Infertility

December FET

Its a little early but i figured i would go ahead and start this thread...

i am finally cleared to start another FET, we had planned to do a transfer in October but they found * TW* retained placenta from my son’s delivery in May *TW* so i finally got all that taken care of and almost done with the provera! I should have my first doctors appt within the next 10days and planning a transfer date of 12-13-19

  • @FuzzyDust i normally dont ovulate either (pcos 😑) my RE thinks is funny that i can tell which ovary has the lead follicle (i have been right 9/10 times 🤣) because that side has a pinchy feeling (i guess im really intune because im used to nothing going on lol). I dont like having pcos and all the issues related to is except not getting periods- i love that part.
@ar_ttc i hope this cycle is the lucky one! Ive heard of ladies having success with a lupron protocol.
@cashewchicken im so happy for you!! I hope you have a peaceful & restful next two weeks!!

  • Hello! I have a fresh transfer with donor eggs scheduled for this Thursday! Good luck to everyone this month!
  • Thank you ladies for all your well wishes and for all the sticky thoughts sent my way!! Transfer went smoothly and I've been focusing on positive thoughts and relaxing these last couple of days. My doctor recommended light activity for the first 48 hours and that's what I've been trying to do. I had an acupuncture session after my transfer and my acupuncturist protocol is to have another session and day 3 and 5, so that will be tomorrow and Friday. They say they focus on the sticky points, praying everything is working! So now the dreaded to week wait begins, I'm hoping some upcoming holiday parties and Christmas prep helps make time pass a little faster

Good luck to all the upcoming transfers!!! Baby dust to us all!!
  • How is everyone doing with the lining growing and those in the tww?
I’m a week into estrogen and feeling so tired, sleepy, and a bit nauseous. But at least the uterus pain/sensitivity seems to be getting better. I remember from my last FET dr told me that uterus is like a balloon - it’s hard to do the initial stretch, but the bigger it gets, the easier it stretches  :#
just a bit over 2 weeks before the transfer - So exciting!

@lunagirlnyc Thanks! Everything went well today! When is your next appointment?

    @justharrison
    @damariestomas1
Good luck on your transfers tomorrow!
  • Transfer went well! I am already sick of the PIO shots 🙁. I told myself that i will wait until at least Tuesday ( 4dp5dt) to start POAS since ive never gotten a positive before 5dp5dt but i already wanting to cave 🤦🏻‍♀️. Has anyone started testing yet or if/when do you start to test?
  • @justharrison i’m trying so hard not to test and just wait for my Beta on Friday 🤪 it has not been easy!!! we’ll see if i stick with the plan 😬
  • @justharrison I am dying to start testing, but I’m trying to hold out for now. My beta is next Sunday. I know that I don’t have the will power to wait that long! I’m hoping to wait until Thursday or Friday (7-8dp5dt).

@faithfullywaiting3 I’m really impressed by your willpower! Are you doing anything special to keep busy?

How is everyone else doing? Any updates??
  • Hey ladies!  GL to everyone who has already transferred!  And to those upcoming.... December transfers always feel like the stakes are so high, since it's our last shot at a Christmas BFP.  :# it's a hard time of year to be TTC so I hope everyone is taking good care. ❤️

AFM - We have been actively TFAS since September, when our first unmedicated transfer failed.  Then we attempted a medicated cycle in October which was cancelled due to my progesterone not rising.  🤷  November's natural cycle also failed, and we are starting to run out of embies here 😔. We transferred December 4th so I'm 4dp5dt today.  I caved today because I was home to myself and I had one last cruddy cheapie.  So it wasn't terribly satisfying anyway.  The last two times I tested out trigger and I got a true negative on a frer at 6dp5dt, so I will try to keep that in mind as a guideline.  Beta is not till Friday, but there's no way I'd want to wait to find out by checking my VM at work on my longest work day of the week.  I much prefer to find out in the comfort and privacy of my own home.  Gives me time to process.
  • Lurking****
@BusinessWife fx so hard for you. I'm so sorry your last two transfers were not successful. I'm rooting like hell for you.

