@stlbuckeye132@stlbuckeye132 it was at her official anatomy scan a month later. The technician could see it right away and she asked me "you know what you're having?" And I said "a boy right?" And she went "uhhhh" It took me a while to process because I had thought I was having a boy for a month before that!

@mytrueloves oh boy! The complete opposite happened to a friend of mine. She was told she was having a girl from the get go. It wasn’t until she was full term and needed an additional ultrasound that they determined it was actually a boy! She had bought everything as if having a little girl.
@rachelredhead yes! That’s what I loved too. I “read” (I looked up things when they were relevant) A Panic Free Pregnancy and I just really appreciate the ability to make fact based decision on things... like having a glass of wine.
I know we don’t have enough threads to really worry about it now, but should we sticky the question thread? Or do you guys think people will use it enough that it’ll always be up towards the top anyway?

@dancingtreepose This was 100% my predicament this weekend. At dinner I said no beer because it is too filling (which is usually true for me) and I'll have wine at home.
My MIL poured me a huge glass of wine! I pretended to take sips and slowly dumped it when she and FIL were not looking. LOL
NOW I have to get through xmas with them....
I'm on board with the n/a wine as I just heard about it right before they came, so no time. But being at their house I'll have to figure out how to go about that. SIGH
I haven't even begun to think about when I'm going to tell our families, yet. They all live out of town so we can't tell them all at once. Last time we sent packages to them with grandparent/aunt/cousin gifts. My ILs are going to be in town the last week of december when I'm around 6-7w- not just DH parents, but his brother and sister, too. Which coincidentally was the same time in my 1st trimester they came in town during my last pregnancy. I'm not that excited about them coming because they don't really know how to take a hint and not over stay their welcome when they come over to our place. Just hoping I won't be too nauseous by then. At least they're not bug drinkers so I won't have to hide anything.
@stlbuckeye132 have you tried the app Babyname? It's like tinder for baby names. You and your partner both sign up and you can swipe left or right for names you like/dislike. If you both match on a name it saves it to a list. DH and I used it last time and it helped us.
