I first joined the Bump in 2014 when I was pregnant with my daughter. I rejoined about a month ago and have just been lurking in the community for the last 72 hours due to the wait! Anywho, I'm excited to join you 🙂
Due Date: August 15th, 2020
How did you find out?: Felt sick about 7 days before AF was due. It was negative. Tested day AF was due and thought I saw a squinter but a follow up FRER was negative. Decided to stop torturing myself, especially as I had a recent chemicle preg. When AF was 6 days late and got a positive digital.
Jobs?: HR & Corp compliance
Hobbies: Reading, binge watching TV shows, and napping lol.
Other children/pregnancies?: I have a 4yo daughter. We have been trying for #2 for a year.
Pets?: German Shepherd/Collie named Sasha and a kitty named Tiger. Both rescues.
Spouse? Married 8 years, together for 14.
Anything else to share? I'm happy to see some fellow Canadians here! I'm in Ontario.
I'm also high-risk so I'm thrilled but a little anxious about being pregnant!
Hey all! Have been on the app since we found out 12/15, so a little late posting here!!!
Due date? As of now, Aug 21st. Our first prenatal visit and ultrasound will be Jan 16th.
How did you find out? I had my IUD removed over the summer because it was becoming imbedded in the wall of my uterus (for the second time in 3 years); my experiences with hormonal BC have been bad in the past (previous 10+ year use). Additionally, I took a Modern Fertility teat that indicated some of my hormone levels were low... I’m 33 and we were planning on trying starting March of this year, so we opted for me to stay off the pill and we’ve been rolling the dice with the old “pull out” method. Well... honey has super sperm, because my December period date came and went (I’m 28-days like clock work), but my breasts were feeling tender/swollen. I knew something was up. I got out of work at the hospital on a Sunday, they day after I was supposed to get my period, stopped at the grocery store to buy a test, and had to pee sooo bad I just took it right there in the ladies room. It was immediately and very boldly positive. We had that initial “WHAT?!” moment... but now are insanely excited for everything coming our way (amongst other emotions.. lol).
Job? I’m an inpatient occupational therapist in an acute care hospital
Other children/pregnancies? Just two fur babies!!!
Pets? Two cats, Luna and Neville. She’ll be 2 in may, he’s about 8 months. My guy is amazing and was on litter box duty long before we even found out about our little.
Spouse? Not married yet; together for 3+ years and living together for over two, engaged, but will be waiting to have a wedding til after this baby’s been born!
Anything else interesting? I’m a little over 7 weeks. My breasts are massive (already a full C and I’ve been a baby B forever) and HURT LIKE HECK! The nausea has been unreal, despite my eating blandish meals, smaller more frequent meals, and trying all things ginger. I’ve ordered some acupressure wrist bands but am skeptical. Have heard acupuncture is beneficial, but wondering if it’s too early? Also already stressing about maternity leave, daycare, and the like. And the constipation.... ughhhh. But still, so excited for this little guy or girl to keep growing and growing!!
PS: have changed my user name but it hasn’t updated yet!
I have been on the app for a bit, but it's finally letting me post.
Due Date - 8/20/20 based on baby's measurements during our first ultrasound.
How did you find out? - My husband's birthday was 12/16 and I thought I was coming down with the flu. I was super tired, nauseous, and had an awful headache. Laid down and took a nap and when I woke up, the possibility of pregnancy popped into my head. I was late, but hadn't thought much of it since I haven't been regular since coming off the pill in April. We also had a very early miscarriage at the end of August and my ob/gyn had advised waiting a cycle to try again. Well, we waited one cycle and looks like it's a go! I took the test on 12/17 while at work and wrapped it up to give to him as part of his one-day-late birthday gift.
Job? - IT Technical Recruiter for a large bank
Hobbies? -Traveling (have been to almost 30 countries), Being outside with our dog, reading, Netflix, mushroom foraging (weird, I know, but if you want to learn more let me know!)
Other children/pregnancies - one miscarriage
Pets - One adorable pit bull mix, 2 calico cats
Spouse - Married for 4.5 years, together for 12. We met on move-in day at college and started dating 2 weeks later. I was still 17 and it blows my mind when I see girls that age and think that I met my life partner then! He's a teacher in a small, private high school in a program he started. He's one of the kindest, most genuine people I know and he will be a great father.
Anything else interesting? - based on due date, we may have conceived after my brother-in-law's wedding 🙊 Should make for a fun conversation when someone works out the math.
Hey there! Due date is Aug 23. This is #5 for me. I’m in shock. We got pregnant while using bc so I’m more than surprised to say the least! But blessings abound. I have a 9yo DS, 7yo DD, 4yo DS and 19 mo old DS.
@caseamundo Dh and I met in 6th grade and started “going out” in 7th. We broke up in 8th for a few months but that was it. We’ve been together almost 22 years. I teach middle school now and it’s wild to see my students at that age.
Due date? 8/12 How did you find out? Noticed my boobs getting bigger, period was late, peed on a stick and it said pregnant Job: I work in IT Hobbies: Reading
Other children/pregnancies? Yes, 1 kid Pets? 1 cat, 1 dog Spouse: DH and I have been together 15 years, married for 7 years
Due date? 8/31 based on LMP How did you find out? Symptom spotting like crazy post ovulation - 2 BFN on 12/20 and a BFP on 12/22 in time for Christmas! Job? higher education