  • @faithfullywaiting3 @vetgirl2011 i already caved 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3dp5dt and i spent like 10 minutes trying to find a line
I know better but just cant resist. Honestly if this is how dogs feels like when out on walks i think we are too harsh to judge and correct them 🤣
@BusinessWife i 100% agree with you about waiting to be home get listen to results. I have had one too many breakdowns at work.
Im hoping December 2019 is a magical month for us all!
    TW
my nurses (i have 2 that i see regularly) were fighting over who got to give me the news when my betas more than doubled when i was pregnant with my son, but i was at work and didnt answer (knew it was going to be bad news). They callled 5 times before leaving a vm- i ruined they joy and excitement TW

@covergirl2985 i would wait. If the beta is really low (and most are that early) you will worry the whole holiday. You could compromise and take a test at home and know that if there isnt a line its still really early and entirely likely one will appear in a few days.
TW i have had 8chemicals/miscarriages and 1 successful pregnancy and i have gotten positives on hpt starting as early as 5dp5dt and as late as 9dp5dt and betas as low as 18-110 on 9dp5dt (my successful was 20 at 9dp5dt).

    Wishing everyone magical baby dust!

  • We are all set for our transfer tomorrow (it was still uncertain up til this morning as I had fluid in my lining at my lining check last week)!  Hopefully third time’s the charm!

  • Ugh, lining check today after 2 weeks of estrace...only 6mm. Starting daily 1ml Estrodial Valerate shots tonight and back for lining check on Friday 12/13.
If I don’t get to 7 by next Wednesday my 12/19 FET will be postponed until January and will have to start over bc clinic is closed for holidays.
Any tips on what to eat to get this lining going? I heard beets and bone broth.

@BusinessWife Congrats!  SO happy for you :)

@itsbriemiller Thinking positive thoughts for you on beta day!

So I haven't been in here in a long while (my head has not been in this space for quite some time), but it occurred to me that I go here.  We're back ttc #2.   FET of our only normal male is scheduled for Monday 12/16 (which happens to be #1's birthday...transfer will happen between her AM pictures and her afternoon shots, er 12 month appointment - can't get her her MMR shot soon enough!)

Doing mostly natural cycle (Estrace makes me VERY unhappy and the natural cycle TW? "worked" last time) so I was waiting to get my +opk which happened this past Monday night.  Went in to see RE Tuesday morning who confirmed with u/s that I had not yet ovulated and bloodwork corroborated that (I wasn't too close because my RE's out of the country till Sunday and we strongly prefer him to his partners). Lining was 10 and no fluid (apparently that's a risk after having had a c-section), so things look fine.  Just started Endometrin today "just in case," although looking back at the time I did this that stuck I didn't start the Endometrin till a couple days later after I ovulated and now it's making me paranoid.

I look forward to following your journeys!

@artemis618. So great to see you back here!  Best of luck!  That sounds like an awesome, crazy busy day.  Fx the magic in the chaos works out for you!

@covergirl2985 I drank bone broth and beet juice too, and/or beet salads, pom juice, pomegranate fruit, and prenatals.s.s.  I had learned about and tried l-carnitine, but I only tried it the first cycle back
    ***TW***loss
    <div class="Spoiler">(that didn't work)</div>
So I can't say I recommend it.  I liked a brand of beet juice that came in a 2-pack on amazon I think it was called Heaven and Earth.

@wildrainbow hey!!!  Glad to see you here, even if you still are getting used to the idea. (((Hugs)))

@hanshotfirst77 Congrats on the great scan!  How awesome to see baby doing well 😊
  • @BusinessWife  congrats!!!!
@covergirl2985  i always had issues with thickening my lining on the estrace
TW that ended up beinging the reason for all my chemicals/miscarriages- even though bloodwork looked fine on oral estrace, my body wasnt responding. My only success was a natural/medicated cycle

AFM 6pd5dt and still getting Bfns. I think this cycle is a bust. 🙁
