Re: April Symptoms

  • @mindyb2019
Me! It seems like it’s either one or the other - diarrhea or constipation. I’m trying to notice what foods make it worse but the list of what I can eat that doesn’t gross me out is ever shrinking. Feel better!

  • So for me I've had days were I feel like I'm gonna die straight up. Im underweight and the nausea keeps me in bed all day and I can barely eat or drink. So I get super scared when I can't eat and lose weight but I try to remind myself it was like this the first time too and I just need to wait it out.

@mindyb2019 I wrote in an earlier post that I was having diarrhoea too, it was my constant until the vomiting started. As to why after dinner, check if you might be eating something a bit fatty as someone mentioned earlier as well.

My literal biggest fear for this pregnancy is something I had a few times in my last and it is trapped gas. It literally hurt more than labour. I didn't know of simethicone back then so I just suffered but now I'm prepared and hopefully if it happens, these pills will help. For anyone who could maybe use the tip- hoping you won't need it.
  • @lindsey61811 it must be contagious, except it's hubs who has been the raging bitch over here.

  • @lindsey61811 Omg I’ve been moody AF and terrorizing my poor DH.
  • I just went into the kitchen crying and told my husband that I don't like Mondays.  He just gave me a look, because I am not currently working.  Monday is like every other day.  I told him it was because my napping buddy had to work today.  Good save maybe?  I guess overly sad is more my mood than angry.
  • @cassafrass15 It’s terrible. Everything everyone does is irritating me.

  • I had some weird pains on the left side of my pelvis yesterday and along with all my other symptoms gone, I’m officially in freak out mode. I’m waiting for my dr to open so I can call.

  • @jbal918 hopefully they can get you in to put your mind at ease ❤️
  • I’m tired, so tired. I get nauseous randomly and definitely crying more than usual at movies, my son getting older, etc.

@jbal918 I had similar experience with my first. They did see me earlier after I called multiple times crying. It ended up being fine but the reassurance was definitely needed. Fx they can get you in early and everything is perfect!

    Hi Everyone!
I am currently 6w 3d and for the past week and half I have felt so sick. I just feel a little nauseous and sick to my stomach most of time. Not a huge appetite right now.  I have no energy at all! I want to take naps in the middle of the day. This is VERY different from what I experienced with my first two. Anyone else had these symptoms?
  • @jbal918 Sounds like round ligament pains! I've been getting those here and there..mostly when I'm laying down and turn over, or stand up after sitting in a weird position.

@lindsaym2106 Yes if I could take 3 naps a day I would be so happy. I currently am at 1, while my DD takes her nap, and maybe another I've I'm sitting on the couch and she's playing quietly.

  • So far at 6w tired, super sore boobs and moody, and some rlp pains. This is my 4th and I’ve never had the nausea so praying that continues!
  • Thanks ladies! My OB isn’t in until 2:30 today because it’s his late night but I’m praying he says to come in. Just for peace of mind for sure!

  • @jbal918 thinking of you! Keep us updated!
  • @jbal918 I feel you. I’ve been in freak out mode as well. All of my symptoms that I had have totally gone as well. I feel like I have nothing anymore and I was feeling tired before a week ago and having a hard time keeping my eyes open but now I don’t feel tired at all which worries me :( I’m up till like 11pm and I’m still not tired and I no longer need naps. I called my doc today but he can’t see me as he’s booked up and so I have an appt for tomorrow. I hope all is ok for both of us.
  • 6w1d and I notice an increased appetite but no severe food aversions. The smell of meat grosses me out but I've never been a fan of meat to begin with so it's kinda normal. I haven't been nauseous at all which in hoping doesn't happen, but what's been the biggest struggle for me is how exhausted I get around 11-3 and this brain fog/lack of motivation affecting my work. I'm a software project manager so I need to be on top of things but lately I'm finding it SO hard to give a shit lol.
  • Has anyone else had extreme dizziness? It’s not nausea, it’s just that when I’m up and about, the world starts spinning. This has been happening for a few days. It might just be my insane sleep schedule (DH and I are both furloughed), but it’s starting to drive me crazy.