Pets? 4y/o black lab
Spouse? Commercial Real Estate and the best dad-to-be!
Anything else interesting? Dying to get to my first U/S on the 9th. Haven't felt as many symptoms as last pregnancy and have had some spotting so super worried but taking it day by day.
Excited to finally be a part of a group as I've been lurking
allowing myself to intro since I just had my viability ultrasound!
Due date: August 22
We had “stopped preventing” pregnancy but didn’t expect anything since it took 18 months of calculated trying for DS. But I knew I was pregnant before I took the test bc I had increased taste/smell/gag reflex. We got pregnant on the first try. I was more than surprised.
Hey! I kept planning to hop in here but things have just been too crazy with the holidays. Also- I am super long-winded so I will try to contain myself...
Due date?
8/28 based on LMP, 8/31 based on ovulation.
How did you find out?
DH and I have been trying for almost a year and this was our first cycle using OPKs so I guess they worked! About a week before Christmas I was so exhausted, I was like "I'd better be pregnant or dying if I am this tired." Got a BFN then but re-tested about a week later on Christmas Eve and got a BFP! I wrapped the test for DH to open on Christmas (I put it in a ziploc first, because ew).
Job?
Currently a SAHM but have worked in the real estate field for the last 10 years (first in marketing, then in appraisals). I was actually planning on starting work part time again this year but who knows now!
Hobbies?
I rarely have time to do anything these days but I like to create things (art, pottery, sewing), cooking and baking, board and video games, etc.
Other children/pregnancies?
My first pregnancy ended with a MMC at 9 weeks. Then I had DD Feb 2018, so she will be 2 next month. She is such a firecracker, which is great but very tiring!
Pets?
I have a grumpy old orange rescue cat.
Spouse?
DH is 35 and a program manager for a tech company. He is mostly able to work from home which is awesome! We've been together for over 12 years (wow, that makes me feel old) and married for almost 2.
Anything else interesting?
I'm trying not to be a creepy lurker and actually participate this time around! With DD's pregnancy I had major loss brain and kept waiting to participate on her BMB (Jan 2018) until it was "safe" (like, third trimester safe). At that point everyone had hopped to a private group. So despite the fact that I'm pretty familiar with how this board is organized, actually using the interface is new, so hopefully I won't make too many newbie mistakes.
(Edit: somehow this ended up with a bunch of extra spaces which I have no idea how to fix, so clearly I am rocking this newbie thing...)
Due Date? August 25 according to my last period but haven't had an ultrasound yet.
How did I find out? I started birth control for the first time since I've been married, just waiting for my husband to get a vasectomy. Then he started panicking that I hadn't had my period, so I took a test to prove to him that I wasn't pregnant. And BANG, positive!
Job? Currently I am a stay at home Mum. Before that I was a nursing tech working towards my RN.
Hobbies? I love writing fiction short stories. And I started dabbling in photography recently.
Other children/ pregnancies? Oh boy! We have 4 kids. Boys aged 6, 4, and 2. Our 4 year old is newly diagnosed autistic so we're all learning how to handle that. And a baby girl who is 3 months! We thought we were done. This is our surprise baby!
Pets? We have a 6 year old dachshund mix that we rescued. Then 7 rescue cats between 6 years and 6 months. We may be crazy!
Spouse? My husband and I have been together almost 11 years. We are high school sweethearts. We went to separate high schools but we were neighbors. He asked me to prom and I said yes. I had just broken up with my boyfriend and told myself we were just going as friends. Well, 11 years, 5 kids, and a house later we're still together.
Anything else interesting? I am a boring person. I spend my days taking care if babies and animals but I love it. We're major geeks, we love Marvel and Harry Potter and Star Wars. I'm a firm believer in the paranormal and I want my children to grow up believing in fairies and goblins. I'm hoping in the next couple of years to start home schooling my babies. And eventually move to a more rural area and start a farm.
How did you find out? I had a miscarriage in mid November after five weeks had not gotten a period. I took a test and it turned out I had gotten pregnant again almost immediately!

