For the record this has already happen to me, along with some hot sauce dribble . Any who, I cannot access TB at home at all. I even tired when we were picking up my husband's new car this weekend, using my data, and still no luck. So I resorted to signing on here before my work actually starts rolling in to catch up with you ladies, so sorry if I seem distant in the future, it's not by choice.
My husband finally got his Tesla Model 3. I told him he has the next week to talk about this car and then he can no longer speak about it. It's been a long 7 weeks of him consistently talking about it or watching videos on youtube about it.
I hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe out there in this crazy world. I also hope that this space can be a safe space of not speaking out virus so much. I feel like no matter what website I go on I hear/see so much about this virus that it doesn't help my anxiety. Hopefully talking about baby kicks, room decorating, and our partners will be a great distraction for all. *I want to say that I'm not saying what can be discussed here, I'm just sharing my thoughts. And yes I said that statement because I know how quick things can go left #TBExperience
Have a great day ladies!!

What if we started a Covid thread? That way there is a dedicated place to talk about it since it's probably weighing heavy on our mind, but we each get to opt in to when we read about it since we are so innundated with info at the moment and I'm sure we all need a break sometimes.
@rivercitynik I think a covid thread would be great. It would make this group more of a safe space to not be stressed out.
In other news I think I picked the dresser out that I want for this baby. Now I just need to save up for it.
Operation minimalist is still going on at my house. Getting rid of tons of crap we don't need or use. Not even going to mention it to my family. They are hoarders and will take that as a sign to send more things my may.
Also getting my honey do list ready for the husband. We don't need to paint my sons room since this baby is also a boy but need to start getting this house organized!

I've really enjoyed prenatal yoga but am sticking close to home for the time being. Does anyone have any YouTube videos/channels they like for prenatal yoga? Ideally something 30 min or less. I'll also search around today and will report back if I find something I really like.
Is anyone using a birth ball/yoga ball yet? I work from home (always, not just temporarily) and have been thinking it would be good to good one to use as a chair throughout the day, but wasn't sure if it was too soon to use it or if that's even a thing to be concerned about. I'll ask my doula today too but just wanted to see what everyone else here is doing.
@blackgirlmagic... sorry you are having so much trouble with app! That's really frustrating, especially since it seems to be a common issue that's been happening for so long and they still haven't addressed it.
@rivercitynik that's a great idea to start to thread for that!
Also, I'm waiting to see what my husband's breaking point is for the lack of clean clothes. I feel like he thinks it's all on me to do laundry. I have no plans on leaving the house any time soon, so I don't need real clothes. There is a pretty decent pile going right now. I feel like I need to start taking bets I'm itching to wash clothes today, but I just want to see him put in the effort instead of complaining about it.

@psychobutthead responding to your comment on the other randoms thread re: nesting and DIY projects! What color are you thinking of painting your bedroom?
My parents were supposed to come paint the nursery (!) this week, but I think we'll postpone it a bit. In addition to the nursery I'm also working on updating my guest room to be a combo guest room/office. Since I live alone I think the guest room will get a lot of traffic, at least in the beginning between my son's dad and my mom. I have a regular bed in the room now, but want to switch to a pullout sofa for a variety of reasons, and I found one I love (it's comfy and can fit up my stairs) but it's very $$$. Trying to figure out how to make it work.
In terms of DIY projects, I want to make these curtains for the guest room/office space. My parents just painted the room for me (have I mentioned how helpful they have been?! definitely very lucky) but there is a little nook where I'll put the pullout sofa, so I had them leave it unpainted and I want to put up removable wallpaper. Does anyone have experience doing this? Any brands you like?
Excited to hear what's on everyone else's project list!
@blackgirlmagic When you said you had to limit your husband's talking about his car, I had to laugh! I do the same thing with my husband. I like sports but his level of detail is way beyond me caring. I usually say you can tell me 3 things about this and then your done so choose wisely.
@rivercitynik I love all your updates about how you are getting your house ready for baby. That is so fun right now! We spent the weekend doing some rearranging and with all this time at home I plan to get the play room turned into my son's room little by little.
@rivercitynik I'm thinking a light gray. Its currently yellow and has been yellow for 6 years.
Im thinking of just getting a yellow comforter off target. I love the color yellow so i am thinking pops of it in comferoter, or curtains, and pillows is better than a bright yellow room.
I dont own a sewing machine so I will probably just hunt for curtains i like. Your parents sound like they are super helpful!

