This weekend was a little all over the place. Saturday was insane and I woke up super grumpy. We had show choir contest again, it was 2 hours away and they took first again, 🎉, then during their lunch break we had to go get DD distance spikes for track. I was just so grumpy the entire day. Then DH made me this desk I asked for, he put the final clear coats on it last night and will put it in our room after he gets home from work today. Then yesterday we took the dogs to a really secluded park to roam off leash yesterday for about 3 hours. It was so great to be outside with the sun on my face. Then I had the lady stop over to talk about cleaning my house, and she's coming for the first time next Saturday! 🎉🎉 Then I had another friend stop over so I could introduce her to a friend she's buying a crib from. It was so busy. I'm ready for THIS weekend when we basically have zero plans.
So we are supposed to be flying from DC to Louisiana on Tuesday next week and coming back on Saturday. My mom is all of a sudden worried about us doing this because of Coronavirus. I feel like in general everyone is overreacting but obviously don't want to harm my unborn baby. There are like 3 cases in VA and 0 in LA. Would you still go? I haven't seen my 84 year old Grandma in like a year a half and she won't travel here anymore so I'm going to be inconsolable if I have to cancel this trip.
@modoodles I love that desk! H is in the middle of building himself a desk (in the middle I mean started three weeks ago and stopped early and it’s sitting in my garage making us park in the driveway) I may have to show him this pic because it’s cute and more simple lol
@JessDG as long as you practice good hand hygiene and stay 3 feet from other people you should be fine. As a provider I’m cautious about it, but unless you have some autoimmune issue you’re probably fine.
Well I finally went to audiology after years of asking (my hearing is getting worse, yay Army) and I need hearing aids 🤭at least they’re kind of stylish and the awesome audiologist ordered them in rose gold for me and wrote a note that I can wear them in uniform!
@JessDG I am flying from the west coast to Kentucky on Sunday then back home Thursday. I’m not too concerned. Will be using lots of hand sanitizer and washing hands when I can. And bring some disinfecting wipes for my seat, buckle, tray.
They aren’t really finding severe cases in pregnant women. (There’s more to why this may be but this is the gist, and most important part)
@JessDG I would still go. Take along clorox wipes for the airplane, and wash your hands a lot, but i think it would be fine.
@nursejenn5 I was wanting something small and simple since I am giving up our office for a nursery and my desk in the office was huge and just collected a bunch of junk. My DH is a huuuge procrastinator, but I was snippy a few weeks back and said something about it and I am amazed at everything he has done since then 🙈

I'm wanting to put one in the big closet of our guest room (to use to hold my Cricut and other craft stuff) but haven't found just the right desk. I love this idea! @blaf322 I honestly just sent him this screenshot from pinterest and he whipped it up! I don't think he ever actually made up plans for it! He can build pretty easily, so that comes in handy!

What a week/weekend! We put an offer in on a house then had ours appraised and started the decluttering process. It’s been crazy the amount of stuff we’ve just had sitting downstairs 🙈 this week we have carpet estimates and cleaning, putting away things in our storage room and pictures on Thursday. Unfortunately, we were outbid on the house we wanted but we also just didn’t want to pay more so I’m ok with it going to someone else if they offered more but also sad. Hoping to find something else soon. We are planning to have the pictures on our house done and ready whenever we do find something. The market is crazy here though and there are lots of bidding wars and sometimes a house goes up and is already sold within hours...so I’m just hoping we find something and I don’t end up just having to unpack back into our own home!

We finished Love Is Blind last night so, of course, I want to comment on some things (see spoiler)
- Our jaws were on the ground when Damian said "I don't." I get it, but I didn't see it coming, at. all.
- Mark is the only one who didn't see it coming with him and Jessica (aka Messica )
- Poor Carlton at the reunion! My heart just broke for him, in general. Bless his heart... he's just so scared of people judging and rejecting him. Best of luck to him with the whole Diamond friend proposal... I doubt she'll actually put forth effort towards a friendship and there's a zero percent chance she's willing to date him again.
- I almost died of embarrassment for Diamond when the ring almost wouldn't go on! She's put on some lbs (totally understandable since it sounds like she's been going through a lot with the keyboard warriors... plus, who doesn't have times like that). Anyway, if that ring hadn't fit, I'd have died right there.
- I can't believe Barnett said "I do." Enjoy floating your lazy wife for the rest of your life. Seriously... she's lazy. And her statement to Barnett about 1- going over budget and then 2- I don't want to ask my mom for help with the wedding, I want us (read: you) to take care of it.... the audacity when she's bringing NOTHING to the table, financially. She is too much lol.
-Jessica ate so much crow during the reunion. She needed to lol... I'm not sure I'd be able to show up if I were her. How. freakin. embarrassing was her behavior?! I can't imagine watching myself like that.
-last but not least, pre-reunion.... Messica's face when Barnett told her he thought she still had a thing for him after the bday party Okay girl... you're not fooling anyone lol