TBD either the end of August or early September. But I was told I was about 5 weeks on 1/7/20.
How did you find out? I had really bad anxiety one night that took me to the ER and after a bunch of tests and xrays they found out I was pregnant.
Job? Case Worker
Hobbies? Spending time with my kids.
Other children/pregnancies? This is my 4th pregnancy and it always feels like the 1st time. Lol I have a 14yr old, 13yr old, and 2yr old... All boys. First 2 are from my previous marriage and my 2 yr old and my pregnancy are from my live in boyfriend.
Pets? None
Spouse? My boyfriend is so excited. We have been together 3years and were hoping to get married this year but now with this pregnancy we have to put it on hold a bit longer.
Anything else interesting? I am a Virgo and I'm really hoping it's a girl this time. 💝
How did you find out? This was our 2nd month trying. I honestly had thought we didn’t time everything correctly, but my boobs started to get really sore. We tested on Thanksgiving morning and got the positive. I had expected it was going to take a few months so this was a pleasant surprise.
Job: Strategy and operations management for an e-commerce company
Hobbies? Travel and cooking. I love to garden in the warmer months mostly to be outdoors, but am still trying to get the hang of it.
Other Children/Pregnancies: None. This is our first.

Spouse: Been together for over 10 years and married for 2. He works in a similar field. He’s my best friend and has already been so wonderful and supportive throughout this process. I’m really excited to be starting our family together.
Other: I’m a bit of a worrier and realist. I will be 10 weeks on Monday and despite 2 ultrasounds that have looked good, I’m hesitant to get too attached until our 12 week ultrasound. I’ll feel so much better once we know everything is ok!
How did you find out?: We were at my husbands company holiday party and I wasn’t feeling like drinking. Everything sounded gross. I had a couple glasses of champagne and a day later felt so bloated I couldn’t handle it. Took a test and voila!

