Hello everyone! It’s about time this board opened up!!
Due Date: I believe my due date will be August 2 based on my last period, but it could be adjusted to August 5, based on when I ovulated.
How did you find out?: I was part of the ttgp board and I decided to not temp during the tww. It was a second cycle trying. My first cycle resulted in a false positive, so I was not sure how long my lp would be. The night before thanksgiving I thought that something was off and decided that I would test the next morning. I woke up dumb early and took a test and it was positive. A couple hours later I took another test to make sure that the first one was not a false positive as well, and that one was also positive! When my husband came downstairs I told my husband that I had two pieces of good news for him. One, his Christmas was arriving tomorrow, and two, that these test are real!! Cue all the tears!!!
Jobs?: I’m a budget analyst in Maryland.
Hobbies?: I love to say that my hobby is sleeping, but I can’t seem to get enough of it nowadays. I’m also the queen of Pinterest fails 😂
Other children/pregnancies?: This is our second child. Our first born is three and a TON of energy.
Pets?:
We also have two Australian Shepherds and a cat.
Spouse? My husband is a financial analyst.
I look forward to getting to know you ladies! Happy and healthy nine months to all!
*Edit because this looks so much better!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a little bit, but so excited to join all of you!
Due date? August 8 How did you find out? I told myself that I was going to wait to poas until 10dpo, which was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Due date? August 7th? How did you find out? I had just been diagnosed with PCOS after trying for a few months. My OB prescribed letrazole last month so I had an idea of when I'd be able to take a test. Prior I had not been ovulating. It is super frustrating and stressful when you don't know if you're not getting a period because you're pregnant or because you're not ovulating at all. So had blood work a few weeks ago which indicated that I had actually ovulated so I impatiently waited two more weeks and I took a test the day before thanksgiving. I was ready to throw it out assuming it was a negative and I saw a faint line showing up. I woke my husband up to tell him. I said "Guess what!" He responded half asleep "chicken butt." We spent two days at my in laws after that and I successfully kept it a secret despite being terrible at keeping secrets. Job? I am a school psychologist at a high school
Hobbies? I love reading and working out. Although I haven't had any energy to work out these last two weeks. Waiting to find out if I'll be allowed to snowboard this winter.

Anything else interesting? We are planning to tell our families on Christmas! I ordered an ornament that says Baby coming Aug 2020 and got my in-laws a onesie that says guess what, you're going to be grandparents!
How did you find out? I took a test the day before Thanksgiving and thought there was maybe a inkling of a thought of a line. Thanksgiving morning I tested again and there definitely was a little something there!
Job? I’m a program manager for public health projects working with community health centers.
Hobbies? Baking...but I do t do it nearly as much as I used to pre child.

How did you find out? A handful of squinters followed by a clear FRER at ~9dpo. We had been trying for a while, and I had just called the referral my OB gave for fertility support a few days before poas because I was convinced it was going to be another bad month. So glad I was wrong!

How did you find out? I was nauseous at 4dpo and it never let up. And I was super gassy. I'm never gassy unless I'm pregnant. I finally got a positive at 11dpo. Job? I'm a stay at home mom Hobbies? Other than looking after my 21 month old? I love doing crafts with him Other children/pregnancies? 21 month old son, Mason Pets? Two cats, Michael, and Colin Spouse? Yes, his name is Dave
Greetings, everyone! My name is Pamela and I'm a single, over-35, first-time mom, due to have a baby girl on August 1st!
I've been ready and wanting so badly to be a mom since I was 20 years old. But for some reason or another, things never worked out for me with any guys. Still single at the age of 36, I decided to have a baby on my own!
Working through a fertility clinic using sperm from an anonymous donor, I was successful on my first round of IVF with ICSI and PGS testing (which is how I know that it's a girl).
Due date? August 1st (according to several online IVF due date calculators, based on a 5-day blastocyst transfer on November 14th)
How did you find out? November 22nd (8 days past the embryo transfer), I went to the clinic and took an HCG beta test in the morning before work (around 8:00am). It was the longest day of my life, thinking they could call with the results any minute now... any minute now... any minute now. At 4:30pm they still had not called me, so I went into the breakroom at my office and called them. She asked if I had taken any home tests, and I said no. Then she said, "Well if you had, you would've been surprised, because you're pregnant!" I left work early and drove to my mom's house and then my best friend's house to tell them the good news in person!
Job? All I can say is that I love my job, which I've had for 8 years, and I hope to retire from there someday!
Hobbies? As I said on our 1st Tri waiting room thread, my new hobby is watching YouTube videos (especially those about pregnancy and how to prepare for a baby)! (Share your favorite channels with me anytime!)
Anything else interesting I'm so excited to finally join a BMB! I first joined The Bump in 2010, because I've always been interested in names, and I really enjoyed hearing which ones people were considering for their babies, and helping them decide! I met some amazing, lifelong friends on the Baby Name Board, and I hope to make many more here! I'm praying for safe, healthy pregnancies for everyone!
@lyssmarieco They're definitely going to say no to snowboarding if you ask. I wasn't even allowed to go snow tubing! While baby is well protected, sudden fall has the potential to detach the placenta.
@lyssmarieco They're definitely going to say no to snowboarding if you ask. I wasn't even allowed to go snow tubing! While baby is well protected, sudden fall has the potential to detach the placenta.
This might depend on the practice? My sister was okayed to downhill ski taking it easy and not doing anything difficult for her through at least 4 months pregnant.
My name is Jessica! Congratulations to all! This is my second pregnancy (and I’m hoping this one actually comes in August... last one was due August 14th, came on July 3rd!) I’m currently due August 13th based off of my last period.
I’m new to these forums, but my husband and I have always had a tough time getting pregnant. Recently, it’s been very difficult always getting that negative sign when your so hopeful! I think with this pregnancy, it’s be great to connect with others for extra support!
I wish everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy! And I’m excited to “meet” you all! ❤️
I was a little surprised to actually get the go ahead. I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow. They told to be very careful and that I would only be able to do this for a couple of weeks.