I feel bad for Jessica. Girl clearly has issues and was also edited to be the villain I think even though she generally did a lot of questionable things.
- oh, I disagree re: Damian. She was all over the place. It sucks that he did it at the altar, but I bet they risk lawsuit or loss of payment (if they get paid?) if they disclose that they'll say no to the other person before they're at the altar.
- I held on to the hope of a messy love triangle right up until Barnett said I do You know the producers wanted it to happen to and they TOTALLY tried to set Jessica up to make it happen. I wonder if they helped her in the drink department too.... b/c she was alllways wasted.
- Re: Carlton... he definitely did this to himself. He is absolutely responsible for the outcome. That said, it doesn't mean he's not struggling, internally, with everything and that's why my heart goes out to him. I can't imagine feeling so scared of judgement from others that you act like that. I hope he learns from the experience and finds acceptance within his circle and a lot more confidence in himself.
-ETA: I don't think editing to show the ugly side of Jessica was difficult. When it's all said and done, she behaved how she behaved and I don't think a ton of it was taken out of context. Like, Barnett wasn't telling her he still isn't sure about Amber and then they edited that out so that all you saw was her all over him. Quite the opposite.
Was putting on hospital scrubs because I had to go into the OR with my patient today thinking hmm maybe time to switch to a bigger size pants as I squeeze them up over my ever growing thighs and hips (but tie comfortably above the belly) thank god I didn’t chose a bigger size. The pants came untied at some point but the belly held them up so. Win win I guess. (And my scrub jacket covers the maybe too tight underwear lines 😂)
It’s 4:20 and wide awake. I woke up at 3 and was totally going to sneak into the living room to watch love is blind but DD1 was in my bed and woke up with me. We’ve both been awake since despite trying to fall back asleep, so I gave up and she’s playing while I watch love is blind

@busymom247 daylight savings is so hard for the kids! Mine have been sleeping in as well but really they’re just sleeping to their normal time before daylight savings and I feel like it takes forever to get back on track! We have been forgetting and having late dinners and bedtimes. I also feel like they always seem to sleep in on days you have to be some where. Never fails lol
Another busy day here of packing and cleaning. DH finally went through some of his clothes last night and our closet looks so much nicer! I’ve been asking him for years to go through the piles of clothes in laundry baskets and the closet. Should have moved a long time ago lol I told him if he hasn’t seen it in over a year he needs to just donate it! I’m also seeing how awesome minimalist lifestyle is because keeping the rooms I’ve gone through picked up has been so much easier since going through everything and packing some things away. I’m thinking I’ll be donating even more things when we move. If we didn’t need it for a month then maybe we don’t need it.
I'm doing a 30 day minimizing challenge, to get rid of unused things in our home- and today is day 2. Day 1 you get rid of one item, day 2 you get rid of two.. I posted what I'd like to get rid of on FB and yesterday my hair salon claimed an unopened landline phone (raffle prize 6 months ago) and I had a friend claim my old desk and a set of coasters. Yay for getting rid of clutter! 🎉🎉
I think by the end of 30 days you end up getting rid of 420 items or something like that? Clutter makes my anxiety AWFUL so I'm excited for this!
Also, last night my daughter brought up getting on birth control to help regulate her periods, which come like every 2 weeks, and as soon as our office opens I will call to get her seen, but it seems so strange to be having a baby at the same time my daughter is starting birth control.
Ugh yes quality sleep is hard to come by these days. I feel like I toss and turn all night, waking up every half hour or so. And then this morning DH got up a little before me to shower and I hit snooze on my alarm but the damn cat would NOT STOP meowing outside the bathroom door and I was filled with rage lol.
Also, we had someone from a moving company come give an estimate this morning and I've never been so embarrassed at the state of my house lol. There's just shit everywhere and I kept apologizing as we moved room to room. We went into the room where my cat's litter box is and I realized that the cat puked on the rug (no idea when it happened, oops), so I had to apologize for that too ::facepalm::
+1 for a bad sleep night! I was in bed at 9:45pm and didn't fall asleep until close to 1:00am. I've been trying to limit my caffeine (I completely cut it out while pregnant with DD), but I'm going to have a big ol' mug of coffee this morning.

@meanjellybean I'm sure they've seen worse. For a year after high school my husband delivered furniture and appliances in Milwaukee and he said some of those places were so gross he'd walk back out and puke. I'd say as long as that didnt happen then you're good!

