@tryingktogku you walked! That’s enough for the day - I end up with a full couch day approx 1 day a week- you’re doing what’s best for you today, don’t feel guilty about it one bit!

So last week I had a bleed in my uterus which was scary But all ended up being okay. I’ve been on modified bed rest. I had some very mild but continuous menstrual type cramping with it and that has stopped. So has the spotting. Still resting just in case.

what I have now though is a very dull pressure type feeling in what I feel like might be my cervix area. like it’s up in there but not as high as my uterus. It just randomly happens. I assume it’s normal, but it’s a new feeling.
  • @shelmcclel thanks I needed to hear that! And it can be scary feeling anything new when you’ve had something happen already! When is your next ultrasound? Are you using a home doppler? These things will re assure you!

  • @jacmkelley Yes! Weirdly the backs of my calves have been crazy itchy for weeks!
  • Eyelashes are super long but my hair is falling out of my head in large clumps daily.

  • @JBcakes08 Did you ever have your thyroid checked since you’ve been pregnant? That was a sign mine was out of whack with DS. Meds usually fix it fairly easily in pregnancy.

  • @jbal918 thanks for the suggestion! I’m actually already on medication for low thyroid and my levels were checked after my first ultrasound. This is my 3rd pregnancy in 3 years and I think my hormones are just losing it.

  • I’ve officially joined the dizzy and light headed symptom group. At work today I literally  almost passed out, got all hot and flushed and started to get blurred vision so I sat down  and one of my co workers took my blood pressure and it was like 80/40 after sitting for a while and drinking a lite of water I felt better but man that sucked
  • @tryingktogku oh no! That’s scary. I’ve totally been there. That literally happened to me at work also and it was so weird and scary. Sorry that happened. Hope your feeling better.

@tryingktogku I was definitely surprised when I vasovagaled while talking to my neighbor outside the other day.  Definitely wasn't drinking enough water out in the heat.  Had to fetal position on the floor.  I'm going back to operating this week and have been anxious about tolerating the long surgeries, but I figure we'd all rather I scrub out and pee a few times from drinking lots of water than pass out midway.  Totally sucks, so sorry!!
  • @tryingktogku I feel you! I had a burst of energy one morning last weekend and cleaned the whole house...and then spent the entire remainder of the day on the couch exhausted beyond measure!
  • @JBcakes08 My hair started doing the same so I’m going to ask my OB or MFM to run in again

  • @mindyb2019 @cassafrass15 @gh1219 glad I’m not the only one! I’m just lucky I wasn’t in the middle of doing something hands on with a patient! In retrospect I think it was because I was over heating under all the PPE as I was going to care for a patient as I had ate and drank a ton of water already! Crazy what pregnancy does to our bodies
  • @tryingktogku how far along are you? I thought last night I was feeling babe! But I’m still not sure if it’s just gas or not. You’d think I would know as this is my second, but 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • @bearmomma1 15+5! I think where baby is makes a big difference! I know mine is like right at the front on the last few ultrasounds so that makes it easier to feel rather than if your placenta is in the front! But it was definitely baby because I could feel it on the outside with my hands too lol I thought I was feeling things before but not sure but this was unmistakable! I ate a sour Granny Smith Apple and I guess baby liked it lol

Ugh, so groggy today. And I think I have another headache? It's sort of there, sort of not, but pretty sure if I were to tense up or strain it'll be there.

Also totally jammed my index finger yesterday helping my nephew in a tube. Swelling is going down, and not as sore as yesterday, but still pretty chubby and painful. At least I can type?
  • Periodic nausea, sciatica issues, heartburn, and exhaustion.  But issues have declined as I get deeper into 2nd trimester.  I think I'm also getting a small bump.

I sent a pic to my best friend earlier this week and she said it was tiny but precious lol
  • @akoros My headaches have been like that, there but not there? Lingering. Except today where it manifested as a full blown migraine. I had to break down and drink a Pepsi, and take Tylenol, just to kick it. Hope your finger feels better quickly!
  • I get random sharp pains in my uterus every now and then and it always worries me but it happened today then I felt baby move right after lol so I wonder if it’s just still the stretching of ligaments?
  • akorosakoros member
My abs feel exhausted. I went kayaking and then just feel so sore (despite the fact I'm not doing much physical stuff). I guess that means they're stretching?
  • Anyone else experiencing an increase in nausea?? Nearly 14 weeks and it’s just gotten worse! I was symptom free with my first baby but I’ve been experiencing everything with this one!
  • @nolsol11. I have been pretty sick the whole time, but experiencing more heartburn and nausea this past week (14 weeks as well).  The actual throwing up has decreased but this almost feels worse.
  • My sciatic nerve is definitely hurting. Cleaning the house earlier was a b*tch because it hurt so much!

  • Last night I woke up in the middle of the night like 1am with sudden sharp/stabbing pains in my adomen and parts in my lower back. It was on my right side. Kinda hurt and was really uncomfortable and lasted about 15 mins or so. I couldn't sleep. Does anyone know what that would be? Round ligament pain I'm guessing??

I think I'm getting ulnar nerve entrapment (Guyon's or cubital tunnel syndrome?), basically the opposite of carpal tunnel. I constantly walk up with the outer part of my hands (ring & pinky finger) tingling/numb. Was going to come here and ask if anyone else's hands are falling asleep, but then I Googled it and I guess it's not uncommon.

Edit: more Googling. Going to guess it's cubital, since I sleep with one hand under my head and the other next to my face. Numbness goes away when I straighten my arms. Weird.
  • @akoros I'm dealing with carpel tunnel. So annoying! Would a brace help when you sleep? Or is that only for carpel tunnel? I dont know much about cubical tunnel to be honest.
  • @akoros I’ve been getting that for the last couple years, even when I wasn’t pregnant. It’s super annoying - even if I just sit with my arms bent for a while (like right now, sitting typing on my phone), my pinky and half my ring finger go numb. It’s messed with the way I sleep too, since I’m a side sleeper and bend my arms. I found that getting a big body pillow to hug helped - it allows me to still have my arms bent but not at as extreme an angle. When I put an arm under my head, I just have to straighten it as much as I can (which means I usually sneak my arm under my SO’s pillow...).

@nmadjeski Not sure, I do have a carpal tunnel brace (though only one) that I can try. Usually doesn't bother me, but a year or so ago I noticed it getting aggravated when I slept (mostly because I was contorting my wrist underneath me)

@laurenspdx Good idea on the pillow, I hugged an extra pillow while napping over the weekend and didn't have any problems
