May Symptoms

Re: May Symptoms

  • @bearmomma1 I feel the exact same way as far as sleep. I cannot get enough sleep. I don’t remember being this tired with my first 2, I am like down for the count at this point. I’m 10 weeks and seriously can’t wait to be out of the first trimester.

  • @the_road_to_oz omg 20 times? Wow I'm so sorry your going through that and are at the ER. I hope you feel better soon you poor thing.

@bearmomma1 I feel ya on the headaches for the past few days.
  • @mindyb2019 yes i barely get out of bed but when i do i almost faint. Super low blood pressure. Brilliant explanation @gh1219.

@the_road_to_oz so sorry to hear about your hg. I cant even... begin to understand what youre going through. I feel defeated after just 2 pukes a day.

I'm 11 weeks and my nausea definitely has been even worse again this past week. More vomiting than before. So ready for this trimester to be behind us...
  • @the_road_to_oz chin up, you’re doing a great job. You just focus on getting better. Glad to hear it’s probably not HG!
  • @the_road_to_oz. You are so amazing!!  All I can say is that I also ate a half a cheesy bread for dinner last night and had no excuse!  I also told baby and husband that I will try to do better today as well. Hopefully you will start feeling better soon and this is an isolated incident.
  • @the_road_to_oz omg you poor thing. What a horrible day/night you had. Hang in there girl. Your a rockstar mama. Your doing what you need to get better and thats all that matters. I hope you feel better soon  ❤ Take it one day at a time.
  • @mindyb2019 it only happened in the first tri for me. I just got really careful when I was standing up or picking something up and made sure I had something to grab onto if needed.

@the_road_to_oz, all I can say is, holy crap, woman. I'm so sorry you're going through all of that, I can't imagine. Like @mindyb2019 said, you're a rockstar and doing just fine, don't be sorry.
  • @the_road_to_oz gosh girl that's a whirlwind. You seriously are a rockstar! I hope you start to feel better asap!!
  • @the_road_to_oz Oh no! So sorry to hear about your ordeal! And you ARE doing great. Every day you make it through, you have a big win. It’ll get easier soon, and that’s when you can focus more on the healthy eating and all that, but for now be kind to yourself!
  • @the_road_to_oz oh my goodness! Rest up and heal up! Even if your sick try your best to keep fluids ups! To prevent another UTI in the future! Have u tried ginger or peppermint tea? Usually helps with nausea and is hydrating!
  • @the_road_to_oz I am so sorry you’re going through this! I’m so glad you were treated at the ER and I hope that infection goes away ASAP.

This exhaustion is no joke. I can’t wait for the 1st trimester to be over. There is nothing like pregnancy exhaustion. I will take newborn tired any day over pregnancy tired.
  • @antera23 Glad to hear that because everyone keeps telling me if you think you’re tired now just wait till the newborn phase comes and I keep thinking there’s no way I can be MORE tired
  • @tryingktogku I hate when people say that especially when you are a FTM. Why do people always try to say things that aren’t encouraging?! It was so frustrating when I was pregnant with my first, I stopped telling certain people how I was doing because of their comments. Also, it was usually men..
  • @jackieshan84 omg twins? Yay. Congratulations ❤️ that’s exciting.

Add me to the extremely tired/fatigue train. Omg this last week but especially today I’m sooo tired and exhausted. Last night I went to bed at 930pm as I was falling asleep at 8:45 and got up today ate breakfast and 3 hours later was tired so I had a nap. Got up for a bit and did some things out and about, had lunch and was tired again so had another nap lol. I literally have no energy to do anything. This is brutal.
  • I totally agree on preferring newborn tired to pregnant tired. Especially that 3rd trimester insomnia. It is just such a different tired.

I truly enjoy when a man tells me “oh, just wait” in response to my tiredness. Lol. The guys at work are the worst.
  • Has anyone else noticed crazy blue veins popping up? I got out of the shower today and looked at the top of my chest in the mirror and it was crazy looking! I’m pretty fair skinned so I can usually see some veins but it was like looking at someone with translucent skin. Kind of cool to see the evidence of my circulatory system working extra hard but also totally weird looking.

    Apparently very normal though.
  • @laurenspdx yep! Looks like a roadmap all over my chest.
  • @tryingktogku that seems like people’s favorite comment. It always rubs me the wrong way.

