January Symptoms

Re: January Symptoms

  • @anxiouswife Yes, my nails are growing so fast and I do not feel like trimming/filing them but I know they will break, wah.  I feel like my nails grow faster than my hair and I'd really like it the other way around lol...  On the greasy hair, have you tried dry shampoo??  It's my bff    :D

Oh man I had such an intense headache last night.  The ones I've had before were minor and went away on their own but couldn't shake this one.  I had to take some Tylenol.  Started with one and some caffeine, but didn't touch it so I had to take another one, which allowed me to sleep, thankfully.

The nausea has ramped up for me and making eating a true struggle, but still need to eat everything two hours or its worse.  And fatigue... just so tired.  And my nose is still so stuffy!!!!  Although, if this is the worst of it, I can deal so I'm really not complaining.

  • @tara4910 I take mama's select, and I was pleasantly surprised they don't even have a noticable smell to me.  I have been able to take them no problem, when other vitamins bother me.  They contain methyl folate, so you're good there, and I was told, unless you know you're iron deficient, you don't really need to worry about supplemental iron until farther along when your blood volume is super elevated.  The iron deficiency can come from dilution, essentially.
  • @BusinessWife thanks for the rec! I’ll check them out. I’ve been taking smarty pants and I’ve liked them until now. Of course I have a whole bottle still 🙄

  • My OB suggested B6 to help with my nausea. Has anyone had success with using B6? She recommended 25 mg. 4 times per day. I should've asked more questions. What intervals would you take it at. I was doing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before bed but I'm wondering if there is a better way to go about it. The mornings are so rough so I fear that I am throwing up the first pill and I don't know if there is anyway to make the morning nausea better besides getting up extra early to take one then going back to bed. Any suggestions?
  • I'm 9.5 weeks & have had basically NO bad symptoms or side effects whatsoever, which has me nervous that my baby isn't, like, doing OK, or something.

I definitely feel pregnant, or I feel SOMEthing: I'm bloated & gassy; my stomach is already a little firmer & puffier; I've been exhausted & sleeping a ton. But I haven't had morning sickness or even much queasiness, & I haven't really had cravings or aversion.

Anyone else?! I've always had such a janky body that I assumed that pregnancy would be BRUTAL for me, so the fact that it, well, ISN'T so far is really throwing my for a loop. My first appointment is on Tuesday, & I'm hoping it allays some of my nerves.
  • @riatortillaxo I take B6 25 mg 3-4 times a day. The taste of it is a little sickening so I recommend taking with some juice or ginger ale to cover it up. I take mine with toast first thing, at lunch, and around bedtime. I think it takes the edge off. I’m still nauseous, but more functional. Hope you feel better soon!

Found out at my first ultrasound appointment I have a hematoma which has me on limited exercise and activities... a little scary not going to lie. I've had intermittent nausea and my boobs are so sensitive and heavy (like many have posted) but mainly I'm just freaking out... I have to wait a month till my next ultrasound to find out whether it has absorbed. Fingers crossed

Fingers crossed for you! Hope it all works out! ❤
  • I had a lot of nausea and that faded some but I am dealing with being lightheaded now. I try to drink more water and that seems to help.

For anyone suffering from nausea I hear seabands help. ❤ eating never helped me. I used a lot of ginger and ginger tea. Lost like 9 pounds but I made it through.

I'm antsy for my first ultrasound it will be when I'm supposedly 12 weeks (I think 13 weeks) so it's taking forever. I hope all is well but honestly the pregnancy symptoms reassure me that everything is going according to plan. So bring them on! Lol ❤
  • @kbkincle I’ve had very similar symptoms as you this time. Definitely feel “different” and exhausted but no nausea or food aversions. I’m also nervous about this and I have my first ultrasound tomorrow. I suspect everything is fine but I will feel much better to have that confirmed. With my son I did have some nausea and aversions but they were mild compared to what many people experience, and only lasted about 3-4 weeks. My mom, sister, and grandma have all told me they never had morning sickness with any of their pregnancies, so maybe we are just genetically less susceptible to it? I don’t know if that’s a thing, but I do know that not everyone gets sick and I am thankful to be feeling ok.
  • @laurenaward So sorry to hear that! Be kind to yourself and rest. I'm hoping for good news!

    @tara4910 Thank you!
  • @laurenaward Hoping you get good news.  Try to rest and take it easy 💜

  • @gardengnome103 I'm a little jealous.

    How do you feel now?
  • @laurenaward I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma as well. They have been monitoring and its progressively been getting smaller. I was not put on any restrictions though. They said they are super common and usually get resorbed so fingers crossed! Hang in there!

