pain. I have chronic back and hip pain, so the pillow helps me stay aligned and comfy so I can sleep.

Thanks, @dreamscapes_ ! I was wondering about U- vs. L-shaped, which is another reason I'm leaning towards the pillow I found so I can get both in one.
  • @akoros mine is shaped like a big coil.

  • @akoros Mine is kind of shaped like a C. I like that I can curl it up and bring the sides together almost like a circle. I also like that I can roll over without moving the pillow (since there is support on both sides).
  • Is anyone else super itchy? I’m itchy on my scalp, legs, arms, everywhere! It’s driving me nuts. It’s not super bad but I feel like I’m constantly scratching somewhere.
  • akorosakoros member
@jacmkelley I bought a back scratcher. I'm not as itchy all over as I was the other week, but my back (and chest) is still pretty itchy.
  • @jacmkelley ooh I am. I've been super itchy everywhere lately especially on my legs and scalp.
  • gh1219gh1219 member
... and in just over a single week I've gained almost 3 pounds bringing me back up to my prepregnancy weight.  Missed you appetite, glad you're back ❤

@jacmkelley Oh gosh, yes! My legs and scalp especially. I’m sure I look like a mad man trying to rub the itch away haha.
  • Still having days where trying to do anything is a struggle, woke up today went for a 5km walk then almost had to instantly nap for two hours and it’s almost 4pm and I’m still sitting on my couch in a robe band it’s like 30 and sunny outside and I feel like I should be outside but I can’t even bring myself to get off the couch lol
