Hi Ladies! I am going to be a first time mom and decided to try the boards because I'd love the sisterhood. (Freaking out a little)
Due date? They say 08/12/2020
How did you find out? I was 2 days late for my period and had consistent cramps for almost 2 weeks. I had also been nauseous and had other symptoms such as uncontrollable anxiety (hormones) but because I had started a new medication I kept writing off the pregnancy symptoms as medication side effects. I was at work and decided to get a pregnancy test during my break just to check it out because I was feeling lightheaded and super thirsty. Surprise! The FRER test immediately showed 2 pink lines! I was terrified and panicked and called my bf from the bathroom. Lol I had my pregnancy confirmed by a doctor 2 days later. Now I'm happy and in super nesting mode!
Job? I am a social media manager for a women's organization as well as a hostess part time
Hobbies? Singing, pinterest, creating content (it's my job but I also just enjoy it)
Other children/pregnancies? Our 1st! We didnt plan it but were both 34 and think now is as good a time as any.

Hey y’all! I haven’t been on TheBump in FOREVER but I’m attempting to bring my profile back to life with this new pregnancy.
Due date: 08/08, but that’s still not confirmed with the doctor yet.
How did we find out: a late period and a panicked pregnancy test followed by me barging out of the bathroom holding the test above my head like a deranged Statue of Liberty to show my shocked fiancé.
What do I do: I run two branches of a staffing firm (employment services). I absolutely love my job.
Hobbies: I’m a writer, actor, singer...basically if it’s artsy fartsy I do it. I’m also a huge nerd. My fiancé and I are also both haunt workers (he’s been doing this way longer than me though! I’m a newbie!).

I’m sure there’s more about me but this is already super long.
Due Date: I'm waiting until we see the doc for a more specific time, but August I'm pretty sure.
How did you find out? I was just a little bit late. I was thinking of using the one test we had at home... then hubby decided to run to the store for 2 more.

Jobs? I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who supervises a program of 7 staff doing community based mental health services for children and families.
Other children/pregnancies? First one for me. 2ns child for my partner but he wasn't involved in the pregnancy of his daughter because the mom didn't tell him. We planned this baby but still low key freaking out.

We were planning it and I took a test a couple days after my missed period
Job?
Surgical tech

Married
Anything else interesting?
I like to do pretty adventurous things. Most recently I got the chance to free swim with 15-20ft sharks! It was incredible and cured my fear of swimming in deep blue ocean waters.
How did you find out? I had suspected my temps were off and wasn’t 100% on o date and got negatives on 10 and 12 dpo. I was just too early. Took a test when my period was due and hadn’t started spotting nor had my temp dropped

Other children/pregnancies? We have 1 daughter. This is our 3rd pregnancy
Pets? 2 cats