Spouse? My husband is a real estate agent. I love how he has the flexibility to be here with me when I need him.
How did you find out? I missed my period in December. I bought a home pregnancy test the night before I had to drive my mom to the airport at 5am. I ended up taking it before she woke up at her place and have kept it a secret since! It was early and I had to tell the hubby first!
Job? Physical Therapist
Hobbies? Breweries (unfortunately now), weightlifting, watching movies with my husband
Other children/pregnancies? Noooope! This is our first!
Pets? 2 boy kitties who are going to be incredibly curious when they meet their new sibling.
Spouse? 2 years married, 9 years together.
Anything else interesting? Skol! Minnesota girl at heart. Excited to watch everyone go through this great time!
Hello! I’ve been waiting and waiting to join in, but I didn’t have an official due date until today (irregular periods). My due date is 8/26/2020. I run a small (one room) independent middle school with my friend. I have two other children (nick)named Peach (almost 8) and Maple (3). I’m in a polyamorous relationship with two wonderful partners. I was very involved in my BMB with my first (under a different username, lost my login info though) and am still very close with them. I wasn’t really on the bump at all for my second, but I want to rejoin for this one.
Hi everyone! It’s about time I come and introduce myself.... I’ve been lurking but am a very anxious mama in the first trimester after a previous loss so I had to wait until I’d had an ultrasound in order to feel comfortable enough to join in!
Due date? August 31st
How did you find out? One of the biggest shocks of my life! Haha! I have always struggled with irregular cycles and infertility so I assumed I couldn’t get pregnant without fertility meds (all 3 of my precious pregnancies were conceived after 1-2 years of trying, and fertility meds). I didn’t have any type of cycle back after having my daughter last March (she just turned 10 mos old this week) and getting pregnant was the last thing on my mind. I ended up tearing just to “rule it out” because I’ve been SO EXHAUSTED since mid December. I figured it was an issue with my thyroid. Nope! Pregnant! I almost fell over I was so surprised. I was about 6 weeks along by the time I found out (didn’t know that until a few days later when I had an ultrasound). We definitely didn’t plan on having another baby so soon (we weren’t actually decided on whether we wanted 3!) but we’re very excited now
Other children/pregnancies? 3 previous pregnancies and 2 daughters - 3.5 and 10 months. *TW* The pregnancy in between them was an ectopic pregnancy.
Pets? 2 cats
Spouse? Yep, married for 6.5 years.
Anything else interesting? I just can’t believe we are going to do this all again! I am a Canadian mom so I have 1 year of maternity leave, which I’m still on. This means I’ll be going back to work 4 months pregnant! Gulp! Also I was part of the March 2019 bump group and have made some great friends on there, who I still chat with daily on Facebook. It feels SO odd to be joining another bump group so soon! But I’m happy to be here!
Hi y'all! I've been lurking & have finally decided to take the plunge! Due date? August 10th
How did you find out? DH and I had been pumping ourselves up for trying for #2 for a few months (our DS is so sweet but a horrible sleeper) & since DS was a surprise I thought it would take a while...but it turns out that wasn't the case! I tested 4 days before AF and saw a faint line. We were both in disbelief so I tested again with a digital 2 days later and it was confirmed on Thanksgiving day! Job? Speech Language Pathologist for the schools.... mainly for the summers off 😎
Hobbies? Pre mom life it was singing....now its building play-dough ramps for monster truck races (among other things!) with DS
Other children/pregnancies? 1 son, just turned 3
Spouse? Yes, this year we will have been together for 10 years and married for 5!
Anything else interesting? Confession- my girlfriend was on her BMB for both of her pregnancies and would always rave about her 'internet friends.' Anyway, she faced some hardships and her mom friends from the bump reached out to her in the sweetest ways (words of encouragement, flowers, care packages, etc.) & I thought that was really awesome and a testament of really supportive women you can meet from all over! So, I'm getting out of my lurker shell and am looking forward to getting to know y'all!
How I found out: I’d been using Clue to track my periods & ovulation. I was supposed to start my period on the first day of a big work conference, but it didn’t come that day... or the next... or the next...