Sorry for the double post today but I’m wondering if anyone else has this symptom. Certain foods create excess mucous at the back of my throat which then makes me gag and then throw up. Anyone else have that symptom?
  • @laurenspdx YES! Same for me, always right after shower too.

    Also, still tired.
  • @antera23 I get some excess mucus and flem in the back of my throat once in a while and it makes me gag alot at night before I go to sleep or in the mornings after I eat. I don't ever throw up though. I cant say if its certain foods or not but it does happen for me here and there.
  • @antera23 That happens to me even in normal life. Usually it’s too much dairy and not enough water that does it.
  • @laurenspdx I never had it happen to me before except when I was sick or my allergies were really bad. It was rare. Then pregnancy happened and it happened a lot after! I don’t like it.
@mindyb2019 I’m sorry you have it too!
  • Ok does anyone else have this weird symptom? My scalp has become sooo itchy. Especially at night when I'm laying down to go to sleep. I just scratch and scratch.
  • bkinn26bkinn26 member
@mindyb2019 yes! My scalp is SO dry and my hair is falling out a bunch too. I have Hashimoto's thyroid issues, so we've kept an eye on all that and it's good and not the cause but oh my goodness! I can't stand the dry scalp!!!

@the_road_to_oz wow! I hope you begin to feel better and get through those meds swiftly!!
  • @mindyb2019 yes I had to shift my normal hair care products as my prepregnancy stuff has no longer cutting it.

@antera23 I’m dealing with that same disgusting drainage, I’m getting about 75 ounces of water drank a day and still dealing with it. Hot tea might help both soothe it and thin it. Pretty warm shower plus hot tea before bed might help. I think chamomile is pregnancy safe.
  • @stella_700 @bkinn26 thanks ladies. glad to know I’m not alone with the itchy scalp. Lol. My scalp is so dry too. It’s rather annoying. Maybe I need to look into changing my shampoo or hair products.

@mindyb2019 Not my scalp, specifically, I'm just itchy everywhere. Particularly my boobs and the middle of my back (so, places that are either extremely awkward or difficult to scratch), though my head is itchy too. Today I've actually been debating ordering a back scratcher from Amazon.
  • @akoros itchy boobs means their growing! (And in my experience leads to stretch marks) when they get itchy put stretch mark cream on them.  Probably same thing going on in your back.  I keep a tube of it by my bed,  even after several pregnancies I keep getting more!

@babymakes9 Good to know, thank you! Last time I had some itchiness, but it was often acne. While my face and shoulders have tons of zits, I haven't felt any on my back just yet (and definitely not on my chest)
  • I love food and have no problem eating anything however, I'm always hungry so I'll eat and then every time after I eat meals i feel sick and nauseous like I want to throw up but never ever do :( Anyone else have this? I only feel nauseous after I eat thats it.

If you have an itchy scalp, trying washing with dawn dish soap! Sounds crazy, I know! I do it for my eczema that’s on my head and it really helps!

So I was craving dips yesterday and tonight my mom made some dips for me but now I’m nauseated and nothing sounds good lol can’t win

@mindyb2019 I feel like I don't have the normal sensations of "hungry" and "full" anymore, it's just nausea. If I haven't eaten recently I assume that means I'm hungry, if I've just eaten I assume that means I'm full.
  • @mindyb2019 I have had that with both my last pregnancy and this one. My last pregnancy it would start as soon as I started eating and sometimes I could only eat a few bites before having to stop. It lasted until 14/15 weeks. This time I get nauseous as soon as I stop eating, either to be done eating or to grab something, or whatever and then I can’t start eating again. I’m 9+2 and it’s still going strong.
  • @mindyb2019. I am on the nasuea all the time train similar to what @akoros described.  One thing that I think helps though is just eating really small meals.  I have been eating a half sandwich or a kids meal.  I am still hungry but then eat the other half like an hour later.  My stomach does better with a little bit at a time rather than going from hungry to super full.  I actually have my husband divide my normal dinner in half for me before I even sit down.  That way I am not tempted to go crazy especially when something is suddenly like the best thing I have ever eaten (which seems to be most things now!).  Maybe that would help.

@dobiemom11 Agree on the smaller meals, as well as eating more slowly. Hard for me since I usually devour my food quickly (which is bad, I know)