We have a 12 year old Boston terrier and a 8 year old cat. 🐶 🐱

Aside from working, being with my family and boating/camping during the Summer. Other children/pregnancies? 2 boys. ** TW ** I had a loss at 20 weeks and it was a girl. Hi! My name is Meghan. I’m originally from Boston but we now live in PA.

How did you find out? This is an IVF FET pregnancy! I found out last Saturday when I took a FRER. The blood test was on Wednesday which confirmed the pregnancy.
Jobs I’m currently a SAHM to b/g twins who will be 3 in March. They were also an IVF pregnancy. (This time around we just transferred one embryo!)
Hobbies I am an avid reader and really into photography, although I’m not a professional by any means! I also love working out, it definitely keeps me sane in this busy season of life with little ones!
Spouse married 5 years!
Really excited to be apart of this group! I adored my due date group from April 2017, I’m looking forward to being in another one!
Hi everyone! I’ve been anxiously waiting for my 72-hour hold period to be up in order to join you all I am looking forward to getting to know each other over the coming months!
My name is Vanessa and I am pregnant with my first child, due (my best estimate) August 4. I live in Canada.
My wife and I (together 8 years, married this August) conceived this kiddo with a home insemination using sperm from a known donor (our friend)- we started trying this November and I was shocked to get a (very faint) positive test 10dpo on Nov 23! I have my blood test scheduled for Dec 12 to confirm (though I’ve peed on a bunch of tests since the 23rd, all very positive)!
Work-wise, I am a therapist working both at a non profit and in private practice. My hobbies are creative writing, yoga, and watching terrible reality TV (aka 90 Day Fiancé!)
How did you find out? I got back from a work trip to the UK and couldn’t shake the jet lag. I just felt unbelievably exhausted. So, I took a test and it all made sense!

Other children?
DS will be 3 in January

Spouse? Married 7 years, together 13. He’s pretty great.
Anything else interesting? Mostly been a lurker on the Bump for my past pregnancies, so I’m really looking forward to participating and getting to know y’all!
Due Date Probably August 13 based on my calculations. Last cycle was weird so we’ll see what the doc ends up calculating.
How did you find out? Took about 10 tests over the course of a week, haha. I was pretty sure I was but I must have ovulated late so it wasn’t positive until a full week past my missed period date. I didn’t believe the negative tests but also was pretty shocked it finally went positive yesterday.
Jobs? Former teacher, now SAHM and wedding calligrapher/painter
Hobbies? My hobbies became my job so now my only hobby is watching tv...I’m super boring you guys
Other children/pregnancies? 2 kids, boy age 3.5 and girl age 1.5
*TW* We also had 4 pregnancies prior to my living kids, miscarried in the first tri. So I’m cautiously optimistic but never feel at ease until 2nd tri.
Pets?
Nope
Spouse? DH is a 3rd year neuroscience PhD student, hopefully only 2 years left of grad school life. We were high school sweethearts and married young, so we’re going on 7 years of marriage.
Anything else interesting? My daughter was born with a cleft palate and other issues, and we just finished her fifth and hopefully final surgery this fall. Definitely hoping for an uneventful pregnancy and birth this time around. We also just started homeschool for preschool with my oldest and hope to continue homeschooling all the way through (we’ll see).

I told myself that I was going to wait to poas until 10dpo, which was a lot harder than I thought it would be. But I made it and took a test that morning (the day before Thanksgiving) and could not believe there was a super faint line. Of course I had to take a couple more just to be sure!

Anything else interesting
I'm so excited to finally join a BMB!

How did you find out?
This is an IVF FET pregnancy! I found out last Saturday when I took a FRER. The blood test was on Wednesday which confirmed the pregnancy.
I’m currently a SAHM to b/g twins who will
be 3 in March. They were also an IVF pregnancy. (This time around we just transferred one embryo!)
Hobbies
I am an avid reader and really into photography, although I’m not a professional by any means! I also love working out, it definitely keeps me sane in this busy season of life with little ones!
married 5 years!

8/1 based on my ovulation date

How did you find out?
Took about 10 tests over the course of a week, haha. I was pretty sure I was but I must have ovulated late so it wasn’t positive until a full week past my missed period date. I didn’t believe the negative tests but also was pretty shocked it finally went positive yesterday.