How did you find out? I was at work and needed to figure out insurance situation and I was a week late so I figured I’d take a test to make sure. How did you find out? I've been thinking for awhile and started trying as a SMC this past summer. After 3 failed IUIs, I tried IVF. I had my egg retrieval on 11/13, did PGT-A testing on my embryos (I'm 39 and AMA) did a frozen embryo transfer on 12/9. It stuck (yay!!) and I had a positive blood test on 12/19 - I was completely shocked since I'd been having cramping and thought I was going to start my period. I elected not to find out the gender, so it will be a surprise!
Job? I've been a neonatal ICU nurse for 13 years.
Hobbies? I sing with a Chorale and recently signed up for a sewing class. I've also been fostering cats + kittens since last April with a local rescue, but will likely take a break from fostering for the time being. Still planning on helping out with other things for the rescue though
Other children/pregnancies? Nope, this is my first.

Due date: Aug 27

Due date? 8/13
How did you find out? My (sometimes irregular) period was a little late and I had sore boobs and a strong reaction to raw meat. I didn't think I was pregnant - it took a long time to conceive with my first - but I decided to take a test when I was working from home one day to rule it out. The first person I told when I saw the positive test was my dog! Had to wait to tell my husband until he got home from work.

Hey all! I never got around to the introduction page and had been posting, here’s a little about me!
First time Momma from Ont, Canada ✌🏼
Due Date: Aug 3
How did you find out?:DH and I had been ttc for about a year. I knew there would be a possibility of it not happening for a few months due to getting off of birth control but having been that much time I was starting to worry. My period was like clockwork, and usually always “unusual” (light months and very bad months). Around my birthday, late October I had another unusual period. Then just a couple days of spotting in November. One night I mentioned to DH I should test, he got home with a test that night. I tested and it was a *faint* positive. Took another test the next morning and it was Neg. We went to the clinic where I was tested and sure enough found out I was actually 7 weeks pregnant. The nurse said the moment she put the sample in the machine it light up positive.
Jobs: I’ve had my cleaning company for 8 years and I also work for our local school board.
Hobbies:Cooking, Cleaning, Working, Concerts & road trips. Oh I’m big on DIY’s.
Other children/ pregnancies:Our first baby
Pets:One sweet 100lb ball of love, pup whom is going on 4 yrs!
Spouse:Married to my husband for 9 years this year.
Random:In November my hormones were going off and hubby is always the one to take the heat. I had just been spotting and hadn’t found out i was pregnant so I apologized and said “it’s just that time of the month hunny”. Well, he went out and got me a bouquet of flowers with a card that read “Get Well Soon” to help cheer me up lol 😂
Hi all! First time momma here. Nice to meet you all
Due Date: 8/24/2020
How did you find out? I went to my PCP for a checkup as I had recently found out I am a BRCA2 mutation carrier. Was looking to see what birth control I could get on as certain BC's are said to increase breast cancer (which I need to be very wary of due to the gene). Ha! Little did I know I was already 8 weeks pregnant. They took a blood test to check on my thyroid levels and although I told my doc there was no chance of pregnancy, they checked HCG levels as well. Got a call that Friday stating I was pregnant. I went from scheduling my mastectomy to scheduling an ultrasound. Life is pretty wild.
Job: Communications Coordinator/Social Media Manager for a construction union.
Hobbies: Creating skincare products, natural teas, yoga, reading. Mostly just sleep nowadays, though
Other children/pregnancies? First pregnancy here.
Pets:
Three cats. My fiance and I decided kids were probably not in the cards for us due to my gene, so we recently adopted two kittens. I've had my 8 yr old since I was a freshman in high school (24 next month). Can't wait to see how they all react to a baby!
Spouse? My fiance and I have been engaged since 9/1/18, and planned to marry on 6/20/20. After much discussion, we cancelled the big wedding as I am from WI (currently live in NH) and will be too far along to fly. We are doing a small ceremony in our backyard instead. Of course never my ideal picture of a wedding, but it is perfect for us.
Hi Everyone! I am finally able to post. So sorry if this is a little late 😊
Due date?August 15, 2020
How did you find out? I actually think it’s a little funny how I found out. My SO and I had been talking about having a baby as we’ve been Dating for well over 6 years. We tried for 7 months and I was starting to think the worst. I know other people try for longer and even though I’ve only been trying for half a year every negative test would make me feel bad and like my body just wasn’t working right. So December 3, 2019 I decided to take a test, just because I was 3 days late and thought “eh why not”. So I took the test and went back to doing some homework and house cleaning when I looked at the clock and a few hours had gone by. I went to the bathroom expecting to see a negative, but boy was I wrong there she was a big ole positive. I was in shock I called my brothers immediately (I don’t have many friends) so I FaceTime them and show them the test shaking and crying and they came over and started plotting on how we were going to tell my SO. So I took a pregnancy test I figured would be negative and got a positive 🤍
Job? Was a medical assistant, but decided to do school full time
Hobbies? I enjoy reading and I know this is a little weird, but I enjoy learning about serial killers (I’m a psychology major)
Other children/pregnancies? This will be my first little peanut 🥜
Pets? 3 spoiled cats and 2 amazing doggos💕
Spouse? We are due to marry this year.
Anything else interesting? As soon as I told my SO he was going to be a dad, that weekend we went to all these baby stores and he wanted to start buying strollers and clothes for our peanut who was less than a month in the making. Also, I was told by my provider that women don’t usually find out they are pregnant just a few weeks after they’ve conceived. I was however worried because based on my last period I was supposed to be 8 weeks, but I had a CT scan done so I was very scared. Turns out I conceived right after the CT scan. Don’t know if that’s interesting but that happened and I freaked out, but everything is okay peanut is growing 💗