@riatortillaxo I have been taking B6 three times a day (25mg tabs) at breakfast, lunch and dinner and it (with the addition of unisom at night) and it has done wonders. I can at least eat now to try to prevent the nausea cycles. As mentioned by another, the taste of both of those meds are slightly off-putting so I too take them with juice or sprite/ginger ale.

@gardengnome103 omg SUPER jealous! Lol ETA I tried to get the baby to fall asleep on the couch with me, but she just wasn't having it. 🙄
  • @kbkincle I’ve had very similar symptoms to you this time.
Thank you for this! I very much hope so. Hope your ultrasound goes well. ❤️🤞🏻
  • @gardengnome103 OMG that’s my fantasy right there 😂
  • @gardengnome103 Sounds like that’s what your body needed. I feel like I could easily sleep for 12+ hours right now and I didn’t work a night shift!
  • Guys, I've been SO tired this past week. Basically every moment I am not watching DD, I am sleeping (or rather, lying down with my eyes closed but not sleeping :/ ). The nausea is in full force also. I was really sick with DD as well but I can't remember when it started getting better! I know somewhere into the 2nd trimester I felt pretty normal but I can't remember if that was a gradual change or not. Is anyone that's due earlier in the month finding that their symptoms have eased off a bit? I need some hope here...

  • @psychobutthead Thanks, I really hope that's the case! I've had sore boobs & am super exhausted & slightly grossed out by meat, & yes, I'm also having INSANE DREAM, so it's not like I'm not having ANY symptoms - just none that feel all that bad, especially given what I'd braced myself for. Thanks for the reassurance!
  • @laur84ns I'm only planning on having one, so maybe I'm just gonna get super lucky?! Haha, here's hoping.
  • @kbkincle if it makes you feel any better my lack of symtpoms always scares me especially since with my daughter I was so sick.

All 4 of my pregnancies with my husband i spent not sick with little to no symptoms.

So its always made me wonder was i sick because shes a girl? Because it was a different dad? Because I was younger and underweight? So many variables.

Also you may be sick later and just not now. I didn't become sick with her until i was past 3 months pregnant. I spent the rest of that pregnancy vomiting all the way up until i puked on the delivery room floor.

  • The past two weeks I have been useless. I always have bad morning/all-day sickness but this pregnancy has been hands down the most miserable in that department. My poor kids have been so bored, we've left the house like twice in two weeks. I have an aversion to almost all food so eating has been hard and I feel on the verge of puking all day even though I only do once or twice a day. Exhausted out of my mind. I've been napping during my kids naps every day, sometimes doze off on the couch while they play too. Today I finally felt somewhat human but overdid it so now I feel like crap again. I'm 10weeks and I think the nausea usually lasts until 15weeks for me so I'm anxious that I'm no where close to the end. My OB gave me Zofran but I'm trying not to take it too much because the side effects are not fun.

@psychobutthead Yes, I’ve had some really weird dreams. One night I dreamt that DH went on an outing with DS and shaved off DS’s beautiful blond curls. Another night I dreamed that a group of gangly teenage boys came over to my house and in the course of talking to them I realized they were in fact One Direction. I have never in my life cared about One Direction so I have no idea where that one came from.

Anyone else already getting the super thick pregnancy hair?

Plus one for the bizarre vivid dreams... last night I dreamed we were having a boy and the results were wrong, even though they were from the NIPT... I think bc I read @psychobutthead's comment about the sneak peek right before bed...

I've been waking up STARVING... Friday night I woke up to pee (for the second time) at 3am and couldn't fall back asleep bc my stomach was so empty and growling. I had to get up and eat some dry Cheerios in order to go back to sleep... ridiculous lol.

Noooo, don't scare me like this!
  • @kbkincle i dont think its very common to be like I was with my first kid. You will probably be ok.

  • @kbkincleDefiantly don't count your self out on the sickness front just yet. I had moderate nausea with DS until 12w then I was very sick until 17w and went back to moderate nausea until 19.5w. But because it was worst in my second trimester and a lot of people knew several other ladies said that it was the same for them too.

I was starting to get hopeful that my nausea was starting to go this time because it hasn't been to bad recently, until this weekend when it's been worse than ever.
  • @kbkincle sorry to join this way, my nausia for my first two started about 10 weeks and continues to 3rd trimester, this one has been from week one. I've gained way more weight than I expected by now because I snack to try to stay ahead of the nausea especially at work.
  • @radiohd18 yup here too. Just waiting for my students to start asking what's wrong. I can't hardly even read aloud anymore without silly mistakes...