I'm still rocking a non corona head cold (sidebar, every time I hear the word corona I vaguely want a cold beer and warm weather) and am working from home today which means I'll likely be bored out of my skull but beats dirty looks on the train and in the coworking space.
I think I'm going to try to cut my tylenol pm dose this evening and take half a tablet, I've taken 1 before bed for the past 3 nights and even though I know it's fine to take but I want to try and wean off given the outside chance of asthma, ADHD and autism in children. Well aware this is a ridiculous abundance of caution but also it's not like it's making my cold much better, it's just making it so I can sleep through it. Am I crazy? Should I just keep taking a normal dose? Also debating calling my OBGYN but I don't have a fever so it doesn't seem worth it.
My coworker is having some kind of pain somewhere... I'm not sure where. Maybe his back? Anyway, I just overheard this:
Coworker 1: yeah.... I put this stuff called (insert product name) on there. It burns the skin a little when you put it on there Coworker 2: Is it like Bengay? Coworker 1: no.... it's made for horses. My dad used it and said it worked so I got to using too and it seems to help.
Coworker 1 works in the warehouse, has a thiiiick southern accent, drives a 20ish yo bright yellow truck, and loves NASCAR and Jack Daniels.... just to give you a visual. He's a really nice guy. We all like him a lot. But some of the shit that comes out of his mouth cracks me up.
@pocketrose I haven't ever heard of those risks with Tylenol PM and, tbh, don't buy into the ADHD or autism claims for stuff like that. That being said, Tylenol PM is just Benadryl and Tylenol. The Benadryl is probably helping you with sleep so you could take just that if you feel more comfortable having the meds separated? Or just take Tylenol if you feel like the symptom relief would be enough to help.
ETA- I'm traveling for work later this week and DH has a cold that I'm prob going to catch. I swear, I'm going to come back with a cold and my boss and at least one of my coworkers is going to act like they're worried about me maybe having COVID-19 ::eye roll:: I'm ready to let my boss know if he wants to approve for me to WFH, I'm happy to quarantine myself lol

I’m f*cking miserable and have to lead a big call this afternoon in my coworkers absence so I just went to Walgreens to get some Sudafed. The pharmacist judged me SO HARD and said the only form of congestion relief during pregnancy should be like a Neti pot or some other thing she mentioned. I was like ok well I’m gonna get this (plain Sudafed) and I felt like she was looking at me like wow ok you really care about your baby.
If I didn’t have to do this call at 3:30 and go into the office for my second screen (I’m sure everyone will hate me), I would 100% just take a PTO day. Blah.

@footdrbritt yessss to the dislike for smoking. I just don't get it and never have (I've never smoked a cigarette). DH used to smoke cigarettes and now uses a vape thing (not one of the big ones that blows a big plume of vapor... one that's a bit more discreet) and I still really hate it b/c who TF knows what's going to happen to these people vaping, years down the road. But, in Vegas, one of our friends bought a pack of cigarettes and I was soooo annoyed that DH was smoking those periodically too. Like, why are you being so stupid?! He won't change his habits until something happens to him. ::eye roll::

Sleeping in is nice but today he has second day of eval and regardless he has morning school Mon-Thursday.

Coworker 1: yeah.... I put this stuff called (insert product name) on there. It burns the skin a little when you put it on there

Coworker 1: no.... it's made for horses. My dad used it and said it worked so I got to using too and it seems to help.
Coworker 1 works in the warehouse, has a thiiiick southern accent, drives a 20ish yo bright yellow truck, and loves NASCAR and Jack Daniels.... just to give you a visual. He's a really nice guy. We all like him a lot. But some of the shit that comes out of his mouth cracks me up.
ETA- I'm traveling for work later this week and DH has a cold that I'm prob going to catch. I swear, I'm going to come back with a cold and my boss and at least one of my coworkers is going to act like they're worried about me maybe having COVID-19 ::eye roll:: I'm ready to let my boss know if he wants to approve for me to WFH, I'm happy to quarantine myself lol
in other news: at my OB and why does it smell like everyone is an ash tray. It’s gross. We’re all pregnant here and sensitive. It’s 2020. (I’m sorry if you smoke but it’s one thing I’m going to harp on until the day I die because I’ve cut too many feet off in smokers with vascular disease 🤷🏻♀️)
If I didn’t have to do this call at 3:30 and go into the office for my second screen (I’m sure everyone will hate me), I would 100% just take a PTO day. Blah.
@footdrbritt yessss to the dislike for smoking. I just don't get it and never have (I've never smoked a cigarette). DH used to smoke cigarettes and now uses a vape thing (not one of the big ones that blows a big plume of vapor... one that's a bit more discreet) and I still really hate it b/c who TF knows what's going to happen to these people vaping, years down the road. But, in Vegas, one of our friends bought a pack of cigarettes and I was soooo annoyed that DH was smoking those periodically too. Like, why are you being so stupid?! He won't change his habits until something happens to him. ::eye roll::
@mehugg probably lol... just kidding. DD was down to one wake a night by the time I went back to work... which, when you go from several in the beginning to 1, it's like nothing and super easy lol.
