April Symptoms

Re: April Symptoms

  • @jaclyn0405 glad I’m not the only one! I will be asking about it at my appointment next week too! It literally hurts my abdomen if I cough too hard!
  • Loading the player...
  • @krystrist2014 yes I am feeling the same way! I spent a decent amount of time outside on Sunday and Monday playing with DD and was quickly reminded that I am indeed pregnant because I could barely walk to get into bed! It was nuts.

First time pregnancy, so far minimal symptoms:

    > Exhaustion. Thanks to the stay-at-home order / work from home I get 10-12 hrs at night and one or two naps.
    > Hormones. I haven’t notice much, but my husband claims the hormones take over from time to time. Haha, he means well.
    > Nausea. Not bad at all, I pictured far worse. Occasionally I’ll smell certain foods and immediately tell my hubby I won’t be be having X, Y or Z for dinner, and opt for soup.

But overall no complaints, I think I just listened to too many horror stories and assumed the worse. Counting my blessings, hoping it stays positive the other 31 weeks.

The nausea is better but not gone, exhaustion is still going strong. And the crazy dreams are back!
  • 9 weeks today and this nausea can kiss my ass! I literally feels like I have a stomach virus, it’s awful!! I spend my days curled in a ball of misery and even simple tasks seem insurmountable. My poor kids don’t understand why momma just lays on the couch all day. Thank goodness I go to the doctor next week, I think we will go ahead and tell the kids, that way I can at least tell them why I feel so yucky.
  • Ugh I have been so sick the last 2 days it’s aweful!!! My last pregnancy I was on dyclegis. My Midwife said it’s really hard to get nowadays with insurance (it was god aweful expensive last pregnancy but oh so worth it . Anyone been prescribed that . I puke 3-4 times a day .
  • @mimser I was like that a week or two ago... it was TERRIBLE. And I really couldn't help it lol. I'm still moody now but not nearly as bad, thankfully!
  • The nausea is still lingering, but I'm hoping after this week it'll be over! It only starts after 2:00pm for some reason. I feel fine all morning and then terrible for the rest of the evening. I've started taking Metamucil to help with getting extra fiber bc I think a lot of it is just being backed up. Yuck.

  • @krystrist2014 yesss! 3rd baby here and I have been feeling the RLP. No csections, but Im thinking it’s just my body remembering what to do so it’s making room early. Also, Im in my 30’s now compared to my other littles, so maybe it’s an age thing for me. 😂 I hope it feels better for you soon! 💜💜
  • 1. I've been experiencing lightning crotch off and on. Is anyone else?
    2. Mild nausea right after I take the prenatals
    3. Headaches

  • Headaches all day starting yesterday 🖐🏼

@ecolton01 I'm on diclegis. It makes me sleepy so I can't take the max dose but it really helps me. I've been on it all my preganancies (reduced vomiting from 6-8x per day to 2-4x per a day my last two). It was expensive but worth it, I think there is a coupon online that can cut down the cost. I forgot about it unfortunately till after I got it. My insurance will cover more if I do mail order but that takes 2-4 weeks to set up.
  • @kelk5 did you have to do anything special to get it ? With the twins no problem , not they are saying if I’m not loosing a mass amount of weight that they can’t get insurance to pay for it ? I have asked if I can just self pay so I am waiting for that answer . I will totally take the sleepy at this point lol, I forgot how much being pregnant sucks .. at least for me lol . It’s totally worth it but man I hate this part ! I would rather labor out 5 kids then be pregnant ha

Shelter in place and all of these symptoms is not helping what so ever.
I feel like if I was working, I would be able to be distracted most of the day, but with almost nothing to do, this is all I think about.
Constant nausea but no puking. I can't decide if that's better or worse? Just lots of gagging and ugh... spitting.
No appetite. Cheerios and peanut butter sandwiches or about all I can handle. Maybe mashed potatoes on a good day.
Everything disgusts me. Like even random objects. Netflix- gross. My couch-ugh. Phone-nope. I just lay in bed with nature noises on and try to sleep.
Congestion with nasal drip. Driving. Me. Insane. The nasal drip is what's making me gag most of the time.
I smell everything. Nothing smells good.

I've been taking 25 mg of b6 3 times a day but that doesn't seem to be doing too much.

Needless to say, things have been rough over here. Looking forward to our first appointment next week to see if there's anything else I can get for relief.

    Hang in there Mamas. ✊

  • 7w3d I have random nausea throughout the day, sore nipples, and I'm so terribly bloated and constipated I can barely move around by bedtime. And now the cravings are starting!

