April Symptoms

Re: April Symptoms

  • So I’m still very early in (3w4d) but my first symptoms were very similar to last time - all of the sudden I had to pee every 20 minutes! Also, my breasts felt “heavier” which really hasn’t happened before my period since my last pregnancy - I used to have that every month but since having my son (who is still breastfeeding” they don’t really get that full feeling anymore, so that was different!

I’ve had headaches for the past 2-3 days as well. I get frequent migraines all the time (a couple times a week at least!) but last pregnancy they went away almost completely which was wonderful! I really hope it’s just from trying to wean off of caffeine, and not going to be a long-term thing this time around!

  • Yall might think im crazy..  Just tried something new for nausea: smelling isopropyl alcohol swabs.  When I was donating blood ten years ago I passed out and the nurse woke me up by wafting a swab under my nose.  Now we use it in patients with N/V after trials came out showing effectiveness over Zofran.  My nausea has gotten so bad this week I asked MH to bring some home and this morning I felt much better after opening one and fanning it under my nose for a minute until it dried up.  Just a thought for anyone who is suffering debilitating nausea!!
  • @gh1219 that’s what they have done during my c-sections when I get nauseated and I didn’t even think to try it for MS. I don’t even know if I have any, wonder if I’ll even be able to find any at this point.
  • I hate tomatoes when I’m not pregnant and I hated them my first 2 pregnancies too. But my last pregnancy and this pregnancy I can’t get enough of them. I just had an entire raw tomato with honey mustard and it was so satisfying
  • Has anybody else experienced upset stomach or diarrhea here and there after eating sometimes instead of constipation?
  • I haven't had a bagel in probably 6 years and I can't stop eating them now. Haha. I love eating healthy, but nothing lean and green sounds good at all!
I am also thirsty allll the time. I drink water all day and even when I get up to pee at night. Never enough.
Also sore boobs and queasyness every day until 1pm (snacking on saltines helps and I have ginger chews and ginger essential oils that help) then I'm a tired zombie till bed.
    I'm 8 weeks today.
  • @mindyb2019. I had a bout this week, but also have the worst GI record on history.  So that is unfortunately pretty normal for me.  Also I feel pretty sick after eating anything right now.  Hopefully you feel better soon!
  • I found two cockroaches this morning and then bawled my eyes out.  (We got the new house sprayed before we moved in and keep finding dead or dying bugs).
  • @dobiemom11 thanks friend. I’m feeling much better today. So sorry that your struggle with a bad GI. That’s horrible. Ewww cockroaches? Sorry girl. Gross.
  • I cried at a commercial 2 nights ago. It was on ESPN and it was about how the world is missing sports (My H and I are huge sports fans), and there was a clip of a baseball player hitting a ball that burst into pink dust for a couple's gender reveal..I started bawling.

  • Cravings- all the breakfast food (I never eat breakfast before this pregnancy) and Cheetos (same as with my son)
Nausea- the smell of clean baby wipes made me almost throw up (only threw up once with my son)
Slight pain where my ovaries are (same as with my son, it feels similar to when I ovulate)

I am still early at 4 weeks 3 days so that’s about it.
  • My all day nausea and exhaustion eased up on me yesterday. I actually spent most the day playing with DD outside with her water table and worked out while she napped! It felt good to feel partly human. Hoping for a good day today as well and that maybe I've turned a corner.

  • I'm 7.5 weeks and my nausea is 95% gone. Yay! But I have major brain fog, I can't remember basic words while I'm talking!  I'm thirsty all the time. Also, I've been having very strange and vivid dreams. All kinds of people from my past and present are popping up in them in different configurations doing strange things.  A big theme in my dreams has been travelling. Anyone else having weirder than normal dreams?
  • @dancingtreepose I've been having really vivid dreams too. I don't remember any of them except one where my daughter ate cat food (I don't own a cat) and the only reason I remember is because apparently in the middle of the night after the dream I googled "2 year old ate cat food" and seeing that on my browser when I woke up jogged my memory  :D But I feel like they're really bizarre and vivid and it's making me not sleep well.

    DS Born: April 2019
    Due with #3 December 2020!
  • @dancingtreepose always, it's my first symptom when I'm pregnant (before the tests even show) and they last the entire pregnancy.
  • @dancingtreepose definitely with the dreams. Such weird groups of people - past, present, famous...ha
  • @dancingtreepose Same with the dreams! So vivid and bizarre...

I already have horrible, awful heart burn. And I’m only 7w. So that’s going to suck!
  • @cassafrass15 I told my husband my chest was filled with lava due to this heartburn.  It doesn't seem to matter if I eat something or not.  He keeps telling me to come back to bed after I take the dog out in the morning.  But I would rather sleep on the couch sitting upright.  But that means lots of cute hair right?
  • @dobiemom11 NOPE, lol! I had the WORST HB with DS and he was a total baldie!
  • @dobiemom11 That’s such a good way to describe it! Lava. Pure lava. My OB has instructed me to start famotidine 2x daily, but I’m still supplementing with Tums!

