FET November 2019

Re: FET November 2019

  • @sarahroses I’m so sorry. Hoping the beta proves otherwise though.

@bobella22 Thank you! I just had my transfer and now I just have to wait. So thankful for thanksgiving for providing me with distractions. My beta is 12/2. Like the last transfer, my plan is to not test early, let the results call go to voicemail, and listen with my husband after we get off work.

Good luck to those who transferred and patience when it comes to testing ;)

  • @cashewchicken glad to hear transfer went well!!
@bobella22 i found out today that my transfer is being pushed back a little so now looking at possible 12/1 or 12/2, either way can I stay in this November chat!? 😆 My lining is not 100% where my doc wants it to be so he added Estrace to my meds and he upped my Delestrogen dose. I have an appointment on Monday for another US and blood work and will hopefully know which day I’m transferring!
@sarahroses keep us posted, hoping for a good beta!!
  • @justharrison Thank you! Yay on transfer next week! It’s great that your clinic is open on thanksgiving! Hope it goes smoothly!
@sarahroses Hoping for a strong beta today! Internet cheapies vary in quality. I remember I used it after the last FET and it was quite faint even though I had gotten a good beta result.
@faithfullywaiting3 Bummer on the transfer being pushed back, but I’m glad that your lining issue is dealt with. Hope your US result is great next Monday!

Whew, first bump in the long road over, now onto the next. I'm rooting for more good news on this thread.

  • @cashewchicken arent all clinics open on holidays even if just for transfers or retrievals?
@sarahroses woohoo!!!! Did they give you a number and when do you go back? So happy for you!
@faithfullywaiting3 when i did medicated cycles my lining would never be where it was supposed to be and they always added in vaginal estrace along with oral estrace. So i knew my transfer date would always be 3-4 days later than normal. I havent had that issue since doing natural medicated cycles (though it sucks not to have a calendar to plan my schedule around)
  • @faithfullywaiting3 Unfortunately, I got the result that I was expecting, a negative.  We're on to a December transfer!

  • @sarahroses congrats! So exciting! Hoping to see more positives soon.
@faithfullywaiting3 stinks that your transfer is pushed back... hopefully the extra time will allow for a nice lining for baby to snuggle into.
@marfi236 sorry this month didnt work out but so glad to see you already have another transfer coming up.
Afm, started progesterone suppositories today and although annoying, its making me excited for upcoming transfer. Supposed to take it 2x a day but what do I do on transfer day? Put it in before transfer in the morning as usual and be yuckyor wait until after I get home? Im assuming put it in after? Sorry for the awkward question but dont want to mess it up.🙈
  • @marfi236 I'm sorry you didn't get your positive, but like @bobella22 said, it's good to see you're getting ready for December and already have a date. Did you find it helpful to test before your beta? I'm still debating whether I want to test before my beta, I feel like it will prepare me a little, but I also know it can become a point of obsession.
    @sarahroses congrats!!!
@bobella22 I agree, as much as I wish it could be this Wednesday, what's a few more days if that means embaby has a better chance of sticking  I remember during my last FET I asked my nurse about progesterone suppositories for the day of transfer, she had me wait until I got home after transfer, but you can always ask your doctor to see what their protocol is. Good luck!!!!

Next few days will be a bit busy for me, so in case I don't log on before Thursday, I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving day!!!

  • @bobella22 - at my transfer they told me not to do the progesterone that morning. I did it when I got home from my transfer.

  • @sarahroses Congrats on your beta! Woot!
@justharrison I just assumed that the clinics will try their best to remain closed on holidays but maybe I’m mistaken. My clinic is a small clinic with two REs, so on weekends and holidays they are closed, though they still perform procedures that can’t be rescheduled on a weekday.
@marfi236 I’m sorry. But glad that you are able to try again next month. Hope December transfer’s the one!
@bobella22 I also do progesterone suppositories and my clinic asked to withhold the morning one on the day of transfer. But you should check with your RE. @faithfullywaiting3 Happy Thanksgiving!

@bobella22 my protocol in September was to take the Endometrin suppository in the AM and then take a progesterone capsule (some other kind of suppository) at least an hour after the Endometrin but no later than 2 hours before my transfer time.

So I think I did the Endometrin around 7 and the progesterone capsule at 9 since my transfer time was 10:30 and wanted to give myself enough time to lay down and let it absorb. Still ended up a little messy at transfer time but oh well.

But definitely check your doctor's protocol 🙂

  • @cashewchicken oh yeah, they only perform retrievals fets/iuis and checks that cannot be pushed to another day on the holidays. They are open on the weekends, just one location though (they have 5 offices). I go to RMA of Philly so they have a pretty big group of patients with 5 doctors (though most only work at 1 location and all filter through the surgery center )
  • @faithfullywaiting3 I like testing before my beta so I know what to expect.  I usually get the beta results while I’m at work so it’s easier to know that it’s gonna be negative before going in than to be surprised by it at work.  At least that’s how it was for both of my negatives.