The blooming flowers are turning my stomach. I bought my girls tulips and a hyacinth for Easter, and they are currently in the garage til my hubby plants them. They were so strong I could smell them throughout our 4 bedroom, 2 story house

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • This nausea is destroying me. I have a new symptom this pregnancy (3rd) - headaches. I keep thinking maybe I'm sick, but it's clearly the pregnancy. I'm trying to up my fluid intake, and I think that helps.
  • Oh, the other different thing is that I've been waking up pretty ok, but then it gets worse as the day goes on. By the time the evening comes, I'm in really, really terrible shape.
  • 11w: I throw up while brushing my teeth. Be it before breakfast or after. Morning or evening.
  • @bumblebee11715, I'm also taking B6, but my midwife has me taking 200mg a day (100mg in AM and PM). Really seems to help. I've read that lower doses aren't as effective, so maybe ask your provider about taking more? Hope you and others get relief soon!

@ecolton01 sorry I missed this. I didn't have to do anything special to get it. I just asked my midwife for it since I had it during all my other preganancies. She wrote me the prescription. That's crazy they won't just write it for you. I hope you can get it soon
  • I think I’m going to try B6. My dr prescribed Zofran and I took one last night and then fully passed out so that isn’t going to work out for me, I’m alone with the kids too much since my DH works nights. I do feel like I’m turning a corner and starting to feel a little better, though.
  • Everything smells like a wet dog to me uggh! I don't even own a dog. 🤢🤮
  • I am 12w2d now and FINALLY starting to feel some relief from the constant nausea. It still comes and goes, but I haven't thrown up in days which is great! Fingers crossed it lasts! Other than that, no change in the exhaustion and acid reflux. I have tried to cut back on dairy to see if that would help, and I've noticed that I'm not as bloated as I have been. Not sure if it's related!
  • @bumblebee11715 that is exactly me all day every day. I'm so over being so nauseous and the nasal drip ughhh. I have an appointment Thursday so I can wait to figure out what they can do to help me.
  • On top of everything, food tastes funny to me. I was craving watermelon, ate some, tastes like soap. Hubby bought me some ice cream, didnt taste good. Made a flan, to me it tasted terrible but not to my family who dogged it. I just want to eat and enjoy food again.
  • 10w4d--still nauseated, hound nose is so strong still--DOES THE INCREASED SENSE OF SMELL GO AWAY SOON?!! I hate that everything smells 10 times stronger than what it should.
  • Looks like my new symptom is waking up at 4-5 am... I toss and turn then read a book and when I should get up, that's when I feel sleepy again. I'm thinking of trying to skip my afternoon nap...but then I don't know if I'll be any good at anything in PM...
  • @bserena this is my daily struggle!!! I have had it BAD since 6 weeks. I got a bad cough and it was the WORST. If I roll over the wrong way or too fast, if I stand up or bend down too fast, sneezing, or cough it feels like my muscles or ligaments are literally being TORN inside my body. Ugh.
  • @krystrist2014 oh no! I'm sorry you've been dealing with it, since so early too! That is exactly what it feels like, like my insides are being torn apart. UGH!!!
  • Nausea is letting up a little, I don’t have to take the nausea pills in the morning and as long as I eat I’m fine. Sense of smell is awful hopefully it goes away soon!!

  • Am I going crazy.. well probably, but I swear I felt movement last night  and tonight again. I’m 11w 2d. With DD I think was 15 weeks. This seems way early. Has anyone else had movement.. it’s like butterflies.
  • @potofgolden I recall butterflies early with some babies. I would say that’s probably your baby. This time around I’ve suspected but the feelings are too high or closer to my stomach etc. I’m dying for tangible signs.

Well according to my DH he would probably say I’ve been a massive B this time around. I did snap his head off when he asked a simple question today. Probably unwarranted? (I re-sorted all the unused kids clothes, relabeled bags, sorted out all stained clothes etc...he asked if I labeled the bags....).  So cross and early nesting (NEVER had that before).  Varicose veins and I threw my back out so bad on Friday I took the day off from work.
  • @potofgolden I swear I felt movement last night but I'm only 10w6d. It was really low and felt like bubbles. It was probably gas, lol.

I've been feeling faint. If I sit on the couch and then get up and walk to the kitchen I have to slow down because I start to feel like I could pass out. I was doing yardwork outside a few days ago and had to take a break because I was starting to shake. Anyone dealing with something similar? I dont remember this with my son.
  • @bserena Yes to RLP - I've had it for a few weeks now when sneezing, standing up quickly, rolling over in bed. Mine isn't as bad as yours sounds though - ouch! For me it's a momentary sharp stabbing pain, but usually not severe.
@potofgolden I haven't felt anything yet, but am hopeful! Last time around I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel baby until 20ish weeks, but I've heard you feel them way earlier with subsequent pregnancies. Instead, sooooooo much gas. Hopefully soon!
@name1109 MH has said the same about me. Apparently I grossly overreact to nothing and have a super sensitive temper. 🤷‍♀️ It has been better in the last week or so, I think.
@dumbledoredies I've had that light headed thing a few times, and I've read that it's common. It sucks though!

  • I started getting round ligament pains way earlier than I remember from last time. They happen when I sneeze or move too fast.
I’ve started getting single, loud, violent hiccups that come on spontaneously. This happened with my last pregnancy and would get so loud that by the end they could be heard through my whole office floor. So that’s lovely.