I can't wait until we figure out and decide what our living situation is going to look like all the redecorating sounds fun! I love putting together rooms and making things work. UGH and I also love thrifting and scouring for good pieces and a great deal. I am really hoping we get to move somewhere with a third bedroom just so I can decorate for this baby.... I've got ideas happening based on some coloring books I was gifted for Christmas (I'm planning on DIYing framed art for this kid, DD already has some framed pictures I've colored for her) and I am really excited to start looping together pieces.
@rivercitynik those curtains look cool! I’m not very good at many DIY stuff so if it tried to make those curtains it would probably look like a child colored on the curtains 😂 I’ve never used removable wall paper, but we’ve thought about it for a wall on the nursery since we rent. We’re still looking into that though!
The dressers in our bedroom are currently my dressers from when I was a teenager, so they’re pretty worn. We’re going to paint and upgrade the hardware on those in a few weeks to give them a much needed fresh look. We’re also going to make a raised garden bed next weekend and I’m pretty excited for that.. we finally have a backyard that gets enough sun to grow some veggies!
this weekend we majorly deep cleaned the top floor of our house. I’ve already organized the bottom floor and minimized as much as we can, so my goal for this week is to deep clean the first floor. Then to just try to be a bit better about upkeep... we decided to hire a cleaner to come probably biweekly, but with everything going on we will postpone that for a bit
Anyone else finding out the gender on the 1st and planning a prank for April fools? I am hoping my appointment doesn't get cancelled and that we can keep our restaurant reservation! As of now all restaurants in Ohio are closed until further notice so we may end up with 20 people at our house instead...
@mrswheeler812 Lol. I have to know - what kind of prank do you have up your sleeve!? I hope you get to keep your reservation, as well! Would be stressful to suddenly have to plan a gathering at your home instead!
All this redecorating sounds fun. We will be moving after the baby is born, so pardon me if I just take notes over here, lol.
Both my kids are being ridiculous today. Like so much whining, crying, and fighting. Seriously, if I wasnt pregnant, I would already be reaching for the wine.
@lachnessmomster So my aunt wanted to do the gender reveal for us so we are lying about the gender to her and she will be doing the box reveal where the pink or blue balloons pop out and then we have gender reveal cupcakes for after with the correct gender color icing inside that no one knows about. So we will do the box and get everyone excited and then pass out the cupcakes that no one will know have the filling inside. And then whenever someone notices yell "April Fools Suckers!"
@mrswheeler812 Hahaha. That's so cruel, I LOVE it! It'll be great seeing the confused expressions on everyone's faces!
@wildrainbow I miss wine. So. Very. Much. This weekend in my hometown was especially tricky/stressful, and I would love nothing more than to put the kids to bed tonight, have a glass of red, and binge some Netflix to unwind. I suppose a mug of red raspberry leaf tea will have to suffice. Godspeed as you attempt to tame your wild ones! 😅
I am loving all the nursery decorating going on! We are hoping to move before baby arrives... although with everything going on now, I'm having trouble thinking about listing my house and having people coming through on tours in order to sell it, ugh. We sorted and packed up the extra clothes and crap in the spare room to prep it for the nursery furniture... that's a start.
@rivercitynik Your parents sound amazing! That's so awesome they are able to help you so much. I'm also planning on doing one wall of wallpaper in the nursery! I'm looking for a yoga channel too and @maelove mentioned an app in the Covid thread. No yoga ball for me yet... interested to hear when we should begin using these.

