Sciatic pain, migraines, feeling full all the time! Still can't shake the pure exhaustion. And nausea is back. Woo! 1/3 of the way there. . . Still overall, feeling much better than I did with DS
Sooo... being pregnant has actually made me way more regular than I was before, but I've definitely noticed things are finally slowing down the past few days. Going to try Natural Calm the next few nights and then I have Colase if that doesn't do the trick.
I also noticed a black dot on my areola yesterday (close to my nipple). I tried squeezing it thinking it was a blackhead but nothing came out. I messaged my dr. about it this am, and google indicates it's normal, but wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this. I know in general that area gets darker, but this is definitely a spot v. a general/all-over pigmentation change.
Worrying about some spotting that I had yesterday. The first wipe was like period blood then after that it was a light light pink...this morning, nothing so far... anyone else having any problems with bleeding in the second trimester?
@AuntieCre5 if you repost this on the spotting/bleeding thread you might get more of an immediate response/support! People might miss it if its in this thread!
I had 1st and 2nd ttri bleeding with DD and everything turned out fine/they didnt know what caused it but I would call your doctor and just let them know. They might want to do an US just to make sure everything looks ok and provide you some peace of mind. Hang in there! Sorry you are going through this!
I can't stop crying. I cry over nothing. I cry over EVERYTHING. MH has promised me tonight we can cuddle on the couch and watch whatever I need to trigger the sobbing so I can just hopefully sob it out tonight. Other than the constant flow of tears, MAN my right lower abdomen is achy. This child is enjoying all the extra space DD left when she made my right side her favorite place to be. I feel like I just can't stretch out my hips enough right now. 16 weeks and counting here I guess.....
@kdale2613 Ugh the migraines 😖 2nd day I’ve woken up with one.
@RedBaramid I’m with you on the non stop crying. Hot mess express over here 🙋🏼♀️!! MH haaaates it and it makes me feel worse 😞 just a rollercoaster of emotions!
Also, my tummy has been feeling so stretched/tight at times!! Hip pains too! I’ve been waking up to having a numb arm. I think it could be because I’m on my back/right side so I correct myself when I wake and readjust my small wedge pillow. I think it’s just about that time for me to invest in a full blown prego pillow.
Yesterday I had some major cramping and contractions and today seems to be more of the same, sigh. Waiting on the my dr to open from lunch so I can call them. Hanging on by a thread thanks to PGAL brain.
Headaches no matter how much water I drink, exhausted still nauseous all the time. Also my belly is SO big for 16 weeks and I have to pee every 10-30 minutes. Oh also sciatica pain this baby is working hard to assure this really is my last pregnancy.
@MrsWheeler yes to the headaches no matter how hydrated I am! @RedBaramid add me to the can't stop crying group. I cried at work on friday (thankfully have my own bathroom in my office) after someone asked if I was okay. I was okay. But I still cried after they asked.
I've been dealing with some really intense pain above my pubic bone. Google makes me think its SPD. I have a support belt from previous pregnancy and I broke that out to wear around the house but it's too bulky to wear at work. Hopefully this is something I can manage and doesn't get worse as belly gets bigger!
15W- sciatica pain is unreal right now & heartburn, although partially self inflicted as spicy food is all i crave right now, everything gets hot sauce added!!!
@RedBaramid Yup, me too I'm crying... Crying over commercials and last week on the way to work when the radio hosts gave a (very well deserving) woman a cruise for her entire family.
@wildrainbow Hope that calms down a bit and isn't anything major! Sending positive vibes.
I'm beginning to experience RLP and stretching/crampiness... also what feels like pressure on my cervix (?) - this was really bad this morning, but calmed a bit. I don't know where baby is positioned and hoping things are just moving to make room. Still so damn tired with a stuffy nose for months at this point.

I have a weird one that may or may not be related to pregnancy...Jaw pain? I have never had this prior but this week I have been waking up in the middle of the night with what seems like TMJ. Anyone else have this or hear of it being related?
I'm not feeling too bad at the moment. I need to pee all the time, I'm tired, I want to eat all the food and my skin has gone very dry especially on my hands and lips.
@ziggymama06 I can't remember the last time I didn't have a stuffy nose.
@maelove I could be related to relaxin making you jaw more stretchy so it's going out of joint a bit at night. It's very easy to pull different joints, mucles etc when pregnant. I've currently got rib strain from coughing but I'm sure that if I wasn't pregant I wouldn't have injured anything.
I mostly feel pretty good, but this morning had to sit down in the shower because I felt like I was about to pass out. It was so weird -- I'd done a 20 minute workout and then walked the dog, and handled all of that fine, but 30 seconds of washing my hair with my arms above heart level did me in. Hoping for no repeat.
Sorry for all the new/lingering aches and pains. And tears! I feel you all on those. ETA @wildrainbow I am thinking of you and hoping you were able to have a reassuring conversation with your doctor earlier today.
@RedBaramid Yes! All the crying. All the time. But also feeling every emotion to the max. Like it goes from tears to pure rage in seconds and then back. Lol. @wildrainbow Hoping everything is okay. Please keep us updated! Also just curious if anyone else is freezing like all the time? Not sure if it's pregnancy related. I've been keeping my house extra warm, but still feel the need for lots of layers and blankets. Family thinks I'm crazy.
