- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies? My partner and I have been together 6 years. This is our first baby and we have a 8 yo long haired Chihuahua.
- What do you/partner do for a living? I'm an Inventory Control & HSE Manager. MH is an electrician and rope access technician. So he does electrical work hanging off ropes at the oil refinery. He also has a few other trades but those two are his main ones. He likes to keep busy. We also have a few rental properties and I have a business making Malas and bracelets.
- Hobbies, things you are really into, etc. I love yoga and MH and I love to hike. We live near the mountains and got into back country hiking/camping this past summer. I paint and make string art. I also make my own beauty products and have a goal to get my certificate in making natural skincare products.
- Anything you’d like us to know. This is our first baby and the first girl in our family. I'm quite and keep to myself, I've also been told many times that I'm difficult to get to know because I don't open up very easily but I am trying to be more open. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies better!
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies? DH (together about 15 yrs and married 12.5 yrs), DD (threenager) We had a cat (hence the user pic of when DD forced him into participating in a tea party), but he passed away last June and with buying a house and expecting #2, we haven't been in a place where we wanted the responsibility of another. When we are ready, we're thinking about two so they can be kitty playmates.
- What do you/partner do for a living? I'm upper level admin, DH works in IT - both of us work for different state government offices.
- Hobbies, things you are really into, etc. Like many, I feel like I've lost a lot since having a kid. I never wanted to be that person whose kid becomes so much of her world, but here we are. I'm really good at encouraging H to get out and do things, and he tries to encourage me too, but he's the only one that gets out of the house by himself regularly. I've been toying with embroidery for a year or so now and think I could get into it, but need to actually take time to do it. I love to read and plan to join a book club next autumn when we're hopefully in more of a routine with baby and DD. Physically, I used to be into rock climbing (I did it my entire pregnancy with DD) and running - I'm really hoping I can get back into those again post-baby this time. We plan to build a climbing wall in our basement so that should help. I still do some yoga and hiking as well as archery. Also, I'm into music (we have so many instruments and DD has her own collection going, too) and a nerd (harry potter, star wars, board games, etc).
- Anything you’d like us to know LO will be grandchild #6 for my parents and they're thrilled, but also living their own lives so not overwhelming about it. We have the only grandchild on DH's side and SIL isn't planning on having any. We live 3.5 hrs away from ILs which is a day trip for MIL, who is great but emotionally needy, and I anticipate we'll be seeing her more when #2 is here - especially because SIL is moving to FL in March and she's been close at hand to MIL her entire life (she's 32). MIL is going to have a hard time with that transition.
Regarding participation, I'm really trying to step up my game, but also have been known to step away from social media, including TB, on weekends and evenings to focus on family which can make it hard to keep up.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies? Husband of almost 7 years, together for double that. Our anniversary is actually 5/25, so this is one way to treat a "7 year itch" haha. We have a 2.5 year old DD/threenager who constantly keeps us on our toes and challenges us. Parenting is hard! We have one dog, a barn cat, 40+ myotonic goats, 3 pigs, and a variety of chickens.
- What do you/partner do for a living? i'm in healthcare and husband is SAHD/farmer
- Hobbies, things you are really into, etc. Our farm/homestead takes up a lot of our time and is fun most days. We love local history and are working on a historic cemetery cataloging project, and a section of our home is an 1840s log cabin. Additionally, we've begun to collect and use vintage Pyrex.
- Anything you’d like us to know : This pregnancy had more "scares" than I ever thought it would. I've been quite self-protective and only a handful of people know. A few more weeks and I think I will feel better. The risks of preterm birth will continue but I'm grateful for every day. We just told my parents a few days ago (they live 12+ hours away). I told them it'll be a short pregnancy for them!

@jkr2019 Once babies are 6 months ish old and ready for a back carry.... one parent wears two babies, one wears one. With your then 3 year old walking, it'll still be short hikes and gentle terrain anyway!

@jkr2019 I just wanted to address @pourmeanothermocktail comment about being 6 months and ready for back carry... it depends on the carrier requirements and the child's size. I have the Lillebaby and for back carry you have to use the wide seat, my daughter is small/short (<15%) and did not fit in the wide seat until she was over 1.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies? DH and I have been married for 5.5 years. 3 kids, all girls, ages 5, 3.5, 2. LO is our final addition (not just because he's a boy).

Alright @pustiulari I have to know just because I am this person (and am so into the weirder history leading to ghosts etc), what is the craziest folklore about Transylvania that isn't true (other than vampires) but I have heard of some wild woods where people disappear and that it is overall a deeply superstitious area.
I’m super late to the party...TB app is such a pain. - EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 4, but my c section is scheduled for 4/28.
- Where are you located?
In the land of retirees, SWFL
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies?

DH is an ER doctor, I’m a SAHM.
- Hobbies, things you are really into, etc.

@mamaj1220@TattoosandLace You funny Unfortunately the mystery disappears a bit once you live here. There's the famous Bran castle that was used in the Dracula movie based on Bram Stoker's book and the Ghost Woods nearby that is supposed to be haunted because it's foggier than its surroundings, but there are rather more car crashes than anything else there. Maybe because of the ghosts? Other than that we have a great landscape, old Saxon citadels, fortified churches, a few castles... I'd say it's one if the most beautiful (and safe) parts of Romania.
For the sake of your curiosity though, I searched for some info on the most haunted place in Transylvania and came accross this one several times (thank goodness for google translate, otherwise it would have taken a long time to translate all this into English)
Banffy Castle
The estate was donated to the Bánffy family by King Sigismund of Luxembourg in 1387. It is suspected that, on this place, there was a noble residence as early as the 14th century, and in 1437 Baron Banffy received permission from King Albert to build a fortress, which was completed in 1543.
Between 1437 and 1543, the Banffy family built a castle with four bastions, where the family lived until 1944, when they were evacuated by the Germans, who wanted to transform the castle into a military hospital. They managed this, and the palace functioned as a military hospital until the end of the war. During this time, many soldiers died inside the castle, either because of their wounds or because of the diseases they suffered. After the war, a part of the castle was used for an agricultural cooperative, after which the building served as a warehouse for various materials.
Due to its architectural beauty, the Banffy Castle is nicknamed the "Versailles of Transylvania", but the thing for which it became truly known is the ghosts. Much of the damage to the castle was done by the Germans, when they used the building as a military hospital. Their presence at the castle has inspired the games of children from the village for years. They gathered there in the evening to play war. The boys who were sent by their parents with their sheep flocks to graze, brought the animals to a floor of the castle from where they could not descend, and then invented all kinds of war games. Involuntarily, in the midst of the "battles" many of them witnessed some bizarre events, when some transparent creatures appeared, dressed in soldiers' uniforms. Many saw silhouettes of German soldiers and people in crutches appearing, disappearing or walking through the castle walls. Legend has it that this castle is the most haunted place in Romania.