  • @dreamscapes_ my last pregnancy I was so dizzy the whole time. My doctor suggested antihistamines which I noticed no difference with.
  • @dreamscapes_ this was my first symptom!!  Definitely having dizziness.  I notice mine is orthostatic most of the time, so I've found that getting up slowly from sitting or lying down is helpful. I've also tried to increase my water intake and keep a glass of water on my side table to sip on throughout the night and in the morning before I get up.
  • @BmcD2016 I don’t see the doctor until the 13th, but if this keeps happening, I’ll definitely have to bring it up to her. I don’t feel comfortable driving ☹️

@gh1219 I’ve got a giant 40oz cup that I’ve been using to drink out of, and have had the occasional Gatorade. The dizziness definitely tends to happen when I’m moving around or when I first stand up. When I took a shower earlier, DH had to help me get out because I felt so dizzy.

  • @dreamscapes_ when I first found out I was pregnant all I was having was alot of headaches and dizziness like everyday. This went on for about a week or so and now it's totally gone. I haven't had any dizziness now. I hope yours subsides.
  • @dreamscapes_ I would get so dizzy driving and it was scary to change lanes. It would also just hit in the middle of walking and there is no way I could look over my shoulder if someone called out to me while walking. Pretty immediately after delivery it was gone, so that was awesome.
  • @mindyb2019 My doctor assured me that disappearing symptoms aren’t the be all all end all! I’m thinking of you!

  • @jbal918 ok good to hear. Thank you
  • So glad to hear @jbal918! Hope you can find some calm and continue to feel better!
  • Anyone else’s sex drive plummeted? Between the nausea and bloating and gas I hardly feel up to DTD and Poor DH is like what the heck because we are usually very active!
  • @tryingktogku ooh mine! Lol I haven't been really wanting to DTD either and I feel fine lol.
  • @tryingktogku lol we haven’t done it since we conceived and we were just getting back into a good groove again after DD. Once we found out I was pregnant my H said “darnit, we’re probably never having sex again huh?” Haha I said wait till the 2nd tri.

@dreamscapes_ I’ve been super dizzy! Mostly when I first stand up, but also when I’m just up and about.

  • @mindyb2019 @bearmomma1 omg I’m glad I’m not the only one! I feel bad for DH because it is very out of character for me lol
  • @tryingktogku Me too! No desire at all, which is ok because I’m on pelvic rest for the near future anyway. I feel so bad for my fiancé because it’s been weeks and we usually have a pretty active sex life. Hoping it comes back when we’re cleared to dtd again.
  • Well... I am officially throwing up already. Uggggh.
Just a PSA - if you are struggling with really bad morning sickness, you can buy these bags from walmart or Amazon. They have prevented me from needing to clean my car or the floor more than once.
Debating if I should call my OB yet - I had HG last time and it was awful. Hoping this is just normal morning sickness.
Anyone have any morning sickness tips? I bought the drops (pink stork, not Preggy pops, because I can't have those due to an allergy)
Already doing b6. I haven't added unisom because I am already so tired.
    Do the sea bands work?

  • Oh hey, morning sickness, how (un)kind of you to show up...on a super-busy day when I'd finally gotten myself up for moving my lazy a** and working out. Oh well. I was super lucky last time and barely had any nausea, was hoping it'd be the same this time.

@the_road_to_oz for my last pregnancies I did a mix of B6, sea-bands, preggie pops and lots of citrus. I use the sea bands also for motion sickness. I was surprised how well they worked for morning sickness. I totally forgot so, thank you for reminding me! I’m going to start wearing them again.

@the_road_to_oz I feel for you! I’ve officially thrown up every day for over three weeks now 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’ve found that the advice to eat a little every few hours is the most helpful. I have to avoid getting to the point where I’m hungry because by then I’ll be nauseous and won’t want to eat and it will be a vicious cycle. I’ve been much better at remembering to eat a snack even when I’m not hungry and that’s helped. The B6 has also helped a lot, and I drink a lot of OJ and eat citrusy fruits. I also have ginger chews to gnaw on if I feel it coming on. Good luck! I hope it doesn’t get too bad for you!!
  • @the_road_to_oz. I had a whole bunch of awesome ideas to give you.  Never wrote the post and spent the afternoon throwing up.  So my advice might be invalid now.  But @jchpg and @laurenspdx sound like their advice seems helpful.

@akoros I had a similar day.  Was finally
going to kick some house booty and then just tagged out today.
  • I hope you guys all get some relief from the puking! 💖

  • Am I the only weirdo here right now that doesnt feel tired at all anymore? I was a week ago and now its completely gone or soo low that I dont notice it at all. Is this normal in early pregnancy? should I be worried? I feel totally normal and fine. Maybe it's still too early yet and will come once I'm farther along. 🤷‍♀️ I'm trying not to stress.