@kdale2613 I've been cold, too! And seemingly more so the later in the day it is? Didn't even think about it being pregnancy-related, but I guess what isn't these days.
@cornichonmam I'm glad I'm not the only one, but jeez is it annoying. Perhaps its a blessing in disguise bc I haven't really been able to smell all the things... just randomly here and there. I did read last night that the stuffiness could get worse in second tri... ugh.
@emiliadkay Jeez, that's scary. Try to take it easy and let yourself rest in between tasks. If I do too much running around without sitting I get super nauseous. Also, I made breakfast tacos for dinner last night hahahaha... I added a pepper this time. What is your go-to recipe?
@kdale2613 Add me to the list of freezing all the time!! To be fair I was always cold pre-pg, but now it seems extreme. It's been happening since the beginning and I read that it could be from a slightly increased body temperature which causes your surroundings to feel colder than usual.

The back pain, ugh, it's too early for this!!! I've got an anterior placenta and my doctor said that may be why I'm having more back pain than with the other two. It sucks!
Still exhausted and suffering from off and on insomnia.
Plus the heartburn, but I'm not sure if that's from the baby or me just getting old LOL
@emiliadkay It might be low blood pressure. I had it from around this time in my last pregnancy and it's common in the 2nd trimester. I've had a few episodes so far this time too, which isn't surprising as I had my BP taken at my appointment today and it's already gone down a bit. Look after yourself, I fond that drinking a lot of water and keeping cool helped to keep it stable.
The lightening crotch is REAL. I'm hoping it means good growth is happening and what not but OUCH. I've been keeping myself hydrated and trying to keep moving around but the sudden sprints of pain running up my crotch is killing me here!
This is an odd one but I have tinnitus and I’m convinced it’s pregnancy related. I can hear my own heartbeat in my left eat, esp when I move around too much, climb stairs, get anxious or exercise. My ears have also been been getting blocked frequently making me hear my own inner sounds (breathing, swallowing, voice etc) super loud. It’s driving me crazy! So far I’ve read that this could last all pregnancy, but will be seeing an ENT specialist soon to find out more....also, unrelated, but I feel my heartbeat in my belly when I place my hand there. No movements yet though 😔
anyone else still puking? With my first I didn’t puke but had a lot of nausea that was gone by 17 weeks or so. With this one I’m almost 18 weeks and it’s not getting better.
@roo_baby I'm still pretty regularly queasy(17 weeks today), but it's been a week or so since my last sacrifice to the porcelain goddess. We had suspected it was my gallbladder causing the nausea and if it was my low fat diet for the last week and half, nearly 2 weeks should have nipped that and given that I'm still queasy off and on, we'e pretty sure it's just hormones. I will say that with my first one I was still puking once or twice a week until I hit 20 weeks deep.
Evenings are still pain (say 6 pm onwards), I become very tired and uncomfortable but not as nauseous anymore. Sense of smell still very sensitive. With foods I’ve started to have trouble with red meat and many dairy products but fish is back on menu.
Crying a lot, e.g. trailers for Top Gun and Mulan, and a helicopter landing on a children’s hospital. Still, I feel sort of detached from the physical reaction. Great, since life continues to feel pretty zen, and I am hoping it will continue thoughout the pregnancy like with DS.
Anxiously waiting to feel movements and also the ”structural ultrasound” which is still weeks away.
@emiliadkay This happened to me a bunch last month, I was worried I couldn’t take a real hot shower anymore. But I’ve found that making sure I’ve eaten beforehand does the trick - I used to just drink some coffee and hop in the shower. Hopefully that helps if you find it’s a recurring problem!
@rainbow_baby9 I definitely am having the same thing! I can hear my heart beat in my left ear and I can feel it on my belly too. I honestly thought it was just me stressing about work!
Listen here pregnancy acne... I was my face and moisturize regularly... go away. I never had acne before I had kids this is awful. I'm even avoiding make up a being mindful about face touching.
@rainbow_baby9 & @maggied26 I am in the same boat with the hearing myself in my ears. In the past for me it's meant I was dehydrated but I drink water like a fish all day. It's been really bad to the point I just dont want to talk or I constantly trying to get my ears to pop (which makes it worse or causes a headache) since I can hear my breathing all day long. I totally forgot to mention it to my ob when I was there monday.
@RedBaramid This is the first pregnancy that my skin has actually been in better shape. Usually, it just makes my already temperamental skin break out beyond recognition. Unfortunately, even the best skincare routines don't always trump raging hormones. I'm sorry you're dealing with this! Hopefully you find something that helps calm things down!
@RedBaramid & @maelove add me to the group! I very rarely deal with acne, maybe a zit here and there. But now my face is red and patchy and has multiple zits all over. Trying to up my water intake to help? I just want to feel pretty!!
Anyone else having back pain you would normally associate with 30+ weeks not 17? I can barely get off my couch after work. I don't even do any heavy lifting at work I have a cushy office chair and a box to keep my feet up but by 12 my back feels like I'm about to go into labor...
@mrswheeler812 Yes, my hips and back hurt so bad and are stiff all the time. I don't do heavy lifting at work and have mostly a desk-job. If I fall asleep on the couch or don't sleep it a pillow between my legs, I have major regret. I think I've said it previously too that I don't remember hurting this early last time I was PG.