  • @justharrison: First beta at 11dp5dt was over 500, I was amazed.
I'm so sorry marfi236. I know how it feels, but it's great you have something already scheduled.
  • Woohooo @sarahroses! I hope this is the first of many positives to come!
How are the rest of you ladies doing? Anybody testing or transfering soon? I had my last accupuncture treatment before transfer. I was hoping to do it the morning of tranafer, but not sure if it will work out.
Transfering on black Friday....im so excited/nervous. Most of my immediate family know were in the ivf process but they dont know any details of what and when everything will happen. I just want to be relaxed and when it happens, then will tell them.  Well hope you ladies have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Looking forward to hearing more positives.
  • @sarahroses that is amazing!!!

  • @sarahroses Great beta! Woo-hoo!!
@bobella22 My beta is next Monday. I’ve had some spotting and I’m hoping it’s not the start of AF. Wishing you a smooth and successful transfer this Friday! With my first FET, I wasn’t able to book an appointment for acupuncture right before the transfer so I only did it after but it still was successful.

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Mine consisted of being sick in bed (body aches, slight fever, head aches, runny nose). This is day 4 of this cold, I'm scared it can't be good for the little one :( Why did it have to happen like this?
  • @bobella22 Hope your transfer went smoothly!
@faithfullywaiting3 Good luck on your transfer!
@sarahroses Oh I’m sorry. Hope you recover soon. I got sick right before Thanksgiving too. Ugh. If what you have is a cold, the baby should be fine. Pregnancy weakens your immune system too, so your symptoms might be worse than if you hadn’t been pregnant. If you are worried, you should contact your RE or GP with your symptoms. Gets lots of rest and stay hydrated!

Beta is this Monday. I’m surprised how quickly the time has passed.

  • Hey ladies....transfer went well. Went right to acupuncture after we left and then fell asleep for like 3 hours. Had a little cramping too. Anybody else get super tired after their transfer?
@cashewchicken I wouldnt worry about the spotting. From what I read on the dr sheet they gave me they said spotting is normal. Cant wait to hear about your beta monday. 🙏
@sarahroses so sorry you got sick must be so stressful. Hope you feel better soon.
@faithfullywaiting3 good luck on your transfer. So exciting! Hope you keep yourself busy and your wait goes by fast.
@justharrison how did your transfer go?
  • @bobella22 congrats on the transfer! I’m always tired these days but I think I totally fell asleep during acupuncture last time. Cramping is pretty normal with catheter insertion I think. I felt a bit of cramping on the day and the day after. My spotting has stopped so thinking it could have been irritation from progesterone suppositories.
@justharrison Hope your transfer went well!

  • My lining wasnt thick enough so they triggered me the day after thanksgiving instead 🙁. So my transfer is now 12/6.

@cashewchicken i used to always have spotting from the suppository progesterone. The injection progesterone is a literal pain though. I have my fingers crossed for your beta tomorrow!!!
@bobella22 i always go home an sleep for a few hours afterwards 😃
  • @cashewchicken I hope your beta was good news. Fingers crossed.

I'm still battling this bad cold (it's been a week now) and slightly concerned.
  • @justharrison @sarahroses I have my beta result on my phone (voicemail) but I promised myself that I will wait until I get home and listen to it with my husband (like we did with our first). I’m dying to know. Luckily it’s Monday and I’ve had to work on a lot of reports and they’ve kept me busy. I so want to go home now though. Lol.
I still have my cold too, though I think I’m almost done. It’s day 6.

  • @cashewchicken i hope you get to feeling better! That is so sweet listening to the news together ❤️.
i have zero self-control. I test 3 times a day with the cheapie dip sticks starting 3dpt and then starting 5dpt i do a frer twice a day 😳. It drives DH crazy because when i get negatives i cry and throw a pity party, then talk myself up saying it is still early. The i repeat this vicious cycle 30 more times 🤦🏻‍♀️ I never learn to just wait
  • @cashewchicken I hope you had good news yesterday!
@sarahroses hope you are feeling better!
Anybody else transfering or testing soon?
Had a sonogram/bloodwork check at 3dpt yesterday and they said lining was very fluffy & since they didnt call me, im assuming bloodwork was good too. 6 more days until beta. Idk if im going to wait or test early. Transfered our 1 and only embryo (no pressure uterus). Hoping to hear about more positives from you all soon. Looks like im going to have to stalk the dec fet now 🤣
  • Thanks for your support, I got back the beta result yesterday and I’m pregnant! My clinic doesn’t perform additional betas unless the first beta is off, so I have to wait two more weeks until the US on 12/18. Ah, this is the TWW I don’t like lol.

