Re: May Symptoms

  • My newest symptoms is heart palpitations. This happened to me last time, but didn’t start until around 16 weeks I think, and it was usually when I hadn’t drunken enough water or over exerted myself.

    @bearmomma1 I get those too! I hadn’t thought they could be tied to dehydration but I’ll be looking for that now.

    My nausea was gone earlier this week - to the point that I actually in for a check because I was worried. But it is back today in monster force. I can’t keep anything down and I am constantly just trying to not run to the toilet.

    I also have a crazy headache and sobbed for no reason for about an hour earlier. So, happy those hormones are definitely going strong. I’m 8w2d so I’m likely entering the peak couple weeks.

  • Headaches, breast soreness, slight nausea, and major exhaustion
  • Still just tired and bigger/slightly sore boobs. Considering myself very lucky. Hugs to those of you who have it worse!
  • Headache, exhaustion, and nausea with frequent burping! That is normal for me, but only during pregnancy though. I don’t usually throw up, but I burp like crazy. It is a dead giveaway that I’m pregnant. Does anyone else have that, or is it just me?

    Super tired, constipation and sore boobs. The other symptoms like getting sick have stopped which is what made me so nervous but I’m still trying to remind myself that this is different from DS.

  • The nausea comes and goes for me and the boobs are bigger than ever and very sensitive but the newest most annoying symptom is this stupid headache I have right now. That with the exhaustion and raging hormones makes me want to cry so I’m gonna go down for a nap today while I still can because I work 40 hours in the next three days!

    We stayed up until midnight last night playing games with friends via zoom and I’m paying for it today.  I’m exhausted and feel hungover.

  • @bearmomma1 this happens to me too and its so freaky! I recall that it did happen with my daughter too, but later on, like you said.

    I have nausea that comes and goes every few days...its so odd. Some days I will feel really really sick and the next day I feel good enough to go on a jog! Does this happen to anyone else?

  • @laurenspdx YUP! Same here. My nausea was really bad last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday....then disappeared for a while. Then came back this morning! Its the same thing with my sore boobs. They dont feel as full anymore, but I am wondering if my symptoms just fluctuate a lot?

    I have terrible nausea and I've had it since about week 5. It's worst when I first wake up and that last several hours before it finally subsides I don't know what to do but it's driving me crazy to have to deal with this every single day.

    I have sore boobs and they are slightly bigger already but that can mostly be alleviated as long as I don't sleep on my stomach which is hard because I've always been the stomach sleeper.

    Sometimes I get random headaches but I have medical grade peppermint oil that I smell when I get headaches and they instantly go away.

    Oh I also haven't been pooping regularly so that kind of sucks.

    I understand this I need to go to sleep as soon as I am tired of I don't I'm going to feel like crap the next day no matter how long I sleep!

    @readermom1

    You're not alone! I burp alot! But to be fair I'm just gassy in general.
  • @readermom1 Yup! I burp so much! It’s the only thing that can make me feel better sometimes though.
  • @readermom1 same! I’d much rather burp than vomit too lol
  • Hi moms!

    I'm 8 weeks 3 days with my first pregnancy. I have nausea, but no vomiting. Before getting pregnant I ate very healthy, but this first trimester nausea is making that soooo difficult.

    Any tasty, healthy food options out there that works with your nausea?
  • maisasmaisas member
    @dana_lynn are you having trouble eating at all? I have nausea nearly all day but just eating seems to help. Sometimes I can only stomach mashed potatoes, but it helps me keep something in my stomach which helps ease the nausea.

    I think I'm mostly feeling bad because it's hard to eat anything! But I do feel better if I can eat a bit. So if you can stomach anything honestly it will help. It's not healthy but ice cream helps a lot too. I've been reading cold things in general may help ease nausea. For something healthy maybe cold slices of apples?
  • I.am.so.sick. I have medication and it helps me keep stuff down. It just doesn’t take away all the nausea.
    Does anyone have any tips or ideas for what to do when drinking water makes you nauseous? I’m having a really hard time drinking water and I’m not peeing often at all which makes me worried.
  • @antera23 maybe try lemon water? Or fizzy water? The only water I’m consuming right now is fizzy water..sometimes with Mio flavoring, sometimes plain. But I cannot drink plain ol’ water right now.

