Did you recently find out you are pregnant?

@dontoya You are five months pregnant, in your sixth month of pregnancy. My due date is 2/16 which is pretty close to yours. I am 25 weeks pregnant, which is 5 months, 3 weeks pregnant. But since month one starts at zero months pregnant, this is our sixth month of pregnancy. It's kind of like your baby is zero years old the first year but that first year is also her first year alive. Different apps use different terms which makes it confusing.

@dontoya It's always great to have new people join. I suggest you take a moment to introduce yourself in the proper introductions thread. Also, there's some great information pinned to the top that can help you understand the best place to add to conversations versus starting unique threads with questions that only pertain to yourself.

You know you dont have to be so rude a question is never to stupid to ask if you have nothing nice to say then just dont answer. To the women who were nice enough to answer my question thank you so much and have a blessed day .

Also, you can try Google. Click link below:

Hint: the first link showing up will be from What To Expect. You are 25 weeks pregnant as of today.

@dontoya I am with @craftywitch on this one. If you have questions, that is fine but please take the time to acquaint yourself with board culture first so that you can post your questions in the appropriate place. These one off threads clutter up the board and are annoying to those of us who post regularly.

@dontoya a lot of questions like that can be answered by google or calling your doctor to have them explain it to you. Your doctor should be able to tell you how many weeks you are at your first check up and they should verify it by measurements. Definitely should introduce yourself here first. Just as you would in any conversation.

Also pregnancy is measured in weeks, not months because a full 40 week pregnancy is actually 10 months long.

@mandk1233 - except there are 4.3 weeks in a month so it is 9 months :) If you think about it, my LMP was 5/08 and I am due 2/16 (long ovulation cycle) so if you count from May to February that's nine months.

@leksiL if you go over 40 weeks, then you are technically IN your 10th month of pregnancy, but you will never actually make it to a full 10 months lol

    4 weeks ≠ 1 month , except in non-leap-year February’s.