It was immediately and very boldly positive. We had that initial “WHAT?!” moment... but now are insanely excited for everything coming our way (amongst other emotions.. lol).

Dying to get to my first U/S on the 9th. Haven't felt as many symptoms as last pregnancy and have had some spotting so super worried but taking it day by day.
Excited to finally be a part of a group as I've been lurking
We had “stopped preventing” pregnancy but didn’t expect anything since it took 18 months of calculated trying for DS. But I knew I was pregnant before I took the test bc I had increased taste/smell/gag reflex. We got pregnant on the first try. I was more than surprised.
We have a 1.5 y/o son.
edited to add pets
Due Date?
August 25 according to my last period but haven't had an ultrasound yet.
How did I find out?

And eventually move to a more rural area and start a farm.

How did you find out? This was our 2nd month trying. I honestly had thought we didn’t time everything correctly, but my boobs started to get really sore. We tested on Thanksgiving morning and got the positive. I had expected it was going to take a few months so this was a pleasant surprise.

Due date?

How did you find out?
DH and I had been pumping ourselves up for trying for #2 for a few months (our DS is so sweet but a horrible sleeper) & since DS was a surprise I thought it would take a while...but it turns out that wasn't the case! I tested 4 days before AF and saw a faint line. We were both in disbelief so I tested again with a digital 2 days later and it was confirmed on Thanksgiving day!

Due Date: Aug 3
How did you find out?: DH and I had been ttc for about a year.

Random: In November my hormones were going off and hubby is always the one to take the heat. I had just been spotting and hadn’t found out i was pregnant so I apologized and said “it’s just that time of the month hunny”. Well, he went out and got me a bouquet of flowers with a card that read “Get Well Soon” to help cheer me up lol 😂
Job:
Communications Coordinator/Social Media Manager for a construction union.
Hobbies:
Creating skincare products, natural teas, yoga, reading. Mostly just sleep nowadays, though
Other children/pregnancies?

Pets:
My fiance and I have been engaged since 9/1/18, and planned to marry on 6/20/20. After much discussion, we cancelled the big wedding as I am from WI (currently live in NH) and will be too far along to fly. We are doing a small ceremony in our backyard instead. Of course never my ideal picture of a wedding, but it is perfect for us.