  • For me right now all I have is mild sore boobs and on and off bloat. I feel totally fine besides that. I feel very lucky to not feel sick or tired much.

    @bearmomma1 I love fizzy/carbonated flavoured water. That’s all I drink at my house. :)
  • @readermom1 burping all time over here! Literally

    @antera23 im in the same boat. I act like my one job is to keep down water and i fail at it. My only consolation is that it was the same last pregnancy and babe was fine. I used to stare at the clock and take a tiny sip every 15 min so i wouldn't puke.

    That being said, after 1st trimester and nausea were done, it was very important for me to drink a lot of water because if i didn't i started to feel crampy contractions. For me the 1st trimester is just survival. Later on it does matter what you eat and drink.
  • My symptoms: Sore breasts, tiredness, awfully hungry all the time, and I've been spotting for a week now.
  • @antera23 sprite or ginger ale to prime your stomach and then follow it up with some water? Or a ginger tea?
  • @maisas thanks for the reply! Yes, I'm eating very small portions frequently.

    I find it's worse if I wait until I'm hungry. Thank you for the suggestions!
  • @bearmomma1 I got some fizzy water at the store so I’m going to try that!
    @laurenspdx isn’t that the truth!! :lol: when I was pregnant with my son that’s how I would describe how I felt. A very long hangover :lol:
    @jelososhervy oh gosh that’s exactly what I’m doing. I hope it gets better for you soon!
    @BmcD2016 ginger ale has helped! Thank you!
  • feeling tired still. And some days I will feel like eating and others I just don't care for food, but my nausea went away.  I am feeling extremely emotional!! Like today at work I felt homesick and just wanted to go home and see my boys and started to cry. That has never happened to me!!
  • Feeling nauseous all day long. Starts as soon as I wake up and lasts till night. I try to work out every evening and it seems to help to get my heart rate up and sweat a little but then it comes back when I'm done. I had no nausea for my first pregnancy, and very little with my second so this is new for me. I also wonder if i'm just more conscious of it since i'm wfh instead of my other pregnancies when i was on the move more and commuting. No throwing up just a constant upset stomach and sore boobs. I just ordered the motion sickness bands - hope they help. Anyone have luck with those?
    I usually drink a lot of water but like many of you it's now making me a little more nauseous. I did find that ginger ale, sparkling lime and lemon water seem to help. And OJ.
  • My doctor recommended Unisom and B6 for nausea.  It seems to be helping a little bit, but I am still not hungry.  So far I have lost 16 lbs, so I am interested in hearing what my doctor thinks about that.  Another interesting thing is with less nausea, there isnt really a warning before I throw up.  My heartburn seems to get worse right beforehand, but nothing makes me think I need to throw up.  Until I am.  Fun times over here!
  • Seeing anything baby and pregnancy related is making me cry (ie Huggies diaper commercial) and I am NOT a crier lol

  • @bearmomma1. Thank you so much for the hope!  I keep telling myself only a few more weeks and you totally got this!  Happy that you are starting to feel better.
  • I just got hit with the nausea this week at 5w3d. I had it from the time I woke up until after I went to bed the past 3 days, but seem a little better so far today. I am just caught off guard by it because I had no nausea whatsoever with my last pregnancy! Drinking water has been awful but I discovered last night that with a little splash of lemonade I was finally able to drink without a problem! Eating has been very tough, but saltines, ginger snap cookies, and French fries have been okay for me. For those of you that have dealt with this before, should I expect the nausea to get worse before it gets better? Or once it’s here is it kind of like... this is what it’s gonna be like for a while?

    I took a 3.5 hour nap yesterday and still fell asleep at 10:30 for the night. 😴🥱😴🥱

  • Symptoms have been more fierce this week (8 weeks today).  So tired all day.  Stood up to make my lunch and got a strong urge to puke but held it together to make my sandwich, eating eased it.

    @bearmomma1 you're giving me hope

    I've had a horrible week.  Tired, headaches, food aversions, nausea is worse and seemed to have moved from "belly nausea" to "back of my throat nausea" which makes me feel like I need to run to vomit all the time.  I have yet to actually throw up though.  I figure that I could make myself throw up and see if that makes me feel better, but it's so hard to eat anything that I just want to hold onto all my food as much as I can.
    I am so hopeful that this is the worst of it and it will start to get better soon!  (9+2 now)
