Welcome to everyone who joined recently! I began taking BCP last month and just chugging along. My clinic is going to send the protocol next Monday. Looks like my FET date will be early next month!
Me: 41 DH: 46 Unexplained infertility/AMA, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance FET#1(July 2017): eSET of first of 4 PGS-normal embryos, DS born 3/30/2018 FET#2(Oct/Nov 2019): eSET
I had monitoring today and everything looks good for a natural FET. I took my trigger shot tonight. Transfer is scheduled for Thursday 10/17, Godwilling. Do your clinics monitor the day before transfer too?
Hi all. My clinic has me on estrogen only right now. I have been taking it for six days. I did an ultrasound today and they said I am good to go for an FET in one week, and to start crinone and prometrium sunday and they didnt need any blood or ultrasounds. I dont have any lupron or trigger shots in my protocol.
should I be getting another ultrasound before or day of transfer? Do you guys have your last ultrasound a week before transfer? I wasnt sure if that was normal. I only have one embryo, I am nervous.
Transfer went smoothly except it got a little delayed and I had overfilled bladder to wait that long. TMI - Dr. let me pee some and I was much more comfortable. Just waiting as patiently as possible and trying not to be too anxious. Beta will be 10/21.
Elle131 I have no experience with natural FET. My clinic does not look again after the monitoring about a week out. They start the PIO shots and endometrium (sp?) and then you see the Dr. day off.
@casey301 my last check is 6 days before transfer just to check the lining and make sure my levels are all good. I believe for a medicated, the estrace is supposed to suppress ovulation? I've only ever had an ultrasound the week prior to transfer.
Thanks for the 💕. Just transferred an hour ago. Everything went well! The embryo was already hatching and found a great spot near my upper lining. My clinic plays classical music... such a monumental event. I AM pregnant until proven otherwise. Happy vibes to @aes324 and @nasah15
-delurking- @casey301 A doctor might able to see signs of ovulation on the scan when they are doing a transfer and the bloodwork would also indicate if you ovulated naturally. My clinic ran bloodwork a day or two before transfer just to be sure everything was looking good. When I first went to the RE there was a question of whether or not I was ovulating since I never had a truly positive OPK and the doctor was able to point out the corpeus luteum from ovulation on my initial scan so he was pretty sure I was (which the bloodwork seconded).
Exciting that you guys will be transferring soon! Good vibes

I need some honest thoughts/opinions here. FET is currently scheduled tentatively for 10/28, most likely in the afternoon. DH's boss just snagged 4 tickets to Game 5 of the World Series which is on 10/27. It'll be a late night but I mean....game 5 of the world series (!!!!!). Would you all have any reservations about going the night before a transfer?
*lurker here* @mtpbadger screw the late night, I say do whatever makes you happy up until the day of transfer! If the transfer is in the afternoon you could totally sleep in that day with the late night and be well rested for transfer.
How often are you ever going to get your hands on tickets like this again? I gobble up free ticket offers for sports games if it's ever offered to me. No shame!

@inthewoods23 that was my thoughts but DH was hesitant about accepting tickets for us b/c of the transfer so that put the little seed of worry/doubt in my head. Leading up to our last transfer (which was a success) we went to a baseball playoff game a few days before transfer so I told DH it might be good luck and we already know where the medical room is in order to do the PIO shot lol!
Well..I’ve been testing faintly positive since Sunday (6dp5dt) but my beta was 41 today (11dp5dt) and my clinic said they like to see a minimum of 100. I go back Tuesday and I’m hoping with everything that the number doubles. It’s really hard to remain optimistic. My husband doesn’t understand what any of this means - he asked me if there was anything I could do to raise the HCG or if my cold was a reason why it was so low. I just want to lock myself in my room and cry for a bit but I am home alone with our four year old.
POAS this morning and it was definitely positive. Line was much darker than my other positive from June FET.
My first beta is Monday. Hoping unlike last time the number starts out strong. Now even firmer believer that the accupuncture made the difference for me.
I think the game tickets are a wonderful opportunity. Go for it.
@mtpbadger I agree with the others. The game sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity go for it!

I POAS Monday the day of my beta and it was positive. I’ve had 3 betas so far and they are the highest I’ve ever had. 379 10dp5dt 1007 12dp5dt 2844 14dp5dt. So I’m taking that as a good sign. There was an issue with my progesterone but my RE added a suppository to my PIO and that seemed to help. First scan is in 2 weeks.
@bluguitarhannah how did your beta go yesterday? Fingers crossed for a strong number!
@marhar19 how is the TWW going? Why does the two weeks always feel like it takes FOREVER?! When will your beta be? Will you test early?
@lrynwnab looks like I am one day behind you! Had my check today and my lining was a 7.3 (!!!) It's NEVER been above a 5.5 so I was shocked. Just waiting on the call from my nurse this afternoon to make sure blood work came back okay but transfer will be on 10/28. My clinic makes us wait the full two weeks before beta and I've never tested early - I'm too scared! (at least they used to, not sure if anything has changed in the last two years).
Thanks ladies - glad you all think I should go to the game. I'm so excited!
@mtpbadger ugh it’s going lol. Right?!!! I’m 4dp3dt and I’m going nuts! Not sure when my beta will be, still going in for monitoring of my levels. I’m guessing some time next week. I’ve never tested early, but I feel like I need to this time! Lol I may test in 4 days.
I also think you should go to the game! Good luck on your transfer!
@marhar19 I did both my HPT on 9 days in the two cycles that were successful. I think it would have shown on day 8 but that was my sanity point. Those happened to be 2 days before Beta. That's odd they didn't you beta date the day of your transfer. Clinics are all so different for the same thing.
Guys, question. I had my frozen embryo transfer four days ago, and I am impatient so I used a FRER today. There is a very very light pink line. Is it too early for that to be accurate? And can anything else at all cause that to be positive (i didnt use a trigger shot)?? I am having a very very hard time believing its anything after so many failed attempts.
confirmed chemical today; my beta was 3. Has anyone jumped right back in on the next cycle? The nurse told me to give them a call when my period starts and that we can go from there. I am grieving and this hurts so much right now but I have heard good things about cycling within three months of a chemical.
also, can anyone give me more info on PGD testing? We denied it at first because I had done genetic testing to ensure I didn’t have the cystic fibrosis gene and we had a successful pregnancy, but now I’m wondering if we should ask for it.
@casey301 Thank you for being as impatient as me!!! We both transferred the 17th, and I also tried an FRER this morning. The line was so faint I was wondering if I could only see it because I wanted to so badly. I will try again tomorrow, but I am scared it will stay faint and be a CP...
@erbear84 I am so sad to hear your news. I do not know the next steps, but please keep us all posted so we can support you and learn through you.
@erbear84 I’m so sorry, chemicals are so tough emotionally. I’ve had a few and always jumped right back into another transfer as soon as my period started.
After several failed transfers, we talked to my RE about doing PGS testing on any remaining embryos but she was hesitant due to the thawing, testing and refreezing could increase the risk of losing any of them so we didn’t pursue it.
