I lost the battle with laundry. I woke up this morning and realized that my daughter has no more clean under and I am out of pants to wear. My husband was won this battle, but not the war...I will say I am not looking for the loads of laundry that will get done over the next couple of days. @gomillis I cannot believe that you saw that. I'm hoping that this is a younger person you saw. But if it is an older person, I give them props for handling a hover board.

I'm hoping this one is another boy so we don't have to change our nursery... Its an oceans at night them with a custom mural on the wall with glow in the dark stars and DS name written in them with just enough room for this babies!
@mrswheeler812 FWIW, you could totally keep that theme for a girl as well, and I highly doubt anyone would think anything of it. It's badass either way!
@lachnessmomster@pengy16 Its more so that the rest of the walls are a teal blue that scream boy. I won't change the mural for anything! I am trying to convince DH we could at least make an accent wall with silver glitter paint!
Oh. my. gosh. I finally got the results of the ultrasound on my gallbladder and liver. I got it from the doctor himself as he called to ask me to push my appointment back 3 weeks. I'm glad I advocated for myself and at least got my results. The $700.00 blood work showed yes my liver enzymes are elevated and my cholesterol is a bit high. As for my gallbladder, they maybe saw a small stone? He told me to continue to eat a low fat and incorporate a low cholesterol diet and that we'd talk further when I called to set up an appointment in at minimum 2-3 weeks, I'm currently not a priority (which is fine by me I feel great). Then he let me know they would start discussing a possible CT scan or MRI of my liver to see what's going on with it exactly... which set off alarm bells in my brain but it was clear he was just placing phone calls to non-priority patients to push them back so I figured he might not be reading my whole file. I called my mom (RN of 25+ years) and she immediately started laughing because you don't do abdominal CT's or MRI's on pregnant women if at all avoidable. Given he's not concerned enough about my well being to push for immediate treatment and testing she says that this is likely going to become repeating blood work to monitor my levels until after I give birth.
SO BASICALLY: I feel fine, my body is reacting to something sub optimally but everything appears to be working, and my genetic predisposition for high cholesterol is kicking in so I need to start fighting the good fight. But holy crap I have been so stressed out about this and it seems to be likely little to nothing.
$700 is worth the peace of mind!!!! I'm so glad it's not more serious and for real, if he's pushing you off that means you're not that bad. You would NOT want to be the patient that he's like okay we need to get you back in here ASAP. Did he say how soon to repeat BW? @RedBaramid Will it be that spendy every time tho? Yikes.
@RedBaramid Yay! That is awesome. It sucks you still have elevated enzymes, but I'm betting it's just your gallbladder making your liver freak out. I'm so happy that you aren't a priority and you feel great. Hopefully when you go back in 3 weeks, they will only have to do your CMP and maybe check your bike acids.
@BusinessWife He ordered a whole battery of tests to be preformed and checked all the things.. it's likely that repeat blood work wouldn't necessarily be that expensive, but it could be. Not thrilling considering until my insurance starts my OB appointments are $850.00 a pop. (June cannot get here fast enough lol.)
@wildrainbow It is probably ABSOLUTELY either my gallbladder dealing with the small stone/and or sludge that it is processing, or it's completely possible that my liver is still just slowly processing all the medications that I had to be on in December and January for the flu, the ear infection, and the ruptured ear drum. Yes all those medications were needed and they were baby safe, that doesn't mean that my liver had an easy time processing them though. I'm hoping by the time we go in for a recheck things are lowering and we just watch and wait.
Thanks for the well wishes guys, fingers crossed we just sit and wait and see and I'm able to ride through this without intervention until baby is here at least.
@RedBaramid glad you got your results back and its nothing that is an emergency right now. Its kind of scary how doctors always over look pregnancy when ordering tests.