That was also me yesterday, once we got home from Church and changing into some -- what I thought were cute comfy house clothes. Pull on one of my old favorite t-shirts only to see a stain right at peak bump level! :s Good grief!
@lachnessmomster and @wildrainbow Add me to the missing wine list! It seems more than a little unfair that we’re all stuck at home and can’t even drink wine to help pass the time 😂
@lachnessmomster@wildrainbow@gomillis OMG totally missing wine. I said to MH over the weekend that if I wasn't pg we would totally be day drinking outside in our backyard... instead we cleaned the bathrooms and all the floors in the house

ziggymama06. If my husband drank, I would allow him to drink as he pleases, responsibly. I can't wait to open my moonshine once I'm done with this pregnancy.

@blackgirlmagic Moonshine sounds good! MH still drinks occasionally, but not like he would if I were drinking with him. He had two beers Saturday night while I had chocolate milk and popcorn

I miss wine too. I've switched to ginger ale this pregnancy (started when I was nauseous and it's stuck around) which is good, but not the same as a big glass of red after a stressful day.
What is everyone thinking about nursery themes? I really want to do a travel/hot air balloon theme for baby boy, but I'm having a hard time finding stuff that I like. Maybe I'm just picky, but the vintage, mountains/hunting, and gray/dark colors for baby boys just doesn't do it for me. I love color and I feel like it's hard to find what I had in my head. We did pick out a crib and dresser this weekend, which I'm super excited about though!
@wednesdaygirl1019 I love it! I just answered on your checkin, but we are finally adding the hot air balloon mobile I had on DDs registry (and no one got us), so that will be a fun thing to incorporate into her otherwise-woodland room. Keep looking! I have seen lots of great hot air balloon bedding and art work, but you may have to do some digging.... If you are doing more travel themed kinda, a map can be a great focal point in terms of wall art, too.
@wednesdaygirl1019 I was struggling with this a bit too! What helped was looking at crib sheets to see what drew my eye and then kind of building around that. I don't have a theme exactly, but if I had to say something I'd say it's whismical nature. I'm doing dark green walls (with some blue undertones) and they actually read sort of a neutral to me, so I can bring in colorful sheets, fun wall art, throw pillows for the recliner, and bright garland (in place of a mobile). Babylist has a lot of cute sheets on their site, so even if you don't order through them it could be a place to get some inspiration.
@wednesdaygirl1019 That sounds so cute! You may need to piece it together yourself... but I'm totally digging the hot air balloon/travel theme! We are doing classic Winnie the Pooh. But I don't want an explosion of it. We will have light gray walls with a pink large white polka dot/design accent wall with some cute Winnie the Pooh quotes in frames and her name in pillow letters on the wall. Likely a mobile, blanket, and stuffed animals but that's about it for Pooh... everything else I want to be white/pink/gray to be a classical little girl's room with a chandelier.

I Also miss wine 😭 but I found a delicious lime mint sparkling water at the grocery store and it tastes like a mojito. Last night we sat outside with the dogs grilling and my husband had a vodka drink and I had my fake mojito sparkling water. It was still pretty nice!
@rivercitynik I'll have to check out Babylist. I've found a couple of cute things I like on Etsy (crib sheets and a quilt). It's putting it all together in my head that's proving to be tricky!
@ziggymama06 I love Winnie the Pooh! I feel like I've seen some cute nurseries on Pinterest, but you have to be so careful because the line between touches of a theme and full on explosion of it is very thin I'm hoping I can pull this off without it looking like it's too much.
All I know now is that the walls will be light yellow and I want white/possibly sheer curtains. And this crib:
@wednesdaygirl1019 we aren't really doing a theme. Imo themes dobt last long or grow well.
I'm just doing everything in bright colors and thats it.

I have a truly random one...since I’ve been home more lately I’ve noticed that every evening one of our neighbors zooms around our street on a hoverboard pushing a stroller with two cats in it. Glad to have more time to appreciate stuff like that these days 😂