@justharrison I’ve been there lol. I used to POAS multiple times a day, squinting, putting it under different lights, etc. the first two years of TTC journey. I had zero BFP, not even a chemical. So I decided that for IVF (FET), I’m not going to put myself through that again and just enjoy the PUPO status. Good luck on your transfer this Friday!
@bobella22 Yay on the fluffy lining! Hoping for a strong beta!
@sarahroses Hope you feel better soon. I thought I was getting over my cold but I’m not so sure. Ugh.

  • @cashewchicken Congrats! Wow, you have good self-restraint and it turned out great.
I'm still not quite over the cold, and now my whole household got it (ugh), but nausea/vomiting hit me hard already, so I'm just peachy...
  • @cashewchicken congrats!!!! That is so exciting!!!! Hoping the next two weeks goes quickly for you (and me too!!)
@bobella22 glad to hear your transfer went well!!
@sarahroses I hope you feel better soon!!
@justharrison good luck in the upcoming transfer!!!

AFM, transfer went smoothly yesterday. I also went to acupuncture afterwards and I go back tomorrow and on Friday for acupuncture sessions that focus on "sticky points" as my doctor so scientifically put it
I've been having some on and off cramping, nothing too strong, but it's so hard not to focus on every little symptom! I tell myself it's embaby getting cozy :) But from what I've been reading, cramping is common. I still haven't decided if I'll be testing early or not, not sure I have the self-control, but for now my plan is to not test. Beta is scheduled for 12/13/19, so 10 days to go! But who's counting? Me, that's who!! lol
  • Hi ladies! I’m coming over from the July 2019 IVF and August 2019 FET boards and recognize a few people @ladyp0tter and @inthewoods23 hey there! My xfer in August was a BFN. My embryos (4) were PGS tested, Dr said lining was a little thick at the time of xfer but everything else looked great so he couldn’t imagine what the problem could of been. So I did an ERA and results showed the Dr xferred too late- xfer after my window of implantation. So everything was pushed up 12hrs for this go round- I triggered at 9am vs 9pm and started PIO shots in the am vs pm. I also did things a little different for this xfer I did a natural FET so only PIO after HCG...I did acupuncture 2x a week before the xfer, and I ate pineapples core for bromelian along with Brazil nuts after the xfer...good ole wives tale! I xferred on 11/26 and I’m currently 7dpt- I tested early for my first xfer so I’m holding tight for beta on Thursday. I was super tired the day of xfer and a couple days later, I had food cravings and minor cramping. This was all last week- now I’m just feeling bloated and gassy.

    @sarahroses & @cashewchicken congrats!!!
  • @sarahroses nausea/vomiting from pregnancy or cold? Hope everyone in your household recover soon.
@faithfullywaiting3 congrats on your transfer! I’m sure 12/13 will come fast! I feel like December goes by so quickly. Hoping for strong beta!
@pathomer Hope you get your BFP today!

I want the holidays to be here already. I’m usually not that productive at work (oops) but I’m even more worse.

  • Congrats on your transfer @faithfullywaiting3 and hurray for the acupuncture sticky points. The 2ww is the worst. It is so hard to not symptom spot and not go crazy. I'm with you. Not sure if im going to test early either. My beta is Monday not sure if I can wait much longer.
@pathomer good luck on your beta today. Hoping for some more good news.
    @sararoses how you feeling?
@cashewchicken did you have any other symptoms besides spotting before you got your bfp? Asking for a friend🙈

Waiting on any beta good news here?
AFM, I've been having brown spotting and cramps for a couple of days :( I went to the doc and the ultrasound was ok he said but no explanation for the spotting and although  6w1d already, we didn't get the heart rate, which kind of worried me. He seemed a bit reserved and said anything is possible. :/ On top of that, I got hit hard with hyperemesis and ended up at urgent care for IVs. I'm so conflicted, I don't want to not feel grateful and positive for this pregnancy, and at the same time I already started feeling like death.
  • @bobella22 Haha. No other symptoms! The last pregnancy I experienced breast tenderness but this time, nope. I’m hoping everything is going okay (I have no beta to monitor the progress. Ugh).
@sarahroses I’m so sorry about the hyperemesis. Hope it goes away soon. If the doctor said anything is possible, it must be true. When do you go back for another U/S?

I remember the last time I waited until week 8 to call the OB clinic and I had to scramble to get an appointment before 12 weeks. So this time I called at 4 weeks and I still had a hard time getting an appointment. What the heck. Last time I had two u/s appointments before moving to the OB but this time I’m only doing one at my RE as my insurance doesn’t cover any monitoring at an RE’s office. I found a box of pregnancy test in a drawer (prob expired two years ago) that I might use to confirm that I’m still pregnant from now until the u/s. lol

  • @sarahroses you could have a small SCH (they are quite common in ivf pregnancies). I ended up having 2 (that grew and then eventually resolved) but i had lots of brown spotting that eventually turned into a small bleed. It made it hard for them to find the hb initially.