@roo_baby Glad I'm not the only one! I've been having the very occasional beer or small glass of wine with DH that I'll sip very slowly over an extended period of time. Typically, my glasses of wine are as big as my face, but I'll take a few ounces over nothing any day. I also really miss bourbon. I love to sip on a lowball of bourbon.
I'm going to try and plant flowers from seeds in the house. I thought it might be a fun little activity while cooped up! Hoping I can transplant them to our flower boxes in a few months. Wish me luck!
Anyone else have fun projects they are working on? I'm trying to work on something other than constantly cleaning and organizing.
@riatortillaxo we made a sourdough starter! You have to feed it daily in the beginning, so I've been making rosemary / herb crackers with the discard, too! Super fun
@roo_baby@lachnessmomster I LOVED me some wine and beers before pregnancy. I have yet to be tempted though! Which totally surprises me the most! I thought for sure I’d be an occasional “sipper” but I’m not, at all lol. Have a sip for me ladies!
A Good bottle of red and a hefty charcuterie board FULL of meats and ALL the cheeses is ALL I want after delivery, when I can lol.
@riatortillaxo what a great idea! I may just have to attempt to do the same thing!!
My big boy cat went for annual shots today and isn't happy. I was doing yoga when MH brought him home and he ran straight to me on the mat and started meowing and chirping as if he was tattling on all the horrors that his daddy put him through. (Poor guy also got a rectal thermometer reading) He's my boy today now and this is his preferred situation:
I'm not sure how much longer in this pregnancy I'm gonna be able to tolerate him on the belly since he's a 22 pound monster but he's not a cuddler so I was more than happy to be is comfy place for a while today.
Aww, what a handsome guy! @RedBaramid you are one lucky lady, today! 😻😻😻
Oh it's so good, 🤤 @charhar0820 it's just a bit time-consuming because you have to carefully mix the oil into the starter dough, and then spread it out as evenly as possible, which is a little bit tricky. And then you have to watch it in the oven so that it doesn't burn. But so worth it! I tried to make some other kind of weird little pancakes yesterday instead and they didn't work out quite as nicely. 😬
@BusinessWife I looked into the Art of making sourdough and as tempted as I was to attempt it, I gave up Quickly lol there’s a wonderful farm not far from me that makes a herb and rosemary sourdough bread and sell it at few select stores, only on certain days of the week! It sells out so fast. (Hence why I thought of making my own) I discovered they actually started selling the bread at my little town general store. So I get the owner to save me a loaf when it comes in hot off the truck LOL! I haven’t had any in a while and now I want some haha!
Would we have enough ladies to start a med-free birth thread? Anyone interested? Where we could share how we are preparing and those that have experienced a med-free birth can share their experience with ftm hoping for the same style of birth?
@RedBaramid I’m so happy that a) you’re feeling good and b) your tests didn’t show anything to be urgently concerned about! Phew. What a relief! Sorry those stupid tests cost you a fortune though
@tyrion_ I’d love to see a med free birth thread! On my last bump group we had one and it was a great place to exchange stories and resources, and for FTMs to explore the many reasons why they may want a med free birth. I loved that thread during my last pregnancy, and found so many resource suggestions there. I did end up having a med free birth (after having an epidural during my first birth). I am planning for another med free birth!
@tyrion_ I would be interested. I'm not 100% sure which route that I am taking but I got the epi last time pretty quick and it only worked in one side and I hated not feeling my legs. I'm really really considering TRYING to go meet free.
So this is my progress so far on decluttering. This was mostly just from my room and closet. 1 bag is mcdonalds toys and one small box is dvds.
So this is going to sit in my garage until its ok to go donate.

@psychobutthead good work! In our decluttering process we found a whole bunch of dvds.... but my husband won’t get rid of them even though we don’t even have a DVD player 😆
hope everyone has a great day! I have my first virtual meeting with my advisor and don’t have enough work done, but that’s ok! Gonna roll with it 😀
@psychobutthead great job! It feels so nice to find things that you don't need that someone else could use. I also have things in my garage to donate eventually, just didn't get around to it and now it's going to be there a little while longer.
I was up between 4 and 5 this morning with the Brady Bunch song stuck in my head. I haven't even seen that show in years, no clue why it was in my head! I've never had more songs stuck in my head in the middle of the night than I have this whole pregnancy.
@wednesdaygirl1019 OMG same thing here... I was up around 4am with the Cardi B/ Maroon 5 song stuck in my head... I haven't even heard it in several months, maybe a year? No idea where it came from... combined with bizarre dreams and being uncomfortable, I had a terrible night's sleep. Ugh.

I am close to a severe case of cabin fever. I am really thankful that I can work from home during these crazy times, but I also can tell I am not getting enough moving around time.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for online workout apps or videos that are pregnancy appropriate?
Today I start adding milled flax seed to my diet to hopefully lower my cholesterol. I'm reading I should aim for 2-3 tablespoons daily. This isn't my first rodeo with flax, I was eating it a lot after DD was born to try and save my breast milk supply (and it totally helped fyi) but I'm starting to feel a little bit crazy with all the diet restrictions. I'm finding that despite all the suggestions for change that I'm being told to make, I'm already doing most of those things.. so I guess we'll see what happens here for a while. At least this is something I wasn't doing before like when they told me to go low fat and I was already mostly low fat.
@tyrion_ Count me in for a med-free birth thread! I managed to go med-free with DD, and hoping to do so again. Obviously keeping my options open, but would love to read other experiences and coping mechanisms!
We had one in my last two BMB’s, too, so I’m excited for another one! I’ll get it started now, sorry so late.
My nesting + Covid anxiety + PGAL anxiety drove me to clean out my garage today. And when I say clean out, I mean clean out. I took everything out of the garage, swept it all out, went through all the boxes, and then put everything back in.
@psychobutthead and @tyrion_ I applaud your work with all that cleaning and organizing. I was on such a organizing kick and I've slowed down a bit.
@RedBaramid a few moms in my other BMB were on very restrictive diets. Some because of their babies reflux and some for other reasons. They mentioned Facebook groups where people shared recipes and tips. I wonder if you searched around you could find a group that suits your needs to give you a sense of community and some fresh ideas!
I should have spent my son's nap time doing work, but I avoided it and made muffins instead. It was relaxing.
@cornichonmam truly random, but do you guys really call it "loo roll," or is that just for TV?
@riatortillaxo muffins sound like just the thing! I have been wanting to make chocolate chip cookies for two days now!!! Hopefully tomorrow I can make it happen ;)
@tyrion_ @psychobutthead nice work ladies! I have been managing the slow and steady approach lol I hope I can find some of your energy to make some big strides!
@RedBaramid you sound like you're doing an awesome job. I'm sorry it's kinda frustrating at this point -- like you're hitting a wall and what more can you do!?? Ugh. (((Hugs))))

Add me to the list of wine-deprived, but I finally had some this week. Desperate times call for a few sips.