Anything else interesting? A little infertility humor. Spoilered because it can be sensitive
we tried for 12 months with my daughter in 2015-16. Had an hsg that showed my tubes were blocked. Scheduled a laparoscopy for September. Conceived her in August after 16 months. Found out 3 weeks before the surgery. Have had pain since my daughter was born and scheduled another lap for December which would have been 6 failed cycle with 1 tw. Cp. found out 4 weeks before surgery. My husband I joke to get pregnant I just need to threaten my body with surgery
TTC1: May 2015
Primary IF May 2016; Failed HSG; Scheduled Lap Sept. 2016
Hey everyone! My name is Julie! I am excited to share my happy news with you ladies!
My possible due date is August 20th (based off my last period).
This is my 2nd pregnancy. I had experienced a loss back in August which was my 1st pregnancy.
We are so so excited and are happy to have been blessed with our Christmas miracle! I am completely shocked and was not expecting anything this cycle.
This past Thursday I was wrapping my nephews Christmas gift, he's 2 months old, and stopped what I was doing and decided to take a test. It was clear as day positive which was wild to see because my period isn't even due until Monday. I've taken 3 other tests to confirm and they were all very positive.
Due date? Estimated Aug 16 How did you find out? I had bleeding (mistook for AF) two days before AF date but stopped the next day. Called RE and was asked to come in for blood tests 3 times two days apart each and was confirmed at the 3rd test. Was a roller coaster ride.
Job? Biomedical engineering scientist
Hobbies? Gardening in and outdoors, swimming (adviced against exercise in the 1st trimester) and reading books.
Other children/pregnancies? numero uno
Spouse? Together for 5 years and married almost 4 years. Both of us are 36 yo.
Anything else interesting: This was my 2nd round of IUI with clomid and HCG. I had spotting and was on bed rest all of week4. Looking forward to a safe and healthy pregnancy moving forward.
Nice to to meet all of you. Feeling nervous and cautiously excited.
Due date If my math is good, and it likely is, I'm looking at an 8/16 due date.
How did you find out? When I was pregnant 5 years ago with my daughter, I got sick, I had the chills, hot flashes, a sore throat, and was so tired I fell asleep eating a bowl of my favorite soup... so when this week I started having chills, hot flashes, a sore throat, and almost fell asleep during my daughter's karate class my husband brought a test home from the store and said "You need to take this so you know you're pregnant, I already know." He was right. I took it the day my period neglected to start, I've never seen one read positive that fast before.
Job? We relocated this summer for my husbands career and I'm a stay at home mom now. It's.. different.. Hobbies? NERD ALERT, D&D, Video Games, board games
Other children/pregnancies? 1 baby girl, she reminds me regularly she's not a baby, she's a big girl(5 years old), Pets? 2 cats, I think they knew first they started avoiding me a couple weeks ago out of no where and they usually snuggle me the most. I think they sense the oncoming betrayal. Spouse? Yeah, married for 8 years, together for 11. Anything else interesting? This pregnancy is "desired" as in we were planning on starting to TTC in 2020, but this certainly wasn't planned this way for this time. My pregnancy with my daughter was a train wreak and a half and I seemed to have convinced myself I could manifest a sibling simply by thinking hard enough. To be honest, it was traumatic, I almost died, and I'm a little scared of doing this again. I've taken a lot of health precautions to lower the risk of things that happened last time (for example, I've lost 70 pounds this year in an effort to have a healthier body to support a pregnancy and I'll admit I'm a little scared of getting fatter again too) but I'm really hoping this pregnancy goes smoothly, and that the days are short and the months are shorter. My husband is thrilled, during our last pregnancy I may have been sick but he had great luck career and life wise, he is looking forward to the good things that will come during this pregnancy. Evidently me getting pregnant is his good luck charm.
How did you find out?: My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for almost 1.5 years. We had just started seeing a fertility specialist who indicated we may have to do IVF due to my high FSH/low AMH. I really wanted to do everything I could to conceive naturally so I started acupuncture/TCM weekly, followed a fertility diet, took a bunch of supplements and limited our environmental exposure to endocrine disrupters. I had just ended my third cycle of this and was convinced AF was otw because I had dull cramping and took a test early which was a BFN. A few days later we were away for the weekend and I woke up and just felt different and thought, hm maybe I should test again... ran to the store and bought a digital, came back to the hotel to take it. (In all honesty I was still expecting it to be negative but wanted to confirm because I was considering having a few drinks by the pool that day) I was FLOORED to see “pregnant “ on the screen! I had always wanted to reveal to my husband in a cute way but was so shocked I just burst out of the bathroom and shoved the test at him lol
Jobs?: I’m a Sales Director for a major CPG brand
Hobbies?: Boating, barbecues with family, book club
Other children/pregnancies?: This is my first pregnancy
Hi everyone! Based in my last period, my due date is August 27. This will be my second baby. I just recently took a pregnancy test after some weird feelings and signs that reminded me of when I was pregnant last time. My husband, my little one and our two dogs live in Ohio. I am a teacher. We love sports and I'm into crafty things! I'm so exited to be here and to get to know you all!
Hi all, As far as I can see I'm the first one to post here with a date around the 19th... we tested early because my endocrinologist encouraged us to get in there right away for blood panels. She called to congratulate us the other day and said everything looked perfect, just tweaked my thyroid medication she's had me on since I went to her in the spring after 3 early m/c. We are obviously praying and letting other people close to us know so that they can encourage us and pray as well. Our first line was very faint at 10 dpo (right about when my period was due), but now at 18 dpo the test line is darker than the control. The morning we got the line I actually thought I was getting my period because I had been so emotional.
A little about us: I'm 40, H is 42. We have 4 kids between the two of us, ages 10/9/7/7. We also have a large breed puppy and a few cats. As for work, we both work more than full-time but somehow we make this all work.
For the lurkers: I didn't post anything on the board I was participating in because I haven't been there for very long (even though we were trying for longer). Things that we THINK helped us, being past our reproductive prime: this was the first month (out of 12 mo, 14 cycles) that we actually refrained from BD every day around O. We did the every-other day thing until the day before O and then no restrictions until the usual too-scared time around potential implantation window. We are still too scared, lol. Also, I took Benadryl twice a day starting two days after I thought I O'd (we had done it starting on O day but H read that maybe things got too dry for successful travels). I had a really good sign 3 days after O with light spotting- that never has happened before in my 5 previous (total) pregnancies. So for that reason, we do think Benadryl helped. And of course, my amazing endocrinologist being up on the latest research has been very supportive. I trust her implicitly. I'm on medication even though my thyroid labs are normal, because of my history of slight, subclinical thyroid wackiness during a previous pregnancy.
Curious... any others thinking or hoping they could be carrying twins?... I hope I'm right, because this would probably be our only pregnancy together, ...I felt O on both sides and felt two "landings". I know that sounds crazy, but I have always felt it when I've been pregnant and it always was followed by a positive test. The only other time I felt two of these was one of the m/c's. We are so thrilled about the miracle of life that if it does not turn out to be twins we will still be thrilled, but where I do feel two distinct places in me consistently, I can't help but think of "them" and have hope that my feeling is correct. Supposedly women my age have a higher chance of twins because our bodies try to give the most chances as we head toward menopause and hyperovulate...and my cycles were getting shorter too. Trying for a year and losing three during that time was hard but we stayed hopeful, also knowing that we had a lot to be thankful for no matter what was in store for us. Now that we are pregnant and things seem to be on track, regardless of what we'll see on our u/s, every day that I stay pregnant is a great day and we are SO thankful and joyful!
Congratulations to all and looking forward to the next 8 mo!
Hi ladies!! Congratulations to you all. I'm beyond ecstatic to be here!
Due date? August 26/27

