@moguippy No, you are not wrong.  I didn't stay up late to do DDs food for the day, so it took me forever this morning and I ended up being 20 minutes late! 😬😬😬 Then I made a really stupid goof with a new responsibility they recently gave me and I'm just like, ughhhh  I promise I'm not really an idiot.  I just need a nap.  And then another nap.  And maybe a sandwich. 🤣

@WishesSheCouldCook  Tell me more about the learning tower!  Did you get an official one, or make one yourself?  How soon do you think you can start a kid with that?  FD, I'm trying to figure out if we can get away with adding the learning tower for DD and letting the baby use the high chair, and not have to get a second high chair for the kitchen bc space.  Thoughts?
  • @moguippy today is a lot better. Yesterday was the Sunday that just wouldn't end for me. I was completely exhausted. My husband reminded me a lot that I was this way early in my other pregnancy and that he would do what I just couldn't around the house. Sunday's are normally my cleaning, laundry and cooking day. That's the one afternoon in the whole week that my husband can actually relax but he didn't yesterday. He wouldn't have done that this early with our daughter, we would have just put it off until I could do it.

  • @smsaulino you are so lucky. My husband would never help and would act like nothing is wrong at all.

I am exhausted. My son has had a stomach virus all weekend. I swear this is the whineist i ever remember him being.

Hoping I don't get sick next.

Also scheduled my NT Scan today! Its set for feb 7th.

Pregnancy #4 Missed Miscarriage at 11 weeks 11/2018 Due date 5/22/2019
Pregnancy #5 Positive test 12/11/2019 Due Date 8/17/2020

  • Awe that's sweet of him to help you. It's nice when there is support in the home.
  • @smsaulino I feel you on this. I try to catch up on Sundays but I’ve been such a sloth. If it weren’t for my husband picking up the slack majorly this house would look condemned. And I feel so guilty.
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like they're majorly slacking. I'm just so tired and when I get home from work I just want to lay down and never move again. My husband has been keeping up with a lot more than usual but I told him this was my third pregnancy and this time I'm going to milk it for all it's worth.

@BusinessWife we got a name brand learning tower from a consignment sale for 50.00 (they retail over 200). We use it daily and have since she was 18m. She would eat meals standing in it for a few years. We’ve really gotten our money’s worth! There are a lot more options now.

I was hoping my age would make genetic testing more affordable but the one my practice uses will cost 299 OOP if you do a survey. I can’t decide what to do.

  • That's really expensive @WishesSheCouldCook
I've read that the genetic testing companies are trying to push insurance providers to cover it for all women. I'm sure it won't happen anytime soon.
  • @roo_baby I agree that it would be nice to have a few more threads started!
There is the board organization post that has a list of typical BMB daily/weekly/etc threads but I haven't seen many created. Should people just follow that and go ahead and create a thread if they don't see it yet? I feel like some UO or FFFC posts would be fun. I'm just newish to actually participating on this board so I don't want to overstep.
  • @hypermusic I say go for it! Look at me I started 2 threads today!
@jwhite3116 I’m not going to lie I was surprised how expensive it was. If i don’t participate in the survey it will be more than 500 after insurance.

  • @BusinessWife While I agree with what you wrote I am laughing so hard at how you wrote it out 😂
  • @BusinessWife yes!! You nailed it on the head!

  • I think my NIPT testing wasn’t covered by insurance last time and it was $300 OOP. I ended up getting laid off and the company didn’t make me pay because I showed them financial hardship. this time I’m hoping it’s still $300 or less bc I def won’t qualify for financial hardship and I doubt my new insurance will cover it.

Also I’m ready for FFFC! I don’t do bump pics usually though
  • @BusinessWife. $300 is the cheaper way when they bill you oop instead of insurance. It was insane if they tried to go through insurance like $1200 or something ridiculous. It’s been two years so I’m hoping the cost in general has come down though since it’s not as “new”?
  • @BusinessWife Only reason I still have a FB is because all my mom groups are there. And the occasional ridiculous drama people from high school post. Makes me feel like I really have it together.
  • @roo_baby Ugh. Mention of a Facebook group already. I haven't had one in, like, eight years, so I won't be in that group either. 😭
  • @lachnessmomster I wish I didn’t have one. I tried to leave but my Bootcamp runs their play date schedule page on FB and I was missing everything. It sucked. Now I’m back and it’s the worst time suck ever. But I need a social life 😂
  • I'd love to leave Facebook, at this point I hate my own mindless scrolling.. but since we moved this summer it really feels like a life line.  "My Tribe" is a circle of friends who are really spread out, like across the country and in multiple states.  We are super close, we talk almost daily through text, snap, etc.. but Facebook is also one of the things we use to keep up and I just can't stand the thought of being any further from them.

  • Does anyone take iron supplements and if so when do you take it? I take mine with dinner, when I remember, or at bed time. It makes me feel so bloated and gross. I don’t know if it’s the brand I take or what.

Ugh, I'm so behind on here girls... I've been so exhausted and just feeling blah.  Yesterday was a particularly bad day.

I'd love to leave FB too, but so much is scheduled through it, like birthday parties, events etc.  If I left I'd never get invited anywhere lol... And now my soon to be SIL is organizing everything for the wedding through FB.  I did give it up last year for lent and since then I've been better about mindless scrolling.  It still happens occasionally, but much less frequent!

I also plan to get the NIPT and feel that I'll likely need to pay out of pocket since I'm just under AA, being 34.  I'm seeing the dr in a week so will find out/schedule then.

On posting new threads, anyone can post any thread.  I'm so down for FFFC, Monday Bitchfest, TW Tuesday, Thankful Tuesday, WTF Wednesday, GTKY, etc...... whatever anyone wants to post... go for it!!

I don't have a "bump" per se but definitely bloated... today is the first day I'm wearing maternity pants.  I had a client meeting and will be in my work clothes late tonight and wanted to be as comfy as possible... and they are!

  • @ziggymama06 will you be 35 by your due date?  It might be covered if that’s the case
  • @moguippy Nope... I guess we will have to see if my dr knows something I don't?  If not, I'll just pay out of pocket bc I really want the test.

  • Just so we're clear this, "covered" DNE "affordable".  So uncool.
  • I won't be joining a FB group either. I specifically joined TB and not any of the millions of pregnancy FB groups out there because I don't want to be part of FB groups! I like the forum format (I find it much easier to keep up with), and I like my privacy. I would join a PG though.
  • I didn’t plan to join the fb group last time, but I’m so glad I did. We definitely have a deeper sense of community there than we ever did on TB. But I get it’s not for everyone. We still have plenty of time to get to know each other before it becomes a thing.
  • I really love my Facebook group with my last BMB. I agree about the sense of community and I think it is easier to stay updated! I am still very active on there. But Facebook itself has its drawbacks. It definitely sucks you in.
  • I deactivated my Facebook a few months ago, but would definitely join a PG!
  • FB is a necessary evil for me. I really only get on to find local events and for my FB group from my last BMB. It’s been the biggest support system and I’m thankful everyday for the group. I can’t wait until this group moves over to FB and we can get to know each other (and our babies!) even better. My absolute favorite has been getting to meet some of the other women in person, including the two others that live in my state. But for now, I’m enjoying getting to know you all here!