The dreams yeah, they will just get crazier though.

I felt a bit better yesterday too but I don't know what to think about that, cause with my first the nausea lasted till 15 weeks so I'm kinda counting on that again. It would be super strange if it were already done. I'd be a bit paranoid. When did your nausea finish in previous pregnancies?

I had a lot of heartburn with my first in the second trimester and she was born with a LOT of black hair!

  • My period was due on 4/22 but I didn't really think anything of not starting on time because my first cycle post-IUD was about 6 weeks.  But I've been very tired and cold the past few days which were my first symptoms with my last pregnancy.  Also I want chocolate a whole bunch, but that's not so different from any other time :)

  • I’m so exhausted and so hungry and afraid I’m gong to gain way too much weight with this unfortunate combo lol
  • 4w6d over here and have had nausea since I want to say about at implantation. DH and I weren't trying so I don't think I was imagining the symptoms. Currently a bit fatigued, nausea, and is anyone else having lower back pain? My doctor says it's fine, but it is making me a little nervous!
  • @tryingktogku Right there with ya! I’m trying to incorporate at least SOME exercise each day because I’m worried I’m going to gain too much weight (as I sit here on the couch eating chips)...
  • @cassafrass15 lol I know!!! As I sit here eating a spoonful of Nutella making pickled eggs ahh
  • Ok I have a question for anyone.. My tummy is fine during the day all day at work but as soon as I eat dinner, my tummy is upset and I have really watery diarrhea(Sorry TMI) I have to run to the toilet a few times and then I’m fine for the rest of the night until I eat dinner the next day. I have IBS so my tummy is upset a lot on a good day from food and not pregnant lol. My question is... is this normal due to all the hormone changes in my body from pregnancy? Or should I be concerned about it and talk to my doctor? I’m just confused as to why this would only happen after dinner time. 🤷‍♀️ I’m feeling worried because I thought pregnant women normally get constipated. Thanks Ladies..
  • @mindyb2019 diarrhea is definitely a normal symptom, especially in the first trimester! I have some bouts and it’s usually after dinner time.

  • @bearmomma1ok thank you so much. So why is it that its usually after dinner time? Is there something about dinner haha
  • I just needed a place to say what a stinking annoying day today was....it was like nothing at all could go right. Big and little things 🙄 the last few days I have been so impatient and moody which is not even close to my normal and it's a tough adjustment! Add nausea, heartburn, and all the random things I'm sure we are all dealing with and, well, this is my 1 minute pity party! Thanks for letting me get it out 😊
  • @bkinn26 so sorry you had a crappy day today and it was annoying. ❤️
  • @mindyb2019 I’m sorry you’re going through that. With my last pregnancy, I had just been diagnosed with IBS and had just started the Low FODMAP diet when I got pregnant. I suffered with ibs-d the whole pregnancy. I think I had to take Imodium like every day, my doctor said that was ok as long as I wasn’t getting constipated.

Hopefully it eases up for you after the first trimester! If you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out, I’ve been there.

Also, if I can add a glimmer of hope for you... once my daughter was born and my hormones chilled out some my stomach has been a ton better than before that pregnancy. Not sure if it’s due to changing probiotics or what.
  • @mindyb2019 def check with your doc. I have a lot of complicating digestion stuff too (no gallbladder and I've had gastric sleeve). The "riri" for me is always hit or miss. Usually if It's going to hit me it's after something with too much butter or saturated fat in general.
  • @mindyb2019 maybe after dinner is when your body starts to relax knowing the day is almost over and so Bam! Haha I’m not sure why. TMI I remember with my last pregnancy my H and I went to his company holiday party and we were driving home and I had to go SO BAD I was running stop signs trying to get home faster. I told my H Let a cop pull me over, I’ll tell him I have pregnancy diarrhea and need to go ASAP! Haha at least now we’re al home anyway 😂😂

  • @bearmomma1. I have a pretty long commute, so I am concerned about having that issue.  Hopefully I will be feeling better before I have to return to work.

@mindyb2019. I normally had diarrhea when I got AF, so I think mine could be tied to hormones.  Not sure how hormones fluctuate during the day, so maybe there is some connection there.
  • @bearmomma1 hahaha 😆😂 omg I have sooo been there LOL.

@dobiemom11 I normally had diarrhea with AF too. Maybe it’s just my hormones fluctuating at night 🤷‍♀️
  • Hi guys! Having very vivid and wild dreams. All of the fake cheesy food I loved last week is now disgusting to me. I’m obsessed with pears and bananas right now, but food in general just still isn’t good. Still having all day nausea & uneasiness but it feels like it’s less bad than it was. Also I was extremely thirsty for about 2 weeks and now not as much. Hoping in another week the nausea will lessen even more.
  • I’m nauseas constantly, heighten sense of smell, restless legs, and extreme fatigue.
  • Minis the fatigue, my other symptoms come and go and they were so prominent with my son that it makes me nervous. I know every pregnancy is different but I overthink on a normal day.

  • Today the only thing that is saving me are fruit smoothies.  Everything else makes me sick to my stomach.