How did you find out? I got a shadow of a line on a cheapie at 4dp5dt and faint but darkening lines on FRERs AM/PM 5dp5dt and 6dp5dt. The line seemed dark enough that evening that I decided to go for it and try my second digi, and it worked! Confirmed by betas of 192.2 and 472 at 9dp5dt and 11dp5dt.
Job? My husband is a contractor, and I have a day job I went out and got for the infertility coverage. 🤷 Hobbies? Church mostly, I suppose, if that counts. I would like to say Singing, Sewing, Crafts, Photography, Decorating etc., but it feels like there's never any spare time for much of that. Other children/pregnancies? This will God-willing be our second little IVF miracle after a long and painful infertility journey due to severe MFI (azoospermia). Our new little rascal is due 23 months apart from DD. Pets? Two doggies, one big, one little Spouse? Yes lol DH and I will celebrate nine years together this week(!), and our fifth wedding anniversary this spring. Anything else interesting? I was active on TTGP starting late 2015 through Dec 2017 when we got our BFP with DD.
How did you find out? Since we started trying in July I’ve been in the habit of taking a test if I’m a few days later than I expect (I don’t have a regular cycle) we’d just got back from visiting friends for thanksgiving where I drank everyday when I realized that I was past the 40 day cycle mark (my average cycle length) the first test I don’t think I peed on it correctly, lol, so it remained blank. So I went and bought another. To make a long story short, ended up taking 6 tests that evening, 4 showed Positive. My husband and I couldn’t believe it and stayed up all night researching pregnancy stuff!
Job? Architect and Interior Designer. And entrepreneur, since I have my own business. Hobbies? Distance running, painting, cooking vegetarian and vegan gourmet meals, Traveling in Europe, yoga Other children/pregnancies? First one! Pets? Our first child, a spoiled rotten 10 yr old maltipoo Spouse? Hubs and I have been together since high school. Going on 17 years together and 12 years married! Anything else interesting? I had zero desire to ever be pregnant/have a child myself until less than two years ago. I’m 34. I always said we would only adopt when I was maybe 40. So this one should be a surprise to the grandparents!
@shoogapoff. Thank you!!!! I've missed you guys too! ❤️❤️❤️ I took and unintentional break when the AP locked me out, and then I switched to the mobile browser but it was too much a pain to flip different pages. I was hoping after the first low-key transfer to have this Grand surprise reveal, but it didn't work out that way. 😔 Then it got depressing and I sorta didn't want to dwell on things by advertising the play by play of testing, transfer, changing protocols etc. etc. It was really one foot in front of the other survival mode for a while there, Oct/Nov/ early Dec. So happy to feel alive again!!! 🎉
How did you find out? I had light cramping a week before my expected period, which isn’t normal for me. So I had a suspicion it could be implantation cramping. I took a test yesterday, 4 days before my missed period and it instantly turned positive. This is a surprise pregnancy so I’m still in shock and processing it all.
Job? In the process of opening my own esthetics shop. Hobbies? Heels dance class, party planning, interior design, fashion styling and skincare. Other children/pregnancies? Yes a 3 year old daughter. Pets? No
Due Date: August 7th based on my LMP. We are measuring a couple days ahead although they didn't adjust the due date.
How did you find out?: I randomly tested at like 3AM the Friday after Thanksgiving after having a couple days of weird dreams and crying because my husband wanted to wear sweats to dinner at our cousin's house on Thanksgiving. We had just been given the okay to start trying so as soon as I missed my period, I knew we needed to test.
Jobs?: I teach high school science and run a fragrance business on the side.
Hobbies?: I love hosting family and friends, decorating my home, binge-watching shows, traveling, shopping, and spending time with the people I love.
Other children/pregnancies?: Several other heart-breaking pregnancies, but we truly believe that this will be our first sticky.
Pets?:
Not at our house, but I have a puppy brother that I absolutely adore.
Spouse?: Yup. We will have been married for 4 years on January 1st.
Due date: August 14-16 (depending on if you base it on LMP or ovulation date!)
How did you find out? Reproductive endocrinologist -- beta. I tested negative 10dpiui and stopped testing at home until I went in for my beta 14dpiui when it was positive. We had six IUI cycles -- four unmedicated, two with Letrozole. It feels like a miracle!
About us: We're a queer couple (LGBT, LGBTQ, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, nonbinary for those searching!) living in NYC. We have two cats and this is our first pregnancy.
Happy to sync up with other queer families and others in NYC!
Due Date: August 10 (2 weeks before my 40th birthday!)
How did you find out?: We did IVF and they tell you NOT to test at home because it messes with your mind. My doctor was going to test me at 10 days past transfer. The thought of one day getting that call at work and being disappointed really scared me, so I thought I'd start testing early and prepare myself for the sadness at home. Around 7 days past transfer, I tested and prepared for the worst (we only had one viable embryo, so if it failed we had to start from scratch). When I walked back into the bathroom, the line was glaring! I almost passed out!
Jobs?: I work in HR.
Hobbies?: Singing, traveling, anything creative!
Other children/pregnancies?: Nope - first time mom.
Pets?:
3 rescues - a very old lab mix, and two cats.
Spouse?: Yep - we just celebrated four years of marriage!
How did you find out? We we’re trying, so I tested. Sore boobs and early bloat aren’t usually a PMS symptom for me, so that tipped me off.
Job? Self employed/small business owner
Hobbies? Sewing (also relates to my work), board games
Other children/pregnancies? An almost 4yr old
Pets? No pets
Spouse? Married 9 yrs
My husband is getting his MBA (in addition to his full time job) and life has been crazy. He voiced his concern of me managing my business, our kid/house, plus a newborn. I think my exact response was “meh... throw it on my tab”. Needless to say I’m happy and excited, but also terrified. 🤪
@ziggymama06 I’m happy to see you here! I remember you from TTGP (I was a lurker) and your name stands out to me because my friends also have a pup named Ziggy. Plus we were on similar dpo and I was debating when to test. 😂
I am forcing myself to formally intro. This week I am embracing the mantra, “today I am pregnant and I will celebrate that!”
Due Date:
Based on LMP: 8/7; Based on O: 8/8
How did you find out?:
I was folding and putting away laundry when I noticed I was very winded. I was planning to test the next morning (12 dpo on Thanksgiving) but didn’t want to drive myself crazy symptom spotting so I took a test. And I saw a faint positive.
Jobs?:
SAHM. I am formally a pediatric occupational therapist. I’ve worked in the NICU/PICU and in an outpatient setting. I went part time after I had my son and a year ago transitioned home full time.
Hobbies?:
Running
Other children/pregnancies?:
*TW loss* I have a 4.5 year old son, 2.5 year old daughter, and we had a loss in May this past year.
Congratulations @BusinessWife!!!!! So thrilled for you.

Hello! This will be my third child. I'm due mid-August. I had been trying for 4-5 months and finally used ovulation strips and found I ovulated very late. I have two sons. With my first I had hyperemesis gravidarium (really severe morning sickness) so I'm nervous that could happen again. I'm a speech therapist working in EI and an ABA clinic. I hope to find enough time to really participate in this group! I can't wait to get to know you all!
Hi everyone! Looking forward to getting to know you all
Due date? August 25-ish
How did you find out? We've been trying since July. I really meant not to test this cycle, but at 12 DPO (last Saturday) I started dreading AF's surprise arrival and decided to just test and get the disappointment out of the way. Super surprised to see the faintest little line there -- I was getting far too used to the BFNs.
Job? Lawyer Hobbies? Park exploration with my toddler and spin (indoor cycling). I used to have more hobbies, but between work and mom-ing I am not super interesting these days. I'm OK with that; it is a season. Other children/pregnancies? DS is 1.5 years. His BMB was the most amazing resource to me/us, still is, and he is a little stinker but picking him up from daycare is the highlight of my day, every day. Pets? Chocolate lab. DH's hunting buddy and destroyer of couches and budgets. Spouse? Married ~4 years Anything else interesting? Not interesting, per se, but I definitely feel like I never really embraced my first pregnancy. I had a rather smooth go of it and didn't hate being pregnant, but I decided not to have a shower, took almost zero photos during those nine months, etc. etc. I'd like to enjoy things more this go-round. On the other hand, I'm feeling so much more unsteady and worried about things sticking this time as compared to last. Still trying to reconcile those two things - but intro-ing here feels like a good start!
How did you find out? Was tracking ovulation and was expecting my period to come based on falling temps, stopped temping for a few days, then temped again when I never got my period and it was back up, so I took a test and it was positive!
Job? I am a graduate student Hobbies? My main hobby is exercising and competing in sports... going to try to keep up with workouts while scaling back the intensity
Other children/pregnancies? First timer! Pets? 2 dogs Spouse? Yep! Married almost 3 years
Hello, everyone! We just discovered our big news this morning. Honestly, it’s a bit of a shock. I took a negative test last week, but still had a feeling. Did not plan to get pregnant again so soon after having my baby girl last November, but we’re excited nonetheless! Looks like my due date should be around August 18th.
I also have a little boy. I’m a stay at home mom, so these little monsters are my life. I love photography, cooking, Halloween, and true crime podcasts. Congratulations to everyone, and I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Monday I will call to schedule my appointment!
How did you find out?
If my math is good, and it likely is, I'm looking at an 8/16 due date.
1 baby girl, she reminds me regularly she's not a baby, she's a big girl(5 years old),
Pets?
How did you find out?:
My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for almost 1.5 years.

Spouse?

My husband, my little one and our two dogs live in Ohio. I am a teacher. We love sports and I'm into crafty things!
I'm so exited to be here and to get to know you all!
As far as I can see I'm the first one to post here with a date around the 19th... we tested early because my endocrinologist encouraged us to get in there right away for blood panels.
*ETA a time frame after checking calendar
Due date? August 26/27

How did you find out?
Hobbies? Distance running, painting, cooking vegetarian and vegan gourmet meals, Traveling in Europe, yoga
Other children/pregnancies? First one!
Pets? Our first child, a spoiled rotten 10 yr old maltipoo
Spouse? Hubs and I have been together since high school. Going on 17 years together and 12 years married!
Anything else interesting? I had zero desire to ever be pregnant/have a child myself until less than two years ago. I’m 34. I always said we would only adopt when I was maybe 40. So this one should be a surprise to the grandparents!
Pets? No
How did you find out?:
I randomly tested at like 3AM the Friday after Thanksgiving after having a couple days of weird dreams and crying because my husband wanted to wear sweats to dinner at our cousin's house on Thanksgiving. We had just been given the okay to start trying so as soon as I missed my period, I knew we needed to test.
Jobs?:
I teach high school science and run a fragrance business on the side.
Hobbies?:
I love hosting family and friends, decorating my home, binge-watching shows, traveling, shopping, and spending time with the people I love.
Other children/pregnancies?:
Several other heart-breaking pregnancies, but we truly believe that this will be our first sticky.
Pets?:
Spouse?:
Yup. We will have been married for 4 years on January 1st.
How did you find out?:
We did IVF and they tell you NOT to test at home because it messes with your mind.
Jobs?:
I work in HR.

Singing, traveling, anything creative!
Other children/pregnancies?:

My husband is getting his MBA (in addition to his full time job) and life has been crazy. He voiced his concern of me managing my business, our kid/house, plus a newborn. I think my exact response was “meh... throw it on my tab”. Needless to say I’m happy and excited, but also terrified. 🤪

Job? Lawyer
Hobbies? Park exploration with my toddler
Spouse? Married ~4 years
Anything else interesting? Not interesting, per se, but I definitely feel like I never really embraced my first pregnancy. I had a rather smooth go of it and didn't hate being pregnant, but I decided not to have a shower, took almost zero photos during those nine months, etc. etc. I'd like to enjoy things more this go-round. On the other hand, I'm feeling so much more unsteady and worried about things sticking this time as compared to last. Still trying to reconcile those two things - but intro-ing here feels like a good start!
